If you want the most incredible & genuinely unique fine dining & hunting experience... go to Blue Duck Station. Went here for our wedding Anno. Where else can you get 5 ⭐️ food with hunting at the same time. There's also kayaking, jet boating hiking etc etc pending your preferences! 100/10 we WILL go again. You can find me on social catching & cooking everything searching "Fish Eat Repeat"

Stopped here a few days ago for a bite to eat whilst riding the Mountains to Sea route from National Park. My husband and I both had the lasagne, which was a great portion and very yummy. Nicely washed down with great coffee. No room for anything else, so we took brownies and cookies 'to go'. These were great treats over the next few days. Very friendly and helpful staff. A must stop if you are heading this way. Thank you 😊.

From a European point of view, blue duck station is located in the middle of nowhere. If you like silence, loneliness, paired with the option of activities like hiking, biking, riding or kayaking, for example, you will enjoy it very much! There’s a coziness feeling given by the whole blue duck team. You can see and feel a lot of untouched nature. The waterfalls are only a one hour walk away, and if you open up your eyes, you will also find the way to the waterfall ”canyon”. If you book guided tour, you were also able to use a kayak to ride in the waterfall lake and if you are such a lucky guy as I am, you can also see a couple of blue ducks. If you want the special experience you’re also able to reserve a table for a fine dine dinner at the mountain top restaurant from blue duck station..

Fabulous few days with Mel & Eve, Dan & Blue, Ken & Alex - stayed at Blue Duck Lodge and River Lodge and loved the accommo and meals. Walking was a grind for us oldies on day one but routes were easily sorted by the very capable Mel. Bit of rain second day but 7 ks in the lads picked us up in a 4 wheel drive buggy and took us to the Chefs Table to get out of the weather. Totally fantastic views which were the highlight of the trip. We loved our stay and can only highly recommend to others.

Fantastic experience we had staying at Blue Duck as part of a G-Adventures tour group. Activities were really enjoyable and staff were great. Highly recommend the kayaking on the Whanganui river and then we got jet boat back - with plenty of 360 turns. Some good jumping/diving spots at the camp you get collected from too.

Wonderful “serene” place. Great activities and accommodation. The cherry on top of the cake was Chef’s Table. A fine dining experience on top of the hills with beautiful views.

Nice location but the lady at the cafe could be a bit more friendly. Just to let you feel more welcome

Great lodge accommodation with comfortable beds and a shared kitchen. Just a bit over priced, seems like they are trying a bit too hard to justify the cost.
