Lovely spot! Well worth the cost. Only issue is a mop is needed in each dome as the floor gets very dirty, very quickly, and no entry way mat is there. Power also trips frequently if you try to use more than 1 appliance (heater and dehumidifier). Beautiful view as well!

My wife and I did not have a good experience. We rented a dome for 3 nights but only stayed one. Be careful which dome you get, stay away from ones that are not protected by shade! We arrived on a very hot day and the dome was a sauna. All they give you is a dehumidifier and a crappy oscillating fan-no air conditioning. We were sleeping on top of the covers till about 11pm. Luckily it rained that night and it took away the humidity, thought by 9am it was getting hot in the dome again. Be warned, there is a large window in the top centre of the dome, which was great for star watching but also wakes you up in the morning. Our lake view was spoiled by the construction of other domes, it was also noisy in the afternoon with the machinery. Cheap furniture but comfortable beds. Also be warned, the toilet is behind the bedroom wall with no privacy or containment. We were offered to exchange domes but declined as we didn't trust it would be better without any air conditioning. We did pass what looked like an amazing glamping experience in Pleasant Bay, about 20 minutes away, each dome had a hot tub and air conditioning. Our experience at the Blue Bayou is that it was better than camping but definitely not glamping.

While the grounds were clean, the rooms were not. Earwigs from one end to the other. No air conditioning, like living in a sauna. No barbecue, just an old piece of metal to put coals in. Last night, we slept in our vehicle. There is no view of the water. Price is outrageous for the amenities provided. If you want to camp, buy yourself a tent, you'll enjoy it more. There are other domes in the Cheticamp area that are of higher quality and the same price. We checked those out on our way home. This needs more attention to detail.

The location is perfect! And, the domes were clean. No door or even a curtain to separate the room from the washroom! How would kids and adults deal in such situation! The domes were freezing cold at night. The provided heater is so small for the space. No fridge. I am very disappointed especially with the price I have paid for these domes.

Overall, I think this could be a nice spot to stay for a few nights. However, that really depends on the weather. We stayed here for one night about two weeks ago and it could not have been worse. There was a bit of rain forecasted. Once this started around midnight, the sound it made was insane: the roof of the tents are made of some sort of aluminum/metal sheet which intensifies the drops falling on it. Even a few drops of drizzle was not bearable. We tried earplugs, earplugs with noise-cancelling headphones, and stuffing your head under a pillow, anything. It would go through all. We tried to sleep in the car multiple times because the sound drove us mad. But that of course failed too. We contacted the owner about switching to a dome as he told us that only about five domes out of 30ish on his property were booked. We also asked for other earplugs. The only response we got that it was possible to switch only after we immediately would pay the price difference at the office and that there were no earplugs. We would have appreciated a bit more service here because renting these tents out with this weather is moronic, in my opinion. We have plenty of camping and glamping experience, this was not acceptable. Other than the poor choice of roofing, there is a very basic/small bbq present (coals/wood not included), the tents are nicely lit and do keep out insects with the double lining. The mattress was very good. It did seem a bit too crowded on the property with so many domes around so you do not have too much privacy. Overall, I would recommend these tents if it is not raining AT ALL. I am assuming that it is also intense when it is very hot so be mindful when you book. I added a picture of us as proof there because I read a few responses of the owner to some other feedback questioning if the person was there at all.

The owner Stephan really saved us! We had a really hard time coming back on our kayaks (those winds are strong!), and to top it off my wife's paddle broke. We got her to shore and I paddled hard back to camp, found Stephan, and hopped in his truck to go find her. When we did he hauled the kayak up the cliff and helped her climb up - I don't know what we would have done without him! Beyond that, the camp was great value. We stayed in one of the on-site black tents, and with two nights the kayaks were free. No complaints - just watch out for those winds!

😊: The Domes do what they say - they have facilities but are basic. It did not promise a view and did not have one from the dome. It was less than a minute to the lakeside which was beautiful. The lady at reception was very helpful. As we stayed more than - night, we had access to kayaks which was a great perk.. 😢: Lack of view and that the domes were very close to each other so there limited private outdoor space..

Yelp
Pictures online are not of actual sites. Domes are very close together with minimal privacy. We booked one with a water view and were moved to another without a water view for no reason and still paid the same. The original site was not occupied our entire stay. Inside the dome we found that the sheets on the bed had hair, there was only one hand towel, two face clothes and two small shower towels that smelled like they had been left sitting in the washer too long. There was a body wash and shampoo dispenser in the shower but no hand soap (definitely not following any covid protocols). Sheets on the bed were dirty/stale, the comforter had dead bugs on it and clearly had not been laundered recently and the pillows were well worn and had no hygiene covers between them and the pillow cases. There was a coffee press and kettle ton oil water, but the coffee press had clearly barely even been rinsed off from whoever used it previously . There must be a leak or broken seals on the dome covering because on multiple occasion we could see small puddles on the floor and condensation on the inside of the dome. We felt uncomfortable bringing any concerns to the owner as he was unpleasant to deal with and we wanted to avoid him as best we could. After already staying on the site one night, the owner informed us that he forgot to charge a pet fee and when we brought up that he also changed our site and still charged the original price he said it didn't matter he was going to charge our card and then abruptly left. He also had a dog that he left off leash wandering around the sites. They say that they have paddle board rentals, and that they do. Do not expect anything fancy or in prime condition. When we got back from paddle boarding, the owner was sitting near the dock and yelled out a sexist remark that made my boyfriend and I extremely uncomfortable. There were also no life jackets available. Overall, I would highly recommend not wasting your money at this "resort". Between the owner, the actual state of the domes and the overall unpleasant experience, there are many other air bnb's in the same general area that are the same price with way more to offer. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Yelp
we were told we could only rent a dome with a king size bed for two people from glamping.com, when we arrived we were told without seeing the domes there was another dome available. since there were four of us we rented the extra dome. when we arrived at the dome there wasn't a king size bed as told but two queens (in both domes). easily enough for four people, which was advertised on the website but not offered to us. the owner also said if we paid him direct he'd charge us less, and we were charged more than advertised on his website (when we check it upon returning home. it was loud with people playing a stereo until 11pm. both domes had intermittent hot water. domes were very close together and smelly.
