I just loved the sushi they had here! Im even more impressed by the vibe, I really like how all the teal and blue really worked well together with Japanese design cues and use of bamboo around the room! There's even a small little dining area that's orange hued that i loved! Their drinks are very good and I ordered the watermelon lemonade! The chefs plate was also very good too and he made some pretty good selections from the menu! I also love the baked shrimp too that had even better vegetables!

Good layout and atmosphere for sushi! The bar is located at the center and has great service, the drinks are tasty and they have good selection of scotch whiskey, sake and beer. The sushi we ordered was fresh, tasty and plated beautifully. Client service was exceptional. Seating locations is good and a nice layout so as to make sure you ate in space that made one feel comfortable. Definitely visit and enjoy sushi here, well worth the experience..

The jalapeños poppers were the best I have ever eaten. Lake Powell roll, rainbow roll, and volcano roll were excellent. The ginger pear martini was fantastic our waiter was friendly and the even the guy who cleans the tables did it with pizza and flair! All around wonderful experience!

Liked the ambience. Most recommended by locals here. We tried traditional margarita, old fashioned, ginger lime martini and strawberry mojito. Other than old fashioned, all other drinks were good. Old fashioned was not good. It was too strong. Food - we ordered shrimp tempura sushi rolls, shrimp tempura appetizer, veggie phat bowl, Cucumber rolls, yum yum bombs. Other than cucumber roll everything was good. Though there are not lot of drink options in menu, they make if we ask for. Though they have cheesecake in menu, they did not have it which disappointed me. The gentleman who took care of us did an amazing job. But other lady who initially took us in could have been more friendlier. Definitely recommended if you are in Page, AZ.

This was my first time and I really enjoyed myself. After spending the day at Lake Powell it was nice to come in and sit down down in a clean and fun environment. The waiters were quick and very knowledgeable. For our group of six we ordered 10 different rolls. The biggest haul I’ve ever been a part of. We enjoyed every last bit of those 60 pieces of sushi. We also ordered two rice bowls just in case some of the younger kids didn’t end up liking the sushi. All in all I would say that next year when we come back to Lake Powell we will be going to Blue Buddha for some good sushi!!

As a vegan eater, I don't have a lot of restaurant options in Page. Therefore I was really happy to find this restaurant. I chose the Phat Bowl with rice, sweet chili sauce and tofu for a total of $11. The price is totally OK and it was very tasty! The waiter (Ian, according to the bill) was nice, he asked the kitchen especially for me which sauce was vegan (only sweet chili - for me, it wasn't too spicy). My friend chose the Teriyaki Chicken for $17 and was also very pleased. We were seated with no problems and didn't have to wait long for either the drink or the food. We can definitely recommend the restaurant ! :-)

Probably my prefered Shushis restaurant. Visited 4-5 times, perfect quality all the time. Service sometimes a little bit slow. Prices a little bit high, but very touristic area... Even when I'm logging in Kanab, I drive the hour to eat there ;)

Surprising find in Page! Sushi was good and they had vegan options too. The yum yum bombs were decent. The phat bowl was amazing!

Yelp
Great food, great service, plenty of menu options to choose from. My son is very picky and they always accommodate our crazy requests for him. The dining area and bar are very comfortable and relaxing.

Yelp
We are in town for the weekend and saw this restaurant on Yelp. I called and there was no wait for a Saturday night at 6:30pm for dinner, we were on our way. After we parked, saw the sign on the bldg but where was it. Don't miss it, it's down the alleyway. When we opened the door, such an unassuming place, but opened up to a large size restaurant after you step a few steps down. We were seated with menu in hand. There's one host, a busboy and a waiter in the front of the restaurant and all 3 hustled. There's a good amount of ppl having dinner. Nice looking bar. Food took a bit to come out but we totally understand as it's a busy night. Food was decent. For the price, it's pretty good. Great service overall and super polite busboy. I would recommend it. The dynamite roll and coconut shrimp are our favs.

Yelp
HH daily 5p-6p Great friendly attentive service. We didn't order any beverages as we just had something to drink at our hotel. The server suggested hot water. Great. Even got a refill later. Waited 25 minutes for food. But we had plenty of time. We arrived at 5:45p. I asked about HH. One lobster roll for $8 instead of $10. I passed. We went with - * beef ramen soup * hamachi roll, * unagi roll, and * California roll. Wasabi & ginger brought over. Later the server asked if we wanted more wasabi or ginger. Dessert - green tea ice cream. Was a very generous serving. Very smooth but needed more matcha. Located at Dam Plaza. Plenty of parking spots.

Yelp
The staff were really nice when I visited and the food was very fresh. I recommend to those who'd like a fancier dining experience in Page.

Yelp
Considering how pricey it is to dine out in Page, Blue Buddha is a relative bargain! With hot sake, nigiri, rolls, soup, edamame and one sizable entree, Four of us came in at $200 total - tip included. That's only slightly higher than you'd pay for an all-you-can-eat sushi meal in Vegas, and the quality was better! The vibe is hip and chill. Dress up or down. It's all good. On a Saturday night with both an eclipse and a marathon in town, we expected to wait a bit - and we did. The tall slender host/bus-guy was dour and unpleasant - providing service with a snarl. Girl, wash your face. The server on the other hand - was frazzled but friendly. Even though he was slammed, he did his best, and we appreciated it. The sushi fell on the good side of standard. Nothing surprising but nothing disappointing either. The big win for the evening was actually the mahi mahi entree. A huge chunk of fish fried up in a delicious crust with a macadamia and citrus dressing. My boyfriend is not a fan of deep-fried food and understandably wished that this had been noted in the menu description- but even he enjoyed the generous portion and delightful flavors. Looking forward to future visits!

Yelp
So much fun in a small place! A bar, lots of seating, great staff, and the food was great! Nice selection of sushi and other menu items, served on plates to share (huge portions). Definitely recommend.

ashita G.

Yelp
Amazing food .. ordered Buddha and volcano rolls along with Phat veggie bowl .. great service .. amazing food and good ambience...

Rachel S.

Yelp
We absolutely love Blue Buddha!! We probably frequent here at least once a month if not more in the summer. We usually sit at the bar, so Shelby will wait on us, she is the absolute best!!! She makes a rockin Cucumber saki martini that I get every time (yum) The food is always stellar, from the truffle buddhammame (probably spelled wrong lol) to some of the sushi rolls are so good. (The names are great, all lake related) but the best are the Yum Yums Deep fried Oreos omg they are to die for!!!!

Elena F.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and design of the restaurant. The bartender was nice. Waiting time was a little bit long. I liked sushi with raw fish and didn't like baked (too much mayo, you can taste it) I would go back and try something else one day.

Stephen N.

Yelp
I really like this place. We come to Page at least once a month and always come here. Food is consistently good. We often sit at the bar. Shelby is great with a smile and good suggestions as well as being a great mixologist. The yum yum bombs are a delicious desert to end the evening. Are 2 enough, 4 too many?

Erin L.

Yelp
Best meal we ate in Page! This place is a hidden gem. We had multiple sushi rolls and the coconut shrimp and it was all delicious!

Jamie L.

Yelp
Came late at night for some sushi and found that other restaurants in the area were pretty expensive. Although Blue Buddha is slifhrlt expensive, it's worth it because it's sushi and Page is a vacation town. Ordered the mussels appetizer, sushi platter, and a mahi mahi entree. The sushi rice was slightly mushy but everything else was great! We had a good experience and our waiter was kind and helpful. The vibes inside are very sushi-lounge/college vibe. Would definitely come back!

Gerardo A.

Yelp
I'm visiting Arizona with my wife and we decided to stop at the blue Buddha sushi lounge and what a mistake it was. We literally waited at the door to be seated for 10mins and when I finally asked an employee do we seat ourselves, his response was "no" I'll be there in a few mins. Those mins came and went and we still didn't get seated,so we decided to leave. This place is horrible and I don't recommend it to anyone. I'm actually happy we didn't get seated because that just shows how horrible the service is. It's too bad because I was really in the mood for their food.

Amber D.

Yelp
Great find in Page. Hidden gem with very cool ambiance. I got the veggie bowl and it was delicious! I highly recommend this spot.

Teresa H.

Yelp
Food was really great. Love the Ambiance. Service was fine. Definitely will return! Fun place

Leslie D.

Yelp
On vacation and stopped for dinner. Fabulous atmosphere. Great service and good sushi. We will be back!

Graham Y.

Yelp
Wow. Was scared with the reviews but gave it a shot anyway. Not a lot of choices in Page. Great service. Good food. Fun atmosphere. Nice design elements. I am picky. Sushi was fresh and prepared correctly. Staff was friendly and attentive. Place was packed and we received our food in a timely manner. If not fast. It was great and not sure about the low scores. Vendetta from ex employees or bad days at a restaurant. Regardless we loved it and will go back. Healthiest and cleanest meal in Page. Recommend.

Allegra B.

Yelp
I was visiting Page, AZ with my family and had no plans for dinner. A quick Google search took us to Blue Buddha Sushi. We were amazed with the customer service, quality and presentation of food, and overall vibe/music. Side note: happy hour is from 4pm-6pm. We ordered an assortment of everything: speciality rolls, teriyaki edamame, ramen, cocktails. Some favorites of the night were the bullfrog roll, caterpillar roll, and asian pear mojito. I highly suggest dining here!

J L.

Yelp
Good sushi, cool atmosphere and vibe, good service. Overall a good experience and would def return.

Yelp
DON'T COME DON'T COME DON'T COME DON'T COME as a traveler originally come from asia and live in nyc and the Bay Area for years, I would give this restaurant below zero if I could. The food is pricey and taste worse. Plates are not clean with food from previous customers. We waited for more than 40 mins for our food. 18% tips are automatically included to the bill. In terms of food, I don't think they know anything about Japanese food at all. Even their rice are not sushi rice. I am also skeptical about the quality of any raw ingredients. Come on, even in nyc, the price is unreasonable. Needless to say the bad quality of the food.

Joellen C.

Yelp
Mushy sushi rice, aight sauce, and very disappointing service. Our family ordered at ~7 pm and we didn't get our food until an hour and a half later at 8:38 pm. What was even more disappointing was that despite being seated first, the waiter (Jacqueline) served the nearby private party of 8 before us even though our family ordered first & had 5 ppl. She also spilled a puddle of cold water on my older brother's pants, didn't apologize & at the end of the meal charged an automatic gratuity for being a party of greater than 4. The sushi rolls were also very small in portion & not filling (6 pieces for $8.50 - $12). We had to order an additional Chicken Teriyaki plate which was extremely dry & majority of the plate was soggy vegetables (see pic). Our family left hungry & ended up ordering take out and snacks at a nearby Thai restaurant instead of waiting around and ordering more at this slow & small portioned restaurant. Blue Buddha, you've made me bluer than blue.

Yelp
We were in town for one night in Page to visit Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend and we were looking for something outside the box and stumbled upon this cute little spot! Located in a strip mall, you walk around the side of the building to the main entrance. We were greeted immediately and sat down at a table. The decor was really interesting and unique. Several sushi rolls jumped out at me but we decided to go with the 3 roll chef special. I highly suggest doing this not only for the price point for THREE ROLLS, but the fun experience of letting the chef choose and prepare the sushi rolls for you. Each roll was unique and had a different flavor profile. I was worried we would get the cheapest rolls on the menu but we were pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of the chef's choices! We left feeling satisfied and ready for our next adventure. Highly recommend if you're in the Page area!

Cheyenne P.

Yelp
We ordered take out and when we picked it up, we waited 10 minutes before someone came to the counter. The dumplings and edamame were good, except they packed the dumpling sauce with the lid off and it spilled all over. The spider roll was salty and so was the volcano roll.

Liang Z.

Yelp
People ordering take-outs need to be aware of the added on gratuity fee. I'm not going to complaint about the price of the food since they were listed and I ordered anyway, the Rainbow, shrimp Tempura, and the Sashimi Plate were good, avoid the shrimp bowl for take-out, it was dry and the sauce got too thick when we got home. I'm giving them one star because we were forced to pay a 16% gratuity on a take-out order. They force on the gratuity as a fee, no longer a representation of their dine-in services. Yes it is Page, a tourist town, but it portraits our culture poorly when there are tons of Europeans and foreigners visiting every day.

Brian S.

Yelp
So I've been here before one other time and had a pleasant experience before as well. I ordered the Spicy tuna roll, Lake Powell roll & Wake Surfer roll as a main Entree. Probably my favorite was the Spicy Tuna. Got some Purple haze sake to cheers my wife and had a good flavor but the peach might have been better last time. And for dessert, was the yum yum bomb with fried oreo. This thing was definitely a desert roll. It's pretty big and the fried oreo was really good. I would suggest having at least one to try.

Arthur R.

Yelp
DISGUSTING!!!!!' Bought 2 of these with my fiancé, both of us took ONE BITE and threw out the rest. No sauce, no seasoning. Just imitation crab that you can get for $1.50 and big cucumber chunks. Did I mention a pool of water at the bottom? Absolutely nasty. The 4 sushi rolls we got were also terrible and we only ate about 1/4 of it. Oh, and we were forced to pay an 18% tip for pickup which is ridiculous. Service was terrible as a cherry on top, took 10 minutes for them to run the card. We are ordering pizza as I'm writing this review because we're both hungry after blowing $65 on sh*t food. I'd rate this -2* if I could.

Lily S.

Yelp
We saw more Asians here than expected, naturally we thought it'd be an excellent place. But meh, maybe the choices for Asian food were limited in this town. Everything we had was mediocre especially the ramen. Besides not having milky broth, the egg was a hard boiled one. Not soft cooked halves. Please don't call it ramen, it's at most a noodle soup bowl. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the lighting and cute decors but they really need to wipe down the tables and chairs, they were dusty.

Ziyan C.

Yelp
Blue Buddha is a fine option if you're really craving Japanese, but isn't exactly where you'd go for classic nigiri/rolls and quality fresh seafood. Especially on the Specialty Rolls, they tend to just pile on a ton of ingredients (mostly fried, mostly cheese). A lot of it tastes good, but you can't really appreciate the raw fish (though given the landlocked situation of Page it probably isn't amazing raw fish). THE WAIT: None for dinner on Black Friday for 4, around 5 or 6pm. They were somewhat busy. THE COST: $110.07 before tips for a filling dinner for four. FLAVORED HOT SAKE * Purple Haze (raspberry liquor, hot sake $4) - 2.5 stars Flavor was very artificial. This was nothing special. ENTREES * Holy Scallops ($25.50) - 3.5 stars Pretty good, and a very filling cheesy way to serve scallops. The sauce had great flavor, but the veggies were bland. Quite overpriced though. * Miso soup (comes with entrees) - 3 stars This was fine. PHAT BOWLS * Chicken, Thai peanut sauce, half rice/half noodles ($10.50) - 3 stars Chicken was a bit dry, and veggies were very bland. I appreciated that my server let me get half rice and half noodles when I couldn't make up my mind. This ended up being not quite enough veggies/meat to go with the carbs, and I asked for extra sauce (which our server happily brought over). SPECIALS * Chicken Ramen ($12) - 3.5 stars A solid choice if you're feeling ramen. They use the same chicken meat as the phat bowls, a little dry. REGGAE ROLLS * Shrimp Tempura Roll ($5) - 3 stars This was fine. I wished for a little more crunch on the tempura. SPECIALTY ROLLS * Volcano Roll ($13.50) - 3.5 stars Very impressive, & filling. This ends up being sushi with a ton of stuff on it - you can't really discern a lot of individual flavors, but I still kept helping myself to more! * Arizona Roll ($5) - 3 stars Fine, nothing too special, this maybe was a bit much w/ sweet chili sauce. * Weekend at Burnie's ($12.50) - 3 stars Tempura was a bit soft, and the ingredients had too much going on to really notice the tuna.

Tina C.

Yelp
I had been on the road visiting the region for a week and was dying for Japanese cuisine and the reviews looked promising. The restaurant had a fun atmosphere with eclectic decor. Service was friendly and prices were good but the food was just subpar. Miso soup had large sliced button mushrooms (not Japanese)in it and not enough miso. The non-sushi rice was stale, almost crunchy. There was so much rice and hardly any fish in the Maki rolls - this was across all the sushi I ordered. The chicken teriyaki had a bottled teriyaki sauce taste with tasteless zucchini and canned corn as sides. I don't know who was in the kitchen but they had no idea how to cook anything close to Japanese cuisine.

Lexii B.

Yelp
When you come here I recommend having Brycen make your rolls he also does have a secret menu he definitely puts love into the work and leaves an excellent touch of grateful taste

gee m.

Yelp
We had our doubts about sushi in page, AZ. My son insisted and so we went. We were so glad we did. This place is just cool. Interior has a cool funky vibe, and the service was great despite them being short on wait staff. The food was really good. We favor more traditional sushi and the salmon and hamachi did not disappoint. They also have their own unique rolls that were totally worth trying.

Radoslav N.

Yelp
Worst sushi place I've been to by far. If you're coming from California - imagine Ralph's sushi, just 5 times worse. The rice is very sticky, there is barely ANY fish in the rolls and the rolls themselves are extremely small. Everything tastes sub par and leaves a bad salty aftertaste. Top that off with the 25 min wait to be seated and another 30 min wait for the first rolls on your order to arrive... you get the picture...

Debbie F.

Yelp
Ok, gotta give it to the only sushi spot in Page. From the moment you walk in, it has a nice ambiance, decorated in a warm and inviting manner, and yet relaxing. It is a little hard to find as it is down the walkway between 2 buildings, but with a patio and painting on the walls around it, it stands out when you see it. Our server was great! He was very familiar with the menu, polite and checked back with us frequently. One of the items I ordered, he said was a very popular menu item, yet it wasn't my favorite as I felt it lacked flavor. (Not his fault as I appreciate the recommendation and he felt bad when I said it was just ok.) I ordered a roll with lobster and it was good, just nothing memorable. Thinking about it now, lobster is somewhat flavorless to me without sauce or butter but it was interesting to try. Everything else we ordered was delightful, nique combinations, nicely presented and flavorful. Exactly what we want from our meal. Next time I find myself in Page, I would definitely go back here. I would probably opt for a table in the front sections with cushioned chairs instead of the higher stool seats we were in this time. If you enjoy sushi, give this place a try!

Ibrahim N.

Yelp
Unfriendly and racist restaurant, If I can give this restaurant a zero star I would. I arrived to the blue Buddha at 7:30pm, waited in line for like 10 minutes. A party of 7 people were ahead of me, they let them in and seated, I asked the host if I can be seated for two only, he looks at me and say we don't take people anymore, we are closed. I understand they don't take people if I would to arrive there late, closing hour 9:00PM, but I was there at 7:30PM, a party of 7 right in front me just got seated. My recommendation to however visiting page or live here to go elsewhere and don't waste your time and money at this racist place.

Wolfy H.

Yelp
The restaurant was clean and I had hopes of eating good sushi in the middle of the desert although I was leery. The fish was very mushy and not fresh tasting at all... everything was a bit bland as well - especially for the price it was disappointing. The guy rolling the sushi had a group of friends at the sushi bar and at the table next to us. They were throwing their dirty hats back and forth (including over the sushi bar) and the language was loud and inappropriate for a restaurant at this price.

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Ordered take out. Warned by staff that take out orders more than $30 incur automatic gratuity. This is a first. Of note, none of the sushi chef is Asian. Enough said. Jalapeño poppers with sprinkles of spicy tuna is ok at best. One ramen option was available...chicken. Few pieces of bland grill marked chicken floated with 2 pieces of asianesque mushrooms, plain hard boiled egg and top ramen grade ramen...for a pricy $13....best to order McDonalds instead, at least you know you are getting your money worth. (Written by husband)

Morgen D.

Yelp
The sushi was great as well as the drinks. I loved the atmosphere & customer service! Highly recommend!

Michaela R.

Yelp
This is the first restaurant we went after our Antelope Canyon and Horshoe Bend your. The sushis are not bad. I had spider roll and it was good but not the best. Lone Rock Roll (raw) is what my husband got and he liked it. Our friends got tempura roll and bull frog roll. They said they're good and they had a second round. On the entree we ordered seared tuna and noodle bowl with check and veggies. For the tuna, I did not like it as it was a little raw and I thought it's a whole fish or big slice of tuna but it turns out to be small slices of half cooked tuna. My husband loves it though and he said that's how it should be served and he very much enjoyed it. That plate is pricey for me. It's $29 and it's more than the price of a good steak tuna that I had in a different restaurant for only a $14. Another order is the noodle bowl with chicken topping. The chicken is bland and dry. You need to make sure you mix the sauce they had served to enjoy it. The sauce is spicy and sweet but I just did not like it. My husband said it was ok for him. The veggies in the enttee plates are so pepperi that I did not get to finish them. Some people might like it though the same way as my husband did but this is me saying "I have a different choice of food and I can't take it against the restaurant of course as i expected a different thing". We ordered shrimp tempura as well and it's not bad but the sauce is not the usual sauce for shrimp tempura. What they had was the sweet and spicy sauce. By the way, just a tip if you need a nice booth to sit with friends, you should call and reserve because walk ins only get the sushi tables in the front.

Varad B.

Yelp
Awesome sushi!! Excellent service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Place has a very good vibe.

Nika S.

Yelp
Here from San Diego and Burny took such good care of us! Didn't know what I wanted but I sat at the bar with my friend and he picked a few local favorites recommended a great beer and overall such a sweet guy so happy to be served by someone who knows his fish and prepared our rolls so elegantly! Highly recommend!! @neeks93 on insta

Pranjali S.

Yelp
Pretty good food! Wouldn't have expected good sushi and mouthing melting poppers in Page, but there you go. Found it! Please check out if in Page and love sushi

Hye Young P.

Yelp
1. Got grossed out by the Hamachi Kama Collar (aka yellowtail neck) entree! We were surprised that the hamachi kama came out as fried. As we cut it open, blood was bleeding and the meat was definitely not cooked through completely. As we notified our server, Lindsey, she said that hamachi kama is purposely undercooked to be raw. Eww!!! Honey, you're trying to food poison your customers! This is not a piece of steak or tuna that you can cook to medium rare! It's fish neck! Who dares to eat undercooked fish neck? Not me! 2. Lindsey (the server) isn't suited for the hospitality service We understand she was busy and wasn't as attentive as we wished. But she slapped the check onto the table without saying anything. Fine! As we exit the restaurant, she passed by us without saying thank you/ have a good evening/ come visit again. This is unacceptable! How can you treat your customers like that? Yes, we are tourists. We even tipped you for the lack of service and poor food. 3. Sushi roll was alright sauce was too salty. We came into the restaurant knowing that it wasn't authentic, but the food and service were just not up to par at all!

Janelle D.

Yelp
Wow. I wish we had one of these in Cali. I was skeptical, at first, because I only saw 3.5 stars. We were craving sushi and our abnb host said they had "amazing sushi", so I took a look at the menu, and decided to take a gamble. Looks like they also have one in big sky, and big sky has great food, so was just hoping this was going to work out. And boy did it! Couldn't have been happier! We have some really great sushi in CA, and this place is right there at the top. We absolutely loved the hamachi belly and would have loved to order salmon belly as well, but they ran out, so that must be good too. We also loved loved the D Rope and the wake surfer roll, super delicious. Couldn't resist ordering the yum yum bombs (never had anything like it before) and those wonderful little balls of happiness pushed our amazing meal right over the top! Disappointed I didn't take any pics to share because we were too busy eating! Oh and last, but certainly not least, the staff were so so nice! Thank you blue Buddha for a fabulous dinner. That just made our one night in page extra super worth it!

Joel W.

Yelp
There are some restaurants in Page that feel like they cater to tourists "get em in and get em out" with food that is sub par... Blue Buddha is not that kind of place. Their sushi is surprisingly really good, service is exceptional, the rolls are unique and the prices even more surprisingly fair (considering the extra cost I'm sure they have to pay to import sushi grade fish to such a small town). Our family is from Denver and SoCal and Blue Buddha is as good as our favorite sushi restaurants at home. It's great to see a sushi restaurant strive to do what they do with such excellence when frankly they don't have to considering there is no other sushi competitors in town. We usually get the chefs choice sushi and chefs choice sashimi and haven't been disappointed yet with the selections. The weekend at bernies roll is really good and is my go to when ordering al a carte. And I almost forgot, best happy hour in town. Sake carafe's and draft beers are $2.50, and there's a chefs choice roll for $5. Needless to say, this is the #1 restaurant we bring out of town friends and family. You simply can't beat it.

Ruchi K.

Yelp
HORRIBLE SUSHI. THE seaweed wrap was so stale that all of us chocked on it. The fish is definitely old and the place itself is quite dirty

Izzy G.

Yelp
The Blue Buddha opened recently for take out orders only due to Covid. I ordered the Volcano Roll and the Twist Roll. The volcano roll looked awesome, but was surprisingly very bland. The twist was actually decent. I'd like to eventually try a whole dining experience here. The food had potential, just lacking more flavor. People say great things about it, I just thought it was very average. The one big downside about my food... It smelled a little fishy. I wondered if I got some older stock.

Chalita P.

Yelp
Happy hour sushi - best deal ever. Though they don't tell you about this deal and give you the happy hour menu until you ask. A typical plate would cost 10-13 dollars and this is 50% off for about 8 pieces per plate. Eat around 5-6pm and you can get this deal. We got 2 shrimp tempura, 2 AZ rolls, 1 down river roll, 1 chefs choice, 1 edamame. The edamame had a small kick to it and I liked that. The rolls are great as well, however the more I ate the more they all taste the same. chicken teriyaki - skip this one. It's like a bad Americanized attempt at chicken teriyaki. I do appreciate that they put the sauce to the side and layered a tiny bit on the chicken and vegetables but something like this should be cooked thoroughly...if any of you tried sarku's chicken teriyaki it should be like that. You get a miso soup with this order as well. Yum yum bombs - pretty good. Your standard fried Oreos with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Green tea ice cream - wow! And that's not a good wow. This hardly tasted like green tea ice cream. There's barely any green tea, more like vanilla. If you like this one, you're missing out on how green tea ice cream should taste like.

Yelp
Such a neat place. This is a hole in the wall down an alley, which opens up to an underground restaurant with an eclectic flare! The ambience is date and family friendly amidst a modern-Asian theme with hip music. You could easily miss this one if you don't use your resources to find it! The food is delicious and adjusted to local taste buds. The customer service is great, even when there may be a miscommunication....they go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Our family had a spread of food, including sashimi (our favorite).

Yelp
Party of two and we waited more than 30mins. The gal handed us water but didn't offer anything else. The place wasn't that busy. Noticed the gal pacing to see if anyone would come by to take our order. So my daughter and I left. I was really hoping for some good dinner but service was horrible. Oh and two groups of ppl came in after us and they were served almost immediately. SMH. Must of been my pregnant belly that kept the servers away. Idk but I've been coming to this restaurant a fewtimes in the past and not once did I experience this in the past.

Yelp
Rolls and ramen were so-so. It's one of those 3.5 star places. The environment was kinda fun, not really authentic Japanese food though. The mussels were really good and I would recommend!!
