Here we go the review for the new kid on the block... I swayed between 3 or 4 stars, I landed on 4, considering they have only been open 5 weeks. First, I'm going to discuss the staff they were all amazing and were on top of it and Taylor the manager who helped us later in our dinner was fantastic, it was clear she enjoyed what she was doing and for who. Next, let's just discuss some of the nuts and bolts they need to figure out. The advertise themself as a fine dinning experience. They are on there way just not yet. The menu lay out is 2/5 it's set up so strange. No, dinner/lunch menu further the starters really were not starters. It was things like french fries, mac and cheese, onion rings. They were more like sides not starters. Next, salads they don't offer any salads as a starter the all treated as main. Next, the mains didn't match what they claim to be offering; I ordered a $50 steak (my husband had a chicken sandwich). The sides they did offer like cottage cheese isn't worth the $6 charge. I would say all the starters and the listed sides were truly sides, some should have up a small upcharge. Finally, they don't put salt/pepper on the table. I initially tried the Mac it tasted bland, but after hunting down waiter and added seasoning it was 4/5. I hate when restaurants believe they do so well patrons won't need it, so the decide to declutter the table. (I'm not saying this what they are doing. However, fine dining restaurants often do this) Let's move on to food. So, we started with Mac and cheese and it was good after seasoning, but this should be a side or a main option with an option to add meat. Next, we ordered a dinner salad and ask them to split up in back, We had avocado salad 5/5. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich, "Nashville hot" it came with fries. Well, it wasn't a Nashville hot which should be dry seasoned unless indicated buffalo. This sandwich was a buffalo sandwich. I'm from this part of the country a easy way to make Midwestern go cross-eyed call your buffalo dip chicken "Nashville Hot Chicken". 2/5 BBQ and Chicken is serious business in that part of country. :) Next, my steak I ordered medR which came with fries. I was surprised they don't typically allow one to change sides, they are all priced the same. However, he made an exception allowed me to change to mashed potato instead of fries. Also, all entrees come with two sides, but not the most expensive item (steak) on the menu. So, my steak came out way over cooked. This is when I met Taylor, she made me another that came out perfect. It tasted great and mash was really good with added seasoning. 4/5 They did give us two shakes for the issues. I had the mint choc chip 5/5 and my husband had Elvis shake 4/5. I had the fresh lime juice 5/5 and my husband had light beer 4/5. I know one may read this and say "hey you gave them 4 stars but you had several issues". Honestly, I see the potential! Once all issues are worked out this could be a top eat for us. They need to start seasoning EVERTHING before it leaves kitchen, based on my experience and others reviews! Once they fix menu, table setting and kitchen kinks worked out, I would happily spend another $120 here. I'm being frank here; because I think new restaurants need to hear it. So, I will be back in coming months in hopes of moving them to 5/5 and not down to 3/5. Finally, the decor was beautiful loved the bathroom set up in today's world it made a lot of sense.
