We were headed to a performance at Capital Theater and needed a quick lunch. We happened to find this restaurant. It was awesome! Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and the food was excellent. We had about 45 minutes and were a little hesitant to try a sit down meal during lunch time on a Friday. We had chips and salsa almost immediately, and our food was out in 10 minutes. We had plenty of time to eat and enjoy our meal and still make it to our performance. The location is hidden and you do need to go down stairs to get there. I’m not sure if they have a different access for wheelchairs. But it is worth looking into. We will definitely find a reason to go back soon!!!

The food quality was amazing. This was my first visit to Salt Lake City and we were looking for some good burritos and this is right in the heart of downtown SLC, very close to the convention center. The portion size was perfect. PS: Please be prepared for long wait times and you cannot leave the area, as they don't have the ability to call/text when it's your number. We had to wait for 40 minutes, as it was a busy convention day, but it was totally worth the wait. Shrimp fajita was delicious! And the Cadillac margarita was extremely refreshing!!

Google
Truly cool and authentic Mexican-style restaurant for many reasons - the decor, the knowledgeable staff and most importantly the FOOD! The menu is extensive, but our waitress was super helpful and brought a Mole sampler so we could decide. The margaritas are awesome and go down smooth. Enjoy!

Make sure you make your reservation the day before or even two days before I can not stress that enough. The food was amazing, a huge selection on the menu. I was so impressed, too, with the large variety of options for vegetarians. We had an hour wait but that's only because we didn't know we needed a reservation. I'd go back, and I'd recommend it to others' hands down. The food portions are extremely large and the price is very low for what you get. I feel like food portions are too big in most places, and that's why Americans are overweight and are always overeating. I ended up only eating half and saved the rest for my husband and i to eat for breakfast before we had to fly out. My one meal was basically enough for 3 meals 😋. There are a few changes I think they should make. Start a tab for drinks for those who are waiting and make the waiting area more inviting and comfortable. it felt like we were discarded to a closet. Also, I understand the waitstaff is rushing to get service to the tables quickly and efficiently, but one thing was lacking. personality. Get personable with the customers. It felt as if we were being shuffled in and out as quickly as possible so the table could be cleaned and the next group moved in. Let us get to know you and feel comfortable and welcome.

Best food in town, an authentic experience. German treated us like family, and we had a great time. We’ll be back for sure

The food was delicious! The location is really cool as well. Service was excellent even in a very busy night.

We've been coming to Blue Iguana for years now on our annual yearly visits to Salt Lake City. It's conveniently located (convenient if you're at a downtown hotel) right in the heart of the city. It serves excellent, well-seasoned and well-prepared Mexican-American food at reasonable prices. The salsa roja cruda that comes with totopos when you sit down to peruse the menu has a nice taste of Mexican oregano. The chicken tostadas I had tonight are among the best I've ever had, with tender pieces of chicken cooked in a red chili sauce on a crunchy corn tortilla, topped with queso fresco, chopped lettuce, tomato, red bell pepper, and slices of a smoky grilled chili pepper with a little piquancy to it. All this was then topped with sour cream. My dinner companion chose the carne asada burrito and said it was outstanding. Both dishes are pictured below. There are a number of moles not often found on Mexican-American menus, all of which are good, including several made with ground almonds and one with pumpkin seeds. The Mexican decor is warm and appealing, with lots of bright colors, and service is unfailingly solicitous, with polite, friendly wait staff prooviding it.

We have been coming here for so long! Last night I ordered steak fajitas and my husband ordered the seafood fajitas… my steak was so dry, ZERO flavor and the peppers and onions were like mush. Very disappointed in our meal last night. Below is my husband food ( good ). I didn’t get a photo of my food, I decided I was finished after a few bites and had it taken away:

Yelp
Had lunch with a party of 8. Easily sat us; restaurant was pretty bit but not overly busy for an early Saturday afternoon. All of our food was great - calamari tacos, carnitas tacos, chile rellenos. The star for me was the chile verde. So much flavor and sneaky hot but not too spicy for me. Would definitely go back just for the chile verde. Service was really fast too. Parking garage is right next to the restaurant and Blue Iguana will validate.

Yelp
The place was SLAMMED when we showed up around 9 pm. There was a musician singing, and people tucked into tables all over. Our group of four ended up at a table on an outside alcove about halfway below street level. It was a little tight but the chairs were comfy and the ambiance, cozy. I'd give the service 3.5 stars. Mostly attentive, but not overly friendly. This could be largely the result of the packed restaurant. Food was decent. Salsa was tasty. Chips were warm. Salsa came in a little pepper shaped container. That was a cool touch. All the things you expect from a tex-mex style place.

Yelp
Good Mexican food! Visited on a Friday night around 7.30 and had a 30-minute wait. They had live music which was nice! The drinks were okay, my strawberry margarita had good flavor, but not strong at all. The complimentary chips and salsa were good, the salsa was yummy but the chips could have been warmer. I ordered the Tapatio combination platter and it was huge and delicious!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I went to Blue Iguana with a group of girlfriends for one of our friends birthday celebrations! I've been here before but it was several years ago so it was nice to go back & check it out again, update my review. Our table was very odd, we were in the very front foyer area of the restaurant. Seemed like a very odd place for a tablet to be. We had reservations, which made it so we were able to get seated quickly. The service here was so fast! We ordered & had our food delivered to us in phenomenal timing! One of the girls actually got there & ordered probably 10 minutes after us & her food came out with everyone else's food as well. I love that they have their own vegetarian portion of the menu. I ordered the rice & avocado enchiladas. In my head this was guacamole with the rice but in reality it was just rice in a corn tortilla with avocado sliced up on top. I didn't love this dish. It felt like an abundance of rice for this meal & there was nothing in the enchiladas to really hold them together since it was just rice. The meal also came with black beans & I wish I would have sub'd these out for refried beans. I likely would have preferred just plain cheese enchiladas. But I know for next time. The rice was really good but it just wasn't the vibe to have rice enchiladas. Two of the ladies got Al Pastor tacos & they thought the pork was a little fatty & the shells also broke really easily. Overall they said it was okay & they loved the beans & rice on this dish. Two other friends got fajitas, one chicken & one steak. They thought the veggie to meat portions was really good. They seemed to really like these dishes & went home with leftovers. Two other friends ordered Carnitas & cheese enchiladas. I didn't hear much about these two meals, but I didn't hear any complaints either & cheese enchiladas are hard to screw up! Overall it was okay, service was really fast, food was decent as a whole, parking was free with validation, which I also appreciate in Salt Lake. Would check it out again but definitely would try something different for myself.

Yelp
Very mediocre food with long wait times and poor service. The atmosphere is cute but nothing too special. Really wanted to like this place but sadly... probably wouldn't come back here.
google avatar

Stacey B.

Yelp
Not even close to Mexican food. We had asada tacos, Tonga tacos, and a steak quesadilla and all were mediocre at best. Meat was unseasoned, tacos came with bell peppers on them and rice was inedible. The food was bland and dry. I will say the server and hostess were warm and welcoming but the food was just not good.

Yelp
If I was a filmmaker, this would very easily be a location where I'd want to make a movie. I'm not sure what it would be about, or who would be cast, but the location would be this restaurant. From the unique covered staircase that leads to the front door to the impeccable colors and the quaint European patio, Blue Iguana is a vibe! Most of us come here to eat, however, which was also the reason for my visit last night. They take reservations, a requirement for our fairly large group, so we happily booked a table and enjoyed a meal before our show a couple blocks away. There's a little waiting room that we sat it for a few minutes while we waited for our table to be ready. It's right by the restrooms. Service was good-I was grateful (and a little surprised) that the server was so willing to do split checks. I expected that they would not be cool with that since our group was a little larger. I enjoyed the shredded beef tacos-although I had to scoop off the cheese. I should have known, but since it wasn't listed on the menu, I erroneously assumed it wouldn't have cheese on them. Next time I'll be sure to ask. My wife had the enchiladas and didn't care for them at all, but it could be personal preference. We agreed that we'd be willing to go again, just made adjustments to our orders. The chips and salsa were pretty good-I especially liked that there were several small containers of salsa, so we didn't all have to share one. I'd go back in a heartbeat, just to sit out on that patio and imagine myself on the set of some movie being filmed in our little downtown Salt Lake City. Care to join me?

Yelp
Table we were seated at was terrible. We were placed at the top of the stairs in the walkway, up against a pillar. They wouldn't move us claiming all the many empty tables were for group reservations. Yet, none got filled other than 2-3 tables to couples. Our server was friendly & attentive. We tried the choriqueso & it was really good! Had the carne asada burrito, it was mediocre. Hubby had the combo plate of enchiladas, tostada, & taco. It was ok. Margarita was pretty good.

Yelp
This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I have visited. We ordered several items but because of hunger and how tasty the food was I completely forgot to take photos until it was too late. We ordered the seafood fajita, Amarillo mole with shrimp, Chile con queso and jalapeño stuffed with shrimp and cheese (can't remember the name). Everything tasted amazing and fresh. Would love to go back again if we are ever in town.

Yelp
My colleague and I were recommended to visit Blue Iguana by our customers. We went to the downtown SLC area and found the venue, but only after paying for parking on the street. There is a lot next door where Blue Iguana will validate parking. It's not the easiest restaurant to find if you're not familiar with the area or the restaurant itself. Through a glass door, down the stairs and there you are!! We found our customers were there as well just finishing up lunch. Very interesting decor with many Mexican style ornaments, statues, paintings and vibrant colors. Our waiter was German who allowed my colleague to sample the different Mole offerings. He wouldn't allow her to pick more than one Mole for her lunch so she picked Mole Poblano. She said it was good. I went for the seafood enchiladas where were very good and very filling. Very nice cream sauce outside with bay scallops, small shrimp and fish inside. It was a bit pricey, but the value was good.

Yelp
Felt rushed. We were told we had to be out of there within a certain amount of time since a volleyball team was coming in. Waitress was highly attentive because of this. We barely sat down when she first came around to take drink orders and ask if we were ready.  Food came out fast too but unfortunately, fortunately nothing the 5 of us ordered really stood out - taste wise.  Pretty standard. Some parts seemed like it needed more seasoning or overcooked or over reheated (like the rice). Plates were a good size starting at about $15 a plate. However, the size of my son's Supreme burrito is noteworthy.  Needless to say he had meals for the next FEW days cuz of that monster!  There is plenty parking in the garage next door and they validate.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here for my son's birthday lunch. When we walked in it looked busy but obviously not at full capacity. However, when we checked in at the Host Stand, we were told they can accommodate our part of 5 but we need to be done in 1 and a half hours since there was a big group coming in. So we sat down and noticed other people were getting sat down around where we were sitting as well we were wondering if they also got told the time limit. The waitress came over several times to ask us if we were ready. We had never been there before so we were still trying to decide. In the meantime we got complimentary chips and salsa. Our dishes came out pretty quick. The birthday boy got the Biggest burrito on the menu. It even has a challenge that if you finish it, you got free dessert. That thing was HUGE. It was really like a newborn baby! I think everything but the kitchen sink was in there! As for the rest of us, the food was ok. The tacos were not crispy ( we had no choice -they were all soft) but when we attempted to eat them, the tortillas were so soggy so they immediately fell apart. 3 of us got taco plates and we all ended up having to eat the "stuffing" with forks. The rice was overcooked or old cuz we got some crunchy parts. So I don't recommend the tacos is u felt like a "real taco". One nice thing about our meal tho was the fried ice cream they gave my son for a complimentary bday dessert. Much appreciated! Parking is the garage next door and they validate.

Yelp
We had a party of 20. I had reservations for about a month. I got there super early because I knew I needed more chairs. They were not great at working with me. It was a little stressful being I was hosting all of these people. Our waitress was great! Food came out pretty quick. Not many of my guests were happy with the food. I hated the chicken in my tacos. Chips and salsa were great. I think next year when I am back we will go somewhere else.
google avatar

Chastity H.

Yelp
Super cute and clean atmosphere, loved the decor!! The food was delicious. Being Vegetarian I really appreciated their large selection of Vegetarian options. I had the Veggie Taco's they were the best I've had yet!! Our server was very attentive, kept refills coming and very polite.
google avatar

Tammy J.C. D.

Yelp
Super cute spot & great food. Chips & salsa hit the spot. I got the Chile Verde Chimichanga and it did not disappoint! Meat was so tender & flavorful. Server was just the right amount of attentive, our girls lunch went smoothly and we were in and out in an hour even though it was a bit busy in a Saturday afternoon.

Yelp
Had an event at the Delta Center and wanted to park and walk to dinner. Found this restaurant which touts itself as a spinoff of the classic Red Iguana, one of our fave's in SLC. In hindsight we should have walked over to RI-2 which was not that far. Service and food were, as the stars indicate - ok. I had the pork tinga plate while the while had a chile verde chimicahanga burrito. This was also slow roasted pork. Both were quite filling but nothing to write home about. My flour tortillas were quite thick and tasteless, really not worth the calories. I also ordered the Iguanarita, "Voted best margarita in Utah" and all I could think was that the voters who did this lacked any taste buds. Over sweet with nothing going for it other than some tequila. I knew that being next to the convention center it was focused and aimed at the tourist (one and done) crowd and so in that sense I was forewarned. I will say the prices were reasonable which was the highlight of the evening.

Yelp
Coming back to Blue Iguana reminds me of days past. Such a jewel and great place to eat. The service here is top notch. The servers care and are very attentive to you needs. The food is 11/10. Tastes and quality is one of the best I have had. That is saying a lot. A tip.... MAKE A RESERVATION. Parties tonight had been waiting up to 3 hours. I would say that the average cost per plate is about $18. You will not be disappointed. Make a reservation and enjoy one on the best places in downtown SLC.
google avatar

Raena L.

Yelp
Loved the food here! Very impressed with the molcajete - it's a great size for 2 people. The steak and shrimps were our favorite! Doesn't come with enough tortillas though so we got an extra order which they kindly gave to us for free! Loved the chips and salsa as well. The ambience is nice, a cute restaurant. Service is nice as well! Menu clearly states what dishes are gluten free too.
google avatar

Shawn F.

Yelp
I don't know where to start. I have liked my visits to Blue Iguana in the past - but today definitely missed the mark. Our server had a bad attitude from the start. Everyone is entitled to their own bad days, so this review is less about that. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and asked for it to be spicy. $2 up charge and they sprinkled a couple jalapeños on top. Other local Mx restaurants have been able to do this with no issue. Especially if they already have a spicy margarita in the menu. But the real lowlight of this review is the Grande Margarita. This is easily the WORST drink I've ever paid for. Tasted worse than a Navy grog - which is designed to taste like sh!t. Praying that the next time is better. But seriously - someone should taste test that $16 Marg that tastes like porta-potty water.
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
Always nice visiting the Blue Iguana. It's sort of tucked away & out of sight, but once found, it reveals a great place for delicious Mexican. Great patio outside and cozy on the inside. Favorites for me are the enchiladas and definitely, the really, really good Mole plates. Service is very good too.
google avatar

Kyle R.

Yelp
The restaurant itself sits back off the road, but have signs that easily help you find it. You descend down stairs to the restaurant, eating inside or out. The wait staff had already set up our table- we made a reservation. The seafood enchiladas were great. The Mahai- Mahai was done well and seasoned. The chicken tacos were wellll worth it. Chorizo and shrimp Tacos were also very good. Everything was filling and the portions were just right. The margaritas were fanatic (we had the Peach and Strawberry). The service was good, all staff were congenial.
google avatar

Joanne S.

Yelp
Had lunch here while in town for a conference, the steak quesadilla was great as was their peach margarita, staff was very attentive. Our group stayed for hours, great service.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
So the service was not the best, the cheese Queso was not the best, the margaritas were again not the best and last but not least I thought the fajitas sucked. However, i'm spoiled rotten. I frequently visit some of the best Mexican restaurants in the world back in Orange County California so who am I to judge this nice restaurant. If you're in the area and you're not spoiled rotten like me then this is a great Mexican restaurant. If you come here and you compare it to the awesomeness we have back in Orange County California then you might not agree with my five star review . The owners and the managers, I think you guys could do better!!
google avatar

Colby K.

Yelp
Absolutely love the food here. The atmosphere is great and the service is fantastic. Have been here more times than I can count from small to large groups and the food and service is consistent. My only complaint is they don't have a spicy salsa but that's more of a preference!
google avatar

Barry J.

Yelp
The food, service and ambience is great . The pablano plate was delicious and the pacifica beer was refreshing
google avatar

Hannah F.

Yelp
Not bad, but not great. Blue Iguana is iconic as far as Mexican food in SLC goes and big for tourists. This place draws a crowd immediately upon opening and they even sell shirts and sweatshirts if you're interested in their merch. I ordered an Horchata, the Choriqueso, and the Steak Fajitas. It wasn't the worst, but it could have been better. My steak was overcooked and tasted rubbery which was a bummer! Does Blue Iguana live up to the hype? To me, no. But you may see it differently!
google avatar

Megan A.

Yelp
This was a decent place to grab a bite in the downtown SLC area. It was a quick 5 minute walk from my hotel, kinda hidden behind the mall. If you didn't know it was there, it'd be easy to keep walking right past. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs in an old historic building. As you walk downstairs, there's a fantastic looking patio, and I'm sure it's great during the summertime (It was way too cold to sit outside). The interior was so bright and festive. There is a ton of food to choose, maybe a little too much, because I had a hard time deciding, but I settled on the fajita combo and a margarita. The staff was pretty friendly and the place was pretty clean. Overall, the food and margarita were ok. The fajitas and rice were a bit bland. Also, the guacamole, sour cream, and pico fixings were a bit small. The meal was nothing special to write home about, but all-in-all, I had a nice visit. I'm in town often for work, and I'd go back.
google avatar

Steph S.

Yelp
Ambiance is great with outdoor seating where I was seated. The restaurant is downstairs and I felt like I was in a garden at my table. The food was delicious and I probably could've eaten here a few more times during my stay because I wanted to try multiple menu items.
google avatar

Misty A.

Yelp
Decadent! Ask for a sample of the mole sauces. They are so kind and will bring it with the chips. Authentic wonderful food and a great atmosphere. Server was great, it's all yummy!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Very very very disappointed because the food was actually good. Ordered a side of jalapeños with my meal, & before our order came she dropped off jalapeños to the table across from us, 5 minutes later our food arrived- I asked for my side of jalapeños & I shit you not this lady went to the other table TOOK THEIR JALAPEÑOS & gave it to me. Both parties couldn't believe it, we just stared at each other. I wish I got her name but she only came around ONCE & when she came to greet us she never said hi how are yall, her name, NOTHING. SHITTTTTTY service, & for that I'll never be back.
google avatar

Darren F.

Yelp
We went for my girlfriends birthday dinner earlier this month and had their chicken mole plate which unfortunately must have had some raw or undercooked chicken since later that night we were both super sick and were sick for the next 2-3 weeks. When we went to the doctor they said we got ecoli which we got from blue iguana. This ruined the rest of our Utah trip and pretty much the rest of the month. Be careful if you eat here I know we are never coming here again!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
We just ate here last night. Parking will most likely cost you a few dollars if there is a convention or game happening nearby. The food was decent enough but nothing to necessarily write home about. We had the steak fajitas, cheese enchiladas & steak taco salad. The margaritas were the best part of the meal, highly rec one of those guys! The most unfortunate part of our visit is that they had a HUGE party, I am talking 50+ people deep eating & gathering here. Even still, they told us our wait would be about 45 minutes. It was more than that but it's okay, we patiently waited our turn. However, by the time our food came, they were closing & we were rushed to finish, pay & leave. If you don't want to allow time for your patrons to enjoy their meals, perhaps don't seat people so late & cut off the wait list earlier. I would give them one more chance when they aren't catering to such a large group & see if the service improves.
google avatar

Chance V.

Yelp
We were just trucking from state to state and decided to walk around downtown and stumbled across this place. The vibe was all there! Love the creativity and ambiance of the place. Salsa was yummy! My husband ordered the beef enchiladas and chicken tacos. And I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas. Both yummy and huge portions! They gave me 2 tortillas for my fajita and I asked for more and was charged for it. Which is fine. Most places they will just give you an extra tortilla. Service was just ok. The waitress seemed as if she didn't want to be there. And wasn't friendly. However if I'm r just off of food I would definitely come back. Service made me take a star away. Until next time!

Yelp
Great food and great place to have a good rest of day with very well seasoned meat and exquisite flavor. Doing a trip to Utah from Southern California for business I found this place and wanted to check it out and ended to be really good place to have excellent food Service was prompt and attentive The ambience was pleasant on a clean summer day. The patio is a very nice place to have company and enjoy the afternoon with great choices of food. I will definitely go back on my return to Utah next couple weeks
google avatar

Yelp
This was a fun place to dine at, they had a mariachi band playing while we dined. I loved their decore. I ordered enchiladas with an alcoholic beverage. Both were very good. The service was good. The only con is the parking. But overall a fun place to visit.
google avatar

Alyssa F.

Yelp
Tip: make a reservation! I didn't think I'd need one for a Wednesday evening but there was about a 45 minute wait, and they have a small waiting room that can get pretty packed quickly. Nonetheless, we tried the beef tacos and the chorizo, pineapple and shrimp tacos! The pros for me were the large variety of options, good service, and good flavors! The only major downside was the tortillas were pretty soggy, to the point where my tacos fell apart and I had to make a bowl type situation out of it. Otherwise, the restaurant and patio is super cute!
google avatar

Felix P.

Yelp
For real Mexican food in a very cool setting! The tamales were fantastic! Every entree we tried was good and the wait staff is very attentive. Good margaritas, which is half the battle! You won't be disappointed...but you might have a hard time finding the front door!
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
I ate here about 20 years ago and fell in love. They have a Tinga Chimichanga that I get and it is delicious. Someone told me this place went out of business and they were wrong. They are a multiple award winning Mexican restaurant and they just opened a new location in the Salt Lake City International Airport. They have great drinks too.
google avatar

Emi B.

Yelp
Visited here due to the reviews on Google and ordered takeout of the salmon salad. The food was plastic wrapped but slightly leaked, so be aware of the potential clean up. Still the food tasted good, however I felt like the price was slightly high ($18+ with tax). One of the greeters wasn't the best, but Ruth was a sweetheart. Service took longer than expected, but this might have been due to the crowd. Place was pretty crowded for a weeknight. The ambiance was lively and was on the louder side.
google avatar

Amal A.

Yelp
The food was delicious!! The service was a bit slow but that was remedied by the tasty food! Will definitely be back here again.
google avatar

Jackie B.

Yelp
We had dined at the Red Iguana so we wanted to try the blue on our last night. The food was good, but didn't have the same flare as the red. Also a much larger location and it felt short staffed. While our server was lovely, and friendly, there were long wait times for food and drinks. The live music was nice.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying the restaurant known as the "Best Mexican food in Utah." It's a bold statement that I really wanted to put to the test especially since Mexican food is something I eat frequently and is really good back at home. That's why I was set on a mission to give it a try! It was difficult to get in for the restaurant as the first day we tried they were all booked for the night. Luckily we made reservations for the following day to give it a try. You can only make reservations in person as they don't answer the phones!! I found the location of the restaurant to definitely add to the appeal. It's located in a literal back alley and you have to go down steps to enter (certainly not something you see restaurants located in Florida). When we finally got a chance to give it a try it was certainly packed but our reservations worked! I was hungry and Im glad the table gets chips and salsa to start out! The salsa was great! As we were all looking through the drink menu we saw the fishbowl margarita which was called a different name but that's the name I am giving it. Two of us decided to give it a try. I got the strawberry flavor. When it arrived the rest of the table was certainly jealous of our huge drinks. It was definitely an appeal of being overly large. However, the drink was not strong once so ever and really didn't taste like it had much tequila if any in it. I was very disappointed. Maybe it a utah thing that they have to water down the drink due to its huge size? When I came to the food, I went with the beef burrito which came with all the toppings as well as rice and refried beans. The burrito was great and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely consider getting it again if I came back. Overall, the blue iguana didn't live to the hype. I loved its location, it definitely had a crowd, but the drinks were just not good enough for a Mexican restaurant. I expect the margaritas to be top notch especially when it's proclaimed the best in the state (Maybe it's the only Mexican restaurant in Utah?). I did love the burrito though so if you are in the mood for Mexican food and not drinks I would recommend making a reservation and coming to Blue Iguana.

Yelp
Big group of 30 and they were able to accommodate us. The service was quick as well. I believe with bigger parties they do a time limit just in case they get big parties so the clients don't have to wait too long. Most of us enjoyed the food as well. I myself had the carne asada plate and it was very good. We also had molcajetes, fajitas, burritos taco plates, enchiladas. We had aguas frescas and some of us had alcoholic drinks. Overall the food and service was really good. I recommend calling in advance so you are seated once you get to the restaurant.

Yelp
Excellent service and ambiance. The courtyard was peaceful and eclectic. There is an extensive menu with pre and post Hispanic meals. I had a sangria with chicken fajitas, and left full with a box full of leftovers! Likely coming back.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place didn't live up to expectations. I had the Paloma margarita - it was basically a giant fancy glass of orange juice. I had the chorizo and potato tacos, nothing to write home about. I hate to give a bad review about staff because it may have just been an off day - but our waitress carried our food out with an oven mitt and then passed the food over heads and expected us to grab it from her. That's a hot plate - please just put it down for me. Just thought it was a little strange!

Yelp
The food was fabulous. Very authentic. We tried several appetizers and I opted for the beef chimichanga that I just took a bite out of because the appetizers were big portions. Their menu has so many options to choose from. The food came so quick. Service was spot on. Waiter was really knowledgeable. They also have a fairly big drink menu that I didn't try because it was 11am :) There's an outside area that you can eat at but it was closed and covered with snow. I'm guessing it's gorgeous in the summer nights! Location is hidden from the street and you have to look for street parking or pay for parking in the corner parking garage.

Yelp
No communication! Left sitting at a table for 20 minutes before I got up and ask the host where my server was. Considering there was more than 10 employees just walking around doing nothing is baffling.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was amazing (Asada Burrito packed full of great tasting carne and the Shrimp, Chorizo, & Pineapple Tacos were full of flavor). Second time here, and will be back again!

Yelp
Food was excellent and service was amazing. Food came out quickly. I love that they left pitchers of water at table for us to refill our waters. I got the steak taco salad. It was light but filling!
