"Lazy Day at the Blue Lagoon Blue Lagoon Beach is a small but beautiful beach with clear water and white sand a couple of minutes walk past the end of Padang Bai’s main strip. When the tide is in there is hardly any beach at all so you have to time your day accordingly, but there are also a few little restaurants where you can sit and hang out if you happen to arrive when the tide is high. There are a few hawkers but they are usually pretty nice if you don’t want to buy anything, although if it’s a slow day they might just hang around for a chat. Snorkling is really lovely at the Blue Lagoon, but do be aware the tides can be strong. The stairs going down to the beach are pretty steep but you can stop to admire the view and catch your breath on the way back up."
Nice little beach in walking distance from Padang Bai harbour. Ideal place to go while waiting for next day boat ride.
Beautiful bay for snorkelling with pristine water, loads of corals and different fish species, lucky ones can spot a turtle also.
You can rent a sunbed or lay down on the sand, not many people are coming here, most come from snorkelling tours, so the beach is quite empty.

The corals are thriving, fishes are a lot, we saw some gamat and eels as well. Just make sure not to step on corals since it's quite shallow. There are some rubbing near the shore which can dampen the mood, but the fishes made up for it.

Maybe depends on the tides but when we were - no place to put a towel (pictures were taken with 0.5 zoom), all dirty around and all in one - big disappointment. It didn't make sense to stay more than 5min. There is parking for a car and bike right at the top of the hill. They charge around 20-30k rp for parking though.

Beautiful clear blue sea and white sands. We went snorkelling here and the marine life is amazing and the coral looks healthy and vibrant. We even saw a turtle. Sun loungers and small cafes on the beach (we didn’t try but an option). Only issue was the amount of rubbish on the beach, which was quite a sad reality.

I love that the beach gets shade around 3pm. We saw lots of fish snorkling. I would recommend bringing your own gear and snacks as the gear we rented from the warung was not great and same went for the food. 25K to rent a sunbed.

The Blue lagoon is the entry for 2 very busy sections of snorkeling and connected to the main Port of Padang Bai in the area. On the day I went the visibility was not very good and I saw many fishes which the guides feed to attract them towards you and also quite a bit of plastic rubbish in the water. The coral is unremarkable.

I don't really want to review this place as like all the secret spots in Bali, they become a tourist trap and before you know they are destroyed. But if you come to Padang Bai it's a must see snorkeling spot. It's very quiet and not that easy to access with very steep steps. There are often big waves so take extra caution. The two restaurants on the beach are very good and reasonably priced so try and support them.
