Great contemporary pub with amazing food originating from Eastern Maritime Cuisine. Many of the appetizers are a little on the expensive side, but I believe it to be worth it in the end. The lobster rolls in particular are absolutely amazing and need to be tried at least once if you choose to dine here. Parking in the neighborhood van be tough to find, but there are many pay parking lots close by within easy waking distance.

✅💰Come in for happy hour! We had great appys and drinks sf a great price. The star of the show was the lobster rolls this outing! I’ve had the fish n chips before too. Highly recommend for tasty seafood! Atmosphere can get a bit loud during dinner time but will still be back! 🤤 Will be coming back again! Pictured is lobster rolls and shrimp basket 🍤 🦞

Been going there for 6yrs. Awesome place, great drink specials. Very down to earth ppl, staff. East Coast flare. Has some live entertainment. Love the East Coast music, nice change from top 20. If you like a modern setting, quiet nooks and booths. Super friendly staff, Max, Hailey, 2x Ben's So, if you want to bring a friend, or make some new one's. ..

Google
The best fish and chips in the city, period! See pic. Alaina my server was probably the best server I have had in the city too! This place is as friendly as Nova Scotia itself. And they have Propeller and Keith's from Halifax on tap. And an extensive selection of Nova Scotia tall boys (see pic). A real slice of the East Coast in every way. See my pics of the menus, there's something superb for everybody. Can't wait to be back ... for those fish and chips and that warm welcoming smile.

We tried the seafood tower, and some other dishes. Everything was great . Seafood tower was worth the price. All the food were great . Very friendly staff. Also on the day we visited therewas a Trivia happening . The place has seating for small and larger groups. Highly recommend

I have got to say the service here is lovely. We went on a Wednesday night this week and our server was so nice and recognized us when we came in today. Super sweet! Food is also good and the caesar great.

Google
Easy to make a reservation online. There was plenty of seating when we went her for dinner on Sunday night. Service was great, super attentive and friendly. The OG caesar and mocktail was tasty. The mini lobster rolls are always great

Google
The food was delicious, and everything we ordered was very good. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. However, the service was somewhat slow, it took a while to place our order and for the food to arrive.

Yelp
January 2024. Came here as guest of our son. He told us this place has very good Halifax Street food. The server was very friendly and on top of the drinks and food orders. We ordered OG Donair Benny, two Sausage Bacon Hash bowels, Halifax Donair Poutine. We must say everything was very delicious and well worth the trip downtown Calgary Mission Area. The inside is very modern and trendy, and very clean. -washrooms are downstairs and very clean. - pay parking on the street, or lots We would definitely be returning the food for brunch was very good.

Yelp
Busy spot in Mission with a good selection of Nova Scotia -ish dishes like Pictou County pizza, donair, clams and fish & chips. Style is like an east coast tavern. Service is friendly but can be slow when it's really busy. Good vibe with good food and lots of drinks choices. Parking in the area is a bit scarce.

Yelp
Every time I come to B&B I have a blast. The food and drinks are alway amazing. Hats off to the B&G team. Thank you If you have gone here, I would recommend checking it out.

Yelp
Business lunch. Cool spot. Service was spectacular. I ordered the fish and chips. The Cole slaw was amazing. I asked for 2nd portion - it was that good. The fish was flaky and tasty. Fries on point. Recommend.

Yelp
Frozen seafood? Why for the love of food would you do such a thing to us mere mortals?

Yelp
Friday night with a group of 6. Wow, acoustics are terrible. Super loud. Needed to practically yell to have a conversation (not exaggerating). With that said, the12 year old waiter was a stranger to our table, had to hunt him down just to get a water. Terrible service. Food took forever to arrive and was warm at best. Prices were silly expensive in my opinion for what you get, but that's just my opinion. Price should be based on quality of food and ambiance. This place lacked both to be truthful. But in saying all of this, the place was packed... maybe this place is for a younger crowd lol. Our group age ranged from 28-78 and everyone's experience was the same with what I posted here. I really wanted this place to be good as it's conveniently located... We won't be back.

Yelp
After a very bad break up with my last fish & chip place over coleslaw (they were charging $5 for a 50 ml container when they remembered it, and I had tried to make it work for a while) I felt adrift. Then Blowers & Grafton started making an appearance on my socials and I was willing to see if there truly were other fish in the sea. Now B&G is our fave! Their lobster rolls are quite nice. Substantial pieces of meat with a pleasant dill note. Fish and chips are delightful. The grilled lemon is a wonderful touch and their tartar recipe has really grown on me. The Fisherman's feast is sooo good for variety. It will feed more than one person or provide a few meals. It has fish and chips, fried clams, scallops and prawns. My fam and friends prefer Calgary style shawarma (I love that too) but I quite like the Halifax sweet-sauced donair's here too. I hear Sage Hill is getting a B&G and I am chuffed there will be one nearby. Oh! And their coleslaw is fabulous and copious. Bon appetit!

Yelp
Really good Canadian food and great drinks! Outdoor patio was amazing to sit at in the summer months.

Yelp
First time trying out this place. Great selection on the menu ended up getting a poutine. Good food just the service was slow but in general would come back again to try other items from the menu.

Yelp
Not impressed considering the cost. First time they messed up my order, got home and there was a fries missing so had to drive back to pick it up. Second time waited 20 minutes for a take out order even though it wasn't that busy. My son complained about the lack of fries that came with the donair. In his words "barely got any fries.". Spent nearly $40 for two donairs and fries this time. Unlikely I will give them another chance. Too bad. I really wanted to like the place.

Yelp
they are very unprofessional. my husband applied for the new opening restaurant at Shawnessy and he got hired even received email updates. He was even asked to put his two weeks notice and now that theyre opening, he was told that he didn't make it to the roster. He has been waiting for 2 months, and he was unemployed for a month because of them. Management not good.

Yelp
Beige is a generous description. They are a chain restaurant. There is nothing special about the food. They attempt east coast food

Yelp
We're back in business baby! Last night was a momentous occasion; I was able to sit in a bar, yes in it, not on the patio, not susceptible to Calgary's fickle weather, thrilled to be in the company of good friends bonding over great drinks and food. It doesn't get any better than this. Blowers & Grafton is a staple. Perfect for sharing--I'm a firm believer that meals are meant to be shared--their Halifax inspired food always hits the spot. RATING: 8.5/10 - Blowers & Grafton Last night we dug into Almost Famous Donair Nachos--crispy chips, succulent donair meat, and sweet donair sauce. These had all the fixings. Replacing the typical heavy corn chips with the lighter kettle chips was a nice touch. I tried a couple of cocktails from their new drink menu--the Anne's Raspberry Cordial and Annapolis Apple Sour. I especially adored the sour which is Blowers & Grafton's take on a traditional whiskey sour. Tart and refreshing, it was the perfect Friday night bevy! Thanks Blowers & Grafton for initiating my gal pals and me indoors after our most recent lock down. ‍

Yelp
This review is for the Creekside location. We came here on a Saturday and there was live music. Lots of mosquitos inside as it is in a field. We got the lobster rolls with seafood chowder which was really good. The philly cheese steak was just okay as it had a lot of green peppers which overtook the flavor of the sandwich. The chips could have been larger cut as it was crumbs as a side. The smore as dessert wasn't melted enough however the chocolate was high quality and quite good. Atmosphere is good, it would be cool if they showed UFC or sports games here

Jean K.

Yelp
We went on Nov.14 and lucky us Tuesday's is 4$ off fish and chips. Of course our meal was delicious. Sometimes you can get greasy fish but not here. The portions were great and our server was also very good. The restaurant is very nice inside only con I could think of was that it was noisy. Well it's a new restaurant and everyone including myself have been waiting for it to open. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
If you're thinking about working for this company don't bother. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and rude. They offered my husband a job and said they would call after the stampede was done to set up a time to start going over things, they ever did and my husband tried numerous times to contact them. They called again a month later and set up a time to call but didn't. When my husband asked when would be a good time to talk they responded with sorry were just busy. They txted him a week later stating that the new location is not set up yet and they will be having a hiring fair when it it and my husband was welcome to come to it. I will never eat here and unless you like working for liars I would recommend applying somewhere else

Yelp
Edit - this is about the new location in Shawnessy. Have no idea about the other locations.... Blowers & Grafton, more like Blows and Grifting. Went on Friday night with family. Ambience is alright, a touch loud but I'm getting old. Server was lovely. The decor and lighting were really nice. Food wait was a tad bit longer than I'd like but whatever. we ordered regular donair with $3 extra charge for cheese, two poutines, and fish tacos. It all came at temperatures that were ridiculous. like tepid. they put the poutine in room temp cast iron pans, what tf do you think is gonna happen? yeah it's sucks the heat out of the food. just plainly stupid and rookie mistake. to be honest I think they also barely bothered to reheat/keep warm our food anyway. I say reheat because the donair was obviously pre-made and microwaved - they boast catering Halifax pub and street fare but it's a goddamn joke. you'll get much better, fresher, and larger donairs at Greco pizza at half the price. It was small, weak, sparingly tossed with a few diced tomato and onions... the $3 extra charge for cheese? it was no more than a tablespoon of finely shredded mozzarella just stuck in at one spot. was really disappointed but I'm from the east coast so I had expectations, scratch that - there's no effing fault on my part it was a stupid joke of a donair. the fries were also gross, like over-fried and just laying around waiting to get re-rewarmed to 30C. my kids LOVE poutine, they barely finished half of this cold crap because it was too salty. fish tacos were said to have decent combination of flavours but more of the same rerewarmed overfried suspicions. Overpriced, overconfident, underwarmed, underwhelming. You should definitely pass.

Yelp
@jasonsalwayshungry Blowers and Gafton was seemed a little cookie cutter on the high end pub scene it was near are river float so we sailed in! I split the lobster rolls and after further review I would say rocket bump up and shout out to the individual baked mini loafs they cut the sandwich out of! 8/10 #elbowriver #calgary #alberta #canada #foodtour #foodie #foodcritic #alwayshungry

Yelp
Ordered via Uber Eats this evening. Ordered the following dishes: MINI LOBSTER ROLLS - pretty tasty and fresh. Love the bread - reminds me of Maine's lobster rolls! HALIFAX WORKS pizza - added goat cheese - really tasty, not a lot of sauce but still pretty good. The peperoni we ordered was mild. You can get the TNT pepperoni if you want. It left a bit of a tang in your mouth. HERITAGE WILD BLUEBERRY SALAD - a mesclun mix with sliced red onions, walnuts, goat cheese and blueberry salad dressing. We didn't put too much of the blueberry dressing into the salad and it still tastes great! A good intro to Halifax food. I want to try the donair next time.

Yelp
Even though the kitchen was running behind on the day I went, the food came out in 10 minutes & was awesome! The waitress was very friendly & the hostess was real sweet to accommodate us even though we had no reservation.

Cari W.

Yelp
Not sure what has happened with B & G...we SPECIFICALLY asked what the market price was for lobster rolls and the server informed us. However, on the bill the rolls were 7 dollars more! $31.00 for about 3 tablespoons of lobster is ridiculous! The rolls were filled with coleslaw and had a dollop of lobster on top. What a price gouge! We also ate the nachos which used to have lots of donair meat. Now, you need to dig through a ton of onions to find a few literal CRUMBS of meat; it was like we had asked for veggie nachos or something! It could be a great spot if the food matched their price point. If they are going to charge so much for everything, they should give you your money's worth...like it is done in Halifax!

Debbie H.

Yelp
Halee was out server tonight and did an outstanding job! She made our visit enjoyable and attended to our eve need!

David B.

Yelp
I visited Blowers and Grafton in Symons Valley today for lunch. I splurged and ordered the mini lobster rolls. If you blindfolded me me I would not have gest I was eating lobster. It tasted more like canned crab meat that tasted funky. I experienced stomach cramps and diarrhea. Won't be going there again

Afroza N.

Yelp
Gone to the creekside location twice. Saturday night had a live band, made the experience enjoyable. Had the fish and chips - delicious as the fish was crispy and loved the coleslaw. Enjoyed their mini lobster rolls for brunch. Didn't disappoint, loved the yummy bread, lots of lobster meat, but could have used more dill. Got the spicy Avocado dip .... Didn't realize they charged $2.00 for a small container but loved it!!!

Yelp
I went for lunch and ordered the shrimp po'boy. There are several adjectives that are better than awful and I can't decide which one to use. 5 overcooked shrimp with a couple of slices of pink, not red, pink tomatoes, a few bits of wilted greens that resembled lettuce all drenched in some sort of mayo based sauce all on a grotesquely huge cheap white bun for $20. The fries were so soggy they were inedible. The cherry on top was the poor service. My server was more interested in chatting with their friend than checking on how I was doing. I had planned to have a few drinks and spend a couple of hours there. I was out of there in 45 minutes and won't be back. A final thing to note, I always pay cash and tip 20%; if you say "do you want any change back?" I cut your tip in half.

Yelp
I was a regular patron here. Today, I came with some friends for halihr. The server, a new person, asked my buddy whether he wanted a 5oz wine or 10oz wine. He ordered a 10oz. This is not on the menu, 8oz is. She basically served him two glasses of wine at once. They also charged us an absurd amount for my other friend's alcohol free soft drink. Careful with the upselling. This place used to be good value. Now they f*** you. Ripped off and disappointed.

Lou A.

Yelp
I tried the cheesesteak sandwich with fries and it was so delicious that I came back the next weekend to try their burger which wasn't as impressive in the taste category but still good

B W.

Yelp
High hopes for this Halifax themed pub. We tried an assortment of menu items including lobster mini sandwiches, seafood chowder, fish and chips, mushroom garlic pizza, and House special pizza. The best of the lot was the fish and chips. The fish was nicely battered with moist haddock on the inside. Chips were like home made fires. Cole slaw was, well, like cole slaw. Mushroom pizza was interesting and different. The other dishes were average. So given that this is a Halifax themed pub you would have hoped that all of their seafood dishes would have been extraordinary. Well they proved that wrong with the chowder and the lobster sandwich being just meh. So best bet is to stick with the fish and chips. If they had an all you can eat fish and chip night, I'd be there!

Leon K.

Yelp
I was very disappointed. The fries were not house cut as the waitress suggested, the fish batter was greasy, the lobster portion was way to small for the amount of toasted bread to the point that you could hardly taste the lobster, regular bread instead of mini buns. coffee was served cold, the best part was the service.

Olivia C.

Yelp
The worst service I think I have ever actually had. We walked in, waited at least 25 minutes for a server to even come take a drink order, waited another 15 for our drinks and she forgot 2 of them, then waited another 40 for someone to come and take our meal order, and then probably another 45 or so after they took our plates for the bill. I am someone who honestly has so much respect for servers, I am a patient person but this service today was literally appalling. Don't waste your time or money here, it's so not worth it.

Toni V.

Yelp
We stopped here after work after noticing it was a relatively new addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and Covid-compliant. The meal was not only delicious, but was also presented with a lot of care and attention. The best part of our experience was our server, Marie. She was attentive, friendly, and funny. We will definitely be back!
