Blue Social Eatery Restaurant - Launceston

We ordered dumplings, they were quite delicious, a sausage roll which was huge but lacked flavour, a quiche which my partner thoroughly enjoyed and our son had kids waffles.. I think the photos speak for themselves. One waffle for $14.50 which came out over cooked - literally burnt. It tasted stale and overall just foul. We went when there wasn’t many people in so I really don’t understand how you could burn something so easy and still decide to serve it to a KID! Definitely won’t be back in a hurry nor suggest it to other people.

Quick coffee and drink review. In a word, serviceable; however, their larger menu needs to be explored further before I can give this place a fair review The staff were friendly, the drinks were standard. Truth is, we only popped in for a quick soft drink after walking around the neighbouring museum, so I can't really comment on service or food. This said, yep, all the customers seemed happy, the music was pleasant, and I felt that vibe that all successful eateries seem to have. I would describe it as chic casual. As an aside, I didn't find the staff particularly friendly. I smiled at them as we left and one practically glared at me. Hence the 4 and not 5 stars.

The Service staff were good and friendly, however there was a little confusion as to whether it was table service. Desert(s) had been removed from the menu that I received several weeks ago, however there was a delicious chocolate sweet offered to us Seven of us had already eaten our meals when my friend received his Fish and Chips meal

Food is nice but needs more shush to make you want to go back and spend that kind of coin. Coffee was good but service was lacking. How it’s changed since the first time we came to Launceston ten years ago. What I can’t understand is how the council can let this whole precinct become so run down have they got no time to do some gardening and maintenance, seriously!

Would have been 5 star but table app requires updating to reflect change in drink menu. Otherwise excellent eating.

Blue never disappoints, their food is just so flavourful, and the combinations they put together are always delicious. Price is exceptional as is the service. Truly a little gem of a place. We had the 2 courses for $40 - pre-footy deal. There was around an additional $30-40 per person cost for alcohol.

A pretty good place for brunch, and you can also order via a QR code that is table-identified. Food portions slightly on the small side but was good quality. Only negative for a diabetic like me was no artificial sweeteners for my coffee. I think most other places have them as standard.
