Pleasant little hotel with clean air conditioned rooms and friendly staff - a great place to stay when kitesurfing Playa Copal or just passing through. Tasty meals and drinks at the onsite cafe.

Amazing view, amazing food, and amazing staff! The only drawback is no A/C for me. Best food I had while in Costa Rica, owner and wife are Italian and Coast Rican and it blends well. A bright spot in a disaster of a trip! If you don't have a car it's hard to do much unless you are kiteboarding.

Great location, food with fun and friendly service. All of the team members I met were kind and helpful. This location offers great value. Parking is included. Great spot for a kiteboarding vacation and also helpful for those learning. Also a market nearby if you want to purchase other items but the hotel has what you need. Fresh meals daily at a fee. Room quality is high, pay the extra for AC if you need it. Great views of the bay.

Spent 9 days at this hotel. The food was affordable in comparison to the surrounding area and very good. Excellent staff and very friendly. Some on the best beaches within 10 minute drive. Bungalows are fantastic for price. Remember this is ment to be affordable so don't expect much sound insulation from the room next to you, if that is what your looking for then other suites may be better. I traveled with 3 kids and they always felt safe and welcomed. We even got to see wild monkeys one day outside the balcony.

For $50 a night, we had a very comfortable bed, a nice shower, and a beautiful view - the accommodations were honestly much more comfortable than I had expected. No AC, but with fans, the temperature was pleasant in the evening. The room we stayed in was at the top of a very steep hill, which I mention in case you have mobility issues. The only other downside if privacy is a concern, is that depending on your room position, you could regularly have other visitors walking past your room, and you'll mostly want to be keeping the doors/curtains open due to the heat. The staff were all very friendly and able to support a multilingual clientele. The hotel is not right on the beach, so it was very nice that Nicola and the instructors provide transportation to and from. Our kiting instructor, Fred, was so wonderful and exceptionally patient with us as true beginners. As a woman who is not very athletic, I was honestly really intimidated to try this sport, but I had a great time. We took lessons as a couple and after 3 days of 3 hours lessons, we were able to attempt the water start. Our progress was slow, but Fred was always encouraging and able to give concrete feedback without us feeling embarrassed. Learning the kite control and body dragging was fun in and of itself!

We stayed here for a month in Nov. Awesome, we loved the people and the scene. Everyone is so friendly. Took kiting and wing lessons. The instructors were great. They had a fabulous cook during the time we were here, so we hardly ate any where else, but they will also give you recommendations to the best places around. The only downside I can think of is that there is really nothing close by except the beaches. So if you don't have a vehicle it is a bit more of a challenge to get around. Looking forward to our next trip here.

This is the place to stay if you're serious about kiteboarding. If you're still taking lessons then maybe the other places are good too, but if you want to kite at the best spot on the beach - upwind, easy launch + land at any tide, laze in the shade in hammocks, gear shuttles, rentals etc, then Blue Dreams is your spot. Don't worry about coming here alone, if you're a kiter you'll be welcomed into the group. I'll be back. Edit: I did come back in 2025. It's still great!

Lovely hotel with private cabins. Really kind owners. I like how kind they are to animals too. Great water pressure in shower, excellent WiFi. Really recommend this chilled out spot as a place to stay. Great places to eat around here too. The owners gave us super recommendations.
