Perfect Ending to Our Honeymoon We only stayed at Blue Margouillat for two days at the end of our honeymoon, and our only regret is not spending our entire trip here. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the staff warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere so peaceful that we felt instantly relaxed. We also enjoyed one of the best meals of our lives at their restaurant—an unforgettable dining experience. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and we can’t wait to return.

Rooms were clean but very small with limited amenities for a 5-star hotel. Staff are friendly but limited with helping and providing information. Breakfast was good but tiny portions. Keep in mind that room coffee is priced after consuming 2 cups (not a usual). Far from everything which is fine but the hotel needs to cooperate with tour and transportation companies to offer options to customers. Overall experience is similar to 3 star hotel instead of 5.

We stayed here for the first three nights of our honeymoon. Our travel agent told us the restaurant was the best on the island but we were blown away by the quality of the food. It is easily the best food we have ever eaten and probably will ever eat. The cheese cellar is really special and a must for cheese lovers. The whole hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed the amazing view from our room. The hotel were very helpful with our rental car and dropped us off to go and collect it. When we left, we were given a homemade olive oil and vinegarette which was a lovely touch. We hope to visit this special hotel again.

We are vegan and went there for dinner. When we booked a table we told them we were vegan. As a result we had one of the best vegan dinners ever. Vegan gastronomy! The experience was enhanced by an “Accord sans alcool”, pairing special “mocktail” with each dish. Angelique, the barmaid and excellent mixologist, did an outstanding job creating unique drinks to truly enhance and highlight the flavors of each dish.

An incredible stay. We loved every minute at the Blue Margouillat. The views are second to none and we spent many an hour watching as humpbacks jumped and played in the water just off the coast - incredible. The staff are attentive and so lovely. The food is world-class, we couldn't fault a thing. We tried so many new foods and loved every one of them.

Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Exceptional service, nothing too much trouble, food amazing! Great view, including of the migrating humpback whales. Lovely location as well for Saint Leu restaurants and Kelonia turtle sanctuary.

Pros are enormous; brilliant Chef and great restaurant all round. Rooms are comfortable but tiny. Views are superb. Pool is small but very pleasant. Cons; location is hard to reach on foot ( a car is essential) and wine, although excellent, is extremely expensive (as is anything else you might want to buy like lunch). Lovely staff. Great place for a night or two but not recommended as a base for a long stay.
