I visited Blooming Hill Farm this weekend for brunch with a friend and had a really nice experience.
When we arrived, the parking lot was almost full and we both had to wait for other cars to leave. It was also very muddy and you have to walk down a small hill, so definitely choose your footwear accordingly!
When we walked down to the restaurant, the host seated us right away. The atmosphere was very nice inside, with lots of exposed wood and plants everywhere. The menu was on a QR code on the table, and they also had the WiFi password as cell service is not great there. There were many things on the menu that looked great, and it was tough to decide! Our waitress came over a few times while we were deciding, but once we had decided it took a while for her to come back and actually take our order. We were nervous because the confirmation email for our reservation said it was a 1 hour time limit (which I didn't see on their website or when we made the reservation) but they didn't seem to enforce it.
For my meal, I had the winter hash which was delicious. I also had a scone and hot cider. The cider wasn't quite as hot as I prefer, but it was nicely flavored and the scone was good. My friend ordered the breakfast pizza, which came out at least 10 minutes after my meal. It was a little bit awkward because I had to decide between being polite and waiting, or letting my eggs get cold.
As we were finishing our meal, we mentioned going to the farm store and our waitress said it was closing soon. She suggested we go over to the shop before paying our check, which was nice of her. The store had a reasonable selection and the prices seemed fair, I bought some carrots, herbs, and cheese to take home.
All in all, this was a very cute spot. The atmosphere felt laid back and friendly. The food was very good, and I liked that I could purchase from fresh produce to take home with me. I'd definitely recommend it as a nice place to spend an hour or two on a weekend!
