Blue Fern Bed and Breakfast

After browsing for years. We found the Blue Fern right about 2 years ago. And knew this was where we wanted to get married. On Saturday 3/30 @3:30 after 9 years together to the day. We finally made the next step into Forever! And we did it at the Blue Fern! 💙 David and Monica helped to make our 2 night stay and our elopement Magical. Thank you so much for caring about your guests like you do! 🥰 Seeing Monica Light up when she asks about how your room is or how everything was. When you tell her it's wonderful... The pure joy and excitement that she shows for what she does is Heart Warming. We had an amazing stay and wish we would be able to celebrate an anniversary there someday. But this wonderful B&B is for sale. I truly hope someone who cares about this beautiful and Historic home takes over an can continue the same level of passion and love that is given currently. We loved staying at the Blue Fern Bed & Breakfast. Monica was an excellent hostess on every level!! Monica made sure that our stay was exceptional!! She provided maps, tips, and wonderful breakfasts!! The house is beautifully decorated!! We had use of a lovely sun room, porch, deck and all. The town of Tahlequah in itself is great with excellent restaurants & other amenities!!

My husband and I share a birthday, so we always try to do something special. We are native Oklahomans, but had never travelled to Tahlequah, the Cherokee capital. I found this B&B on a travel site- when I called to make a reservation, I never dreamt that I would get two separate tests, prior to our visit- one asking if we wanted to set up a massage and another asking if we'd like to see a local Tahlequah Community Dinner Theatre. Yes to both!! The play was exceptional; we met some great folks at the same table. Our massage was superb. Monica, the host at the Blue Fern is a treasure. Her breakfasts were out of this world and she had a lot of suggestions for things to do. Our room was spacious, the garden and porch of the house were beautiful and worthy of spending time with a good book. Definitely would travel there again.

We had a great time. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and Monica was a gracious host. We also had fun walking around town and looking through the stores. We will definitely be returning to Blue Fern the next time we are in the area.

My husband and I got married in 2016 and picked this bed and breakfast as our little honeymoon getaway. Every year since, we have come back to celebrate our special day with this special place. Monica runs the B&B and does a simply wonderful job. She goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied and caters to the needs of everyone. She is eager to help and provide suggestions for what to do or where to eat and she always ensures 100% customer satisfaction. My husband and I plan to continue our new tradition each and every year because of how wonderful Monica is! The home itself is the finest in Tahlequah if I do say so myself and Monica ensures everything is well kept and perfectly clean. The attention to detail and pleasant environment make this such a joyous place to stay. The home is covered inside and out with historic charm and delicious breakfasts prepared by Monica. The rooms are all decorated with beautiful antique fixtures and gorgeous bedding. The beds themselves are very comfortable and cozy. The restrooms are very clean and perfect for typical use. It is nice to sit on the balcony or porch swing and listen to the birds chirp while sipping tea or coffee. We also love the fireplaces and television amenities when we are trying to unwind. I would love to write a bad critique in order to keep this hidden gem to ourselves but I wouldn't dream of it! If you haven't stayed here, please do so as you will thoroughly enjoy the best stay there is in Tahlequah!

The Blue Fern provided an exceptional experience for my wife and I! Everything from the house and grounds to the room and our hostess was wonderful. Monica met us at the door (after doing a great job of guiding us to the house by text) and explained the layout and "how to's" of the house. She answered all of our questions about he house and the city while giving us a thorough tour of this beautifully restored historic home. The room was so big and comfortable--even the bathtub had charm!! Breakfast was amazing! I definitely recommend the Blue Fern and would stay again in a heartbeat!

We could not have found a better place to elope! 2 night stay, they took care of all the ceremony arrangements, & provided a Minister. Monica & David were phenomenal & even pronounced my last name PERFECTLY! 10/10. breakfast was amazing! The garden/grounds are right out of a fairy-tale. They cranked down the A/C a few hours before our ceremony so I would not be uncomfortable just because I said I run hot when we arrived & told us where our floors thermostats location. The attention to detail here is impeccable! Private balconies, communal space, excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This year for Mother's Day, I reserved a room at Blue Fern for a Mother/Daughter weekend in Tahlequah. From my initial reservation call w/owner Cordelia (so warm, wonderful and informative) to the hosts, Monica & David (also warm, wonderful and accommodating in every way) my experience at Blue Fern exceeded every expectation. Even more important, my Mom (from Miami, OK) loved it too! Everything at Blue Fern was special - beautiful furnishings, gourmet breakfast, huge wrap around porch and wonderful visits during our stay, it felt like visiting family and we loved it all! I'll always be grateful for our perfect Mother's Day weekend at Blue Fern. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Blue Fern this past weekend in the Little Ann room and am already planning my return. Thank you to Cordelia and Monica for a wonderful experience. The house is absolutely gorgeous and they have thought of everything you could want and need. Monica was so kind and considerate, I feel like I made a friend and am very much looking forward to seeing her again. She also makes the best frittata I have ever had in my entire life. Food was on par as was the coffee! I didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back.

This was my second stay at the Blue Fern (sister B&B to the Blue Feather). FABULOUS. Rooms are nice and roomy. Bathrooms are good. Beds are comfortable. Best if all is the breakfast! The owner is a dream breakfast chef! French toast with what appeared to be homemade whipped cream and blueberries. Fresh squeezed OJ. Lovely scones. Fruit. It was a fabulous breakfast. While the hotel is not in the center of town, it's basically very close.

I would give this Bed & Breakfast 10 stars if Yelp allowed it. The home is beautiful, the gardens are beautiful, the front porch invites you to sit and relax, the rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are nicely decorated, the living and dining areas are warm and inviting, the staff are gracious and welcoming, the breakfast and coffee are delicious. I felt at home here. I travel alone to the Tahlequah area every year as sort of a week-long sabbatical to get away from it all, and the Blue Fern Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place to spend my last night before traveling back to the rat race. I would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast over any others I've stayed in.

What a great place to stay. The accommodations and management were superb. Very kind and courteous as well as knowledgeable of the history of the town. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had our wedding at the Blue Fern and stayed there for a couple of days as well. The house is beautiful and the bed was comfortable. Monica made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Our wedding was small and simple and perfect and the breakfast was very tasty. I've never had baked eggs before and loved them!
