Blue Buddha Beach Rooms & Suites

This was the first time to Portugal and was recommended by family, to keep it short we stayed at the Blue Buddha Beach House and it was great. The views from the balcony were fantastic and the sound of the waves at night was great.|The property itself was immaculate couldn't fault it the room and bathroom was spotless and cleaned every day. Nothing was to much for the staff they were always very helpful and at the end of the phone if there there were any questions which made for an excellent stay. You are within 5 minutes walk to town with many great bars and restaurant's. |To sum up great accommodation great staff and we will be back.

Great room with ocean view. The price corresponds to the quality. In reality, everything looks exactly as it was stated on the website. The room is clean, cleaned every day. The owner responded to our requests (for example, we asked for an iron). Sitting at the table and looking at the ocean is a pleasure.

Loved our stay here! Even though there’s no reception desk, the staff is very responsive on WhatsApp. The check in process was easy and we loved having a code so we didn’t have to worry about losing our keys. The room is very clean and comfortable and even though there was no air conditioning, leaving the doors open and listening to the ocean made for a very peaceful sleep! Great location as well, just a short walk to all the restaurants, etc. Also, beautiful sunsets!!

Great place. Good price. Some rooms are ensuite. Don't think any have air-con...none of the 5 we shared did. But left the door open and listened to the waves. Slept well each night. Never had to queue for the shared, incredibly clean bathroom.

Blue Buddha is in great location overlooking the town beach. It’s easy to walk everywhere and the rooms are stylish, large and clean. We were on the top floor so had a balcony where we could enjoy the sunset. ||||There was no communal room that we were aware of - so there is no opportunity to cook at the guesthouse and there are no fridges in the rooms. But there are plenty of bars for sunset drinks and restaurants in town serve good fresh fish. Nearby, there is a lovely bakery within 30 metres which is great for breakfast coffee, croissants or any other delicious looking pastry. ||||As there were no staff on the premises the check in process was done via what’s app so make sure you have data to get the check in codes for the building and rooms. ||||I would happily stay in Blue Buddha again- it feels like staying in comfortable beach house, right beside the sea and there is nothing quite like sleeping with the sound of waves at your door.

And if you choose a room with the ocean view like I did, you can hear the sounds of the waves non-stop. I simply loved it.|The staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean and so was the bathroom even if it is shared. They clean every day.|Wi-Fi was working really well. |The bed was very comfortable and the location just perfect. There was a shared balcony right on the ocean which I loved. I was able to properly relax. You can easily walk to town from there as it is a very convenient location.|The only thing was that check-in is at 3pm and when I arrived and rang there was nobody opening the door so I had to get back later. Overall really recommended.

Overall a really pretty accommodation. Easy access via pin, no key or card needed. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The view from the balcony is amazing!! However, as we stayed in room number 10, there have been quite a few issues I’d like to mention. First of all, we booked a room on the first floor, I don’t know if we were just unlucky but the room was on the ground floor/the basement (still a terrace though). The view therefore was a little restricted from the wall/bamboo thing in front of the terrace. Second of all, which is the actual reason I’m not giving 5 stars: there was water (hopefully from a shower…) coming out of a pipe/hole right next to our terrace space at around 1-2m height. The water always sprinkled onto our terrace and therefore on us when we were sitting there or onto our towels etc… so gross. Maybe try to install a glass wall or something like that. Overall a great but very simple (no hairdryer etc) accommodation with a great view (except you’re staying in number 10…) :) We would come again but definitely request another room!

Great location, view and especially the sound of the ocean just outside the room is wonderful! Cons: no shampoo, hairdryer or iron, and a shower without a place to put the handle.
