😊: We booked the studio lake view dome, and it was genuinely stunning. I would highly recommend the stay! It was magical and idealic - watching the sunrise with a mountain view- truly was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and found a way to manage our series of requests. If you're interested in making a fire - just be mindful of the 5 dollar bundles you'll see up the Cabot - most of it is wet wood and wont burn well. Blue bayou has plenty of dry wood and kindling for 8 bucks a bucket - so just something to note!. 😢: As they had literally just opened up for the season - there were a few kinks that had to be worked out. Our dome only had grill grades, and they didn't have coal - so we used a neighbouring domes electric grid. That may not be possible as the season gets busier- so it would be good to make sure they're prepared with the necessary items so that you can have a good camping session. The domes itself are a little chilly - so I'd recommend bringing an extra blanket just in case..

Second time staying here, 5 years ago and we stayed in a dome which was a unique experience we loved. This visit we stayed in the Coozy cabin. The name is well suited, we stayed nice and cozy on a cold and rainy May long weekend. Having the kitchen was great and was well stocked with everything we needed. The covered porch was nice to enjoy sitting outside even in the rain. There is a bbq and fire pit. |The kids loved bunk room, the zip line, and kayaks. Being right on the bay is nice for swimming and fishing from the dock. The views of the mountains are stunning and it’s a great home base to explore the highlands. Very close to the best beaches and hiking. The hosts are lovely and helpful.

Great view of the water and the mountains specially for sunset. Dome was spacious and had everything we needed. Bathroom and shower were great. Great place to make a fire and stare at the stars. Friendly owner and dog. They also allow dogs.

😊: Plenty of space in the tent , and the lakeside setting was nice. The bed was very comfortable. It was raining when we went, it might be a nicer experience in summer. 😢: I totally recognise it's glamping and not a luxury hotel, but I don't feel the place matches the advertising pictures. It seems to have an expensive price but provide only very basic facilities, eg all that's in the tent are 2 cups and a kettle and no soft furnishings other than old chair and a picnic table. It wouldn't cost much to provide some basic cutlery and crockery to eat from, or to make the listings clearer that it's basic place rather than what we've experienced before with glamping.

No value for the money. If had paid the going rate for a tent site with electricity, maybe I wouldn't complain. But there was nothing in terms of quality or the experience that made our stay here worth as much as I paid for nice motels the other nights on our Cabot Trail trip. Domes are all packed in close together, nothing you would call a nice view out the window. They are poorly constructed and maintained (the door on our unit had a large gap around the seal - good thing it wasn't mosquito season). The small space heater would not have been sufficient if the temperature had dipped near freezing. Didn't even attempt a shower to see how long 2 gallons of hot water would last... and there's no hot water at the "kitchen" sink. Etc. Can't say we had a terrible experience, but certainly not what we expected and not worth the price.

😊: Owners were nice enough to wait for us and give us instructions on how to reach our dome. Place was very tranquil and peaceful esp during early hours. Had great views at the back too! And instructions were given on how to use dome facilities. Owners were also kind enoug to give us suggestions on where to eat and that was a big help! They recommended a nice place.. 😢: Dome little cold (it was rainy that day so maybe we felt little colder than expected) but Highlands are usually colder than lower places. Maybe better to fully savor the place by staying longer and not just for a night like us..

Wonderful and unique place to stay. The lake is beautiful and the owner is very accommodating. It is very much like glamping!

We stayed two nights at the resort and found very pricey ( not adequate) for the condition of the dome. Firstly, the bedding sheet was spotted with oil, and it did not look freshly washed. The bedspread was absolutely looking dirty. At the night, we noticed crawling earwigs on the ceiling and the walls, we spent some time killing them or they can ran away under the concrete. Secondly, if customer pays such higher amount for the night the fire woods should be included automatically without charging an extra $8 and plus $8 for the bucket of coal. Barbecue was outdated. We assumed it would be a real barbecue to cook but we were mistaken. No towels at all!!! I have never seen any places without towels before. I understand the fact for people to have their own businesses and make up the price according the service they provide, but that must be fulfilled realistically within customers satisfaction. Unfortunately, I can’t say about this resort. Needed to be improved hopefully by the next year.

Yelp
Pictures online are not of actual sites. Domes are very close together with minimal privacy. We booked one with a water view and were moved to another without a water view for no reason and still paid the same. The original site was not occupied our entire stay. Inside the dome we found that the sheets on the bed had hair, there was only one hand towel, two face clothes and two small shower towels that smelled like they had been left sitting in the washer too long. There was a body wash and shampoo dispenser in the shower but no hand soap (definitely not following any covid protocols). Sheets on the bed were dirty/stale, the comforter had dead bugs on it and clearly had not been laundered recently and the pillows were well worn and had no hygiene covers between them and the pillow cases. There was a coffee press and kettle ton oil water, but the coffee press had clearly barely even been rinsed off from whoever used it previously . There must be a leak or broken seals on the dome covering because on multiple occasion we could see small puddles on the floor and condensation on the inside of the dome. We felt uncomfortable bringing any concerns to the owner as he was unpleasant to deal with and we wanted to avoid him as best we could. After already staying on the site one night, the owner informed us that he forgot to charge a pet fee and when we brought up that he also changed our site and still charged the original price he said it didn't matter he was going to charge our card and then abruptly left. He also had a dog that he left off leash wandering around the sites. They say that they have paddle board rentals, and that they do. Do not expect anything fancy or in prime condition. When we got back from paddle boarding, the owner was sitting near the dock and yelled out a sexist remark that made my boyfriend and I extremely uncomfortable. There were also no life jackets available. Overall, I would highly recommend not wasting your money at this "resort". Between the owner, the actual state of the domes and the overall unpleasant experience, there are many other air bnb's in the same general area that are the same price with way more to offer. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Yelp
we were told we could only rent a dome with a king size bed for two people from glamping.com, when we arrived we were told without seeing the domes there was another dome available. since there were four of us we rented the extra dome. when we arrived at the dome there wasn't a king size bed as told but two queens (in both domes). easily enough for four people, which was advertised on the website but not offered to us. the owner also said if we paid him direct he'd charge us less, and we were charged more than advertised on his website (when we check it upon returning home. it was loud with people playing a stereo until 11pm. both domes had intermittent hot water. domes were very close together and smelly.
