Amazing suite, lovely views, excellent and friendly service. This BnB is located right in the heart of Solomons Island, but is just tucked back and away from the road enough to feel private and removed from all the surrounding activity. Would definitely stay again!

Had a special family get together here for a couple nights & truly fell in love with this beautiful B&B in the heart of Solomons Is, MD. If you are in town for the night or for a week, this is a great place to stay! The view from the deck is of Solomons Harbor & the sunrises are stunning! A walk across the street presents a fantastic sunset! Reagan, the innkeeper, is absolutely amazing! Great care is taken to pull out the stops for clients. She has a long history with this waterfront home & her dedication to it & her guests is hard to beat! Will definitely be coming back!

What an amazing place to stay! The view is OUTSTANDING and the location couldn't be any more central to all the Best Places on the very quaint Solomon's Island! Regan was a fantastic Innkeeper and I can't wait to stay there again this November, when we'll rent the Whole House out, to accommodate my family visiting from out of town! LUXURY WATERFRONT ACCOMMODATIONS, for almost the same price as the local hotels!

We had a lovely stay at Blue Heron. Wonderful views from the back deck. Regan is a fantastic innkeeper and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was fantastic! The room was very nice with views of water all around and the bed was comfortable. It was the perfect getaway from the city 🙂 Thanks Regan. We will see you again!

I recently spent three delightful nights there with my wife and another couple. ||We arrived by boat and were greeted by John, one of the owners. He offered to help us with the two things most boat owners need: a ride to the liquor store or West Marine! He was very kind and we appreciated him checking on us and our boat. His daughter and the other owner, Regan, was also quick to check on us as we were setting up lines and fenders and provided a brief on our rooms and the check in procedure. ||The Blue Heron B & B is centrally located, and all the local top restaurants and bars are within walking distance. If you are coming by boat the pier has water and 30/50 Amp service. Gas and Diesel is at the marina just on the other side of the Yacht Club. Ice/beer/water etc. is only a few blocks away or at the fuel pier. ||Without a doubt the highlight of the stay were the breakfasts that Regan fixed each morning. They were spectacular and very filling. We rarely needed lunch! I especially loved the Biscuits & sausage gravy along with fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs (or any way you like them) and cheesy grits with scallions and paprika! YUM….||You will see that some of the older reviews are not that flattering. Much has changed at the Blue Heron B & B. If you want to treat yourself to a great B & B in the Solomons, stay at the Blue Heron B & B. I promise you will be thrilled with the warm hospitality, terrific breakfasts, central location, and great value.|

Google
Beautiful B&B, staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating. They have a great porch overlooking Back Creek with a dock and paddle boards, food was delicious, bedrooms are beautiful, and located right down in the heart of Solomons so it's easy to walk just about anywhere on the island. But seriously, can't say enough about how kind and generous the hosts are. Definitely worth a visit.

With my dear wife, we secured a room overlooking the piers at Solomon’s Island. It really is a suite that includes a most comfortable sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The king sized bed is firm and sits so high that my wife needed a stool to reach the top. Everything is so clean.||Our host made sure that our every need was met, including to make sure we had no food allergies or dislikes. At the appointed time we came down and enjoyed a filling and delicious breakfast. It was enough to hold us until dinner 6 hours later. ||The dining/living room is well decorated and comfortable. Overlooking the water, watching the boats and water birds was our opportunity to reconnect and reflect on our marital years.|

We absolutely loved staying here! It was my first time staying at a BnB and the Blue Heron exceeded all expectations! It was our ten year anniversary and they had Prosecco, flowers and chocolate covered strawberries in our room waiting for us. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the water and we were able to walk to all the local bars and restaurants during our stay. Each morning the owner had breakfast ready for the guests and beginning at 8am each day you could just smell all of the amazing food being prepped cooked down in the kitchen. The room we stayed at was amazing it had a huge bathroom with a dressing room separate from the bedroom and even a attached sitting area. I’m grateful for the amazing experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to just escape the city for a few days. It truly was a memorable experience and I can’t wait to go back one day!

Yelp
I don't have a single complaint! Regan was an amazing host and all of her breakfasts were delicious!! My room was cute, clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is ideal for walking to all of the nearby restaurants and attractions and you can't beat the view from the common area balcony. I could sit out there for days! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
I simply can't recommend Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast. We did not stay overnight. We held my daughter's bridal shower here last weekend and while the person overseeing the establishment while the owners were away was very nice, the amount of dust and filth was horrible. The bathrooms were not clean, the furniture was so dirty and dusty and the kitchen was downright disgusting. We did not think we would have to clean the areas we were using. I am hoping the owner wants future business and will perform thorough cleanings to prevent another review like mine.

Yelp
Great weekend getaway right on the water. This place has everything you need and staff was wonderful. Home made breakfast out on the porch overlooking the boats!! They also allow dogs. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
What a pleasure and a treat to stay here! Booked this gem for our wedding night in October, 2015 and was lucky enough to have my best girlfriends from San Diego to be able to stay as well. they occupied the top floor suite while my husband and I had the luxurious king suite. Reagan is a fantastic and very accommodating hostess and met all of our needs completely. We also had our wedding photos taken throughout the grounds, inside and out and they came out beautiful. Breakfast was just right too.We live in Lusby and would gladly stay here again just because and certainly recommend it to others. Top notch!!

Yelp
We randomly stopped here on our way to what was supposed to be winter camping. Walking past this place, we initially didn't think much of the outside, then realized that the B&B sat right next to the water and had it's own dock. The bedroom views are amazing and the shower was one of the best I've ever experienced. It included a steam shoot that made it into a sauna, and a full body shower head. The service was also great, because of a cancelation, we were upgraded to a suite for no additional cost, and breakfast was scrumptious. We will definitely be back in the off season. I can imagine this place is packed in the summer. There are only 4 rooms.

Yelp
So we never actually stayed here. We made a reservation, sat there thinking 'what the hell?' and moved hotels. We were in solomons Island for a wedding and when my Aunt was looking for a place to stay she called and explicity detailed that we needed accomidation for four adults-four grown older adults. They endorsed their 1 suite and when we again stated so this suite will sleep FOUR GROWN OLDER ADULTS they said yes. Well first I was called in to haul everyone's stuff to the top floor even though I was not staying there since it was the dead of summer and there only very narrow stairs not wide enough to hold your suite case to your side reaching about what would be a third floor level. I fiddled with the key and since I grew up in Maryland I knew what to expect: that pleasent blast of airconditioning hitting my face....to which there was none. Okay so its 100 degrees with 80% humidity maybe they don't usually have the suite open regularly so it is not on. I went to the wall to turn it on, then I realized in this essentially an attic they had one vent that was over the one bed. Luckly my Aunt from Idaho brought a table fan from the store and after making it up the stairs sat infront of the fan waiting for it to get cool. We all did, the rellief never came. In this silence only unique to five adults sitting silently in an attic in the middle of a Maryland summer waiting for relief of sweet-sweet ariconditiong that would never come, we realized something else. There was only one bed and the second "bed" was a pull out from the couch nay the love seat. It wasn't even a full size couch it was a love seat. Then we realized that other things too like the ridiculously small bathroom that would not have allowed the 6'4'' groom to take a shower. In the end between the unairconditioned room that only would have gotten semi cold if we blasted ice over the couple sleeping in the bed; the love seat pull out that sleeps two like my couch in college would sleep two when I would tell my drunk buddies that they could stay at my place because I did not want to drive extra to bring them home; the dangerously narrow and unusable stairs for my Aunt with MS; and the disporpotionate bathroom accomidations. It was a no go. I am only giving them a second star because it we did not actually stay here. P.S. Please note I am not taking away stars because it was hot. I grew up in Maryland and I get it, but since I grew up in Maryland I know this is not an uncommon occurance and even the motel 6 has proper air.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere and the rooms are really nice. We stayed just for one night but we really enjoyed it. We will come back for a relaxing time.

Yelp
My husband and I spent one night at the Blue Heron and had a great experience. The room was beautiful, the view from the balcony amazing and we were able to have a fantastic dinner across the street. Reagan was a friendly and sweet hostess and she served a delicious breakfast. All in all, a very relaxing and refreshing experience and we'd welcome another night or two in the future!

Yelp
I have been to the Blue Heron B&B 3 times, and each was an exceptional experience. The food is amazing and always changing, the service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance/view is unbelievable. I love eating dinner on the balcony and watching the view of the river. It;s unbeatable. I have never stayed the night at the Blue Heron B&B, but judging from the dinner experience I'm sure it would be excellent. I would recommend anyone from the Southern Maryland area try it at least once. A great date night!

Yelp
It was the first time i visited a B&B and by far the best place I have ever stayed overnight. The innkeeper was away so Larry ( I think that was his name) took care of us. Larry was AMAZING! His personality and attention to detail was fantastic. He greeted me by name. Assisted me with luggage and extended his hospitality to me and my guest to the best regard. I can't say enough good things about him. Not to mention breakfast was so good I could slap myself. The only negative side was the coffee maker didn't work so I didn't get my morning coffee. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone. I had the King Room 1 which had a steam shower to die for and a balcony with a gorgeous view on the water. My guest and I sat outside sipping a bottle of wine to the sunset. As far as food. Almost across the street there is a quaint seafood spot with one of the best crabcrakes and orange crushes I ever tasted. There are other spots that are within walking distance. To say the least. I have to give a huge thanks to Larry for making me and my guest stay the best experience I have ever had.
