Blue Haven Hotel

We stayed at Blue Haven Guest House and had a very pleasant experience. Overall, it is a great place for the price. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We needed to change our booking after we arrived, and they handled it very smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also forgot a few personal items at the hotel after leaving. The staff kept them safely and returned them to us when we came back a few weeks later, which we truly appreciated. Their honesty and helpful attitude really stood out. Would definitely recommend Blue Haven to anyone looking for good value and warm service.

Blue Haven is little bit outside, but worth the little extra effort. Its a quiet and friendly place. We had the deluxe room with a lot of comfort. The continental breakfast is very good and gives you a good start into the day. The next bus stop is not too far away and gives you a cheap ride into/from the city center. We stayed for 3 nights.

This is a common trade-off for hotels offering better views and a pool in Kandy. The property is close to Udawattakele Sanctuary for nature lovers. ​Amenities & Facilities : The Pool is a Game-Changer ​The standout feature of Blue Heaven is undoubtedly the outdoor swimming pool, a major bonus in Kandy where many budget-friendly options lack this facility. Reviewers frequently highlight the pool as a perfect way to cool off after a hot day of sightseeing. Worst Experience Ever – Dishonest Management and Inaccessible Location This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a guest house, and I strongly advise anyone considering Blue Haven to look elsewhere. Getting to the property is a nightmare; both routes are extremely hard to navigate, requiring you to go by bike or on foot, and there is absolutely no parking space available. To make matters worse, the manager is completely dishonest. We explicitly asked about food before booking and were promised it would be arranged, only to be told upon arrival that no food was available. Because of these issues, we decided not to stay the first night and accepted that we wouldn't get a refund. However, despite having a reservation for three nights, when we asked to stay the following night, the manager had already given our room to other guests. Even after making an advanced payment. He kept our reservation active but sold the room anyway. The manager has zero communication skills and I honestly don't know how he continues to run a business. Do not waste your time or money here.

I had the worst experience staying at this hotel. First of all, the shower was terrible – it was only a hand shower, and it wasn’t even possible to wash my head properly. It was very uncomfortable and disappointing. They also mentioned that the room had a TV, but when we arrived, the TV didn’t work at all. We informed the staff about it, but the servant’s reaction was extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of fixing the problem or apologizing, he behaved as if it was not his concern. Overall, the service, facilities, and attitude of the staff were very poor. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

At first it was really hard to find the hotel, even the host couldnt instruct the route properly. Next the room was the most unhygienic room we ever went. Torn and dirty bedsheets. Mouldy bathroom with spiders and its hard to go inside the bathroom as its too small. Got deceived by the photos and i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Poor Service and No Parking.. I’m very disappointed with my stay. There was no parking space available, even though I expected it when booking. On top of that, the staff did not treat customers properly — they were unhelpful and unfriendly when I asked for assistance. This made my experience unpleasant and stressful. I hope the management improves customer service and provides clear information about parking for future guests.

Had a wonderful stay at Blue Haven Guest House! The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Kandy!
