Blue Karma Village (Badung, Bali) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In an area as overrun with contemporary luxury resorts as Seminyak, it’s refreshing to find a place that’s still in touch with Indonesia’s more traditional side. The BK Village’s architecture is based on the design of the joglo, the teak houses traditional to the island of Java — though it is, in fact, on Bali, a short drive from the international airport via the resort’s complimentary shuttle." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely lovely hotel, very attentive staff and has a private secluded feel. We stayed in the master suite and this was excellent, cleaned once in the morning during our breakfast and then there was an evening service to ensure the mosquito nets were correct and came through with repellent. ||The food was outstanding!! And we would say was the highlight. The included breakfast was a la carte and there was so much choice - you could pick 2 dishes per day and this included a selection from fruits, batter (pancakes, french toast etc) egg dishes (and up to 3 accompaniments) as well as vegetarian and Indonesian selections. Breakfast also included coffee, tea, juice and water alongside breads and pastries for the table. The lunch and dinner menu was absolutely fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. ||We also had couples hot stone message in the spa and this was very relaxing and the staff were very skilled. We came away feeling very fresh and relaxed. There was an excellent range of massages and facials available, something to suit your needs. ||The location is very quiet, it is a walk/drive away from the main road and there isn’t too much around close to the hotel as it is mainly other villas and a few M marts. Perfect if you want to get away from it all, if you want to go out and explore then you will need a taxi or be prepared to walk quite a distance. |||There were themed nights throughout the week for dinner as well as different in house activities scheduled every morning including Pilates, yoga etc that was complimentary. We would recommend this lovely cosy retreat.

A 5/5 oasis stay. Beautiful grounds, great pools and the service is warm and relaxed, in the best way. ||We stayed with our 5yr old son which was lovely. It’s mainly couples and we hope we weren’t disturbing anyone - I enjoyed not being surrounded by noisy children as it’s quite a relaxing place. ||The Suite Joglo we stayed in is beautiful and spacious, love the large outdoor bathroom and decent sized side closet for suitcases and bags allowing for a clear bedroom area. The bed was very comfortable, sheets felt clean and the towels were so fluffy! ||The massages, are very pricey, but one of the best I’ve had. ||Onsite resturant is very good for Japanese - I was less impressed by the local dishes though. I forgot I could also order grab food and they’ll give you plates and cutlery so you can mix it up||if you don’t want to go out. ||Given the horrendous traffic around the area, BK is blissful and some days we decided not to bother going out at all. ||The wifi is better than my home wifi. ||Lots of nice little touches like ability to call for drinks or food by the pool. ||There are some benefits to booking direct:) ||I’m really glad we stayed here (4 nights to kick off our trip. WhiIe prob wouldn’t return to Umalas, if I did, I would absolutely stay here again.

We spent three days in Seminyak and we booked a suite Joglo at the Bluekarma Village. Amazing is one the words I’d like to use for explain our experience at this hotel. The staff were exceptional . Their attention, courtesy and kindness are of the most I’ve ever been in my travel around the world. The hotel and the room are wonderful. Quiet, clean, silence and completely relax are the main things of our experience . The Spa is wonderful. Anything else? Thank you so much to everyone ( in particular Mr Jaja ) for taking care about us and kept our stay unforgettable.

We went to Blue Karma Village in Bali for our honeymoon, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. Our room was absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable. The food was delicious, the cocktails were spot on, and the setting was just breathtaking. Every little detail was perfect. The staff were exceptional — so kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. It was the most relaxing, romantic, and idyllic getaway we could have imagined. We genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. It was fabulous in every way — we will absolutely be going back!

We had a fantastic stay at Blue Karma Village! The room was clean and aesthetically pleasing, featuring traditional wooden architecture. The staff were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. With multiple swimming pools available, it was easy to find a comfortable spot to relax without feeling crowded, allowing for a more private experience. The breakfast was amazing, offering plenty of options to choose from. We also dined at their restaurant, and the food was delicious; the sushi was particularly fresh. We’re already looking forward to our next stay! 😍

I want to gate keep but this place deserves much more than 5 stars! The attentiveness of the staff and the friendliness and professionalism is outstanding. I have had such an amazing stay as a solo traveller, they arrange guided tours and are so helpful beyond belief. It’s truly a unique boutique hotel and I can not wait to come back again. Do not hesitate, come and visit if you want a tranquil stay away from the bustle of main strips. All the staff deserve huge praises. Thank you for making me feel so welcome 🤗

If you’re looking for a quiet and cozy villa around Umalas, this might just be the perfect spot for you! I really love the ambiance here. It’s not your typical Bali villa—it’s a beautiful blend of traditional Balinese design with a contemporary twist, and you can really see the touch of the designer’s artistic style throughout. The area is spotless, and the villa itself is super clean too. The service? Fast, friendly, and very welcoming! Don’t forget to check out their daily activities and classes—it was such an interesting experience for me! Oh, and make sure to try their restaurant—the food is immaculate! 😋
