Google
Really awesome menu, with very affordable lunch options!! Service was slow and food took awhile to come out for some reason, other tables received theirs in a decent time. The food however was excellent!! I would come again

Irene Gomez

Google
The kimchi fries were amazing, the rice plates were good the marinade on the short ribs were really good, and the drunken noodles could have used more flavor. The place and ambience is nice but the service could have been better.

Google
Pho are great! I tried the beef ones, quite filling!! Appetizers are quite expensive and overpriced for the portions and flavor.

Google
This was my first time here and it was outstanding!! Mayna our waitress was so sweet and made recommendations on the menu for our first time! We got the Bugulgi lettuce wraps and some of the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. My overall favorite was the Siracha Kimchi Fries!! If you come here you have to try them! It’s enough of a portion to share or eat for your entree! 10/10 experience, customer service, and FOOD! Thank you Mayna!

Google
Been here twice. First time had the rice plate with pork. It was fine. This last time we wanted to try the Hot Pot, staff let us know they no longer offer that. They haven't updated their menus. So we got the banh mi bites, vermicelli bowl, and beef pho. Both were very good.

Google
Had a lunch meeting here and service and food were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their apps and entrees. The seared tuna salad was great. Rice pineapple dishes are legit. AC works really well in here - bring a coat!

Google
Offers decent daily specials (not including Sundays) and pretty much would be the only reason why I would come here. I tried this place multiple times, and every time I want to really like it, I leave just feeling content. The kimchi fries are the only thing I think is really good, but their large pho should not be considered a large. Yes, it may be a “deep concave-shaped” bowl but that is a small bowl compared to other pho bowls like in the New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas areas. It was also mainly noodles and had barely any protein…but I like how they are not stingy with their veggies. The veggies were fresh especially the bean sprouts. I also feel like their short ribs rice plate isn’t the same as previous times I tried it…tbh I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again. The banh mi bites aren’t worth it either. It’s basically a whole banh mi cut into bite sizes. You could get a banh mi for half the price at an Asian market and either eat it as is or cut it up yourself. Overall, I’ll only come here if someone wants to go and for the daily specials. If you do like this place, please let me know what dish you like because I really want to know. I want to like this restaurant so badly, but I don’t know why everything I order, I don’t like…hopefully I’ll find something I enjoy besides the kimchi fries

Google
Fantastic dining atmosphere all around. Always extremely friendly and helpful Waiters/Waitresses. Staff are also very warm-hearted and friendly. ALL the food is fast and PHENOMENAL!!! This town is so lucky to have such a wonderful place to dine and hang out stress free!!

Yelp
We were seated immediately. The greeter was nice and bubbly. We haven't been in a 2-3 years so we were excited to see the inside and the menu items. We decided on the potstickers for the appetizer and we both got beef pho. it was delicious! I recommend the beef round eye and the brisket.

Peyton F.

Yelp
Blu Basil is bomb! The prices are extreme reasonable, the food comes fast and always tastes fresh, nice service, and a cute ambiance. My friends and I sat outside, it was perfect weather. Lafayette staple!

Renee B.

Yelp
Delicious Vietnamese fusion! They put modern twists on traditional dishes. I absolutely love the bread they use for their Banh mi bites. The lettuce wraps were outstanding, the vermicelli bowls were delicious and I can't think of anything that wasn't flavorful and fresh. Definitely want to bring my kids back to try it out. I think they would love it.

Yelp
I finally found a place I like in Lafayette, Louisiana... Before a flight home, I looked for some Vietnamese because the Thai places here are just terrible. Bun Bo hue lunch! $9.99. The flavor was there, the portion not so much. I guess you get what you paid for. As you cannot see in the picture...noodles, brisket, sliced beef, and Vietnamese ham. Next time I will order the full portion. Also got a side order of stir fry tofu. Absolutely delicious. The restaurant was clean and not busy when I arrived. My server was awesome as well.

Catherine G.

Yelp
Food was awesome, service was very good and the atmosphere. Check it out if you want something different and authentic in a nice atmosphere.

Brooke S.

Yelp
We love blu basil! We always get the sriracha kimchi fries, short rib rice plate and the dang ribeye and it's always delicious

Evelyn C.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Service was not very friendly. Our waitress made no effort to be friendly or personable. Food came from the kitchen one meal at a time which meant it took almost 30 minutes for the entire party to be served. The restaurant atmosphere was calm and conversation was easy because background music was very low and calm.

Amber M.

Yelp
Went there twice with decent service but this last time 2 weekends ago made me not want to go back, went there and it was not busy at all, got sat and walked out almost 30 minutes later because no one approached us for a drink order even, I had my one year old with me who was cranky snd hungry, definitely not going back after that.

Leslie H.

Yelp
The food was delicious and fresh! Will definitely be back! We popped in for a quick lunch and had quick service and amazing food!

Karla K.

Yelp
Always looking for good food on the road. We drove from Galveston to the Keys. On the way back we stopped in Lafayette on the way home. My husband thought it was bit far from I-10. But we wanted Pho and the reviews were good. With all trips off the beaten path I believe a blessing ensues and to my surprise they have INDONESIAN food. This is a rare find outside of maybe Seattle or Queens. For me it was in Dallas in the home of my Dutch Indonesian Grandmother (she looked Indonesian and never made Dutch food). The stop created great joy for me and the Jakarta Style Soup was so yummy and felt so familiar. My husband topped his vermicelli with the Indonesian Tofu. We both enjoyed Indonesian egg covered in sambal. My recommendation is to ditch the oat cracker and serve shrimp chips :-). But that is all. If you go here and are a foodie order off the Indonesian menu and go beyond satay.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant with family during my Thanksgiving visit back home. The visit was wonderful. I'll be honest and say we went to Pho House first. Unfortunately we were met at that door with a very unpleasant aroma. So we searched for suitable alternative, I'm so glad we found Blue Basil Wine & Grill. The servers were courteous and the food...oh the food, was absolutely delicious. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and an Old Fashioned cocktail really warmed me up from the drop in temps outdoors. We had a great dinner!

George B.

Yelp
Had the chicken satay for lunch yesterday and it was fantastic. Wife had the pad Thai and it was really good as well. She had enough to have for dinner as well. Service was quick and excellent. Will definitely be going back.

Ambe C.

Yelp
In Louisiana this weekend and I took the opportunity to have an early birthday dinner with my family. I didn't want to go to the usual Louisiana fare restaurant so, I chose @blubasilwineandgrill. My great aunt (88) and grandma (98) were both a little skeptical trying something new but, they left no crumbs and thoroughly enjoyed their dinner.

Brennon B.

Yelp
The Pho was extremely off the chain !!!!! Highly recommended for anyone looking for the experience .

Marilyn H.

Yelp
I went for lunch on Friday; it wasn't busy, server was friendly. I got the Lo Mein lunch special - it was tasty. So far so good. The problem occurred when I paid my $10.83 bill with a twenty dollar bill and received $9. back. I asked my server where the 17 cents was that I was owed. She stated that they round up or down and I guess I was rounded down. I pointed out (nicely) that it was MY money. She stated they don't have coins at the restaurant. In retrospect, I probably should have asked for the manager, but I just left. I know , .17 isn't a lot, but it was my money to decide what to do with. Unfortunately, I left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Ryan E.

Yelp
Tommy was a great server, the kimchi fries gave me life, and the Vietnamese chicken rice was A-1 Will come back forsure

Dean W.

Yelp
This restaurant has some really great food! The best Curry we've eaten ANYWHERE outside of Thailand!! Highly recommend! Staff was clean and attentive. The music and noise levels were low...we could actually have a conversation! We'll return many times!

Katherine H.

Yelp
The food and drinks were great so went two days in a row! However second time we were rudely informed they were closing early day before hurricane (that didn't happen) we could not get another drink needed to leave! We will not return to this establishment because of this. Lots of places to eat and drink in Lafayette so bad service will lose customers!

Amy W.

Yelp
Do NOT waste your money. The spring rolls were inedible -- we did not even finish them. They were actually hard to eat, like rubber. The meat inside of them tasted like they washed it with dish water. There are better rolls in town, to say the least. Onto the Banh Mi Bites -- horrible. So because we were burning money on this anyway, we ordered one more app. for your wallets information, the fried egg-roll appetizer comes with two, TWO, very small rolls. not kidding, and they're not even great. They were also out of tofu and lo mein. I settled on the Pho, which I'd heard was good, and was underwhelmed by a flavorless broth that even hot sauce couldn't remedy. We will never be eating here again. Save your damn money and go somewhere worth a buck. Recommendations : Masala (better curry, wonderful atmosphere, service is off the CHARTS) Bangkok Thai : the best spring rolls in town, comfortable space to be in, GREAT food!

Thaise B.

Yelp
The service was great, food was delicious. We had the Kung Pao with shrimp.Good thing the server warned us about the spice. We got the medium. It was just right.

M W.

Yelp
I will give 3 to 3 1/2 to score this restaurant. The restaurant is nice looking. Big plenty of room for large gathering. Our waiter Evan was very attentive and king and helpful. The bulgagi wrap was excellent. Great taste, very appetizing to look at and tasted fabulous. The second order the beef ban mi roll was just ok. The taste is boring. Salty and not much more. The acidic flavor was missing. The 3- item pineapple fried rice was uninspiring. Presentation was pretty but that's it. I don't like to give just ok review but I will always be honest. Next!!!

Jessica R.

Yelp
This was our first time here and it won't be our last. We were so impressed with the service, appetizer and main course. Highly recommend the nachos appetizer they have so much flavor packed into them its ridiculous. The service was absolutely outstanding! The live music set the ambiance absolutely perfect Saturday night in Lafayette!

Brayden L.

Yelp
Place was nice, food and drinks were mediocre. The restaurant was understaffed and I feel as if that fed into the lack of customer rounding that we experienced. Their old fashioneds were poorly made; which is upsetting because the drink itself is not hard to make, and even harder to screw up. The bartender muddled the cherry and an orange slice (not the peel, an actual slice) which made the drink taste like medicine. I ordered a beef rice plate (forgot the name) medium rare and it was cooked medium and very tough. Dinner for two was overpriced for the portions. Overall, I think this place was underwhelming after looking at how highly rated it was.

Macie G.

Yelp
updated menu!! also now open on sunday! we had a great experience and look forward to coming back

Ashton R.

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing!! Service was very friendly had a very chill vibe! The banh mi bites are incredible and a MUST try!!!

Yelp
I'm Asian and grew up in cities heavily populated by Vietnamese communities. I think the service and ambiance is great. I think the food and drink selections are decent. In particular, I think the pho and Thai iced tea is worth ordering. Out side of that, I think the food lacks flavor. Today I tried the lo mien. The noodles arrived and I could already tell by the color (pale/white) that it was not flavored well (it should be closer to brown to reflect the flavoring). I mixed it and gave it a try and was disappointed. I hope they can improve on this recipe as I'd like more Asian restaurants here to remain strong.

Onyeka E.

Yelp
Great place, Amazing service and really cool for family. So I'm going to describe my entire plate : my grilled pork was well seasoned, properly spiced, almost too sweet for me and well cooked. I loved the salad in particular as it was unseasoned and balanced the sweetness that came from the grilled pork. The running eggs topping was great (properly cooked under without overcrusting the top) and my fried egg springrolls were wonderful. The rice alone tasted a bit bland but once eaten with the grilled pork, it had enough flavours to mask the bland taste. I'd say the star of the meal was the grilled pork and Lemonade !! Safe to say that I was not disappointed and I would be going there again.

Yelp
Recently dined for a late lunch. Lunch time ends at 2:00 (2:30??) and there is a special lunch menu which allows for ordering select smaller dinner entree at a lower price. Service here was polite and professional and prompt. Bathroom was clean and presentable. Order included egg rolls, pho and a curry chicken dish. All were tasty and flavorful so you know they were prepared well. Portion might be a little small but I also gotta remember we are in post pandemic times and people do not need to be ordering a lot of food ---bottom line I was happy and satisfied and recommend you trying this place should you be nearby.

Christian C.

Yelp
Food was fire, got a bunch of different things...everything on point. From Cali, was looking for a good Asian spot, did not disappoint.

Kaleb L.

Yelp
The food was freak and so were the drinks. The server we had was very attentive and made sure to check on us frequently. We went at the perfect time in my opinion. There wasn't many people which made it our food and drinks come out really quick. The atmosphere was great as well.

Peter N.

Yelp
Delicious modern Vietnamese fusion restaurant! Great service and great food! Favorite appetizers are kim chi fries, bulgogi beef nachos and calamari. Favorite entree is the grilled pork vermicelli noodles, Dang Ribeye and the delicious ahi tuna salad! Check @eatinglafayette on Instagram and Facebook for more Lafayette food things!

Stacey Kay H.

Yelp
I chose to try this place for the first time for my birthday this year and was super impressed! Our waiter recommended the Sriracha Kimchi fries which I wasn't sure about at first. It ended up being such a hit! Our other dishes were also really great, too, and there was enough for us to bring home for leftovers (which is definitely a bonus in my book!)

Maria L.

Yelp
Glad to have tried out this place while in Lafayette. Interior was beautiful, staff were very kind. Initially was sat in a corner where it was pretty warm. Our server happily re-sat us towards the central much cooler area of the restaurant. Menu covers were extremely sticky like it had been wiped with soda instead of water or cleaner. * Bulgogi beef nachos: 5/5 stars - of course when I spotted a Korean fusion dish on the happy hour list I had to try it! And so glad I did! I would 100% come back here for this small plate alone. You can never go wrong with a combination of sweet bulgogi meat, sweet imitation crab meat, buttery smooth avocado, sweet soy sauce, and spicy mayo- those flavors naturally blend together so well. Put those on top of a nacho and you have the perfect crunch to give it some texture. After only 5 nachos to a plate I was tempted to get a 2nd! - $5 happy hour! * Pineapple fried rice with shrimp: 4/5 stars - normally, I'd never get fried rice as my entree but it was frequently featured in reviews and seemed like it would be special in its cute pineapple "bowl". It waaaas super cute! Loved the fresh pineapple slices on the side. But! tasted pretty average level good. Wouldn't go for it again at $17. - tip: they leave a lot of edible parts of the pineapple as part of the "bowl" itself so if you're a pineapple lover, take your fork and stab & twist at it to get a ton of pineapple juice and bits out on to your fried rice. * Shaken Beef: 4/5 stars - decided to try this dish at a different place than my usual. The meat was holy moly soft!! SO tender, yum. How do they do that? Was definitely reaching over to hubby's plate more than mine lol. Other than the usual rice and side veggies it also had a small bowl of hot broth that was so soothing and warming. Overall loved it but it had a vinegar-y something mixed into the sauce which I would have loved it better without. * Pomegranate martini: - hubby said it was a "solid cocktail" but the ratio was definitely tipped more towards juice. Tip: happy hour M-Sat 2:30-6:30 with some drinks and few small bites. Get the bulgogi beef nachos!

Tonya H.

Yelp
Stopped in for HH and so glad I did! Nice selection of music and great HH prices and food! Lemon drop was tasty and then tried the cucumber jalapeno margarita ($5) on Tuesdays, and then had the nachos...OMG...awesomeness! Great customer service and great experience!

Christa S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great date night, or group dinner spot look no further. This place has a great atmosphere, service, and not to mention outstanding food. During happy hour certain cocktails in House Wine are five dollars! There are also several appetizers on the happy hour menu as well. During this visit, I was able to try the steak, that was on special for $20. Each Thursday is steak night and lamb night, you can get each of them for $20! The steak was delectable and I highly recommend trying it! It was cooked just right in the seasoning was perfect. I also tried the duck pasta. The duck had a great taste and the pasta sauce was pretty good. I don't know if I would recommend getting the duck pasta, but four out of five stars. I definitely would like to get back to try other things on the menu.

Sandra C.

Yelp
Service was Awsome , Thanks to Wyatt Food was delicious my first time here omg I definitely will come back I even got a Long Island it was very strong and delicious as well food was on point nice atmosphere as well

Jose A.

Yelp
Food taste ..good... nothing impressive Service. Poor...she was good until by her error she givebus eggrolls beside fry eggs. When I let her know she take the egg roll from our plates to bring them to the kitchen. Don't know if they throw away or they give thwm to others customers. Price is to high for the quantity they give ypu. They put a lot of green salad to make ypur plate look full. The ambiance its really cool and relaxing.

Nick M.

Yelp
Great place. Staff is friendly and the food and drinks are good. I had the pineapple fried rice, and I totally recommend it.

Gabrielle L.

Yelp
Food and service is always amazing. I recommend going during less busy times though, or making reservations if you plan to go during dinner on weekends.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Having some downtime before a meeting we went and thoroughly enjoyed the Banh Mi Bites and Ginger Scallops. We shared the meal between two ladies and it was plenty. Full of flavor and of great portions. We will definitely go again.

Angie T.

Yelp
A friend of mine kept telling me great things about Blu Basil but with the plethora of dining options in the area I kept putting it off. Once I made it in it was to pick up to go but I know I'll be dining in here soon because it is so stunning and intimate inside. It's in a bustling shopping center that is no stranger to outside traffic but when I stepped inside I was transported to a different world. There are waterfalls and little ponds all over and I just felt calm and zen in here, when just moments before I was using some pretty colorful language to describe someone who had cut me off in traffic. I ordered the Sriracha Kimchi Fries-french fries topped with bulgogi beef, kimichi, sriracha, spicy mayo and a sunny side up egg. I was nervous because I had never really tried such a dish but this was exactly what my friend recommended so I went out on a limb. This is an appetizer but enough to be easily shareable. It was spicy and delicious. All the different flavors together made for an unexpected but interesting meal. I loved this dish and will be ordering it again. I also got an order of the Summer Rolls (pork and shrimp) which I figured were a safe choice to fall back on in case I hated the aforementioned. I took one bite of them and was not a fan. The cilantro was overpowering everything else in the rolls and I felt like I had just taken a bite of soap. If you can stomach cilantro you might love these but I can't and didn't. I'll be back to Blu Basil for certain to try more of the menu. The pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple is on my radar for sure!

Stacy E.

Yelp
Service & Food was AWESOME! Atmosphere is cool & perfect for relaxing but also drinking with music & ambiance lighting!

E M.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was tasty. The Mongolian bbq is as good as I have ever eaten.

Vi P.

Yelp
Clean, quick, and friendly. They are a pricier than other places but it's definitely worth it the food taste fresh.

Aimee B.

Yelp
Bulgogi nachos. All you need to know. Never had a dish that wasn't great. Great service and specials, too!

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Cool fun atmosphere. Delicious Vietnamese food. I love the summer rolls with the warm grilled pork inside. Their pho is fragrant and perfectly filling. I love their vermicelli bowls - grilled lemongrass shrimp or pork are my go-to's. The avocado potstickers are a must-try as well. Lettuce wraps can easily make a meal for one. They have lunch portions and specials. They have great martinis as well!

Shawn D.

Yelp
Hands down some of the best non Cajun food in Lafayette! The Vietnamese rice plate lunch special is my personal favorite. The short ribs are also amazing. I go at least once a week. My only complaint is the portions sizes seem to be getting smaller and smaller but I guess everyone is having to deal with inflation somehow these days.

Gerald H.

Yelp
Great food, and atmosphere. Although the menu items are less, the quality is outstanding

Sera G.

Yelp
The BEST curry I have had in Lafayette! I got the chicken curry & added pineapple, phenomenal! Also, for those who like rice with their curry, the one serving that comes with the curry is enough ! 10/10 for Lafayette
