I recently spent three delightful nights there with my wife and another couple. ||We arrived by boat and were greeted by John, one of the owners. He offered to help us with the two things most boat owners need: a ride to the liquor store or West Marine! He was very kind and we appreciated him checking on us and our boat. His daughter and the other owner, Regan, was also quick to check on us as we were setting up lines and fenders and provided a brief on our rooms and the check in procedure. ||The Blue Heron B & B is centrally located, and all the local top restaurants and bars are within walking distance. If you are coming by boat the pier has water and 30/50 Amp service. Gas and Diesel is at the marina just on the other side of the Yacht Club. Ice/beer/water etc. is only a few blocks away or at the fuel pier. ||Without a doubt the highlight of the stay were the breakfasts that Regan fixed each morning. They were spectacular and very filling. We rarely needed lunch! I especially loved the Biscuits & sausage gravy along with fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs (or any way you like them) and cheesy grits with scallions and paprika! YUM….||You will see that some of the older reviews are not that flattering. Much has changed at the Blue Heron B & B. If you want to treat yourself to a great B & B in the Solomons, stay at the Blue Heron B & B. I promise you will be thrilled with the warm hospitality, terrific breakfasts, central location, and great value.|
