So many great things to say about this place! There are plenty of places to sit and talk and even make new friends at this place. Little corner with sofa and chairs, the staff was incredible, helpful, and nice. The breakfast is unlike anything i have ever had at a hotel they make you your own made to order omelet every morning. The breakfast a girl could used to tgat in the mornings. You need to stay here at least once!

For the price, I expected better. On our way to Shipshewana, we paid $80 less at a different hotel and it was quieter and the bathroom didn’t have caulk growing mold. The hotel is so pretty, decorated nicely, and the staff was friendly. We could hear the people above us walking. The bathroom needs attention.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Great location near and possibly In downtown. Big rooms include a king and a queen bed as well. Clean and bright. The public spaces were wonderful inside and out. Lovely landscaped in a fall theme. Places to sit, a firepit, several lobbies for people to sit and enjoy themselves...an ice cream parlor and gigantic dining spaces. The breakfast was phenomenal! Omelets to order, several breakfast meats and casseroles, hot cereal, frozen fruit casserole are only some of what I remember.

I’ve stayed here several times but things seem to be going downhill in some areas. Always wonderfully decorated on the outside regardless of the season. Was glad a handicapped room was available. Front desk staff were great although on check out, I told her about a few issues. I was traveling with some other friends and they had the same issue with the temperature in the room. Although it was a hot Indian summer outside, the room was very cold! It didn’t matter where the dial was turned - it didn’t seem to adjust. We arrived on Sunday afternoon. I’m diabetic so needed to store my insulin in refrigerator. Kept trying to adjust temp in refrigerator but it hadn’t cooled at all in our time there. Refrigerator obviously did not work and insulin had to be thrown out. Housekeeping folded the blanket so that about half of it was under the mattress. Very frustrating when you’re already cold and can’t even bring the blanket up far enough to cover your body! Telling of these issues, there was no compensation offered. Would have helped things a little bit because when you stay in a motel - it’s expected that things will be in working order. Disappointing stay.

For our family of 6, this is THE hotel we stay at in Shipshewana! We can get a room with 5 beds and a sofa bed for less than $200. This also includes a DELICIOUS homemade breakfast in the morning with omelets, homemade baked goods from the Blue Gate Bakery and lots of drinks, cereal, and other hot dishes. And it’s all you can eat! Rooms are clean and there is an arcade, indoor pool, nice patio and basketball court to enjoy.

We had a group of 16 that came to check out the flea market. We loved that the pool was big and that it had a hot tub. Unfortunately, walking into the pool area felt like you were walking into a sauna. The staff turned it down but then said if it didn't help we would have to go back in a half hour. The kids loved the arcades and spent lots of money in there. The pizza and ice cream were great at the place there and the employees were super friendly and accommodating. It would be great if they had a dairy free option! Our biggest complaint was that our 3 rooms wouldn't go below 72 degrees. When you are paying almost $300 for a room, that is ridiculous that the ac won't work. The manager gave a small discount but that wasn't enough. Also, for a royal suite, it sleeps 6, but we were charged an extra $30 but for a 6th person. The breakfast was wonderful with a wide selection of items! I would highly suggest getting a waffle with the horse and buggy!

Google
Between Expedia and the Blue gate they lost our reservation. Even though we had confirmation emails. The girls at the front desk weren’t helpful to clear things up. They were basically like. Too bad we don’t have your reservation. We called well what do you have available? And they said nothing you’ll want. Just super expensive suites. Overall not great customer service. Sure they can’t make rooms appear out of thin air but they could have helpful.

Rooms are clean but basic. Bed is comfy. Location is perfect. Hotel itself could use some updates. Pool and hot tub need a good scrub to remove mold and mildew from under the rims. Outdoor area is very nice but only one fire pit makes it difficult to get some time near it. Watch for hours on creamery and pizza place, very limited. 25 cent arcade was cool. Breakfast was no different than any other hotel. No bacon, only sausage. Omelets and waffles were good. Tv in room is the worst I've ever experienced. Limited channels, like 25 with 4 of them espn channels, no streaming abilities and channels kept going "out of signal".

Karen L.

Yelp
Pros: nice room, close to city central, included breakfast buffet, very friendly staff Cons: EXPENSIVE, parking very limited for guests of the inn during nightly performances, good food on buffet but extremely dirty dishes- dish after dish had food still on them

Yelp
Cool place to stay at and right next to the events center where I'd gone to a few shows in the last twenty years... The ice cream parlour finally opened and had my waffle bowl but due to its pay first policy wish I could have ordered sprinkles--saw a lot of unordered toppings it would have been nice to have added... -- Dave

Yelp
Even after four years from my last review it's still great. They keep the hotel and the grounds looking spectacular and it's always clean, staff always friendly and it's so close to everything. I love their arcade, their ice cream shop and especially their buffet breakfast that is included. They have a huge indoor pool and hot tub. A 24:7 workout room and a lobby that is very pleasant to sit in. Just love it here.

Yelp
My first stay at the Blue Gate Garden Inn in Shipshewana was at the end of September 2023. I enjoyed my stay thanks to the warm and welcoming staff at the front desk and the friendly staff each morning at breakfast. The property's decorations reflect the community's farming industry, creating a comfortable environment for relaxing and sleeping. The breakfast buffet was perfect for a light or heavy breakfast. It is a five-star property. Thanks to Visit Shipshewana for hosting my visit!

Yelp
The stay was nice. It was reasonably priced, comfortable, clean and the amenities were great. My husband really enjoyed the work out room. The breakfast is so-so...reminded me of "school type" food - yes they make omelets and they were alright. The insulation between the walls is a little thin and we had the misfortune of having a herd of water buffalo above us the last night. We would stay again.

Yelp
Very clean. Nice breakfast. The staff was courteous and the hotel was quiet. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm glad we chose their establishment to stay at!

Yelp
The free hot breakfast buffet is fantastic! The rooms are very clean the staff is friendly and it's a 30 second walk to the theater next door!!! Highly recommend this place!!!

Pete L.

Yelp
Excellent buffet with many choices: Turkey, fried chicken, roast beef. Great salad bar and nice selection toon of desserts.

Rebecca O.

Yelp
Everything. At least twice a year it's a sisterhood road trip. It's the best place to stay in the town. Great food (breakfast is included) and a huge indoor swimming pool and hot tub. It's close to wherever you want to shop or eat and just a short drive to Middlebury. You won't be disappointed. In fact I am on my way there right now.
google avatar

Gregg H.

Yelp
Great location with a lot of amenities. Indoor pool, arcade, big dining room and across parking lot from the theater. The people were nice and the rooms were clean and well maintained. When I'm back in Shipshewana, I'll stay at the Blue Gate Inn.

Sal Q.

Yelp
Well-kept suites with high thread count sheets: so comfortable! Service staff so polite and meticulous with their work. The first floor had an amazing 55 ft pool and tiny hot tub, both of which we had all to ourselves. Huge fire pit outside with plenty of surrounding (sturdy) rocking chairs, adjacent to pool room. First floor ice cream parlor completed the evening.

Yelp
Updating from a 2 to 1 star: If if you want to personally plunge ankle deep gray water from shower and the staff show zero concern for a poor experience, then this is the place for you. You can read my below review. We will not be back. While checking out I asked if the manager reviewed the message the night staff left, mentioned below, the lady called the manager who was in a meeting and came back offering a $50 discount to my bill. Never a shed of concern for a bad experience or an hint of an apology for a bad experience. The flat do not care. The pool was nice so I'm giving a generous review. Our phone was unplugged which I'm only noting because once I plugged it in and tried to call the front desk, they never answered. We did not have a tv remote. The shower backed up with gray water and would not drain. No answers to the attempted phone calls to the front desk. My 70 year old mom walked down to the front desk and they gave her a remote and also a bucket with a plunger to a bring back to the room to plunge our own tub. No guest wants to be seen schlepping a bucket and plunger back to their own room. Also, gross. It did not work. I took a shower in ankle deep gray water that probably now also has fecal material in it due to the plunger. The room was clean otherwise. The lack of staff may not be their fault but it certainly results in a poor experience. Not impressed. After my shower I went to the front desk to share this was gross. They said they would have maintenance check the room. I said that was not good enough because this is entirely gross. She is leaving a message for the manager. I will post an update.

Yelp
This was the 4th time I visited Shipshewana. I was going to stay in one of the cheap hotels again, but then, I decided to treat myself and stay at the Blue Gate Garden Inn. I am glad I did! As others have said, it is rather corporate, and it turned out that everything I did was owned by the Blue Gate. I didn't like that part. But, the hotel itself was quite nice. At night, when I arrived, I thought that my room overlooked a parking lot, but in the morning, I saw it overlooked a field -- with cows! I liked that the bathroom had a bath mat; I'm always a little afraid of slipping in bathtub. The sides of the tub were a little high for a short person like me, though. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the pillows were a little squishy for my taste; I think I ended up using 3 of them to get the right support. The breakfast buffet was really good -- so many choices, along with the omelette station (although, I wish they'd offered some veggies for the omelettes), and they were all good. I did swim in the pool & I sat in the hot tub for a while. Both were quite nice, clean & looked recently remodeled. I do wish the ice cream & pizza place were open longer and more consistent hours; since the town basically closes by 7:00, it would've been nice to have had that option when I arrived at 8:30 p.m. Overall, it was quite nice, and I'm glad I opted for the fancier place rather than the cheap one.

Yelp
We have stayed at Blue Gate inn several times. This pasted time- we were told the ice cream parlor would be open till 10pm on Thursday night April 27. We went there after the comedy show. To get some ice cream and we were not the only ones, several people following. The 2 young girls were counting the money & said they were closed. I heard one woman asked " we were told you'd be open till 10pm. The girl replied " we weren't busy so closed early" + "if we stayed open to ten, then we would get out late" did they not know that when they took that job? That is no excuse!! Either the front desk was wrong in the time? Or the young girls need to stay open the entire operating hours? Too me, it makes since to be open later, especially when there is a show going on next door at the PAC!!!

Yelp
We came for lunch and were promptly upon entering. We got a table right away and we did not take the buffet option that they offered we wanted just regular meals. I ordered a bowl of their homemade chicken noodle soup as an appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the country beef with two sides being the garden salad and the hush puppies both very tasty. My wife had the French dip sandwich and she said it was excellent. The service was excellent and all the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place..

Yelp
This place is clean, quiet, nice quality and priced fairly. We had actually booked a hotel in Goshen; when we checked in and saw the room it was so disappointing that we called Blue Gate and left the the other hotel. Breakfast was included and better than most hotel provided breakfasts. Nice place, good service, close to Shipshewana shopping area. A very good option for your visit to the area.

Yelp
On April 12th, laye in the evening, I planned this trip which included a two night stay along with theatre tickets, dinner tickets , and a carriage ride to celebrate my cousins 75th birthday. Her birthday is April 21, and I planned the trip to arrive April 21 and leave April 23. I did this late in the evening 2 days before I started traveling and didn't look at the confirmation because I was tired. I was without internet service for several days (I was traveling). On Wednesday, April 20 I was able to check email and was shocked to see the hotel had charged me for a no show. Apparently I had mistakenly booked the stay for April 19. When I called the hotel to explain the mistake they were more than happy to make the correct reservation but were NOT WILLING TO REFUND THE NOSHOW CHARGE OR APPLY IT TO THE ACTUAL STAY 2 DAYS LATER. In fact, the woman was extremely rude, and actually hung up on me. When I arrived at the hotel today, April 21, for our arranged stay I asked to speak to a manager . I was referred to a man who apparently is a "manage in training". I explained the situation and he went back into a room to supposedly talk to the real manager . When he came back, he CHASTISED me for not checking my email and looking at the confirmation. (I had explained to him that I was unable due to travel). I apologized and asked if there wasn't something he could do. I asked if the hotel had been sold out. He said he could not tell me if the hotel had been sold out on the 19th, but he did say that it was unlikely . He again chastised me a couple more times for not looking at my email confirm. I admitted that I was at fault for not doing so, but given the circumstances was hoping he could somehow see his way to helping me with the no show charge . His reason for not offering any type of accommodation was that he was just following "their policy " Finally he did offer to help. He was willing to give me 2 dinner vouchers FOR THE NEXT TIME WE CAME. I gave up. I have been in the lodging industry for 20 years and have traveled more than most . I have never seen such a blatant case of poor customer service and lack of compassion for a client / guest. I WOULD WARN ANYONE CONSIDERING A STAY HERE AT THE BLUE GATE GARDEN INN TO RECONSIDER. THE INTEREST OF THE MANAGEMENT APPEARS ONLY TO MAKE MONEY, WITH NO COMPASSION OR WILLINGNESS TO DO RIGHT FOR THEIR GUESTS. I would leave and go to another hotel, but they would charge me again for no service, so now we are stuck here for 2 nights. So much for a Happy 75th Birthday without

Yelp
We were at a horse show at the Mec center in Shipshewana; we went to the Buffet at the Blue Gate. If you have the time it is well worth the visit. Bring your your appetite, the salad bar, the entree's and dessert bar are fabulously delicious. Everything there is well worth the price and the service is friendly and fast .

Judy F.

Yelp
Walls are so thin I hear every word people in the next room are saying. The toilet paper is the really cheap stuff I would expect at a motel 6. This is our first time staying here and it will be our last. I have stayed in way better hotels just up the road. Take ear plugs if you're hoping to get any sleep here.
google avatar

Yelp
I stay here every year with a quilt retreat and generally have had good experiences. The hotel is pleasantly kitschy and the rooms are clean. However, I have a dairy allergy and trying to get a cheese-free omelette at breakfast can be frustrating. Today, the station was busy, and the woman was unhelpful and unwilling to make me a new omelette after cheese from adjacent dishes had spilled onto mine, even after explaining my allergy. There also aren't any other dairy-free protein options. This was a disappointing end to my otherwise enjoyable stay.

Don D.

Yelp
The property has a lot to offer, including crushed Skittles in the bed, pills under the pillows and free deodorant sticks floating in the toilet. The management did try to make things right by comping the rooms (we had two rooms for one night) and tried to call other hotels in the area looking for a replacement room, the Blue Gate was booked, as was every other hotel in the area so we had to stay. I understand how difficult it is to find reliable help with all the government freebies right now, so I don't blame the hotel management and they did try to make things right. I just hope for their sake they can get things under control before it's too late for them.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the stay here with our family. The lobby and sitting areas were a good place to read your Bible or chat with family. The omelette and breakfast offerings were a fantastic switch from typical hotel breakfast bars.

Yelp
We stay here often. At least once or twice a year for the last 7 years. Recent Memorial Holiday weekend most recent. Given room 233. From the time we arrived in the room, the family of elephants (we can only assume) above us in room 333 was at it. Stomping back and forth as hard as they can. We've had this happen at Blue Gate in the past, but this was by far the worst. So bad we called down to the front desk to see what they could do. It only got worse after that call. Other than that, the stay was good. Breakfast was great as usual, easy check-in and check-out. Little things were not there, such as pen/paper in the room, no cookies next to the coffee in the lobby as in the past, no hanging flowers for the patio rooms. This is by far our favorite place to stay in Shipshewana even with these small annoyances we had this past weekend.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
We stayed here on a Sunday evening, knowing ahead of time that most things in the area were closed. But we only came up to purchase furniture on Monday morning. We booked a family suite that had bunk beds for the kids. The kids had a great time and we enjoyed the little time we spent in our room. I was not a fan of the layout of the room, but it worked for us. The breakfast was complimentary and delicious. I would stay here again for sure.

Yelp
This is my third visit to the Blue Gate Garden Inn. I was extremely disappointed. The facility itself is understaffed and it's extremely frustrating. Breakfast is a very Bland very boring generic offering. The facility is very much regionally inspired. The indoor pool is dirty. The ice-cream parlor is never properly staffed. My biggest complaint was the dampness in the room. There was a stale scent throughout the hotel. This is shameful based on the fact that rooms have Windows that open. The staff is Mennonite and not overly service orientated. If your looking for an Amish experience this is your spot . I will not be staying here again in the future . This is a motel on Amish steroids worth $65.00 per night .
google avatar

Denise L.

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel. So clean and is one of the nicest we have stayed in. A patio with a fire pit. An ice cream shop. And a buffet breakfast. We will most definitely come back
google avatar

Yelp
My family & I had a great stay at this hotel. We stayed in the "Royal Suite" which has a private bedroom with a king size bed, a semi-private bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom, and a living room with a sleeper sofa and a kitchenette with a small microwave and mini-fridge. The whole room was clean, the beds and even the sleeper sofa was comfortable. This place was peaceful & quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, the pool was great and so was the hot tub. They have a small arcade room. There was even a little ice cream parlor called "The Ice Creamery" which was a nice treat. The complimentary continental breakfast was good. They had a lot to choose from. They even have a made-to-order omelet chef. The next time we visit Shipshewana, this hotel will definitely be our first choice. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Linda B.

Yelp
Formerly known Splash Universe and The Amish Country Inn, I stayed in one of the two bedroom suites for 2 nights. The suite came with a kitchen, a working fireplace, a fold out bed and the usual amenities. I found the place to be very clean and you can tell it was rebuilt / renovated. The only downside was the breakfast. The coffee was difficult to drink and their "fresh fruit" was drowned in water. However, breakfast is free, so who am I to complain?
google avatar

Charles P.

Yelp
Love this place, love the rooms. These are the best rooms we've stayed in, and it's close to home. I recommend if you're in the area to book a room here. The staffs great and there's an ice cream parlor and arcade on the first floor. I'll find out how the complimentary breakfast is in the morning.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Writing for my grandmother: We reserved a room with a patio online 4 months before our stay. Two days before our stay, a rep called and told me that they were having "maintenance problems" with their patio rooms and that they were upgrading us to a suite (no patio) and would comp us dinner. Sounded nice so we accepted. We show up and there were people sitting on the patios of the patio rooms. When we asked about it, the phone call the other day was found to be basically a blatant lie. The rooms were just booked up. 1 star for the lie. I would say without the lie, it would have been 3 stars for accommodations and atmosphere.

Sheryl M.

Yelp
There are a lot of pluses if you stay at the Blue Gate Garden Inn. We have been there several times. The rooms are always very pleasant and nice. The patio and gas firepit is a real plus. The breakfast is far better than most hotels, with made-to-order omelets, and all the other breakfast options. Having pizza and ice cream available to purchase on the premises was nice, as well. The only negatives would be that they ration the towels, giving only one towel per guest, and the bed was not very comfortable during our last stay. It is a bit pricier to stay there, but it is a very nice and clean hotel. Just ask for extra towels when you check-in.
google avatar

Joni J.

Yelp
We had a room with a king and queen. The room was clean and neat when we arrived. Oddly, there is a divider in the room between the two beds which takes away quite a bit of movable space. We stayed here for the pool however the water was a dingy grey/cloudy. We went out to the patio area and sat until the bugs got the best of us, well before sunset. Being out in the country like that, I would have thought they would have sprayed for mosquito's. My boys enjoyed the tether ball and basketball court. We stopped by The Creamery to order pizza at 5:10pm. The girl said she wasn't ready to open so we left and ate down the street. We went back for ice cream around 7pm. She was up and running. We found out that she was brand new and they had her running things by herself while the lady making pizza was some place else. (The pizza lady was just arriving at 5:10 when we were walking out for dinner.) The next morning, the breakfast buffet was fantastic! Overall, every employee we encountered was friendly. That's half the battle in any hotel. We may stay again, although I will check into the property next door a little more before making my selection.

Yelp
Awesome place to stay if you're in Shipshewana. There are so many amenities! They have an indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor fire pit, arcade room, ice cream shop, fitness room, and awesome breakfast with made to order omelets. The rooms are really nice too. Our room had a kitchenette area and wall between the two beds which was nice. It felt like a little apartment. Super close to town and friendly staff.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable room. Clean, comfortable beds. Clean bathroom, but, here it is...a very, very slow tub drain. I hate, absolutely hate having water back up to 2 inches, and having my feet in..whatever it is that you can imagine it is! Very good breakfasts! On the spot made omelette! And a nice staff in the breakfast room! A very strange town, indeed! Not one person of color...anywhere! Kind of Weird! Everything, and I do mean just about EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday! The only 2 places that I know of that were open on Sunday were the Subway sandwich shop and the gas station in town. That's it! Not even the restaurant in town is opened. It's like you stepped back to the 1970's here - really! I'm pretty sure that it's a requirement to have sideburns and wear polyester clothing, and listen to Elvis and good Christian music - all week long. And...there's no alcohol in this town - NONE. A white persons haven - Not for me! And I'm white! "Stepford Wives" like town.

Yelp
Pros: Clean, well kept rooms Spacious Nice indoor and outdoor sitting areas Proximity to downtown shipshewana Free breakfast Cons: Low water pressure Extra starchy, rough towels Tabbi at check in was not friendly AT ALL We will definitely be staying at blue gate garden inn again--this is our 4th stay and we always enjoy the cleanliness and openness of the area. The outdoor sitting area is definitely a plus as well as the tables indoors to play cards on! The only real negative about the rooms is the towels are so rough and the water pressure is pretty poor. The carpet could use some updating as well.
google avatar

Dennis N.

Yelp
It was absolutely PERFECT..no complaints at all.Room was extremely clean, snow storm before arrival and was actually able to check in early because of compensating for weather..concert next door was really enjoyable and the food was FANTASTIC as ALWAYS..already booked for another up coming concert..TY STAFF!!

A T.

Yelp
Rooms were paperthin walls, could hear next-door snoring. Breakfast buffet was not appealing. Food in general was unappealing at best. Service was apathetic. Keurig in room but no option for tea kcups. Asked at desk, coffee only.
google avatar

Peg G.

Yelp
Very clean and comfortable....sort of the platonic ideal of "hotel" in that sense. It was too big and corporate, too much of an "operation" for my tastes, too many families carrying in pizza and clambering for ice cream cones BUT these are minor complaints. It was everything you need in a hotel. I loved that the windows open! And the breakfast is a big step above a Hampton or HI Express.
google avatar

Carrie S.

Yelp
Wow! This place is so clean and pretty. Everyone is nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. Did I say clean more than once??? Well it is! They have a lovely patio area with a fire pit, lots of rocking chairs and places to relax and watch the fire flies over a farm field. The breakfast that is included with your room. The buffet includes make your own waffles with all the toppings, made to order omelettes, eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and toast, juice, coffee and tea...amazing and everything tastes fantastic! Truly a great place to stay!

Lulu Y.

Yelp
LOVED our stay here. We had a "Shopshewana King" mini suite--a charming room with a quilt on the bed and a sitting area with sleeper sofa and coffee table. Solid king size bed that didn't jiggle too much (I'm a light sleeper; wobbly bed + flopping husband wake me up). An awesome hot buffet breakfast (with fresh fruit salad, baked oatmeal, made to order omelets, and lots more) is included, making the room rate very reasonable at ~$115 including taxes for 2 adults and 2 children. Everything in the hotel including our room seemed new. I wish we could have stayed longer! Of the approximately 20 hotels we've stayed in so far this summer, this is my favorite.
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
No way! Management did not even try to accommodate us on a hot day. We just wanted to put our delicious baked goods in the fridge in our room. Also, the front desk clerk was rude and the manager did not even seem to care that we might cancel our reservations....so we did!! Went to Farmstead INN (where we usually have gone many times before)....looks like Farmstead Inn and we will have a great relationship from now on going forward!
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first time in Shipshewana and when we come back, we will be staying here again. The rooms are clean and spacious, the hotel staff helpful and accomadating, and the breakfast, one of the best!

Karen W.

Yelp
Staff is so nice, always clean, bed was perfect, pool was nice and warm, breakfast was good, going back in oct,!!!!

Kiernan K.

Yelp
Great trip for my girlfriend, her daughter's, and I. Stayed Sun-Tues and wasn't too busy at hotel. Remember if you have kids to have them wear blue wristband for swimming. They are cracking down on it because of people not staying with family, etc that are swimming. Seems silly, but I see where management is coming from. We have had a good time, but always be aware of things not open during your stay. Surrounding cities/towns have things open when Shipshewana/Middlebury is closed. Good time and it is beautiful here!

Yelp
First time staying here, had a great experience. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained, room was clean and comfortable. Great customer service. The in-house pizza kitchen and ice cream parlor were a plus.

Yelp
A great staff. Clean rooms. Modern complimentary hot brkfst. A nice gym. Underpriced for what you get... and for a city guy in Amish country that's great!!

Yelp
Had an overall nice stay, very clean rooms etc. Did have a few incidents that we were not very pleased with. The front desk staff weren't very knowledgeable of the local restaurants open on Sundays and whether or not they delivered to the Inn. Secondly the fire alarm went off around 8:15am and when asking at the front desk they didn't know whether it was a false alarm or not, turned out to be a false alarm. Thirdly we usually only stay at hotels/inns for 1-2 days and we customarily put the "Do Not Disturb" sign out to let the cleaning ladies know to skip our room. Hotels/Inns usually have enough towels etc in the room to last a couple days for two people. When we got back to our room that evening we found the cleaning ladies ignored the "Do Not Disturb" sign and came in anyway... When we notified the front desk they brought the cleaning lady to our room to apologize which was nice (she said she didn't see the sign on the door...) in the end not a big deal but it just rubbed us the wrong way. While our negative experiences are more than likely isolated incidents that don't happen all the time or might never happen again our experiences will definitely weigh heavily on our decision on where to stay the next time we come back to this area.

Yelp
This is the second year that we had a girls weekend here It's a great place to stay. Extremely clean and the staff is outstanding. The manager Brent made sure our stay there was a good one. He would stop us and ask us how things were going, how we liked it there and if there was anything he could do let him know. The breakfast is outstanding. The omelette made to order was very good. There is something for even the pickiest eater. This is close to everywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel

Yelp
We had a Cousins Reunion at the Blue Gate Garden Inn. They were so accommodating in the planning as well as going the extra mile in many ways during the reunion. Our group of 40 had nothing but compliments for the warmth of hospitality received from all the employees!
