Blue Marine Bay is hands down one of the most beautiful and peaceful coastal spots in Mauritius. The shoreline here is absolutely stunning clear turquoise waters, gentle waves, and a calm, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing or exploring the sea. What really makes this spot special is the snorkeling. You can easily rent a boat to take you near the corals and beautiful spots with colorful varieties of Fish. The waters are incredibly clear, making it easy to see the vibrant marine life just below the surface. From colorful coral to schools of tropical fish, every swim feels like stepping into a natural aquarium. You don’t even have to go far from shore just a few meters in, and you’re surrounded by beauty. Just one advice check the weather before you plan to visit the marine as more calmer the waves more clearer the marine life.

It’s a secluded island we visited on a day trip to L’ile des Deux Coco. The perfect sunny weather during September month with beautiful views, blue waters and snorkelling to see the beautiful marine underwater. We were also treated with a scrumptious buffet which included various meat, veg and seafood options

Crystal Clear Waters & Magical Marine Life! Blue Bay Marine Park is an absolute paradise for nature lovers and families! The glass-bottom boat ride and snorkeling were the perfect way to explore the vibrant coral reefs and colorful fish. The water was so clear, we could see marine life even without diving in! The turquoise lagoon and calm sea make it a perfect place for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. It’s peaceful, scenic, and truly showcases the underwater beauty of Mauritius. Highly recommend this hidden gem — an ideal half-day trip for families or couples wanting a serene, awe-inspiring experience.

We did glass bottom boat and snorkeling there. It was weekday so there was no crowd. We were alone in our boat so we could enjoy it better and fed fish with bread. Amazing experience of snorkeling also as the water was clear. This video I shot on my phone while doing snorkeling

Blue Bay Marine Park, located on the southeast coast, is a renowned snorkeling and diving spot with crystal-clear turquoise waters** and a vibrant underwater ecosystem. Declared a national park in 1997, it spans 353 hectares, protecting diverse marine life and coral gardens. Excellent Snorkeling: The shallow lagoon (1-5 meters deep) is perfect for all levels, revealing colorful corals (over 50 species) and numerous fish species. Expect to see parrotfish, butterflyfish, and possibly sea turtles. Boat tours often access prime snorkeling spots. Glass-Bottom Boat Tours:A popular way to view the underwater wonders without getting wet, ideal for families. Scuba Diving: Offers a more immersive experience with various dive sites for different skill levels, showcasing diverse marine life and coral formations. Ancient Coral:Home to some of the oldest and largest brain corals in Mauritius, some estimated to be over 1000 years old. Biodiversity:The park also supports mangroves, seagrasses, and algae, contributing to a rich marine habitat. Accessibility: Easily reached by car or bus from Mahebourg and the airport. Boat tours depart from Blue Bay beach. In short, Blue Bay Marine Park is a must-visit for marine enthusiasts in Mauritius, offering exceptional snorkeling and diving in a protected and beautiful environment.

A stunning beach with incredible azure waters, but sadly, most of the corals are dead or sick due to pollution and global warming. We snorkeled and saw a variety of fish, but it was heartbreaking to see their shelters, once vibrant corals, now lifeless. Despite this, the beach and bay remain breathtakingly beautiful.

Beautiful beach and park, it was independence day so it was very busy. We did a little boat trip, snorkeled a bit, the water is very clear over there and we went ashore at coco island, (Ilot Des Deux Cocos) this is an all inclusive island as far as I understood. We also had the fruits with tamarind sirop, chillie salt, and chillie paste. It's very good if you like spicy 😁.

Blue Bay Marine Park is a beautiful place for snorkeling. It features colorful corals and various species of tropical fish. The water is fairly clear, and underwater visibility is good. However, there can be strong currents while swimming.
