Fantastic experience. The Pilot, Tim, was very knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. Also was sensitive to my motion sickness issues. I got through without getting sick (definitely take all precautions if you are like that!). Very well worth it. And getting a video of our experience makes it even more special. My 2 teen’s first experience and they enjoyed it. My husband loved it as well. I highly recommend this company and experience!

Booked Waterfalls of West Maui and Molokai and it is a must do experiences especially if you have never done a helicopter tour. The views from above a breathtaking. Never been on a helicopter before and I was nervous a first but was we were in the air it was wonderful and smooth flight. Our pilot Pete did a great job!

This tour was my favorite activity of our entire trip. Absolutely amazing views! Seeing the "Wall of Tears" was awesome. Once in a lifetime activity - well worth the money in my opinion. Shout out to Derek who piloted our copter and provided an awesome experience! Highly recommend making this part of your vacation.

Wow, what an incredible experience! All of the staff including the pilot were kind and helpful throughout the process. From the helicopter, we could see whales, turtles, and even manta rays in the water - on top of all of the waterfalls, forests, and other jaw dropping views on land. Our pilot Tim was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the flight. I highly recommend this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I recently went on a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour in Kahului, Maui, and it was incredible. The staff were really professional and made sure everyone felt safe. The helicopter ride was smooth and offered stunning views of Maui's scenery. We flew over lush, green valleys, cascading waterfalls, and along the coastline, seeing parts of the island you can't see any other way. The pilot knew a lot about Maui and pointed out all the important sights. It was a great way to see the island's beauty from above. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a unique view of Maui's landscapes. It was an unforgettable experience

We booked a reservation on the Maui Spectacular, specifically for the two front seats. Our original flight was supposed to include flying over Haleakala but weather conditions that morning required an alteration to the route. The staff were excellent, they asked if we were okay with that, or they would be happy to re-book on another day. We decided to stay and had an excellent trip. Our re-route included a trip over Molokai and the views were spectacular. We were very pleased with the excursion, the comfort of the helicopter, and the kindness and warmth of the staff. We also opted to purchase the video as the helicopters has both interior and exterior cameras and I was confident that the video would augment what I captured on my own camera. As a firefighter, I was also most interested in their safety practices and was truly impressed. They clearly take safety seriously; even taking a view into their shop I could see that it was clean and organized. They are clear about expectations on moving on the flight line and in proximity to a helicopter. They provided safety briefings before flight. I would certainly fly with them again (and likely will) but would also highly recommend the folks at Blue Hawaiian.

PHENOMENAL experience!!!! Visited Maui from Jul 9th to Jul 16th to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary (Jul 11th). Booked this Road to Hana (1/2 land 1/2 Air) tour last minute and so thankful we did. Our pilot Chris was truly kind, knowledgeable and just AMAZING!!!!! He ensured our entire family of 5 (including my 16 year old daughter) were comfortable and safe at all times, especially considering that both my mother and daughter were terrified of heights. Everyone was at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. For the most part, it was a beautiful day with some scattered rain clouds here and there, but the overall visibility was great and to see the Road to Hana below via air was breathtaking!!!! We saw a plethora of stunning waterfalls throughout the lush tropical forests and even some directly falling into the ocean combined with the heavenly shoreline of nonstop waves crashing along black sand beaches and ancient lava rock formations. This Maui helicopter tour was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I'm thankful for Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for turning a dream into reality for our family. We are eternally grateful for this experience and highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the amazing parts of Maui only visible from a birds eye view. What an amazing experience! The views were spectacular. I've lived on Oahu for all my life, but I've never seen my home like that. The pilot was so knowledgeable on the island of Oahu ~ I've lived here for 40 years & didn't know some of the information he gave. The beautiful island of Oahu from above is spectacular!! Do yourself a favor & treat yourself to this amazing journey above the island! Something I'll always cherish & remember.

This was by far one of the coolest experiences ever. My uncle made the reservation and it appeared the whole process was easy. Upon arrival and check in we were greeted by the friendly employees. We were weighed (for safety and leveling out of the helicopter via seating arrangements) and shown a brief safety video. We were provided safety equipment and given a few minutes to use the bathroom and watch the other helicopters come and go. Oir pilot, Yoshi, was funny and informative. He made us feel safe the entire flight and showed his amazing skill by landing us super smooth during some pretty significant winds. We took the full Maui island tour. Seeing the island on the ground is spectacular but the views we got from the air were even better! The facility was clean and organized. There were several souvenirs available for purchase and free postcards. I highly recommend this company for your helicopter tours!

Pilot: Derek #YelpElite in Maui, Hi This tour was amazing, No it was spectacular--Maui Spectacular that is. That is the tour I decided to take with the front seat views. Go big or go home, right? Well I went for it & enjoyed my #YoloSolo moment. This tour was 90min w/ breathtaking views. Waterfalls, Cucuey Trees, rainforests, mountains, volcanoes, Molokini Island. Yes, Molokini Island flyover---I see why that is must for snorkeling. For me what made this tour more enjoyable was our Pilot Derek. His knowledge---Amazing. His tour guide voice-relaxing. His sense of Humor--excellent this guy had me giggling like a schoolgirl. He sense of adventure-- I loved the 'Let's do this' attitude & the flyover Molokini, well this was a last minute bonus. His sense of music choices--spot on. This guy has no idea what a music buff I am & I loved all his choices. I thought I heard 'Time to say goodbye' by Chris Botti & I thought 'Yes!' perfect choice. Did I mention he was Hot AF . Flirtatious ride it was; never mind about the group of 4 sitting behind us, it was me riding shotgun laughing at all his jokes enjoying the sights & the music. The tour was amazing! The pilot had lots of knowledge about the land, animals, fun facts, and more about the places we were flying over. We had a great time!

Our pilot Derek was the best. Super cool guy. Really made our flight a pleasure. His knowledge of the culture and the island were top-notch. And he was very fun to fly with for the "Maui Spectacular" flight package. I highly suggest the "Maui Spectacular" because you get to land on a mountain and feel a completely different climate (cool air) and vibe (silence). It was like we were on a secluded ranch in the mountains with no noise, no hustle, and bustle of the island. Just nature and quiet, and a beautiful view of the island and water. I have been on Blue Hawaiian helicopters 4 times now. I loved it every time. But this last flight with Derek was the best. Oh, I also recommend purchasing the camera footage from the helicopter because it is way better than what you can capture from your phone. No reflections from the cockpit etc. Also, it records the music and the pilot telling you the stories about what you are looking at.

So very sad! Arrived on time and had to wait for a party that was late. Once they got there, they bitched and moaned about not being together. As a result, our party of two was to be split to accommodate this obnoxious family's requests. Needless to say, we didn't want to be split and sit with this horrible group. Our flight was cancelled much to our dismay. If you have a ton of money and a big mouth you will love this company. If you don't and just want a nice excursion, forget it. We will never recommend or take a trip with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters EVER!

Took the West Maui / Molokai ride on 9/28 at 1015am for my wife's birthday. Was hoping to make her day with an extraordinary experience. Sadly this wasn't it. We had selected this company over many other cheaper options and was extremely disappointed. It would appear other groups had no more than 4 passengers for other flights while we had 6. Had 6 passengers total (1 pilot front, 2 passengers front and 4 passengers rear). We were in the right rear seats with my wife next to the window. About 80-90% of the ride my wife had only a view of the open ocean which wasn't great. Had a couple of turns that allowed her to see the scenery but the monotony of the open ocean quickly bored her to sleep for the last 20 mins of the ride. Shared my experience with front office staff and just received an apology about our experience. This was definitely the most expensive excursion for our vacation here in Maui and also the worst experience.

Awesome day! Helicopter and private coach tour is the only way to do the road to Hana

Tour from Maui was good, circa March 2018. Remember being intimidated though. Pilot looked surprised at me and said to put on headset. I did not challenge her or respond, but acquiesced and put on headset. I would have preferred a narration free flight. This is what I remember 5+ years later.

I was terrified before flying as I'm not a rollercoaster fan, but I'm so happy that I decided to try this experience and it was so awesome. The ride was smooth and once in a lifetime experience.

The helicopter tour was so much fun, we loved that we sat in the front seats. Our pilot was great! We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for an amazing Maui tour from above!

Blue Hawaiian ripped us off we wanted the movie tour and jurassic we paid o er 400 and only got the jurassic tour. At kaula ranch. The ranch is good just stay away from blue Hawaiian.

Had a great morning with Tim at the stick. Tim is a master narrator with a knowledge of geography and Hawaiian history. Saw whales, Waioloa Valley and all of the beautiful waterfalls. Safety was number one. Team was fun and professional. We especially appreciated the extra time to see the whales.

WARNING! Ring of fire is a scam! I called and asked if lava was flowing and was just to find out the day of flight after island hoping it has not been flowing for a long time. What a terrible company to lie to their customers!!

This was both my wife and my first time in a helicopter and first event in Maui. My wife was also extremely nervous about the flight. Well our pilot (Derek, great name) put her at ease. He was personable, friendly, supportive, funny, knowledgeable, and really made the flight a great experience. Talked a lot during the flight, but never made it seem like he was talking too much, and he knew when to be quiet. We were supposed to do a flight around Maui but due to wind conditions we went to Molokai and it was still a blast. Amazing views, he helped us spot Manta Rays, a pod of dolphins, and when a full 360 rainbow formed in front of us over the ocean we spent extra time looping around to get a better view. It had us in tears. He went above and beyond for us and it really set the tone for the rest of our vacation.

SCAM ALERT: We had our original reservation changed due to bad weather (ordered champagne full island tour). They offered to fully refund to us AFTER we arrived ($200 taxi round trip). Due to being in the hole $200 we agreed to a modified Molokai tour for $319 person by the receptionist Had an amazing time actually and the pilots were great. I get home from my Hawaii trip and check my credit card and was charged $399 a person. I called 3 times to try to get a refund and they basically run you in circle and promise to call back. NO ONE called me back even though records said they tried. Apparently receptionists can lie to you. Unfortunately learned a life lesson to ask for a physical receipt before leaving and not trust blue Hawaiian concierge where I originally booked. Now I'm forced to leave bad reviews and have pending dispute for a refund from my credit card. DONT TRUST any prices they offer.

Directions: I had eve earliest flight. Give yourself time to get to the airport. Please note: My gps sent us to the airport under a different address on google maps which was Paia but it was the same airport we were supposed to be at. This is common. Be prepared for hiccups and leave early. Look for the helicopter sign and follow it. Parking is free. Dress: I wore a sweater because it was cold . Perks: They take a photo of you with your phone and gave me a couple post cards as a gift! Great perk. About the flight: Great experience and felt safe. Guergot was very knowledgeable about the land and history. I have pilot training and from my knowledge and experience he is a well trained professional. Thanks for the safe and informative flight! Johanna Baskins is the worst representative you may see in your life. She is rude, unprofessional and she doesn't care about customers As for the Blue Hawaiian activities, do more research there are much better options out there specially if you don't have to deal with Johanna Baskins.

I am editing this review, so please read to the end. There is good news there. This was a breathtakingly disappointing experience. I booked the Molokai Sea Cliffs & West Maui flight, selected the early flight as the sun would be low and light up the cliffs and waterfalls. I was really excited to get some good photos. I asked, twice, to have a seat where I could take photos. What I ended up with was a tour of Haleakala, in a seat that faced the sea. Which also meant the sun was in my face. I had a great view of the treetops because I could not see the ocean due to the sun angle. The man in the front seat wore white and beige, so all I got were reflections out of his window. The men on the other side spent the flight leaning forward blocking the window. I did have a sliver of window behind the pilot's head and the door jamb, and a view of the sky through the roof and between the tall people in the front seat. When the absolutely fantastic pilot, Derek, circled so I could see the waterfalls, the reflections of the man in front insured I could see almost nothing. The other time the pilot circled, the sun was dead on, so the view was blocked. I am incredibly, crushingly, disappointed. It was a horrible experience of being put on a flight that I didn't select and in a seat with no view at all. And here are some of the "best" photos I could get. EDIT: I emailed Blue Hawaiian and they responded in the most phenomenal way - not only will they refund the flight cost, but they are also sending a t-shirt and video. Now THAT is the way to make up for a business error. I also doubt that this mistake will be made in the future. So...would I recommend Blue Hawaiian? Yes. They took responsibility for their error in the classiest way possible. In fact, if I get back to Hawaii, I will book the flight with them again.

Bought 3 tickets 6 months ago. I was informed I would have to pay an additional $170 fee because of my weight. I asked to have this fee waived, which blue hawaiian agreed to. The day of trip, they demanded the fee anyways. I refused and they would not give me a refund. Blue Hawaiian cares more about the $$, than the customer experience. Do not fly blue hawaiian Tip: unethical business practices, avoid this company Customer Support

Full bait and switch! Many helicopters tours on the island. Choose an alternate one. This one is the most expensive. I Booked the tour for my family, 2 adult and 2 kids. Was not informed that we would be sharing this ride with others. Subsequently my family was out in second row and middle seats. Kids did not get to enjoy the front premier row/seats. We're not informed of this at time of booking. Only told all info once we arrived and already locked in. Try an alternate tour company for a more intimate and honest experience. Other companies even do doors off.

Top of the line experience! We originally planned for the whole family to take a helicopter ride over Maui and Molokai islands, but our 11 y/o got cold feet about flying in a heli. So my hubby and eldest were planning to go. We all showed up together and were greeted by Luke. He got the two checked in while my youngest and I went to see the helicopters from the window. A few minutes passed and Luke came over to ask if he'd like to go see the helicopter while it was parked. My husband had told him about my son's concerns w/o us knowing. Luke took us over, showed my son what the heli is all about. He explained how he'd be buckled in and safe and talked about what a ride would be like. He said he hoped some day he'd come back and fly with Blue Hawaiian. As we walked back in, my son was already saying he'd like to go on a ride sometime. As luck would have it, the other family that was scheduled to go ended up bailing last minute, so both my youngest and I were provided with the option to go, which we gladly took. If Luke hadn't introduced the heli to my son, I'm certain he wouldn't have gone. Everyone we interacted with was so helpful and friendly So up we went! It was fabulous! Glenda our pilot is so experienced and knowledgeable about the islands and we learned a TON from her. She twists and turns so that everyone in the heli gets a view. It was a stunning experience! I especially enjoyed learning about Molokai and seeing all the gorgeous waterfalls. Mother Nature graced us with a couple rainbows along the way too. It was simply beautiful. Tips: Wear dark colored Clothing to avoid glare on the windows in your photos and view. Ask lots of questions...they know the answers. You can buy a video of your ride on usb at the end. If you're on the fence about this, go for it, and go Blue Hawaiian for the ultimate ride.

We can't say enough about how amazing our experience with Blue Hawaiian was. I proposed to my girlfriend on the private landing of the Maui Spectacular and everyone went above and beyond to make it this day perfect for the both of us. Our tour guide, Mike was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Maui and was very friendly. He remember everyone's name and did a wonderful job of keeping us all engaged individually throughout the trip, which I thought was awesome. You can tell he really enjoys his job! Our pilot Rick was awesome. He did an amazing job telling us about the island, and giving us the right amount of info. We saw whales, the crater, the waterfalls of Hana and the incredible landscape of the island. Mind-blowing experience, and a definite must if you haven't done it before.

Captain Mike was our guide during our 20 year anniversary flight around the whole island of Maui. Super nice guy. This was his retirement job he said. Pretty good gig, for a retirement job! You start off around the west side of the island and see the resorts, and then it is off to the crater, where everyone goes to see the sunset. So amazing. Then you go to the Hana side and see all the beautiful waterfalls and the Jurassic Park waterfall. We were with 4 other people (A family, with two kids) and they were cool too. This kid seemed like he was 9, but was asking high school questions. It was kind of funny. I would recommend asking a lot of questions to the pilot, since it is all on tape. We weren't going to get the $40 video of our tour, but I am glad I did. I have re-watched the hour video 4 times now. Maui is BEAUTIFUL! I is expensive, about $350 a ticket, but it was worth it!

AMAZING experience!! This company is top notch. Expensive tours, but worth it. We were lucky enough to go on the two island tour of West Maui & Molokai with a stop (weather permitting) for champagne to take in the views. Our pilot was Lee and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the island and experienced pilot. Breathtaking views while a great song selection plays in your headphones. The eco star helicopter was roomy with great views. Everyone should experience this at least once in their life!

We loved the West Maui / Molokai helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian! The operation was well run and efficient! Our pilot, Rick, offered nice narration throughout the tour without over doing it. The sea cliffs of Molokai are incredible and a must see if you take a helicopter tour. The scenery was breathtaking. We saw waterfalls thousands of feet high, beautiful coastlines and gorgeous scenery. The trip back along the west coast of Maui and through the Iao Valley gave us a great view of Maui. It was a great tour and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. This is a must do and worth the expense. Our tour lasted about 1 hour and we took Blue Hawaiian because it was the top rated helicopter tour company. couple of people had not flown in a helicopter before and the ride was very smooth and our pilot was fantastic. Our flight was on the Eco-Copter. Very quite with individual seats and room not to feel cramped in a bowl. We remained cool and comfortable the entire tour. Over all, our helicopter tour over West Maui and Molokai was fantastic!

Made reservations thru Expedia for this excursion. Rented a car to make 38 min drive to the airport. Too bad they don't offer pickup/drop off options. In front of the hangars there is paid parking which is weird. I think $3 a hour on a machine Once we entered Blue Hawaiian Helicopters we were sent next door to Hawaii Helicopters so I guess it's the same company. Organization - great Safety - great Inside staff - great Pilot - safe but his narration was poor or should i say boring. Not much for added stories or history about the area. Just blah. He did have great background Hawaiian music. The ride was slow which helped me feel comfortable. We toured the beach, mountains and island across the way. Beautiful scenery. We did buy the $26 video of our trip as a memory. Pick up a cool shirt as well since it was branded by Nike. Value is good but wished the pilot talked more. Will I be back? - Nope... I'm one and done...

Such an amazing experience with Blue Hawaiian this past Saturday! We flew on a rainy day and there were actually terrific waterfalls just cascading out of every valley in Hana. We even saw snow on the summit of Haleakala. Our pilot, Derek, just made the trip. Highly recommend this to any first time visitor to the islands or those who "have done it all."

The ride was smooth and the pilot was very knowledgeable. The helicopter appeared to be new and in perfect condition. The tour was part of a work sponsored event but would have been worth the cost if we were paying for it. Bring your camera for sure. Leave everything else in the car as nothing is allowed. No hats or bags allowed but they have complimentary lockers there for you. They offer a video of your specific tour (camera is mounted in each helicopter) for around $40. I bought it and thought it was well worth it. We saw most of the island and were amazed at the beauty. I highly recommend a helicopter tour (it's a must do) whether it's with Blue Hawaiian of another company.

Highly recommend Blue Hawaiian tours. Took both Maui tour along road to Hana and Circle of fire on the big island, Hawaii. All staff was polite and informative. Tours were well organized and the pilots give excellent commentary during flight. These were the highlights of our vacation!

My wife and I did the West Maui/Molokai tour. We had initially booked with another company but after reading reviews on Blue Hawaiian we switched and were quite glad we did. You get there 45 minutes early for safety brief. Only negative is you have to pay for parking but looks the same there for all companies. The video brief was quick but informative. They are definitely safety conscious. The helicopters are all quite new with great viewing windows and very comfortable seating. Our guide was excellent. Had a great knowledge of not only the areas we were flying over but Hawaii in general as my wife had lots of questions. We went after a lot of rain so the waterfalls were active and awesome. As the rain is only source of water for the waterfalls if you want to see them on this trip you should go after a rain as our pilot was really surprised at how many and active the waterfalls were. He was great to take the time to circle around certain areas to let both sides of the copter get a great view. Excellent views of the Maui beachfront on the way back to end the tour. Entire staff was very professional and I would highly recommend the company. Excellent value for the price and a great experience.

We had derrick for our pilot for the 50 minute tour of the north shore and molokai. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining providing much history of the early Polynesian influence on the islands. He took us up a number of valleys with spectacular waterfalls. crossing the pailolo passage back toward maui he spotted three whales, the first sighting of the year and early for the humpback migration. My wife was somewhat trepidatious about getting on the helicopter. He reassured her and got her on for an unusually smooth flight. She said it was the highlight of our trip. It was worth every penny and the entire operation is very friendly and extremely professional.

One of the most memorable experiences you'll ever had in you're entire life. The team was really great and made things safe and easy! We took the helicopter that went along the west side of Maui. We must have seen 4 rainbows, humpback whales, waterfalls, and so much more! The best way to see the island! Will recommend to everyone back home!

We took their helicopter tour to Hana and a their van tour back. It was well worth the money and we were blown away by both tour guides. The helicopter pilot, Chris is very nice and calm (a retired airforce pilot). Scotty, the van tour guide, shared with us all kinds of fascinating tidbits of info and took amazing pics for us with our phones during all the stops.

First time doing a tour with this company and it was absolutely AMAZING. Mike was our guide and was friendly, very experienced, and knowledge. Very easy streamline process from checkin until the ride was done. Beautiful scenery throughout the valleys and even got to see some wildlife. I'll definitely be back again!!

Mahalo Nui Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for making my birthday extra special. Me and my baby did the Maui spectacular. Around the entire island of Maui. Waterfalls and rainbows and cliffs and mountain beauty and Mars (Haleakala crater) and beautiful ocean, Hana Maui that I didn't have to drive and seeing the neighboring Island . It was really spectacular . Our pilot Spaghetti was very knowledgeable and handled the copter well when it got a little windy. Wheeew I was small kine panicking in the back He landed us on the mountain in a field where we can check out the beauty and drink Maui champagne . Nice added touch to the tour. This is my second Heli ride and my favorite one this far. Mahalo to all the staff and Pilots for helping us tourist make lasting memories. Aloha

Great family fun, you feel like you are in an aerial photography aircraft with stunning flyovers of mountain peaks, waterfalls like Jurassic Park, the tallest ocean cliff waterfall on the world, stingrays in the second largest barrier reef in the world. We did the Waterfalls of West Maui and Molokai, about an hour, and had pilot Mike Thatcher who was a wealth of information and was interactive.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour company is top notch, second to none!! Captain Rick super professional, made the flight so enjoyable! Also the vast knowledge of the island shared by Captain Rick was fantastic and perfectly timed as the flight progressed around the different area's of Maui. The ever changing Micro climates of each area of the island were so amazing! Blue Hawaiian & Captain Rick are a must to complete your Maui experience!

My husband and I took the complete island tour on Maui. We upgraded to front row seating. We both absolutely loved it. All of the staff is very professional and friendly. They ask that you arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled departure time so that they can get you checked in and then watch a safety video. We got there even before that and watched a couple of flights prep and take off. Once on the flight, the pilot, Tim, made sure to let us know what was happening, pointed out local areas of interest, and gave us a little history of the island. At the end, you can purchase a video on a thumb drive of your own trip (which I did not do). The views were fantastic. My pic does not do it justice. Not once during the entire experience did we feel ill at ease. I highly recommend. Definitely worthwhile.
