Food was excellent. Large portions. Can share salads and French fry order… It had been busy, but it was real dirty. Service was very, very slow and kinda-strangely awkward, but friendly. All and all good was great and worth the wait. Location was a plus too. Nice for a drink outside under the umbrella too👍🏼

I had the best experience! The burger sliders, pasta with shrimp, and salad was one of the best I ever tasted! The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff was absolutely amazing! Definitely a great place to hang out with friends!

Brunch was great, my brunch bowl was delightful. The person I was with wasn't as impressed with their food but we still enjoyed our time there. Service was great, atmosphere was great and we had a good time. Definitely will be back!

First time eating here and honestly the food was alright. Sweet potato fries were good. Burgers were not well done they were medium well. Fish was good. Not sure if I would run back but it was busy inside while I was picking up so maybe everyone else's food was good🤷‍♀️

Great service (thanks Priscilla)! Great beer selection and more food than I could eat. Totally recommend!

Great hamburgers! Service could be better s could worker safety. Two waitresses opted on the same wet spot while we were visiting.

There was no wait on a weekend to be seated. The food and drink were amazing! Our waiter charged us for the wrong item on our receipt. Be sure to check yours!

This could have been a 4.5 star review. However, service was very slow and the server forgot several things at times. We came here for lunch on a weekday. It was quite bustling. I loved the decor and ambience for sure. We got the Meat of the day burger with sweet potato fries, the ghost rider with tots and the blue cheese cake milkshake. The food overall was very good. The meat was bison. That burger was all about highlighting the meat, so simple with greens, tomatoes, cheese. My brother got the bacon cheddar bun instead of the regular one. I found the taste of it all decent. It was a little plain for my liking. The ghost rider was awesome! The party was more like minced meat put together but falling apart a little (I liked that). The well-done was just the side of well-done I like. It came with jalapeno peppers, a ghost pepper sauce of some sort, greens, spinach and the bun had some jalapeno and cheese on top. It was flavorful, tasty, spicy and VERY filling. I didn't finish about half of it. The sweet potato fries were good but lost flavor in the evening. The tots were a little harder than I normally like but decent. The milkshake was definitely YUMMY! Lots of blue cheesecake, sweet and quite heavy. Came in a mason jar, which I loved. Would've liked a wider straw as the cheesecake crumbles kept getting stuck in the thin straw. Definitely on the expensive side as for our three items and a diet coke, we ended up paying $60. Guess I'm still hanging on to prices from a few years ago when I lived here.

Yelp
Stopped by for some drinks and had a great time! I got the lavender haze (for the Taylor Swift reference) and loved it! It was gin, lemonade, and berries and very refreshing and balanced. Service was super friendly and the bartender would check up on us regularly. Definitely will come back and try their food options as well.

Yelp
This is starting to be a go to spot after a show downtown. Drinks are good. Menu is varied enough. Shakes are delicious. The corkscrew potato wedges are my favorite on the planet.

Matthew P.

Yelp
There was a dead cockroach in between the appetizer plates we were served. Server didn't send a manager over?!? Our poached eggs were WAY over done as well as the pirogies. Will not eat here again EVER!

Mike C.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Saturday evening for four-though it didn't look busy from the outside, the inside told a different tale. We arrived a few minutes early, so had to wait a couple of minutes, but we were seated at a booth within a reasonable timeframe, still earlier than our reservations. Good, mixed crowd, vibrant .... Crystal was our waitress and she did a great job, especially considering how busy they were. We ordered a couple of pizzas (margarita was better than pepperoni) mac and cheese, and a couple of burgers. All was good, and I'd argue that the burgers were the best out of all we ordered-they were really good. Would definitely return in the future.

Yelp
Met a friend for dinner after work last week, it was close to Stever's. Hostess seated us right away, waitress was really nice, took our food and drink orders, quickly and accurately. I had a burger while my friend had a salad, we both enjoyed our meals, fresh, hot & delicious! The French fries are spirals(?) super thick and super delicious, could eat those for hours. Price was fair for 2, definitely going to be back when in Park Ave area, thanks for the good meal.

Richard K.

Yelp
A classic modern American bistro, in an upscale and bustling setting, in the heart of trendy Park Avenue. Well stocked and vibrant bar, great selection of beer and wine, and plenty of pub options to please everyone. Service and food are superb. This place just reeks of fun.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The food was hot, delicious, and served in a timely manner. Service was friendly and efficient. It was a busy Saturday morning brunch time, the tables were full and patrons seemed like everyone was enjoying the food and atmosphere.

Darby L.

Yelp
What a fun place to have lunch! Food was so good, service was quick, and they didn't try to rush us off when we were finished! The new hostess is energetic and deserves a raise!

Britt K.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The food, service, and ambiance is always perfect. Andy has the best energy, customer service, and kindness. The fries are the best. We also love the sliders and margaritas.

pantea T.

Yelp
Good place for gatherings! Usually play the games on TV. The food is not bad but not amazing. The brunch is usually fine. The location is good!

Megs R.

Yelp
We loved it here!!! Andy was amazing! The food was great and we will back!!! The service was wonderful and we loved watching college football!

Madison W.

Yelp
I love it here! the staff is always amazing and so is the food. always a good vibe. Kevin is the best

Johntel B.

Yelp
Great lunch! Loved the burger and service. Enjoyed the apple and pearl ciders.

Courtney M.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but I didn't have the best experience. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the "wild game" burger which happened to be "elk". I'm sure it was mostly beef mixed in because it tasted like a normal burger but was $23!!! What robbery! I also thought maybe they would top it with different toppings since they had a bunch of different style burgers - NOPE just lettuce, tomato and onion... oh and a hair! Our waitress did get a new one made pretty quickly. I found another small hair on the fries so was super turned off! She also offered a second alcohol beverage "on them" because of the hair. It ended up being on the bill anyways. I just wanted to get out of there so didn't even mention it.

Michele M.

Yelp
I was trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt cause I could tell they were short staffed but everything was just off. From the food to the service. They were out of several items on the menu and the service was subpar. Never once did they ask us how our food was. By the time we ordered drinks we were done with our food. Just was kinda disappointed. The menu said crispy Brussels clearly they aren't. Just wasn't impressed sorry

Roshan R.

Yelp
Dropped in for a couple of beers on a Friday evening. The outdoor seating was packed by 5:30 pm. Though I didn't eat anything as I had other plans for the evening, the dishes on the other tables looked delicious. The menu seems pricey but the quantity is good! The ambience is great and staff friendly. I did see this place get crowded on other Friday nights when I walked by.

Anita B.

Yelp
The service has always been great when I have visited. To date, I have gone about 5 times. I have gotten burgers and the different Mac and cheeses and enjoyed all of them.

Mark B.

Yelp
I got the Park Ave Hamburger was disgusting , t hey used old shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato which I sent back . The lecture was at least 3 days old. Then they made a néw hamburger for me. Why is the world would anyone make a hamburger with lettuce and tomato on bottom bun first and then put the hamburger on top of that??? I fell Like I was eating a taco with any hour sauce sauce or Mexican flavor. blue Wolf is really taking advantage of the prestigious neighborhood to draw businesses. This joint would fail elsewhere.

Mikayla H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Rochester to go when I'm craving a good burger! Its always great for a date night spot! I absolutely recommend the dirty mac they have it is positively addicting!! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items!

Jenn P.

Yelp
Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta $20 3/5 The BLU bowl $25 4/5 I visited this spot twice last summer, and I experienced both indoor and outdoor seating options! The first visit was for a birthday celebration. We were seated indoors, where booth and bar seating were available. There are also sports games and music playing. The ambiance was lively, with sports games and music playing. On the second visit, we were seated outside. Regardless of the seating choice, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly. I would have rated this place higher, but the food tasted bland each time. However, the BLU bowl was a good choice! It was shared by four people, but I would recommend it for 2-3 individuals. It tasted sweet, and the alcohol taste was not too strong Check out my insta for more NYC and ROC spots @postedforu.

Yelp
Parking lot- you can park on side parking spots or park jn CVS area. Either way can work for everyone. We came for lunch and a lot of tables were empty. We ordered garlic pickled pizza and it was very good! I like the way how they brushed the garlic flavor on the pizza. Perfect balance! The calamari was very good and I'm surprised how crispy it was!!! I give a big thumb for this too!! Waitress was very friendly and nice. I appreciate them for being patience with us when we communicate with them by writing or point on a dish on the menu. Thank you for an amazing experience!!!

Gerald S.

Yelp
First time here. Had the Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta,Awesome! Service was good prices are reasonable. They had several seasonal beers on tap too. Downtown, old town feel.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
Brunch is just WOW! Everything we ordered was amazing from the Captain Crunch French Toast to the Breakfast Bowls! We had the one with the periogies...Yum! Our server Crystal was amazing!! She gave great recommendations and was just such a pleasure! Place has a cool vibe as well!

Halie G.

Yelp
kevin is the best, we come and see him ever week, never disappoints! food and service is always amazing.

Yelp
Great lunchtime spot, Kevin is an amazing bartender and server. Whatever the occasion, you won't be disappointed by BluWolf!

Yelp
Visiting area and are dependent on reviews and suggestions. So far 0/2. General review, Blu Wolf has the blandest food on the planet. We got the blu wolf breakfast with eggs, home fries, bacon and toast. Not one item had any flavor whatsoever. I mean nothing. I don't even think the eggs were real eggs more like the powdered eggs (see photos, they were crumbly). The toast had no butter and there was no jelly. My husband's order was completely wrong but he's too nice to say anything. Then again we never saw our server. The home fries aren't really potatoes, I know they came frozen in a bag and reheated in an oven, which is fine but throw on some salt, paprika, onion or garlic. I tried dousing it in ket hup for flavor, still wasn't enough. We ended up leaving most of it. I ate my bacon, because ... bacon. It was crispy. Service was slow and non-attentive. I got one refill on my $4 coffee when we finally saw our server to get the check. No one ever asked if we needed anything or if anything tasted good. Yes it was Saturday but early afternoon and the brunch crowd was gone. Finally, for what it is, it was overpriced. No thanks.

Yelp
This is a nice gastropub. We shared an order of wings medium they came with blue cheese and celery- I give them a 10. I had a burger topped with bbq sauce pulled pork and onion straws it was hard to fit in my mouth it was so large! There was a drip from the ceiling onto me during dinner that was annoying. Service was spot on.

Myles w.

Yelp
Definitly a bar focused bistro. Kitchen was incredibly slow, food was greasy and the milkshake we had was underwhelming. Good selection on tap

Sema T.

Yelp
Delicious brunch and friendly staff. We used to stop by for dinner often when we lived nearby, but today we were looking for a distanced opportunity to have brunch (that someone else made...). I hadn't realized Blu Wolf had brunch options. After asking way too many questions about the menu, we wound up with breakfast tacos and the lawful waffle. Both excellent, and paired well with our BOGO bloody and mimosa. Now...if I could just convince them to add cheese to their Bloody Mary toothpick, and to add a beer chaser....

Jessica R.

Yelp
We were able to snag a table here for brunch on a busy Mother's Day Sunday. The street was packed so we were shocked we were able to get a table right away but the place filled up fast after us. I loved how unique the menu was and would love to come back to try some other items. We all loved our food. Our server was helpful in suggesting his favorites which we ended up going with and they were all super tasty.

Mel N.

Yelp
My daughter describes this as a great place to find something good to eat day or night and she is right!

K T.

Yelp
Great stuff. Excellent food. The place has a really nice outdoor dining area. Love it there.

Jesse D.

Yelp
Good atmosphere, nice waiters, and good food. You can also watch sports here if it's not crazy busy.

Lea H.

Yelp
Brunch Date. No reservations for less than 6 people. So you take your chances on whether there is a wait or not. We got a table right away. Mimosas and Bloody Mary's are 2 for 1 during weekend brunch. Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered a brunch dish which the waitress pointed out came with BBQ sauce (not on the menu). I was able to get that on the side. The bathroom was clean but could use an update. The toilet was hard to flush. Parking is street parking so you will be searching for parking as it's Park Ave.

Jim S.

Yelp
We (a group of 8) had lunchtime get -together today @ Blu Wolf. We originally planned to enjoy summer day and dine outside. However, they suggested we eat inside bc bees were disrupting other diners outside. So we took their recommendation. Our server (Victoria) was very pleasant, helpful & accommodating. Everyone was pleased with the various options on the menu and enjoyed their meal. She had no problem with handling separate checks (8), and handled that operation smoothly, as well as post lunch boxes to go. We were able to enjoy our time together and chat with each other without being rushed. I would definitely recommend the Blu Wolf for those considering lunch on Park Ave.

Kathleen B.

Yelp
It is in a great location and have indoor and outdoor seating. The waitress was friendly and got us drink menus to look over. So many great options to choose from and a large specialty beer list. They had a smaller menu but many great choices it was hard to narrow it down. We started with the pretzel fondue. We got the blacken chicken bacon Caesar which was huge and the chicken has a nice spicy kick to it. The lawful waffle was a huge burger and their fries were delicious and crispy. the pulled pork grilled cheese was piled high with cheesy goodness. We were so full we couldn't try the milkshakes. We are planning to go back just for them. The price was spot on with how large the meals were.

Rene V.

Yelp
So there is a lot to unpack here so I'll try to categorize each portion of my brunch. Wait time was 25 min. Actually less than I'd expect at a brunch rush. Easily can go walk on Park Ave while you wait. Conveniently, you're able to get a text message to advise that your table is ready. Service was great handling the demand from the brunch rush. Our server was friendly and you can tell he tried to make sure all the tables were taken care of. Chicken and Waffles entree was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and very moist on the inside. However, seasoning was non-existent. It really needed salt and possibly a slight kick to give a depth of complex flavors which would have played well with the sweetness of the maple syrup. The gravy tasted like turkey gravy; groundbreaking. I think it should have been omitted. To add a possible spin to play sweet with the spice, a Thanksgiving chicken and waffles would have been great adding cranberry sauce and the savory gravy; making it a playful sweet and savory dish. The waffle was well, a waffle. It is a blank palate that can take on any flavor you add to it. Unfortunately, the waffle was on the same level of no flavor as everything else. Vegetarians and vegans, pay attention here... The burger and fries with the meat substituted with a quinoa patty tasted like toasted quinoa with zero thought to what flavor it should be. If it had roasted garlic or even some roasted red peppers, that would have elevated the flavor. With meat substitutes, seasoning is essential. Missed opportunity is more like it. A note about the interior is that it comes across as part sports bar, part bistro. Didn't help that some random guy started doing push-ups on the floor near the bar. Possibly a beta male mating ritual. I don't even know. Overall, I can't see myself coming back here for food. Can maybe give them an opportunity to redeem themselves with drinks some evening but I'll need time to forget the void of flavor. If you can't taste due to Covid or think salt is spicy, then you'll be fine eating here. A new chef or a new menu might be needed if this experience is typical of this venue. Please know, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Surprisingly not as loud as you'd expect from brunch, which was refreshing.

Heather T.

Yelp
The food was horrible. I order the chicken caprese grilled cheese and the bread a was soggy and the chicken was so tough I couldn't eat it. My son ordered the Belgium waffle with strawberries. They slice what looked like one strawberry that was old an and shriveled up on the waffle. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers they were tough and hard to eat. I do not recommend this place the food was inedible.

Adrienne S.

Yelp
Went here recently and thought it was pretty good! They had some okay drinks and very interesting burgers. I played it pretty safe and ordered their green thumb burger which is essentially their veggie burger. It was actually one of the better veggie burgers I've had, but it didn't stay together well. Some of the other notable burgers was their game of the day burger (that night was ostrich) and the Chester which is a burger deep fried and covered in Cheetos. The person I went with ordered that and said it was weird but not bad. The place had a great atmosphere and overall, it was a good experience!

Aaron R.

Yelp
Great music. Jukebox with TouchTunes. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. Priscilla at the bar went out of her way to make my experience at Blu Wolf top notch.

Paige B.

Yelp
My boyfriend & I had to get back home because of the weather but if we had time we would've asked for the manager to make sure our server was properly recognized. Andy was hands down one of the best servers we've had since we could remember. Extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu as well. I had ordered a sunny d seltzer, and he remembered that when the bartender accidentally made an extra drink (the sangria). He immediately came over to us and said i thought you might like this because you had ordered the sunny d, and the sangria was one of the best drinks I've ever had it was so good. Super grateful good people are still out there. Overall he had a great vibe and was super kind! Thank you again, from both my boyfriend and I

Alex F.

Yelp
Has a very nice, casual atmosphere. We ordered Mac Daddy Burgers medium/medium well. My burger was too pink for my liking and the cheese sauce tasted cheap. I would recommend more Mac n cheese and less added cheese sauce. The sweet potato fries were wonderful. Overall, I would suggest this place for its atmosphere and good service, but I would pick a different burger next time.

Sal P.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here. Beautiful sunny day. Outside seating for two. Had the caprese sandwich and a side salad and grabbed a big ole fry from my coworker. Sandwich was on point. Juicy not dry, lots of flavor. Not too much cheese. Delish. A great hose mixed greens salad and always like when they bring oil and vinegar rather than forcing a house made salad dressing. Great day, great lunch, great service. I'll be back!

Danielle S.

Yelp
I've been to Blu Wolf Bistro a few times, but went for a late lunch recently and had a pretty good experience. The food was much better than in past visits, and being able to sit outside in the nice weather was great. I ordered the poutine tots for an app and they were delicious. The gravy was pretty salty, but I didn't mind. The tots were perfectly crispy and there were tons of cheese curds melted in. It also had crispy onion strings and scallions. I originally ordered pork bulgogi tacos for my entree, but our server came back to tell me the menu was out of date and they actually didn't have those anymore. So I got the chicken and waffles instead. When my entree came, they were out of gravy, but I actually prefer maple syrup so I got that instead. They were also out of the beer my brother ordered, so that's three things that we had to change throughout the meal. It wasn't a huge deal, but also not the first time I've been here and they've run out of things. Seems to be a continual problem. Our server was attentive and friendly, but the kitchen was slow. People who arrived after us got their orders before us, which I know sometimes happens depending on what is ordered, but it was just a burger and chicken and waffles. Nothing too complicated. Luckily we weren't in a hurry, but I was still a little annoyed by the wait. Overall the food was good which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3, but hopefully they can work on not running out of ingredients and food in the future.

Molly R.

Yelp
The restaurant is spacious for Park Ave and has plenty of outdoor seating. The severs are pretty good as well as the food. The food is pretty pricey for what you're getting. The breakfast bowls are unique and tasty.

Tom S.

Yelp
Been here several times in the past and the food has always been very good. The service has been good or even great at times. The family enjoys coming in from the suburbs to experience all that the Park Ave area has to offer. So that made the Blu Wolf a popular choice for Father's Day late lunch. We rolled up to the front door at 2pm to see a hand written sign "closing at 3pm" which seemed odd since the on line hours said they were open until midnight. After standing there for about 5 minutes, someone from the kitchen crew rolled out and said they were closed. No reason was given just "closed". I know it is hard to find reliable help but this is unacceptable. Leadership needs a plan B for when employees call in. The 6 of us ended up going back to Fairport and spending $300+ on a nice lunch and drinks at Tin Cup which was very nice. May go back to BW but not anytime soon. Too bad because we really liked it there Would suggest you call before heading down to make sure they are open..the online hours apparently don't apply hours on line said open from 9am to

Scott W.

Yelp
We enjoyed dinner on the sidewalk at Blu Wolf Bistro on Park Ave. My son had a Mac Daddy Burger with cheese sauce and a deep fried mac and cheese patty, huge spiral fries, and a cereal milkshake. Steak Caesar for me. This would easily have been a five star review on the delicious food alone, but our server was horrible. He never came back after taking our order. He didn't bring our drinks. The appetizer and entrees came together. We asked the person who brought our food to get the server so we could get our drinks -- but he never came. Finally we got another server to do it. It was only when we asked another server to get us the check that our assigned server came out. We will probably try again, though if we get the same server will ask for another.

Shelby S.

Yelp
I had a wonderful meal at the Blu Wolf Bistro with my friend and her boyfriend. To start, we all shared the blue bowl shared cocktail which was absolutely delicious. The pretzel fondue wasn't quite fondue. It was a typical puffy pretzel stick appetizer with a kind of watery cheese sauce. Rather than the cheese sauce being the standout, it was the honey mustard that was absolutely delicious. Even after we finished the pretzel sticks, I kept eating the honey mustard with other parts of my meal. Additionally, the service was great and we got all of these items quite promptly. For our entrees, I got a burger and my friend got the chicken and waffles. The burger was pretty much an average burger--good quality but nothing particularly special, fresh, or of an outstanding quality. My friend really enjoyed her chicken and waffles topped with a fried egg. Overall, the food quality was quite good, the menu options were fun, and the outdoor seating had a great vibe. It was a really enjoyable meal.
