Blue Mountain is a budget-friendly and comfortable place to stay just a 5 min walk from Thamel. The staff is friendly and helpful and you are sure to have a wonderful stay here. We really love the rooftop area for eating a meal or drinking a beer as well. Thanks to the Blue Mountain team for their warm hospitality and a great hub in Kathmandu.

This might be one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I felt like I was at my family’s home. Everything was amazing. Krishna and Radj are wonderful people who took care of everything. I cried when I was leaving the hotel. The view, the design of the house, the cleanliness, the food—everything, absolutely everything, was perfect. I will miss you and I will definitely come back.

Excellent location walking distance to markets in Thamel, Nepal. Beautiful gardens, service is top notch! Mr.Buddhi’s guidance for travel to nearby cities was much appreciated. I would choose this location again. Enjoyed Nepali tea in the beautiful terrace. WiFi service had good connection.

This is my second time staying at the Blue Mountain Homestay and it has been incredible. I was able to get the rooftop suite (see pictures) with a private bathroom, rooftop balcony, and larger room with a bed, table and comfortable sofa chair. The rooftop wifi router is also located just outside the room so I had good internet connection during my stay; which was nice because I got to relax after my trekking experience in the Everest region. ||Very short (<10 minute) walk from most of the really nice restaurants in the Thamel area of Kathmandu. ||Mr. Buddhi (Blue Mountain Homestay owner) is very helpful and coordinated taxis for me to and from the airport. Great, friendly staff as well. ||Much more affordable than other locations in Kathmandu as well.

It is one of the best hotel experiences I have had in all of Nepal! Very Cost-Effective! The staff were invaluable and went out of their way to help me navigate different goals and experiences during my first time in Nepal. They are more than a hotel, honestly felt like an extended family during my stay there!

Good value for money. Room comes with breakfast, drinking water and tissue. Friendly & very assistive staff. They made arrangements for my day tour in Kathmandu and it was so affordable. Rooftop garden serves as resto, fresh air and good food.

It's a nice place with very friendly people.|I was able to change extend my stay with no problem wich was nice.|There is a menu with a lot of meals and drinks to choose from.|It is located right next to thamel and has a lot of restaurants and shops nearby.
