Make this restaurant a must if you’re in the Georgetown area! The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere fits its name! My husband got the Shrimp Po Boy with fries and loved both. I ordered the daily special of Caprese Noodles with Blackened Chicken & garlic bread…. They should absolutely put this on their daily menu! Ask for an extra piece of garlic bread, you’re going to want it! I can’t wait to go back.

This place is our favorite in the area. We both had the Gumbo which was some of the best I ever had. I had the fried fish basket which was perfectly done. They were a little skimpy with the frys but without me asking Rick brought us a basket full. Wife had Shrimp Remoulade appetizer as her entree she enjoyed it very much. Rick the server was great, friendly and on top of things. IE fry’s Highly recommend this place

Ok, I don't normally approach a review with such enthusiasm. Wife had a salad with fried shrimp, good. I had the oyster poboy with remoulade and red beans and rice. Sandwich was very good, bread was outstanding. Very soft bread with cracked crunchy exterior. Superior! Red beans and rice, beans that were obviously slow cooked for awhile, I assume Andouille sausage with an extra kick of spice. Oh my goodness!! I can't adequately express how good this stuff is!!! It tastes homemade by someone that has captured perfection. Mm mm any sort of gutteral response you can come up with... BRAVO!!! PS. Add a touch of the famous Avery Island sauce

We'll be back! The Blue Bayou's food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. My fried shrimp platter was delicious --the shrimp were fresh caught the same day. My husband got a very large and generous bowl of gumbo and rice and he loved it! Everything being served looked great. Not a big menu but who cares if the food is this good.

Excellent new addition to Georgetown riverfront. A limited menu but the focus on quality is evident. One of the best po boys I've had outside of Louisiana. Highly recommend!

I loved the food, the service from Rick (our server) was excellent, and I couldn't be more happy. The menu is limited, but that doesn't mean anything. Every item we had was as perfect as it could be. If you see one thing on this menu you like, you can be assured you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Amazing food and atmosphere! Sat at the bar and the service was great- ordered a grilled shimp salad and had Cajun balsamic vinegarette dressing for the first time and it was mind blowing! This place will now be my go to- Great job to the staff!

Yelp
We loved the meal we had on the patio on a Saturday evening. The fried oyster po' boy, the red beans and rice, and the burger were all great. And we had excellent service. Great spot on the water!

Yelp
Best Burger on the Block! Georgetown's Front Street has many great restaurants ranging from comfort casual to fancy fine. The Blue Bayoo Bistro is relatively new, opening in October 2024. We just got to try it today and BBB now holds the trophy for my favorite Saturday lunch burger! The rest of the menu is simple but based on our small sampling of their Fried Chicken Sandwich, Steak Fries, and a cup of Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, all delicious, we'll be back for more. The owner's Louisiana roots show in the simple decore and across the menu. Recommended! Check it out.

Yelp
I had the burger and it was delightful. The service was great. I very much enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant . Don't forget to walk through and check out the signs.

Yelp
Sat and waited for 40 minutes while other people who sat down after us were served, ate, and left. Was promised that the food "was coming shortly"multiple times. How can restaurants continue to get away with this level of service and stay open? It's safe to say we will not be returning to the Blue Bayou.

Yelp
My husband and I were doing a regular touristy thing exploring historic Georgetown Waterfront and were hungry. We decided on the Blue Bayou from looking at reviews. You walk in and it is a super cute little cafe/bar. Minimalist decorations and just perfect. Definite New Orleans vibes. Our server was adorable. Sweet and helpful. My husband ordered a side salad and the gumbo. The side salad came out and let me tell you: it was big enough for 2 if not 3 people. A spring mix with cucumbers, tomatoes and cheese. A nice honey mustard dressing because that is what my husband likes. Fresh and crisp. I ordered the special for that day: a pulled pork po-boy and fries. (I also had to order a side of red beans and rice because you can't NOT have some at a Cajun inspired restaurant) the gumbo AND red beans and rice were absolutely "slap yo momma terrific" spicey, full of flavor. Just perfect and honestly I could have stopped there... but NO. Out comes the po boy... holy WOW! HUGE! There was this sandwich that I was stunned by. The pulled bbq was piled high, under that was a shredded Cole-slaw just as flavorful and the nice touch of a couple pickles on each half of the sandwich under the slaw. The bbq: it was fabulous. A great flavor: imagine sweet and tangy, just right. The bread it was on was AMAZING. Toasted lightly, soft on the inside. A perfect, easy to bite into bun. (Though it was so big I honestly did have to use my fork) A pickle spear accompanied the sandwich. The side I got was the steak fries. Yes not French fries but steak fries. The server had a few on the plate and let me know as soon as more came up she would bring more right out. Mmm mmm mmmm ... perfectly seasoned and hot .. needless to say we were stuffed and probably left a little less than half the food. (We weren't going to be back at the house for several hours and as it was so hot out decided not to take it to go, though sad because that was a fabulous meal) if you've not stopped into this quaint little Cajun heaven.... Give it a go.... C'est Les Bonnie Temps Roulet!!!!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on Tuesday. One of us got the oyster po'boy and the other got the hamburger. Both were very good and best of all were the steak fries that were homemade. Awesome. Service was ok nothing special but the food made up for it. Only negative was the coffee that a spoon could've stood up in. Will eat there again.

Yelp
I had the red beans and rice here today. OMG, it was so good. Such a good flavor. It was priced nice and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This was the second time we went. The first was very good and we decided to take some guests from out of town. The experience was very disappointing. There were 4 po boys ordered an one burger. All the rolls were dry and very bland. The fries tasted as if they were a day old. All the portions were small for the price charged. Will not be back.

Yelp
In town for a day trip. The food was amazing, and we are foodies from NYC. Our server Tripp was outstanding. Chef Robert came out to check on us which was delightfully unexpected. We had the Chicken Sausage Gumbo and a beautiful Cajun Chickpea salad with blackened shrimp, best salad ever. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was the best we've had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the BBB and we will definitely be eating there on our next visit with family and friends. The place has a nice, inviting and open vibe.

Yelp
The food was excellent and hit just right on a cold winter day. Jasmine was a sweet and attentive server with great recommendations . I can't say enough about this cozy, amazing, and altogether wonderful little bistro on the Georgetown waterfront. Do yourself a favor and get there now!!

Yelp
This is run by some of the best people in South Carolina, and boy can everyone there cook! The perfect blend between Cajun and lowcountry foods. Please go see them ASAP! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
In town visiting and ate here three times! I wish I could have tried more dishes. The food is amazing, and I'm a foodie from New Orleans. The service and staff are outstanding. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is located in the heart of the waterfront district with boardwalk access. I loved everything I tried! I highly recommend the bacon wrapped oysters appetizer, gumbo, red beans and rice just to name a few. The French bread that comes with some dishes melts in your mouth. The seared tuna app was amazing too! I can't wait to go back. A must try if you are in the area.
