Blue Corn Tacos

I recently had the chance to try blue corn tacos for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised! The tortillas had a slightly sweet and nutty flavor that really complemented the toppings. I had mine with grilled chicken, black beans, and a spicy salsa. It was delicious! If you're looking for a unique and flavorful taco experience, I highly recommend giving blue corn tacos a try. José catered an event at our farm and it was exceptional! The food was great quality, communicating with José was really easy as well. He was on time to drop the food off, and then came back to pick up the containers and serving trays. We had the burrito bar with chicken and a veggie option. It was really tasty, and the blue corn chips were awesome. We had great feedback from our guests on the quality. We will definitely use them again!

I have been here countless times in the past two year and this is easily my favorite taco spot in Longmont. Their food is fresh and flavorful and I will always recommend it to a friend!

Our fav taco shop is just down the road at Marco's tacos, so had to check this place out after a recommendation. Friendly staff and clean place. We tried the blue corn chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were really delicious and cooked to perfection. They are a thicker chip and you can tell they are made in house plus salsa had a great taste. The street tacos on the other hand were not worth the money. I did 2 asada and 2 Al pastor. The meat was so overcooked it was hard to eat the tacos, plus they had no taste at all. I have never left a taco on my plate ever and I could not finish these dry tacos at all. I drank so much water trying to get them down. I'll pass and stick to my go to taco place.

Definitely not the best or values taco I’ve ever had but they are overall pretty good. I had three specialty tacos and they are very filling. I do see the concern others have expressed with overcooking the meat—it was only an issue for me with the pastor. I would definitely like my pork to be more tender but it’s nowhere near inedible or flavorless. The chicken mole was also very good. And the shrimp on the other taco was also really well-cooked. The guy at the counter is very friendly and we had a great lunch. Not worth a 5/5 for the taste or value. But worth visiting.

2nd time I went there and the 1st time was yesterday! Had there tacos the mole and the beer battered fish. Got a churo which had a good filling and drizzled with Carmel both were very delicious So much so I went back again to try the chicken fajita burrito asked for it hot 🔥. Yet again was delicious the heat was good, not sure if it was the Chile or the hot sauce on the side. Also got a chips and guacamole side and there guacamole was good, blue chips were good as well.

The blue corn tortillas are good, I got two tacos and my friend got a quesadilla, the tacos were about $5 each, they were tasty and they were good sized, but I feel like $5 is pushing it. The quesadilla was $8, just a little bit of cheese between two tortillas. The place has kind of a taco bar feel to it, but it's lacking some of the essentials that would make the experience worthwhile. A salsa bar would absolutely enhance the experience, but no pepper or pico was available, the waitress asked what kind of salsa we wanted and brought us each one small ramakin. Overall a pretty good experience, but the prices could come down a bit.

I'm sorry. This place has absolutely no business being this perfect and delicious. The carne asada blue corn taco packed so much flavor and yet I could still taste every component separately. The blue corn chips are fried perfectly and this place has Beautiful Queso Dip. The house made salsa is also perfect. I am pleased.

What a rip off. I'm very confused at how this place has the reviews it has. Have you all had good tacos before? This just isn't it. There's a street taco truck almost across the street that is better - not 5 stars, but WAY better than this. We each had two 6 inch tacos. Each taco was $5 down the drain. We each had one taco de pastor and one de carne asada. Neither of the meats were tender, seasoned, or cooked well. The tacos were FILLED with mushy rice and topped with a little meat, onions, cilantro, grilled onion, grilled bell pepper, & (a small dallop of guacamole on the carne asada taco). There was also nothing special about the blue corn tortilla.

In Colorado for my daughter's softball tournament and this was a convenient place to grab a bite in between games. Fast casual ambiance, friendly service and food was solid. I ordered a battered fish taco, which was one of their special style tacos. Those tacos come with rice and beans on the taco. I also got a chicken street taco and an order of queso and guacamole. Those items was slightly over $20. I thought a little pricy. The tacos were solid, not phenomenal but decent . The blue corn chips were outstanding and taste of fresh and homemade, and were thicker than your average chip which I personally like. Queso had peppers in it with a mild spice while the guac was tasty. They were pretty busy and my food came out relatively quickly and everybody was very polite. Overall, a solid restaurant with good food.

Located in an unassuming strip mall, one might not have high expectations, but this place is super clean, spacious, and bright. The owner is very friendly, and when we didn't know what to order, he made helpful suggestions which were on point! We ate there twice in two days while in the area, so that's gotta say something! Our first visit included various tacos including the poblano taco, carne asada taco, chips and queso. The next day included a smothered burrito, shrimp fajita taco and more chips plus guacamole. The blue corn chips were a nice change from the normal tortilla chips, and they had just the right amount of salt. The queso was flavorful and not too gooey or too thick. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. Pay at the counter and food is brought to your table. Just the nicest friendliest family and I love supporting small business. Bus your own tables if you like. This is our go to tie tacos now!

4.7 stars? nah. not when you put rice in your tacos to make them look full. put more meat. ya know.... make the tacos worth what you charge for them. so so so disappointed.

We came down to Longmont on a chilly Monday preparing to grab some tacos to go and hit up a brewery. Turns out all the breweries are closed until at least 3pm, so we decided to grab a seat instead. It's an order-at-the-counter place with an expansive menu of traditional street tacos, burritos and home specialty tacos. I was feeling the sea this day, so I chose the fajita shrimp and the beer batter fish tacos from the specialty menu. My husband got one of every kind of street taco - Asada, pastor, carnitas, pollo and barbacoa. Both of us selected the blue corn tortilla option because if it's in the name, it's gotta be done! I loved both of my tacos, although I was surprised to find that the bed of Spanish rice was wrapped inside the taco instead of underneath. The pan fried onions and jalapeños were still nice and crisp, but somehow caramelized, and the rice was flavorful as well. The tortillas held together really well and were generously stuffed with the proteins. My husband enjoyed all of his tacos as well, with the barbacoa being his favorite. We also grabbed a horchata since the beer/margaritas aren't available there and enjoyed a leisurely lunch before we sauntered over to an open brewery!

!!!! It's been so long since I've had decent tacos and I found it. No frills but they've got the flavor, quality ingredients, and a tortilla that doesn't fall apart. Food: -Beer batter fish and shrimp: Batter is crispy and not too oily. Pickled veg balances the savory and makes it refreshing despite the mayo sauce. The avocado sauce is yum. -Pastor: Pork is juicy and well flavored. Pineapple adds a nice citrus undertone. Service: Quick and polite. You order and pay at the register. Space: Casual and clean. Lots of seating.

+ breakfast burrito Ordered via food delivery service so afraid I can't speak to service or ambiance here. However, I spent $10 total for a handheld burrito including tip. So, it wasn't bad considering the level of convenience I needed lol. Okay- down to food. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with no cheese. A few bites in so far no cheese! I must admit it was a chicken burrito unless the bits of bacon are that small? Or maybe it's at the bottom you know how that goes. All in all though it's a really delicious burrito salsa verde? A moderate mild spice, chicken and potatoes (bite sized) cooked thoroughly not tough/raw. Would def patron this place again - will try in person :)

Old solid 3.5 stars for me Decent tacos, I lived all over the southwest and still have property down in Arizona so I'm a little bias to most places. What got me here even though there were multiple attempts over the year or so being in the area when they are closed. Love the fact they have blue corn. It's something I love when I'm in NM everything for me is blue corn. Street tacos which are ok but can upgrade 10cent or something more for blue corn sure. Only disappointment was i wanted the chicharron said rice and beans was thinking a small plate but no its a taco with rice and bean inside. Flavor wise was a little lacking to me for what the price was. Street tacos were better option to me. Meats are also pre-made and kept in warmer so little on the drier side. Ample seating inside, back and outside. Bathrooms out to side door with code as its shared. Service and staff upfront were friendly and helpful.

The chile relleños burritos are 10-star burritos and we really enjoy the clean tables, and the family run service is excellent. To be fair I've never tried anything else on the menu (because I love the chile relleños burritos), but I would trust anything else would be just as excellent.

The blue corn tortillas were delicious and had a great texture! Fillings (both "standard" street taco fare and the more interesting ones i.e. chile rellenos) were excellent. The mole was spicy and flavorful. This place is a gem!

The food is still fantastic but the customer service is absolutely horrible and makes me never wanting to go back. I order the same thing since they opened and the last year it's impossible to my order correct. The girl always says oh you can't change anything on the menu! I just want potato's in my burrito! She's constantly forgetting parts of your order then it's virtually impossible to even get a fork. If you ask for the door code she looks incredibly annoyed and then covers the last number with her fingers then gets even more annoyed when you ask what the number is. It's just not worth the hassle

On a cold and snowy day we stopped in for a quick lunch. Very glad we did. We ordered from the Tacos Acorzados Home Speciality menu. We both had a Chile relleno taco and a Pastor taco. They were huge and very filling since there is a layer of rice under the relleno or pastor. Also it seemed like the tortilla was larger. I liked the grilled onions that came on the side. Also we got a couple of salsas, one mild and one medium. We didn't try the hotter one he offered but will next time. Perfect lunch.

Probably the only place in Colorado where I've seen blue corn tacos. The carne asada street tacos and mole pollo specialty tacos were both fantastic. I'd definitely come back to try their other offerings.

Dang, the street tacos, blue corn tortillas, were phenomenal! The salsa is equally delic. Highly recom the Pastor and Barbacoa style Mexican street tacos. Wish I had more room in my tummy for more! Clean, open kitchen, outdoor tables (although Main St is quite noisy), simple, fresh and quality eats. PS: love the entire family working here from grandma to teens. Super authentic

Glad we stopped into Blue Corn Tacos. Wife had the Chile relleno which she absolutely loved. I had mole tacos and a chicharrón taco both extremely awesome. Owner was super nice and attentive truly a awesome spot. Highly recommended!

This is the best Mexican food in the town of Longmont, I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all have been outstanding. The customer service is great extremely friendly and helpful. The place is really nice you can't go wrong either the Chile relleno taco or a breakfast burrito in the morning.

Blue Corn Tacos is my favorite taqueria in Longmont. Fast, fresh and high-quality food paired with friendly service. I'm partial to their Mexican street tacos with an order of chips & guacamole. Fresh and delicious. Dining in, the restaurant has large windows (lots of light) and is clean. Blue Corn offers horchata and Jamaica aqua Fresca. A gem tucked in a small strip mall on Main Street. Give it a try!

In my opinion this is The Best Authentic Mexican food in town, this is coming from a Southern Californian.

During this pandemic, how a restaurant handles takeout is just as important as the taste of the food. Blue Corn Tacos scored 5 stars on both in my book. The online ordering was simple, and there was no online ordering charge. Sent an email and texted me right away with a receipt and time my order will be ready. I had the Mole Con Pollo Taco and Chile Relleno Taco. The Mole was one of the best I have in Colorado. The chocolate came through really nice. The Relleno was not greasy with a tasty sauce and lots of cheese on top. Both tortillas also held up well in the takeout box. Blue Corn Tacos is the best Mexican restaurant in Longmont.

Food was extremely good! We tried the Blue Corn Al Pastor tacos with piña and it has been my favorite ever since! Highly recommend this place, very delicious!! We ordered another round of tacos because we loved them so much!

This is a SOLID PLACE to eat. We were on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park and needed to get some food. We searched yelp to find a good Mexican place and Blue Corn came up. So glad that we were able to find and experience it. It's a very small location but the food is pretty epic. Started off with the chips and guacamole. I thought it had really good flavor. My wife had the Carne Asada Taco which she loved. I had the Carnitas Burrito and was not disappointed. Good flavor in everything that we had. I would recommend stopping by and having a bite.

I've patronized Blue Corn since they opened. There is a plethora of taco shop/trucks in Longmont so for them to survive this long is a testament to the quality of the food. Everything I've tried was nicely prepared and was kind to the eye. Everyone there is friendly, helpful and they get the food out quickly. Blue Corn is definitely worth a try.

5 stars because the tacos are BOMB!!! You won't be sorry giving this place a shot! My husband, son and I visited here for the first time today and he got 3 tacos - Asada, Pastor and Chili relleno and I got the Asada burrito with green chili on the side. To be honest I'll definitely go back but I'll get the tacos instead! The burrito was ok but not near as good. The tacos had So much flavor!!! We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures of our first order so I only have a pic of the Pastor Taco I ordered later! But mmmmmm so so good!

Blue Corn Tacos is one of my favorite quick bites in Longmont. The prices are excellent, food is available fast and fresh, and the interior is clean and quiet. The chicken chimichanga is a favorite, and breakfast burritos for under $5 hit the spot for to go orders. I really hope they do well and maybe even leads to a full service restaurant or more locations if that's their goal.

This place is fantastic. The blue corn tacos have a great texture and durability to hold up to any toppings you choose and the flavors and bountiful. This is a wonderful local special will treat you right everytime. The food is even great when you have to take it to go. Mushroom Mole Tacos are my go to and have such a rich depth of flavor it will leave you satiated after every bite to include the last one.

This place is so so good I don't know how I missed it even after being in Longmont for more than a year. Have been here few times and I highly recommend this place for Mexican food lovers.

Excellent food. Fast efficient. Bowls are great. Blue Corn tacos are substantial with rice and beans included inside taco. Definitely a favorite for us.

REALLY good fish tacos! They have specialty tacos that are bigger and overflowing with fillings like rice and peppers and slaw and also have the smaller street taco options. The service was very friendly and the place was clean and bright. I'll absolutely make an effort to get back here.

What can I say? The food is awesome. And even someone who is gluten-free can find something great to eat. My absolute favorite Mexican food place.
