BLU Crabhouse & Raw Bar

We had such a wonderful time at Blue Crab House in Ocean City! The crab pots were fantastic, and having crab legs on the children’s menu was definitely a win for our family — the kids loved it! The food was so fresh and delicious, and the beautiful bayfront ambience made the whole experience even better. The staff was warm and attentive, and the service was excellent. A perfect spot for seafood lovers and families alike — we’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing dinner at Blu Crabhouse and even caught a gorgeous sunset while we were there. We ordered the Blue Crab Steamer Pot, the Snow Crab Legs Steamer Pot, and the Boom Boom Shrimp - everything was absolutely delicious! Madison was our server and she was fantastic - super friendly and attentive. We love this place! It’s our favorite seafood restaurant every time we visit Ocean City. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit and will be my last. We were in town for the bronco beach bash. There was a 40 min wait for a table. That was fine. But there was another 20 minute wait once we were seated. My husband n I ordered a shrimp steamer pot. It was steamed so much that the potatoes were like mashed. The clams were non existent. The shrimp were tough. The soup was tasty once I got it. Had to ask if soup was coming before our entrées. Barria(sp?) tacos were very dry. Meat overcooked. Shells cooked incorrectly. Wings were dry and tasteless. The only positive thing was our server. She apologized for being understaffed. But being understaffed is no excuse for poor quality food. I wouldn't have minded the wait if the food was good. So disappointing I was looking forward to trying Blu

I really wanted a lobster. Like the big one. And this place only has lobster tails, 1 lb, for 45 dollars. So instead, I got the crab cakes and corn and crab chowder soup. everything was flavorful and I ate as much as I could before leaving. but once I left and got in the car, within 10 minutes, I threw up everything. I'm thinking the soup was bad. maybe the heavy cream or something because my friend had the crab cake dish too and she didn't get sick at all. the decor was okay. I didn't like the fact they had actual cardboard on top of the table. I get they do boils, but they should only put those out if people order a boil.

I have never had crab this bad. our server was annoyed at us taking our time to order drinks (5mins after being seated) and when our food came out it was colder than being it was in the ocean, we got fried calamari and two “pounds” of crab legs, the calamari was good but when we asked for a different sauce we never received one. We received four small clusters of crab legs, definitely not two pounds, and they were so cold with barely any meat inside, i would’ve asked our server for a new meal but she never came back until the bill came, never check on us if we need anything or enjoyed the meal. No crackers provided for our crab legs or anything to help us actually eat our meal. To top it off our corn wasn’t even edible, it had a green tint and was MUSHY overall very disappointing dining experience would never recommend to my worst enemies. Good place to drink with a view but NEVER to eat EVER

The Blu Crab House was AMAZING!! Perfect for a nice summer dinner with the waters being right by the restaurant. The service was very nice and the food was amazing! I loved the selection of oysters as well as the food provided. The Poke Tuna Tacos were fantastic, very nice quality. The 4 cheese ravioli was delicious, complimented with a very nice, creamy sauce. Perfect for going out with your family, friends, and/or loved ones!

Great atmosphere with a sandy floor outdoor space! Food was very good, not over the top fancy. Highly reccommend the "boom boom shrimp". Service was good. Would come back.

Maddie W. was amazing!!! The kitchen and the bar was busy and our food took a while to come out but she made sure she informed us and kept coming back to check on us. She was amazing and friendly!!!

Our first night in Ocean City, MD Mon 6/02/25. Blu Crabhouse was recommended by Daniel at the Grand Hotel. Easy walk from the hotel. Very large place with a nice view & a good vibe. We sat at the upstairs bar. Our friendly server was Izzy S. We ordered drinks & looked over the menu. I started off with their oyster shooter - large raw oyster served w/ Old Bay rimmed short Bloody Mary w/ a 2oz vodka shooter($10). Bang! this is way to start our 19th honeymoon. My bride had chicken Caesar salad ($18) and I had the smoked fish appetizer w/ nacho chips as a meal ($14.) Very happy with our food. We had 2 beers & 2 wines. The total w/tip was $106., a good value in Ocean City, MD. Hours: every day 3-9pm. Happy Hour 3-6pm. They do have ample parking. Excellent first impression here. Highly recommended. just don't come here the server was at least nice. But the food is so bland and no seasoning. We literally didn't even want to eat the corn and we didn't finish the pots of seafood some of the crab don't seem that fresh, don't flake, and their sauces is so bad. We ordered old bay, and their angry sauce. TERRIBLE. Crab legs were small barely any meat, our final bill came up to $500 because we decided to go with 6 other people, and slapped $70 for automatic tip. We left hungry and upset.

So disappointing. Came here with a party of 4 and sat inside. 15 minutes later, still hadn't seen our server. When she finally came over, there was no acknowledgement of the wait. We ordered drinks and then waited. And waited some more. 20 more minutes and she comes back to let us know that one of the margaritas we ordered was not available. Still no drinks for any of us, not even water. We ended up asking for our check (once she finally brought over sodas we ordered) and left. I know it's a busy place, but the service was not it and the inside was depressing as hell. Cool

The crab cakes were good, but the portion was so small for the price . Some items came out cold, but the manager was very accommodating and quickly replaced them with hot ones. It seems the whole crabs are the most popular items so if you're into that, this may be the place for you.

My friends and I decided we wanted a cute restaurant and their parents recommend Blu Crabhouse. The ambiance was cute and we were directed to the other end of the restaurant to be seated on the rooftop by the water. It was beautiful especially watching the sunset. It was busy and our server did the best she could to be attentive during that time. We didn't have and utensils on our table. We started off with a salad and crab dip. The crab dip came with a warm soft pretzel and some hard crackers. The pretzel was delicious and we enjoyed that. We also ordered wine and a pitcher of sangria for the table. The entrees were 2 crab cake sandwiches with mashed potatoes and pasta. Everyone loved their meal, but the pasta was absolutely delicious!! I would happily return to this restaurant the next time I return to ocean city for the weekend.

We stopped over to Blu for a lunch date, as it was walking distance from our condo. The server was incredibly nice. She went as far as to ask the chef if it would be possible to have the seafood soup, as this is typically only a dinner offering. The food was yummy. We ordered appetizers to share- crab dip and calamari. The drink was good- much larger than expected and more expensive than anticipated.

Soo we went here because there was a coupon. Smh... the wait wasn't too long and the outside ambiance was cool. The waiter, Keith, was so nice and proper. He warned us too

The food was absolutely disgusting. And I love raw seafood with no seasoning, but the pasta meal I got had scallops, shrimp and crap meat and it tasted old and like they only used thyme to season everything and only thyme. I also ordered the fried calamari and it tasted like fried chicken pieces. Which wasn't bad but was weird because I was expecting calamari. They should've used some of the seasoning from the batter on the pasta meal. Plus I paid $60 for just me, for a really gross meal. And the service was slow and rude. The man who rang me out was on the phone while 3 other workers just watched me and didn't ring me out, only until that man was done talking on the phone did he ring me out. I was the only one there to pick up and there were only two other families eating there.

Absolute 5 stars! All the food was phenomenal- we recommend the oysters, their steam pots, and the seafood pasta. Sit outside if you can!

Was hankering for some seafood and BLU hit the spot. We got a seafood tower it was good. The boil I got was delicious! Service was good and their orange crush was very good! Sat outside in the sand which was nice, but my chair kept sinking into the ground so I looked like a little kid sitting at the adults table

We had a party of 5 Dylan was our server he was friendly and attentive! We all enjoyed our dinners and appetizers! Great seating lots of outdoor space with harbor bay views! Only real mis giving was the price of drinks should be explained when ordering the large Bucket sized drinks which are oversized but much more expensive than what we expected. The price should be explained at the time of ordering especially when servers are encouraging the oversized as a better deal. Especially when the cost is 2-3 X the cost of the normal sized drink.

We were seated almost right away on a Friday night, which was awesome. Our food came out very quick, which was also awesome. However the crabs and crab legs were cold. We had the all you can eat meals--the second helping of crab legs arrived hot, but about 15 mins after I asked for them. The crabs were even longer, maybe 25 mins. By the time we got the second round, the butter was cold. Not worth the price. We always ate here every time we were in OCMD; we won't be eating here again.

Happy Hour is 50% off for food at the bar anything with the crab icon next it and 20% off on the regular menu during Happy Hour as long as the crab icon is next to it. The food is actually good too. Been coming here for a couple of years now whenever I'm in Ocean City and so far I've had the Old Bay Chicken Wings they were crispy and tasty. The Loaded Fries were good and large enough for two people. The Pork Tacos weren't bad but I probably should've ordered the Shrimp Tacos I only didn't because I also had the Boom Boom Shrimp which were my favorite. The bartenders are awesome and the vibe is nice. Good spot to watch sports and meet some nice people.

The view was really nice. Service was good ! Wish they had a simpler boil option but it was still yummy. Didnt like that I had to shuck my own side of corn but the corn was delicious nonetheless.

Long waits, server was not friendly, if you want seafood don't come here. They serve tiny crab legs and previously frozen shrimp. Looks like they got it from Giant Food grocery store.z. Worst seafood restaurant I've ever been to! Don't waste your time or money!

Food was excellent. Service was good as well. Only issue I can report is they have an ant problem. The walls were crawling with ants the whole time and occasionally venturing to our table that was up against a wall. Price was a bit high, but that's kinda the norm at the beach at about $300 for a table of 5.

We came for an evening dinner with one teen and one kiddo. Sat on the upper terrace which was lovely with a view of the water and sunset. Be warned it's def hot in summer (duh) bc they don't have umbrellas up there. Not enough to deter us. Ordered crab dip, seafood pasta, kids crab legs and crab cake. Food came out relatively quick. However a mix up in the kitchen delayed our app and the manager was QUICK to deliver it, apologize, and take it off the ticket which was generous. Seafood pasta was delicious, full of fresh huge scallops and shrimp with a delicious warm spiced cream sauce. Love love love it. Crab cake was big, more crab than breading. Could have used a touch more on the cook but delicious flavor profile. Crab claws were cooked correctly and the kids meal was a perfect size for the kiddo. I am return customer and will definitely be back again as I'm picky about seafood and flavors and felt they really met great food with warm atmosphere.

Ate at Blu tonight. We were looking forward to getting outside of our usual 5 block radius of restaurants. IT WAS AWFUL. Our server was kind and tried to help, but the AYCE crabs were horrendous (overcooked, sour, etc), my meal came 30 minutes after everyone else's. Couldn't get timely refills of the crab sides. Just awful. I tried to talk to the manager who gave me a drink but refused to comp my meal. Just terrible. I spent years working in the restaurant world and this isn't how you treat guests. Blame WMO or just don't go. And I never write reviews like this. For such an expensive meal, I give it zero stars. Don't go. #BluOcMD

Our waitress was amazing, the sunset view was spectacular. Visiting on a Monday, in my opinion, they close at 930 is early for a dinner spot. We got there at 730 and were seated close to 8. Just seemed rushed but no fault of theirs as they clearly state the hours. You could tell they were cleaning for the night to end. It's a great place to eat before 8pm. Food seemed average to me.

Not sure where to even begin... maybe with the flies doing laps in my blackberry iced tea? Or the hour-long wait for a kid's cheeseburger? Honestly, the only thing that kept us from walking out was our amazing server, Brian--give that man a raise and a less chaotic kitchen. The crab boil showed up bone-dry (who steals the liquid from a crab boil?!), and the fried rockfish sandwich started strong... but ended in a sprint to the nearest restroom. Let's just say it made a lasting impression. In short: Blu had the vibes, the location, and Brian--but that's about it. Next time, we'll go where the seafood doesn't fight back.

Blu is my favorite restaurant in OCMD! We had a group of 10 on a Friday night, and they were so friendly and accommodating! There is a ton of seating so our wait was pretty quick. Fun fact - any drink can be made into a bucket! We enjoyed the Bloody Mary and spicy margarita. The food was also served quickly, and everything was so fresh. My friends loved their crab buckets, and I had the best poke tacos.

Came for the AYCE Crabs. It was market price, which was $60 pp. Don't waste time with the corn or cheddar biscuits that it came with! Our server, Kay, was phenomenal and the sweetest! We didn't account for time and came 45 minutes before closing. We started off with 4 crabs each (which took an hour) and at 9:15pm the server asked if we want another round. Ofc we said yes, and I asked her what time they close. And she said 9:15, but she can't stop serving until the patrons leave. There were still about 5 tables left in the restaurant. So we put in another round of crabs and they brought out 10 crabs to share between 2 people. They give you a bucket for your waste and a roll of paper towels. We went to town with the crabs. They were seasoned with old bay seasoning and the side of butter (in the container) was an added flavor! Thank you Kay!

Overpriced for lackluster quality. The crab sandwich was straight up not good. If you get the pot they give you an overwhelming amount of mussels instead of the good stuff. Better options in the area. Also what are these kids drinks loaded with artificial colors and insane amounts of sugar.

Don't go there for crabs the ambiance was great service was ok drinks are outstanding. Crabs in a all you can eat came out way over cooked the steamed shrimp the same way rubber and tuff. Just not a place for crab

This place used to be my secret spot until it blew up lol! Really good but it's gone downhill. It's really expensive now and getting a table for happy hour in the summer is almost impossible. The service is great, except the bartenders kinda ignore you. The ahi tuna tacos are so good!

Small portions, chips had to be from yesterday and way over priced. Not sure why there wasn't any indoor seating. Big mistake stopping there! Happy hour was only if you were seated at the bar. I thought that's why you would tip your waiter for bringing your drink. Don't be frustrated, go somewhere else.

Always stop by here for dinner when I'm in ocean city with the family. The food, service, & vibe is always good.

Atmosphere (outdoors) is fabulous, especially in the evening at sunset. Food is fantastic ! Service (Genna) was unbelievable !! Plenty of parking and nice entertainment too. Definitely a must !!

Decided to come here while in town for the weekend. It was super packed and pouring down raining outside. There was a long wait but luckily we were able to grab 2 seats at the bar. My boyfriend got the fried green tomato appetizers & I got the calamari which is my favorite!! The tomatoes came with scallops and bacon on top which was super yummy!! The calamari was super tender and not chewy like lots of places. They also were seasoned very well, didn't even need any sauce but if it came with the boom boom sauce that would make it even more delicious lol. We split this spicy seafood pasta which was really good too. Super fresh seafood, definitely recommend this place!!

Service was so horrible waited and hour to be seat no called us, sat us at any table it was filthy. Waited an hour on kids Mac and cheese server didn't even come to the table but to only bring drinks. So we drunk water for an hour! Other table that was seated mins after us received food within 25 mins. Kelis was terrible hostess in the front were very wild animal like. Didn't even look old enough to be working in the establishments. I do not recommend going here. So I left because my kids were hungry with no food!!!

Food/Drink, 5/5: BOMB.COM! We didn't even get crabs, but everything on the menu looked good! We got all appetizers and even those were good! If you like shrimp, the boom boom shrimp in the way to go! And the crab dip... chef's kiss! Pricing, 4/5: I would say it's worth the price! You get a decent amount of food for what you're paying for. Service, 4/5: Our waiter was great! He was nice and gave good recommendations! The only downside was when we were waiting outside, didn't realize that there were 2 entrances and it took a host a little while to get to us when we were outside. Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 4.5/5: This is a nice place to eat rain or shine! The outdoor area is a relaxed area and the indoor area is spacious! If you have a large group this would be a great place to go! Overall Experience, 4.5/5: I'll definitely be back! Everything as a whole was great!

I am beyond happy that I've tried the food here - my babe made a great decision and introducing me to this place We went twice and each time the food was success! They unlimited all you can eat crabs (prices aren't listed) and their crab cakes are pure perfections. Would return over and over again

I wanted to give Blu four stars due to the beautiful view of the bay and the attentive staff but, I just couldn't due to the food experience. I ordered steamed shrimp for an appetizer and the scallop risotto for my entree. The shrimp was over cooked and difficult to peel. I was disappointed and surprised because I was at the beach! The scallops were overcooked and rubbery and the risotto was under. But....the view was lovely and the waitstaff, excellent.

I've been coming here for a few years and it is consistently gone downhill. I literally just walked out from the outside bar and left. Bar service is horrible. It was not crowded and there were four people at the bar, which is a nice size. The outdoor restaurant was also not too crowded. The 2 bartenders. both noticed me as I sat at the bar. They paid no attention to us. This will be taken off the list of Bayside bars/restaurants that I will return to. Thanks.

Food was excellent, waiter was friendly and funny, drinks were amazing! over all a great experience! Also not pictured- boom boom shrimp - was great Drinks - mango margarita, pineapple upside down drink, Kentucky mule - all very good! Be careful with the seating, chairs were in sand they sink when you sit down. But the weather was cool and felt amazing sitting outside.

Been here a few times and I love their food and drinks so I decided to come here for my birthday celebration since I was in town. The service is always good and the ambiance is very nice, especially since the rear is surrounded by water and the sunsets are gorgeous from the balcony. I always get the seafood pasta, which has shrimp, crab shunks, and scallops over pasta in a white cream sauce. You can also get it in a red sauce, but I like the white cream sauce better. My favorite drink is the Drunken Banana which for the first time I got in a large which came in a small bucket.... yes...a bucket lol. Overall a must try!

Great spot for food and drinks. Will definitely come back. The seafood pots are outrageously good.

overall the food was good. However the menu is written poorly and the actual items were not at all as written. Poke bowl had no lettuce or dressing and was rice based... not good for a low carb diet!! entrees were listed to have 2 sides. Not the case for most of the entrees listed.

This year was our second year in a row eating here while visiting OC. We arrived around 5:30-6pm, and shockingly enough, the two of us were seated right away. Our server, Billy (or Bobby, I can't remember - sorry LOL), was very friendly and hospitable. Our food was AMAZING. We started with the crab dip and it was so tasty, we devoured most of it. It comes with chips and a loaf of pretzel bread, and you also have the option of buying extra bread - would recommend! The bread was so good. I got the seafood pasta, which was amazing; however, it was basically cold by the time it got to our table. I'm not knocking the rating because of this - it happens sometimes. My boyfriend got the crab cakes and a side of crab legs. We ended up taking a good portion of our food back to the hotel with us. The seafood pasta was a huge and had a very good amount of seafood in it - 3 large scallops, shrimp, and crabmeat. Plus a couple of pieces of garlic bread, which I really enjoyed. Blu has easily become one of our favorite restaurants in OC. We will certainly be returning in the future!

Worst crab legs I ever had! Me and my wife went to celebrate our 37th anniversary. I had the all you can eat crab legs and my wife had steamed shrimp. The food came out cold, the crab meat stuck to the inside of the shell because it was so dry there was no moisture left to it and my wife's shrimp were cold and a rubbery and overcooked. I had the all you can eat and I only had one serving that will tell you a lot. Will not return!

Went to dinner with two colleagues. They got snow crabs and crab dip and said it was the best meal they'd had in Ocean City. The oysters (Wellfleet shown below but there were other options) and scallop risotto was delicious!) inside was clean and they had live music
