We traveled with our teenage children for summer break. We loved the trampolines in the ocean and the easy uncrowded atmosphere. The resort was full but it never seemed like a rat race to get chairs at the beach, chairs were limited at the pool. There were always plenty of shady spots at the beach. The service was always friendly, but sometimes on island time. The food was quality but the choices were a little more limited than bigger resorts. The drinks were always strong. They cleaned our room daily and refreshed the mini bar. We did clear kayak tour to mangroves with the staff at resort was convenient and we really enjoyed the excursion. We did not have to spend a lot of time waiting for someone to come pick us up and ride on a bus and then half your day is gone. This was a fun morning adventure.|I would caution against taking the shuttle to Alexandria if you want a chance at a beach chair at that resort. The shuttle does not leave until 10:40AM and by the time you arrive there is not one seat on the beach and no shade. The drinks there are weak and it is crowded. Sidewalks are narrow and it feels like an amusement park with the lines and crowds. If I was to go back to see Grace Bay Beach, which was amazingly beautiful, I would take a cab early in the morning before it is swallowed up with people. The shuttle also does not run over the lunch hour so there is a 2 hour gap where if you get there and want to leave you can not leave . Also I would warn that if you are a balcony person make sure you do not get the studio suite as it does not have a balcony.||The Things to love about this resort include |1) a small , easy to navigate property|2) really well made drinks, not watered down|3) quality food|4) clean resort|5) beautiful beach that is quiet|6) "fun" pool with games/music|7) not crowded|8) friendly staff|||If you are someone who likes a big resort and prefer a quantity of options over quality this may not be the place for you.

For my 40th birthday I specifically wanted a nice all-inclusive in the Caribbean with good food , a nice beach, and quality drinks (shoutout to Sly). Blue Haven delivered on all parts plus more. ||The hotel was well maintained and offered a great variety of beverages, excursions, and food choices. I stood in a studio with a king size bed which was way bigger than most New York City studio apartments. While the beach front is on the smaller side in comparison to their sister hotel, Alexandra, Blue Haven offers a nice escape from the typical loud ,overcrowded, and rambunctious all-inclusive scene. ||As an added bonus the shuttle to Alexandra, free of charge, was extremely useful. Alexandra sits on Grace Bay which is ranked as having one of the worlds top beaches. While there make sure to to eat at the jerk chicken hut during lunch and consider making a reservation at the Black Rock steak restaurant for dinner. If steak isn't your thing simply head back to Blue Haven where the Fire and Ice restaurant has something for everyone. The food and staff specifically Cadet, Desney, Kellie, and Michael were very attentive and knew exactly what would satisfy your palate. ||Even with Hurricane Erin raining down on the celebration, literally, all the staff were attentive to our needs and our safety. Many thanks to Makayla, Shaneka, and Vanessa for accommodating us for an additional four days while the airport was closed and our airline was working on putting us on a flight out of the country.||In short, Blue Haven is adequately named. I can't wait to return back one day with a family of my own to share with them the beauty of the property and staff.

Fabulous, just what we needed to relax, unwind and recharge for a week, intimate size property, away from the hub of things. Higher end amenities all around, concierge service, excellent chef and restaurant service. Fantastic private chef in our kitchen.|Our 1 br ocean front corner, 4th fl, was exactly as reserved and exactly as advertised in photo array. We had everything we needed, including gourmet kitchen, walk in closet/dressing room, decent sized wrap patio with loungers and dining table. Temperature control was modern and silent (a huge plus). Entire Staff is perfectly accommodating on all counts, beach staff in particular is spot on and a special thanks for having our kayaks ready to hop into and pushed off multiple times a day. |The single time we opted to use the sister property (for the sushi restaurant) we returned and never ventured away from the tranquility again.|The one and only negative on this prime property was the 'Miami beat' music at the ocean front. Couldn't get them to lower it for long periods of time, and the back-beat-base was not conducive to the mellow-laid-back reason to be there. Several occasions we couldn't even sit on our own patio without hearing the 'thump' of the base. But overall, just what we needed.

The place had a lot to offer. The beach and pool was great for kids. Kayaking, paddle boarding, and sea bob were available if you wanted to use them. ||The buffet offered various food options. The lunches and dinners also had a lot of options. The cafe Agave offered smoothies and other drinks along with ice cream and desserts.||The gym had great equipment and was clean.||The rooms were large and they will be closes for a few weeks to renovate the facility.||If you want a relaxing vacation without the crowds. This is the ideal place.||All 7 of us had a wonderful experience.||Staff were friendly and helpful.

What a simply AMAZING time our family of 7-people had at the Blue Haven resort! There was not a thing that disappointed. The staff were super attentive and friendly, and the meals were far superior to typical resort food. The resort is small and cozy, and it felt like we got to know the other guests and staff personally. We loved the beach and the unbelievably turquoise ocean waters. It was also nice to have the option to go to the sister resort, the Alexandra, but for us, we liked the size and feel of the Blue Haven much better. We are already planning a trip back!

We spent 5 days at Blue Haven for a belated honeymoon after getting married last year. We had an incredible time and hope we get to come back to Blue Haven again in the future. Staff were extremely welcoming, helpful, attentive, and friendly, from the very second we arrived, and by the end of our trip they felt like family. ||The food was excellent, we loved being able to be waited on without leaving the beach! Fire and Ice was great for upscale dinner and we loved Salt for more casual nights. Breakfast was great every day and loved the many options. The resort itself was always clean and the beach and pool areas were always ready for use. Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. ||The pay for one stay at two feature is awesome, the shuttle runs throughout the day to take you to the sister resort. We had fully expected to spend a day at the sister resort, but had heard from many people visiting Blue Haven from the sister resort that Blue Haven was better. Because of our shorter stay, we decided not to go there but we would have if we were staying 7+ days to give a little more variety. ||We did go during the off season, and there were many times where we were the only people on the beach which we loved. Overall, Blue Haven is a smaller resort and a bit more private so it worked great for us but might not be as desirable for people looking for more to do. That being said, we were never bored during our stay. Plenty of lawn games, trivia activities, board games, kayaks/paddleboards which are included, etc. ||Because it’s a smaller resort the food options are a little bit more limited with basically 3 main places to eat and a cafe, but for us it was not an issue because the food was great everywhere. But again, people looking for more variety might struggle but could easily take the shuttle to the sister resort for meals. ||Overall, this was probably the best vacation we’ve taken. I didn’t want to leave at the end which is rare for me. Already thinking about when we can go back!

Blue Haven is a true gem. The resort, the service, and food, and the commitment to excellence was outstanding. The rooms and the grounds were impeccable and beautifully maintained. Room cleaning and housekeeping were beyond excellent. The staff were friendly and provided A1 service. The food and restaurants were of top quality as well. Access to the Alexandra sister-resort provided additional food and beach options. Truly a great value for an all-inclusive experience.

We went here with our adult kids for a birthday and had a great time! It's smaller than your typical Beaches/Sandals resorts but it was kind of nice because you got to know everyone there and the staff treated us like family. The F&B Manager was great and when we were trapped in the dining area due to the weather, he came over and played games with us and brought in staff to do a trivia game, Emilee the bartender was so much fun and Smiley brought the laughs. For a boutique experience, it was 10/10. My only small negative was things closed early and although not part of the resort, the taxis took advantage of us twice.. even after confirming cost. Just let the staff set that for you... also the sister resort, Alexandria was on the older side but just depends what you are looking for!
