Great food and service. The servers were extremely attentive and friendly, one of the best experiences we have had in a resturaunt. We got the lemon pepper chicken wings, drinks, chocolate pie, pecan pie, chicken tenders, and deviled eggs. Highlights The chicken wings were really a highlight of our visit. Piping hot, crunchy, and not over cooked. The wings were really good, and we would come back just for these. (Picture of wings was taken after people got to them) My son who is 8, had the chicken tenders and chocolate pie. The chicken tenders were lightly breaded and tasty. He rated the chocolate pie 4 out of 5 stars. They have great pie! They have several unique types of drinks. We had 3 house drinks which were good and worth the price of admission. Also, they have one of the best happy hours in the area. If you are looking for a happy hour with unique drinks and food at great prices check it out. Opportunities Dislaimer: I'm fom minnesota, the"deviled eggs" I'm used to, have the yolks mixed with goodies, these did not. These eggs were still tasty, but I would call them pickled eggs instead. Also wings took a while and our drinks took a while, the staff was really great though so it was not a big deal. Summary It's a great place to go! Give it a try, you might get hooked. I'm happy that we did!

It's imperative as a freshly new restaurant to start building clients, It's hard to do that when you don't stick to your posted hours. Sunday at 8:32 we got seated next to a table that just sat down and another four top seated by the bar area because ironically the chairs in the main dining room has been already flipped and the bartender has already cleaned her bar. We asked if it's okay to sit down noticing that they are closing. They said it's okay. Server seemed freshly new and he needed to ask permission for everything that he did, which is okay given that it's a new restaurant. He freaked out about getting a side salad instead of fries for my side. I guess fries it was... The server did inform us that the kitchen has already closed and we are limited to few items on the menu. Now that I'm stuck with literally four options, I went with a burger. Mind you more tables are coming in but at this point they're being turned away at 8:45. I'm not saying a one or two top, we are talking about at least 8 to 10 people. Getting my iced tea and refilling my water was a struggle since they had everything put away. My food was mediocre at best. The bun was extremely buttery. The sauce that comes with my burger was very watery. It hardly sticks on the bun. The space is really nice and inviting and I hope they figure it out soon.

We went on a Monday afternoon for Happy Hour, the restaurant was empty and we were seated right away and put our orders in within a few minutes. Staff were friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. The first thing I noticed, and the inspiration behind my first ever negative google restaurant review, was the wings. Now don’t get me wrong, the wings themselves were actually pretty solid (with the exception of the ranch which was far too watery). There were four wings on the plate, which was $7 during happy hour. On the full menu they advertise one pound of wings, which is typically around 9-10 larger wings, for $14. That means that during happy hour, which by definition implies reduced prices, the wings are actually *more expensive* per serving since you’re getting less than half the wings for half the price. I cannot fathom someone thinking this was a good idea. I took a picture because of how absolutely absurd it was when it was brought out. Not only was this insulting but it’s outright deceitful; had I known the order was going to be four wings for $7 I would have skipped it. The burger was ordered medium and unfortunately was well done, if not slightly past that; it was completely dry. Fries were ordered well done and ironically were actually underdone but were still pretty good. The onion rings were actually pretty tasty but the batter fell apart the second you picked them up which made dipping them very difficult without the batter crumbling and falling all over your plate. There was a pool of oil in the dish of onion rings and the last few at the bottom tasted like they had been sitting in frying oil. I was prepared to give 3 stars towards the end of the meal when we requested the check and our plates were all empty, napkins on plates. However, our server came to our table *four more times* and just left them there. There’s no possibility they didn’t realize that half of our table was covered in dirty dishes and empty glasses (we were seated at a 2-top). It was so immediately uncomfortable that we started to count how many times they came back and left all the plates there. Four. The number of the day I guess. On a positive note, the banana cream pie was delicious and if we go back it will be for the pie.

The place is great looking, the food was very tasty, fast service and happy employees. We had the BLT and the Cheesesteak, both vegan. Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu and when the sports bar area opens.

Artemis our server was hands-down amazing! Some glitches with the kitchen.. but good. Looking forward to trying again. Very happy they had quite a few vegetarian /vegan options.

Google
This place has the location and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food was lacking. Mushroom soup the started with sage gives it a fishy taste and the chicken caesar the dressing reminded us of a cheap mayonnaise base with really dry chicken. We hope it was just an off day…

1st time there with partner. Loved the food, FANTASTIC SERVICE from Grace* 🥹❤️. Keep her there forever she literally offered fantastic suggestions and 10/10 recommendations. Will be back. Enjoy our pics of 1/2 eaten food (1/2 chicken and halibut)

I really enjoyed my meal at Blue Front. I had the meatloaf sandwich, with salad as the side. The meatloaf (and bun) was delicious and the portion was large. The salad was very fresh, and the artichoke dressing was tasty. Will return.

Yelp
Artemis our waitress was a peach but the food was sub par at best. Party of two and they sat us upstairs in the corner at the lone table in the corner. It was a large space with two pool tables and seating at the rail as well but it was just a slim bar table. Needless to say, it was quite a lonely space and the view was impeded by the large wall right in front of us. Taylor (who I assume was a or the manager on duty) came by and asked how we were, we joked that this was VIP seating but she took it a step further and said it was "the bad bitch" table, which really bothered my friend who is a local business owner. Not sure how we were supposed to respond to that but we told her we'd be better suited downstairs. My friend said we should've asked for the manager then but we never did. We already had our drinks by then, it was still happy hour when we arrived, I had a ginger ale and my friend ordered two prickly margaritas which she said were delicious. They moved us downstairs and our apps arrived, the deviled and pickled eggs and the mac and cheese. I'm not a fan of deviled eggs but I tried them both and I can go the rest of my life without another pickled deviled egg. The beets and cauliflower accoutrements were not great either. The mac & cheese lacked flavor, cheese and breadcrumbs can't just be IT! I wasn't impressed by the BLT either, I've had better. Lastly, I ordered the spiced apple pie which was accompanied by vanilla ice cream. I was thoroughly disappointed to discover the pie was cold! Who serves cold pie with ice cream!? It was good but not great, if you're touting the best pies and milkshakes, do better! I know this is just the first week, opening days but after that experience, I can't say I'll be back. Yelp
The three most important words when it comes to Blue Front? Great Happy Hour! I visited for the first time yesterday, and my friend and I enjoyed our cocktails and food very much! We both started with cocktails -- the Bird Calls for her and the Jean Jacket for me -- and I absolutely LOVED mine. It was much like an Old Fashioned, but the addition of apple brandy and spiced pear liqueur made it a sweeter, mellower drink with a hint of autumnal flavors. 10/10, will absolutely order on all future visits. For food, we began with the Deviled and Pickled Eggs plate (the regular, not the HH option where you choose only one type of egg). It was eight egg halves, two each of two types of deviled eggs and two types of pickled eggs. The balsamic vinegar pickled egg was both our favorites; I'd recommend doing the HH option with just that one, honestly. We also got the Chicken Tenders, which were well-seasoned and came with fries and a yummy dipping sauce. We both liked the sauce a lot, and ended up asking for more because we used up the first serving of it so fast! Another standout was the Kale & Arugula salad, which the server helpfully split into two bowls for us when we mentioned we'd be sharing it. It had kale, arugula, tempeh bacon, tomato, crispy onions, avocado, and a delicious artichoke vinaigrette. It would make a great entrée as the full portion, especially during the summer. I definitely plan on getting it again. We finished with a slice of the Bourbon Pecan pie and a Mint Chocolate milkshake. Both were very good, but we agreed the milkshake was the star! It was very thick (spoons worked better than the straw), with a lots of chocolate pieces throughout. The pie slices are very generous -- definitely plan on sharing them! In addition to the good food and drinks, our server, Marley, was wonderful! She was kind and fun, gave good recommendations, and was very on top of everything. The happy hour discounts are very significant -- as much as 50% off many drinks and food options -- and make a pricier spot much more reasonable for a regular night out.

Yelp
Grand opening day! We arrived at 4pm and were seated right away. We ordered drinks and the Kale Arugula salad and the fried okra. The salad was good, it could have been chopped so it was easier to eat. The fried okra was dry so we asked for more remoulade for dipping. Dinner service did not start until 5pm so it was starters. soup, sandwiches and burgers only. We waited and ordered the meatloaf. The meatloaf was served with garlic mashed potatoes. I was expecting a moist and juicy meatloaf but it was dry and the top was well done. The mashed potatoes were great, the best part of the dish. For dessert, we had the apple spice pie and it was very good. Lots of apples and a crumb topping. Service was attentive and quick. We liked the ambiance and we will try again.

Yelp
New restaurant. Still struggling. Kitchen is slow. Open kitchen looks weak. Quiche was tiny. Burger was OK. 5 out of 10. Okra order was small and over priced. Sauce should be served on the side rather than under the order. Service was good. Felt bad because the kitchen makes the servers look bad. Christina was very good. Drinks were good. Work on your kitchen.

Yelp
Came here for my sister's birthday party. We originally made reservations for 12, but then changed twice to 15 and 17. The staff we talked to were insanely flexible and willing to do what was needed to help. It was so appreciated! That being said, there was not a single complaint from anyone in our group. Drinks, dinner, and even dessert were phenomenal! I had the mushroom cheesesteak and loved it! Lots of flavors packed in. They have a house artichoke dressing that I had on my side salad that was fantastic! Upstairs they have pool tables and lots of TV's which I thought was such a fun edition. Different areas for different vibes!

Kali R.

Yelp
There's been substantial capital improvements here. The interior is beautiful and the exterior seating area is delightful in spring weather. Service was prompt and food came out pretty quick. I had the BLT. The seasoned fries on the side were incredible. As for the sandwich - the bacon was really hard to bite through and there were just two, sad, white pieces of lettuce on the sandwich. I was honest when the waitress asked how it was and they comped the BLT. They are still trial-and-erroring the in-house bacon curing process, but I'm sure it will be great once they get it down. My partner had the eggs benedict. They described it as bland, but not bad. The small new potatos served with them were cold, which I found odd. The disparity in quantity between the benedict and the BLT confused me (one is $16, other is $17). I'll likely try this place again in a few months; it's beautiful and in such a great location.

Yelp
Fun spot for a relaxing drink while watching Tucson traffic whiz by. Screens for ballgames. Service was adequate.

Brian M.

Yelp
While some similarities to Ten 55 exist (the previous owner of the space), it has been positively expanded and the staff gives off a fun and 'happy to see you' vibe that is new. Grabbed a high top along Congress Street. Ice cold beer (had a Gose & Amber), clean glasses, great service from Stephen - not rushed but always there with a smile if we needed him. However, the 'money shot' was the Blue Front burger. The burger was perfectly cooked, tomato crisp, lettuce fresh, the bun lightly toasted (A lot of places miss toasting the bun, a simple detail that takes this burger up a notch), the frites crispy and seasoned just right - not too salty. A solid addition to downtown Tucson. Thank you, Blue Front!

Yelp
We came to opening weekend of their brunch menu. The waffle was good but other than that all the food we had, we would not order again. The ice tea wasn't even good so I had to swap it for just a drip coffee. All the potato products were dry and either over cooked or undercooked. The breakfast sandwich was dry and they swapped spinach for arugula with no notification. My boyfriend got the steak and potato dish. The potatoes in this dish were under cooked and the steak tasted like Taco Bell. The only redeeming part of the dish were the onions and mushrooms. The la Maria cocktail was very Michi kid heavy and unbalanced. I would give them 2 stars but the waffle and the fact that it's the first weekend of this menu makes me give them a 3.

Dorothy G.

Yelp
We started off with a side of fries which tasted home cut. The sauce on the side was Tangy. The drinks took a long time to come. Too long. The fried okra was okay but the breading was so thick that you couldn't really taste the okra. The tomato soup with side of grilled cheese was homey in a very pleasant way, but it was not unique. Same goes for the Caesar salad with side of tuna salad. The chocolate chip cookie pie was a bit too thick and difficult to cut because it was very hard. Maybe it would have been better to pick it up and eat it like a cookie. The best thing all evening was the mixed berry pie with side of vanilla ice cream which was delicious.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my birthday tonight, I can't even explain how amazing this experience was from beginning to end. We were a party of 17 (this place is little inside) so it took quite a bit to accommodate us but they did. Food. Drinks. Service. All spectacular. I wish I wrote our servers name ( she had very cute and naturally curly hair!) because she rocked it. Kale salad, salmon, chicken sandwich, and okra were standouts for our group. ALSO do yourself a favor and get some warm pecan pie, you're welcome. Can't wait to go back for happy hour!!

Kendra K.

Yelp
The staff is SO NICE and the restaurant itself is very cute but wowww the salads seriously need some work. I ordered the chicken Caesar and I have to say- it was awful. It arrives at the table looking sloppy, completely soggy and all room temp. The dressing was incredibly fishy and the chicken was clearly rotisserie chicken that had been pulled apart and not checked for bits of fat/skin. Ultimately I couldn't get myself to eat it. It was pretty disgusting unfortunately and I'm disappointed that I was charged over $20 for it. Absolutely would never order it again.

David K.

Yelp
We ate here on the fourth of February, Both the hostess and our waitress were really nice and friendly. I had the BLT and something tasted "off" and I could not figure it out until the end of the meal. I asked the waitress if this was real bacon and she said it was, however, I think she made a mistake. When I went home, I was still thinking about it and I looked at the menu again and noticed there is a vegan option. I think they gave me the housemade tempeh bacon. I really like trying different things and when I saw the "In a Pickle" (cornichon-infused Tito's vodka, pickle brine, Japanese umami bitters) at $16, I thought I would give it a try. The pickle taste is not subtle ladies and gentlemen. It tasted as if someone took a shot of vodka and put it into a pickle jar and then served it. Unless you really love the intense taste of pickles, I would give this a hard pass. The inside looked very clean. I also understand that the place is new and with all establishments, there are always things to work out.

Kim K.

Yelp
Had a great time outside on the patio. Curated wine selection- really liked the Chardonnay. We had the okra appetizer. Good service. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Drew K.

Yelp
Here we go the review for the new kid on the block... I swayed between 3 or 4 stars, I landed on 4, considering they have only been open 5 weeks. First, I'm going to discuss the staff they were all amazing and were on top of it and Taylor the manager who helped us later in our dinner was fantastic, it was clear she enjoyed what she was doing and for who. Next, let's just discuss some of the nuts and bolts they need to figure out. The advertise themself as a fine dinning experience. They are on there way just not yet. The menu lay out is 2/5 it's set up so strange. No, dinner/lunch menu further the starters really were not starters. It was things like french fries, mac and cheese, onion rings. They were more like sides not starters. Next, salads they don't offer any salads as a starter the all treated as main. Next, the mains didn't match what they claim to be offering; I ordered a $50 steak (my husband had a chicken sandwich). The sides they did offer like cottage cheese isn't worth the $6 charge. I would say all the starters and the listed sides were truly sides, some should have up a small upcharge. Finally, they don't put salt/pepper on the table. I initially tried the Mac it tasted bland, but after hunting down waiter and added seasoning it was 4/5. I hate when restaurants believe they do so well patrons won't need it, so the decide to declutter the table. (I'm not saying this what they are doing. However, fine dining restaurants often do this) Let's move on to food. So, we started with Mac and cheese and it was good after seasoning, but this should be a side or a main option with an option to add meat. Next, we ordered a dinner salad and ask them to split up in back, We had avocado salad 5/5. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich, "Nashville hot" it came with fries. Well, it wasn't a Nashville hot which should be dry seasoned unless indicated buffalo. This sandwich was a buffalo sandwich. I'm from this part of the country a easy way to make Midwestern go cross-eyed call your buffalo dip chicken "Nashville Hot Chicken". 2/5 BBQ and Chicken is serious business in that part of country. :) Next, my steak I ordered medR which came with fries. I was surprised they don't typically allow one to change sides, they are all priced the same. However, he made an exception allowed me to change to mashed potato instead of fries. Also, all entrees come with two sides, but not the most expensive item (steak) on the menu. So, my steak came out way over cooked. This is when I met Taylor, she made me another that came out perfect. It tasted great and mash was really good with added seasoning. 4/5 They did give us two shakes for the issues. I had the mint choc chip 5/5 and my husband had Elvis shake 4/5. I had the fresh lime juice 5/5 and my husband had light beer 4/5. I know one may read this and say "hey you gave them 4 stars but you had several issues". Honestly, I see the potential! Once all issues are worked out this could be a top eat for us. They need to start seasoning EVERTHING before it leaves kitchen, based on my experience and others reviews! Once they fix menu, table setting and kitchen kinks worked out, I would happily spend another $120 here. I'm being frank here; because I think new restaurants need to hear it. So, I will be back in coming months in hopes of moving them to 5/5 and not down to 3/5. Finally, the decor was beautiful loved the bathroom set up in today's world it made a lot of sense.

Jina V.

Yelp
Great atmosphere to start, we enjoyed the patio. We waited an unbelievable amount of time for our food, and were not checked in on during the wait. No food was offered in the meantime. One of our party actually got up and went inside to ask for refills on our drinks. As we were walking away from our table to go find food elsewhere, one dish was served, followed by the rest. Pork chops were good, baked potatoes under cooked. Fried chicken was very bland, not seasoned. Good mashed potatoes. After we ate, we again had to seek out our server for the check. During all this, the restaurant was not full but maybe severely short staffed? Won't be back to this one, unfortunately.

Heather S.

Yelp
I was excited to try this restaurant. They had different app and got a few. The pickled deviled egg was not a personal favorite but the Mac and cheese was good and the milkshake was good. Service was okay, gratuity was included but not mentioned so we had to get a refund Cute little vibe. Might go back but it is a drive

Chelsea S.

Yelp
Great food and great service. I highly recommend this place especially for a date night.

Michael Z.

Yelp
Had dinner there on 2/12/23. Great experience. Best part of all, service. We were served by Artemis. What a pleasant young lady. Asked many questions about the menu. She was knowledgeable and well versed. Always with a smile. We got served quickly, as requested. I had the salmon without the sauce, the chef did an amazing job. Food was enjoyed by all. In my humble opinion, a great find. See you next time in Tucson.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Oof. First time coming here and the food was rough. Three of us ordered veggie burgers looking for something lighter. The consistency was like a mashed sweet potato patty without much seasoning or flavor. They added what I think was marinara to it? Never had a veggie burger with marinara sauce before, and it's not listed in the description of the burger. The house pickles have to be made with an apple cider vinegar - there's no complexity to them (no dill or garlic or spice) and they taste like cinnamon/nutmeg. Even the french fries were disappointing with what was like an old bay seasoning with sugar sprinkled on top of them too. I got a spa water to drink which was good, but steep price at $14 or $15 for a pretty basic cocktail drink. Server was sweet and friendly. It was also very brightly lit inside for 8pm dinner, it felt like being inside a cafe for lunch. Half the seating in the restaurant is in a booth that also functions as a dividing wall for the room. There was another group seated on the opposite side of the partition who was loud and kept laughing and slamming their backs into the wall, which then knocked the backs of everyone sitting on our side of the room. I don't think I'd come here again.

Meghana P.

Yelp
To be fair, it's opening week so there's a lot of kinks to work out. Ended up waiting 3 hours for a table after joining the Yelp waitlist when it told us our wait would be 10-25 mins. Cocktails in the meanwhile were good. Food was just ok. Service was extremely slow. Mac and cheese had absolutely no seasoning. Tempeh bacon was good, but majority of my table was underwhelmed given how long we waited.

Sarah N.

Yelp
Had our first experience there on Friday night. We were a walk in party of 5 at 630 and were quoted 60-90 minute wait, which is what we were expecting. Thanks to yelp's waitlist, we headed to a different bar for cocktails while we waited. After ~75 minutes, we returned to the restaurant to check in with the host; they informed us that our table was just being cleaned and we'd be seated momentarily. Once seated, we waited close to ten minutes for someone (not our server) to bring us water and apologize for the wait. Another 5-10 minutes later, our server came to take drink orders. Another 10 minutes later, took our food order, which took another 30-45 minutes to arrive. The food was average; the kitchen was out of 5-6 different items, which we were mostly informed of up front. The fried chicken sandwich was rubbery and cooled (likely from sitting for awhile?). The Kale and Arugula salad didn't have any kale in it. My friend enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich, and the mushroom cheesesteak had excellent flavor. Pros: fun cocktails (especially the "in a pickle"), cool atmosphere. Cons: suspect poor management due to understaffing and kitchen being out of so many items. Would consider going again if we were walking past, but wouldn't wait again for that experience.

Savannah H.

Yelp
5 stars for a great natural wine list, sadly 2.5 stars for the food! We started with the fried okra which was fried properly in cornmeal but needed seasoning pretty badly. I got the mushroom cheesesteak which also needed seasoning badly and barely had any mushrooms on it, it was mostly peppers and onions. The hoagie roll it was on was really good though, and the house made chips were good as well. My partner enjoyed his hot fried chicken sandwich but overall the food felt very expensive for being pretty basic bar fare.

Wanda R.

Yelp
Closed. Doors locked with padlock. Website gave us no clue they were closed and we had reservations. Too bad.

Sharon A.

Yelp
Not very impressed. Super slow service. The food was average. Definitely don't order the fried okra. Highly breaded and greasy. Hopefully they will get better. It had not been opened long.

Tatiana V.

Yelp
This space is super nice especially the bar area it's unfortunate the food is not that great dishes lacked flavor and both my husband and I meals were a miss. On the plus side The service was good and the margarita was delicious! However I don't see myself going back for food.

Michael D.

Yelp
Gave this place four chances - each time was a nightmare. Bad service, horrific food, and very high prices. The food items come out different each time depending on who's working. no consistency at all. Often times they will give you vegan items by mistake. I ordered a burger one and they gave me a veggie burger. I ordered bacon and they gave me vegan bacon. I ordered chicken tenders and they gave us TWO tenders for $14! Servers are extremely confused and manager is always hanging out with the staff and laughing while people wait for service. Sometimes a simple dinner for two will take 2.5 hours to complete while you wait for the server to come by. No one ever asks how the food was or if we need anything. It's probably the worst restaurant experience in town. Can't image this place will be around for long.

Edmund M.

Yelp
Excellent! Had lunch with some buddies here, and really enjoyed it! Had a great salad and a bowl of soup. Then finished with a slice of fresh made pie! A winner!!

George P.

Yelp
Great food and great service. We had a wonderful lime. A bit pricy but still a good place to eat. Enjoyed the decor and the bar was well stocked. Had a great time. Will visit again. Thanks.

Frank W.

Yelp
Great cocktails and tasty food = a good time. Love the painted brick sign and place has friendly staff and decently priced drinks and food - one I go to a few times a month.

M S.

Yelp
Truly the best dining experience I have had in a long time. We had the pork chop and chicken dinner, and it was fantastic! We were told they just started a dinner service, and wow did they knock it out of the park. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Thank you! Everything we had tasted great, from the macaroni appetizer, to our entrees, and the desserts we had. My partner had a slice of banana cream, and it was so good he almost had tears in his eyes! I truly loved our evening at Blue Front. We will be back again :)

Jordan V.

Yelp
Location and setting are fabulous...but oof, this food is rough. I've given this place two chances , once to try the kale arugula salad and the other for the mushroom philly. This may have been one of the sloppiest salads I've had. The menu says heirloom tomatoes but they definitely do not use heirloom, they're just red hot house tomatoes that were past their prime*. The "tempeh bacon" was just crumbled up bits of raw, unseasoned tempeh which was kind of mindblowing. Like straight out of the packaging tempeh. I had all but two tiny strips of the crispy onion and they shouldn't have even advertised the avocado on the salad because I got three TINY little squares, not even close to a quarter of an avocado. The greens (which I should add, was almost entirely arugula with only a few small shreds of kale) also had a lot of stem in it, just a lot of amatuer stuff that should not be considered a $15 salad by any means. When I got my mushroom philly, I was also disappointed to find that it was 90% bread and hardly any mushrooms at all. I had to open the bread just to see if the mushrooms were even in there! Obviously it's bad for how high the prices are, but even aside from that, I wouldn't even order this quality food if it were coming from a cheap diner. *My friend had ordered the tempeh BLT, and similarly, they did not use heirloom tomatoes as advertised and also used raw, unseasoned tempeh. This place has a great location and cute look to it and the staff was friendly, and I really do hate to leave poor reviews for a new business, but I'm hoping that their food will one day be up to par with the atmosphere and pricing.

Anna Marie G.

Yelp
Beautiful place, fun and hip. Lovely waitress. Delicious Bacon. Play pool while you wait for your food

Ruth I.

Yelp
4 of us had dinner there - my meal didn't come out until 20 minutes after the other 3. It was only a chicken sandwich SO??? Food very overpriced for the quality. Don't understand how this restaurant is up for any award.

Carolyn R.

Yelp
They seated our dinner party of eight right by the bar with three big tvs and loud music. People at the bar were just hanging around our table as it was a tight fit. Our waitress was wonderful but the food was pricey for just bar food. Both our orders of onion rings were poorly made. They did remove them from the check but disappointing. No one at our table really enjoyed their meal. They need to decide if it's a bar and price accordingly or change the layout and chef if they want to be a $20 bowl of spaghetti place.

Yelp
We enjoyed our experience at Blue Front. The food was good and our server was excellent. Crystal was very pleasant and efficient.

Yelp
Signed up on wait list a day in advance. Then an hour before requested time, get a yelp message that they turned off the wait list. Called them, and they pretty much said come wait in line. Sorry, won't be frequenting the place.

Yelp
I tried this place with my husband two weeks ago. They ran out of most items on the menu by the time we arrived at 6pm. I even tried to order a salad, and they were out. The staff didn't even come by to ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Our waiter was upstairs cleaning off tables, vs coming to check on us, and when I asked for a check they brought me the wrong on - then brought me one $50 more. The people next to us had a similar experience - we kept just looking at each other like "what is happening?" I expressed when we left how unpleasant of an experience it was. They offered to give me a $50 gift card. Why would I ever want to try and eat there again?

Yelp
My wife and I chose Blue Front to have dinner on a Thurs night. It took an hour to get our food, roasted chicken and meat loaf. Two other couples that were seated after us got their food before us. When the food finally arrived, it was luke warm at best. Any less temp and I would have sent it back. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the vegetables were under cooked and hard. The flavors were good, but you cannot charge a premium price and provide mediocre quality food. For the two of us, we were at $100 for dinner and drinks. Needless to say, with plenty of other options in downtown Tucson, we won't be back.

Yelp
Food was good service was mediocre at best. Why the one star you ask well a lot of that has to do with while my group was there we saw several mice running into and out of a pillar. Won't be coming back here don't want to risk getting sick

Yelp
We came to dinner on opening night. The drink prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. I had the meat loaf -- Excellent. My partner had the vegan BLT. He was impressed. Service was great, very attentive server. Excited to have a new option downtown! Will be back soon!

Yelp
Great service, very nice atmosphere. Great location downtown, but I mean overall the food was mediocre. We came in for a mid day lunch about a week ago now, and honestly don't remember what we even had. Definitely not horrible but I mean.... Lots of amazing restaurants in tucson you have to give more.

Yelp
Food was terrific! Amazing wings with lemon pepper and a super unique cabbage slaw side. My guy loved the meatloaf. Excellent wine options and service.

Yelp
The vibe is great and very promising but the food was underwhelming. I was so excited about this place and really wanted to love it but it just wasn't a home run. The menu surprised me in how basic it was for such a cute spot. There was nothing special or unique about it. The food wasn't great, not terrible, just boring and basic. It didn't match the overall vibe of the place for being a cute joint downtown. I will say the staff was very nice and friendly. Idk if I'd go back. Maybe for drinks?

Yelp
Meatloaf dinner is overpriced for the quality. Mashed potatoes were super clumpy and roasted vegetables were not that great. Meatloaf was mediocre . Presentation sloppy. Very disappointed with my first and last visit. I was very happy and optimistic to try this place and left disappointed and upset I spent so much money on a very disappointing meal.

Yelp
Short review. Make a reservation and go. Just go. Long review. We had a terrific time at Blue Front last week. We made a reservation for dinner for 5:00 pm. We were seated immediately by a very attentive and personable staff member. The restaurant was attractive in an industrial way, which we like. The bar was good looking and I can see us having a cocktail there next time before dinner (or lunch). Our server came up immediately and took our cocktail order. We like to experiment with cocktails so, being a gin drinker, I ordered the Spa Water. The hubs ordered the Bird Calls and for fun, we ordered In a Pickle, because we had never heard of a cocktail made with cornichon. We really like cornichon so we wanted to give it a try. We tasted our cocktails and while the Spa Water was very tasty, I pushed it aside for the In a Pickle. Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order it again. My husband wasn't as enthusiastic, however. For dinner I ordered the Steak and Fries and asked our server to substitute the roasted veggies for the fries. It was not a problem, and I am so glad I did that because they were the best roasted veggies I have ever had. My husband agreed. Being a vegetarian, my hubs ordered the Mushroom Cheesesteak. I saw another review that said there weren't many mushrooms in the sandwich and it didn't have much flavor. Well, this was NOT that sandwich. It was overflowing with cheesy mushrooms and had a ton of flavor. He also ordered the onion rings and they were lightly battered (not dripping with coating and oil) and really good. I had another In a Pickle for dessert (because why not?!) and he had the Bourbon Pecan Pie with ice cream. That was the only disappointment of the evening. The pie was cold and not very appealing. We mentioned it to the server and she said they didn't heat that pie because it would cause the filling to "melt." Still think it would be a good idea to heat the pie. Cold pecan pie is just not a treat. Bottom line. We are really looking forward to a return visit. Might try lunch next time. Beginning to end, this was a stellar experience. Highly recommend.
