For $50 a night, we had a very comfortable bed, a nice shower, and a beautiful view - the accommodations were honestly much more comfortable than I had expected. No AC, but with fans, the temperature was pleasant in the evening. The room we stayed in was at the top of a very steep hill, which I mention in case you have mobility issues. The only other downside if privacy is a concern, is that depending on your room position, you could regularly have other visitors walking past your room, and you'll mostly want to be keeping the doors/curtains open due to the heat.
The staff were all very friendly and able to support a multilingual clientele. The hotel is not right on the beach, so it was very nice that Nicola and the instructors provide transportation to and from. Our kiting instructor, Fred, was so wonderful and exceptionally patient with us as true beginners. As a woman who is not very athletic, I was honestly really intimidated to try this sport, but I had a great time. We took lessons as a couple and after 3 days of 3 hours lessons, we were able to attempt the water start. Our progress was slow, but Fred was always encouraging and able to give concrete feedback without us feeling embarrassed. Learning the kite control and body dragging was fun in and of itself!
