Bloomestate Swellendam

My husband and I spent 2 fantastic days at this heavenly place. Chere and Calvin made our stay outstanding with their kind guidance and attention to so many details such as fab decor, beautiful grounds, cool pool. The breakfast was outstanding. Lovely touches such as chocs on pillows, bath salts and candles plus a little box full of items you might need made our visit so special. Thank you for sharing your beautiful estate with us.

What a wonderful experience and location! The rooms are modern, well decorated and very clean and tidy. There is a lovely homemade touch with some of the products like the lemonade and ability to pick your own citrus on your walk about in the orchard. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. All in all an absolute pleasure and will highly recommend. The fireplace and board games in the recreational area are quite enticing for a weekend break next winter :) Thank you to the owner for sharing her beautiful estate!

This bed & breakfast was my favorite of the places we stayed in South Africa. We were there only 1 night, and I wish that we could have stayed much longer. Every aspect of the property seems to be mindfully curated to create a sense of peace and refreshment. The rooms are in separate small buildings laid out around a central courtyard with a pool. The tasteful decor and amenities all contribute to a feeling of relaxation and wellness. There is a citrus grove on the property where you can pick fresh mandarins and lemons in season (which they were -- absolutely wonderful!). Breakfast on the enclosed patio was charming and delicious, although with binoculars in hand I could hardly concentrate on the food. There is an abundance of bird life on the property, with nice walking trails taking you around the grounds. It was too cool during our short visit for us to take advantage of the outdoor pool. There is a nice local pizzeria/restaurant just down the street. Swellendam is conveniently located to the De Hoop Nature Reserve.

Our stay at Bloomestate was absolutely wonderful.||The excellent service, the location, and the friendly en caring owners make it more than worth a visit.||The owners gave us also great tips about the area and where to eat. They are happy to make a restaurant reservation for you.||Our room was perfectly decorated and had a fantastic view. The bed was incredible comfortable. ||I would highly recommend a stay at Bloomestate to everyone. As soon as we are back in South Africa we will definitely return.

This is a wonderful place in which to stay if visiting Swellendam. The property is very well appointed and offers everything one would want for a very relaxing stay. Cheré and Calvin, the proprietors, do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and successful. I simply cannot recommend Bloomestate highly enough.

best guesthouse in town or even in western cape, we really enjoyed our stay. breakfast is amazing and garden + pool are wonderful. i can highly recommend it

Delightrul B&B in beautiful gardens. The rooms are spacious and all individually decorated, They have everything you could possibly want and there are kitchen facilities in a separate block if you need them, Breakfast is outstanding. Cheré and Calvin are both very friendly and helpful. Cheré provides information about local restaurants and is very happy to book for you if you would like her to, We would not look anywhere else if we are staying within a reasonable distance of Swellendam, Thank you very much indeed. The B&B has a wonderful garden (good for birds) and an orchard. ℂ𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖́ and Calvin are welcoming hosts, attentive and thoughtful. Our room was spacious and well appointed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, looking out to the garden and woodland. The breakfast was easily the best we have had at a B&B in Southern Africa.
