The owner of this place is mentally unstable and I would recommend anyone to stay clear of this place! I accidentally backed into his driveway for 5 minutes, as I was picking up someone next door. He came running at us and refused to get out of the way. He asked for €50 and wouldn’t let us leave otherwise. I apologized since I’m not from Ireland, it took two people and dialing 999 to get him to move. He illegally imprisoned us, put his full weight on my bumper and gave a very hostile attitude. Like other reviews already state, this person isn’t reasonable. He might have his reasons for this, but that is no excuse to ventilate this on innocent people. Edit: Based on the owner’s response we can clearly read that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself. I’d highly suggest to read other reviews on all available platforms, many similar experiences to mine. I personally wouldn’t stay here, the owner has issues communicating. It’s his opinion or he will harass and threaten someone. The discriminatory comments made about Eastern European citizens by the owner still leave a mental impact to this day…

This is a cozy and charming B&B on the west side of Cork City. It is on a main road with parking by the front door.||The breakfast is wonderful, get the full Irish. We had it three days in a row and never tired of it. There is a comfortable sitting room off the breakfast room.||The rooms are small, the bed virtually filled mine. But you are not here to sit in a bedroom, right? Spend your time all over Cork having fun.||The owners do not live in the B&B, so you must let them know when you will arrive or you will not be able to check in. We called a couple of hours ahead ||The B&B is a 15 minute walk from downtown, perhaps 25 minutes fast walk from the train station. Taxi is available using MyTaxi app, which you should get if travelling anywhere in Ireland.

We stayed at the Blue Dolphin for four nights while in Cork, and I have to say Francis and Sean are the two nicest people you could ever meet! The bed was very comfortable. The room can use an update, but over all I think the whole place was very charming! Breakfast was great, and they were all but happy to accomadate special requests. They were happy to give suggestions on were to eat, give directions and even help you back out of the driveway! If we are ever in Cork again, I would stay here just to stay with them again.

Everything about our stay was great. Called them to make reservations and they were able to get us a wonderful double room at a great price. The place was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the hosts were charming and eager to assist us to ensure we had a great stay. The location was nice, just a short walk to city center and close to wonderful walking trails. It's not fancy, but it was perfect. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed for four nights in the Blue Dolphin House B and B. The room was very comfortable with en-suite, t.v, kettle and tea/coffee facilities. It was evident the owners enjoyed the guests, knowing each persons name and checking if breakfast was suitable every morning. There is parking available to the rear of the building.

Nice house, decorated with love and many antiquities. The full Irish breakfast was very good. Don't enter into political discussions with the owner, however - unless you're a British royalist, too ...

Perfect B&B for us! We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in Cork. The owners were lovely and made us a delicious breakfast (to order) every morning! We had our own key, so we could come and go as we pleased!

We , I myself and one of my friend lived in this B & B for 2 nights. It was good experience to stay. Hosts are warm and welcoming and very helpful.It is in prime location of western road facing UCC. Breakfast was good too.If your staying for long,have a word with host and they might give you discount if you are lucky.
