We spent 8–9 days in a two-bedroom apartment close to the pool area, with a small terrace that turned out to be a highlight. As night fell, wallabies came to feed just outside—an unforgettable sight that added real charm to the stay.
The pool was great for relaxing, though occasionally lively with kids playing. It never felt overwhelming, just part of the holiday atmosphere. The apartment itself was well-equipped, making it easy to cook and store food comfortably.
A few small quirks with the rooms:
• The double duvet wasn’t ideal for us.
• We had one visit from a large cockroach.
• WiFi in the apartment was spotty, but sitting near reception solved that—connection there was solid.
Staff at reception were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and efficient. We booked excursions through them with no hassle at all.
Shopping and transport to Cairns require a bit of planning. There are convenience stores nearby, but not full supermarkets. Getting to Cairns takes about 55 minutes by bus or 25 minutes by Uber—manageable with a little foresight.
All in all, a lovely stay with great service, tropical wildlife just outside the door, and a relaxed atmosphere
