20 Best Places to Visit in Idaho, According to Locals
"A photo-worthy oasis reached by roughly a 45-minute paddle up the Snake River (most visitors launch from Banbury Rentals), the spring requires a paddleboard or kayak to access and offers refreshingly cool water—temperatures hover around 58 degrees even in summer—making a dip particularly rewarding upon arrival." - Lydia Mansel

What a spectacular view from above with it's amazing scenery. One of Idaho Fall's hidden gems that took our breath away. It looked surreal tucked deep hugging the Snake River. The Greenbelt is a system of trails with a waterfall and bridge where they have legal base jumping.

This spring is gorgeous well worth the trip. 2.5 hours from where I live. We took off from Banbury Hot springs boat launch. $10 parking fee. We had our own kayaks. Took close to an hour of paddling to go the 1.5 miles to Blue Heart. We hung out for a while then headed back. Plan on 3 to 4 hours from the time you launch at the boat ramp, depending on how long you hang out at the spring. We went on a Saturday, so it was fairly busy. I expected it to be a little more secluded than it was, but it was still worth it.

The Blue Heart Kayak people were phenomenal and helpful to ensure we were safe. The young gentleman working in the rental area was kind and a Saint. Go here to rent and save yourself the extra mile from Banbury to kayak.
My family had a lot of fun kayaking, even with the high winds. I did get stuck but was assisted by the gentlemen working in the rental place on his jet ski and would definitely go again when it isn't so windy. I wanted to come here for a year since I learned about it.
Now the Blue Heart Springs itself, wasn't all that amazing. It was a sight to see but not one that you could enjoy! I wish there was more of an area to hang out and not just linger in your kayak for. Still grateful for the experience.

Blue Heart springs was awesome. We went on a Sunday and there was 10 or so groups there, but it was big enough to have your own little area. Our kids loved it and it was so crazy to see the water go from cloudy to completely clear as soon as you get to Blue Heart springs. We had a great time.

On a road trip and we took a slight detour here! It was worth it but be ready to paddle! My only complaint was that they allow boats back there and so I was not a fan and having to maneuver the kayak so that it doesn’t hit the large boat. It’s already a small area so it felt crowded. However it was a fun and pretty location

Exquisite! And easy kayak or paddle board trip, gentle, scenic, pure water, lovely. Highly recommend. Look for the Sasquatch for the road to the launch/rental-you’ll see! Also need a whistle and life vest-they have them for rent if you need, very reasonable, very nice people.

Blue Heart Springs is refreshing swimming hole. Just a moderate paddle along the magnificent Snake River is this not so well hidden gem. Cold 58 degree pure turquoise blue water percolates through white Rhyolite Sand Magma below the warm black porous Basaltic Rock from a lava flow 15,000 years ago.
