Blue Lagoon Resort

We spent 8–9 days in a two-bedroom apartment close to the pool area, with a small terrace that turned out to be a highlight. As night fell, wallabies came to feed just outside—an unforgettable sight that added real charm to the stay. The pool was great for relaxing, though occasionally lively with kids playing. It never felt overwhelming, just part of the holiday atmosphere. The apartment itself was well-equipped, making it easy to cook and store food comfortably. A few small quirks with the rooms: • The double duvet wasn’t ideal for us. • We had one visit from a large cockroach. • WiFi in the apartment was spotty, but sitting near reception solved that—connection there was solid. Staff at reception were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and efficient. We booked excursions through them with no hassle at all. Shopping and transport to Cairns require a bit of planning. There are convenience stores nearby, but not full supermarkets. Getting to Cairns takes about 55 minutes by bus or 25 minutes by Uber—manageable with a little foresight. All in all, a lovely stay with great service, tropical wildlife just outside the door, and a relaxed atmosphere

What an amazing resort could not fault it one bit. Great location our room was fantastic very clean and great facilities with great views and had everything we needed. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Resort is in a great location, near the beach,restaurants and supermarket. Would strongly recommend this place and have done so to family, friends and work colleagues. Definitely going back again next year and for longer and more than happy to go there rather than Bali or Vietnam, no need to go overseas if you want a relaxing and value for money holiday this is definitely the place to go.

The room has everything in it you need, I loved the layout as I do FIFO I like being able to lay in bed and watch TV looking out to a beautiful view. The location is fantastic!! A very short walk to restaurants, beach, walks, cafes and there’s a small local shop for all your needs. The resort has a beautiful restaurant and bar, Asian restaurant plus a couple of others. My favourite part was the pool with an incredible view. Everyone was so respectful including the kids. No boom diving extra. I’ll definitely be going back.

We have nothing but praise for the Management of this Resort. The staff were exceptional. The apartments were spotless and had little extras e.g. Fly Spray, extra garbage bags, large balcony clothes dryer. This resort is not new but the maintenance has been kept up to the apartments so one would never know. Our son built in the estate years ago and we were able to use our key to access the lagoon and see his home. A relaxed, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Resort.

Lovely stay at Blue Lagoon. The resort is in a fantastic location with beautiful Trinity Beach and excellent food and beverage options a stone's throw away. The team at Blue Lagoon go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great experience. Rooms are very functional, albeit a little dated but very clean and comfortable. This was our 3rd stay and we'll definitely be back!!

Accommodation was very good, location perfect, service was also very good, room was spacious with very comfortable bed. Would use this property again. No complaint. The only thing was that there was NO lift in our building. Thank You. I.B.

From booking to leaving the experience has been 1st class. The apartment was spacious clean and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and were happy to assist with excursions.

This was our second time at Blue Lagoon after going to Port Douglas prior. We love the location; out of Cairns, but close enough if we need or want to go in to Cairns or to explore sights south of Cairns; walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. The apartment was spacious, fans and aircons in every room, a large balcony, and we were fortunate to have a pool and lagoon view. The heated pool is magnificent and the other pool is also really nice, if you don't mind the "refreshing" temperature! The staff are friendly and helpful. The Fitness Centre was disappointing, but we were told it may be upgraded by the time we come back next year.

Amazing. Helped with tour bookings and even had someone pick us up free of charge. Nice balcony, used 2 of the pools and they were amazing. Self cooking and bbqs are supplied however short walk to restaurants and the beach view restaurants. 10/10 would stay again

Fantastic Apartments, great staff and even better views. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, will definitely come back and recommend!
