Tough and long hike! Intended on a sunrise hike so we started when it was dark. Saw spectacular views once we were going down. Lots of beautiful landscapes, fruit trees, etc.. At the peak it was all clouds and fog :( Going down was extra Extra tough on the knees! Especially Jacob’s ladder! Wouldn’t do it again (😬) but I’m so proud I accomplished it, in its’ entirety. Oh getting to the starting point was tough! The road was very rough 😵‍💫😫

If you're planning a day trip to the stunning Blue Mountains, I highly recommend approaching from the Portland side for an unforgettable adventure. Immerse yourself in nature as you hike through the lush trails, passing vibrant flora and sprawling coffee farms along the way. Take a refreshing dip in the hidden waterfalls tucked within the mountains, and for those seeking an extra thrill, biking downhill is an absolute must! For an overnight stay, the Mavis Bank side is the way to go. Cozy up in one of the charming mountain cabins and prepare for an awe-inspiring experience. A hike to the peak is an absolute must, and trust me—starting early to catch the sunrise is well worth the effort. Watching the first light of day break over the mountains is nothing short of magical. I’ve explored these mountains countless times, and I know for sure I’ll be back again soon. It’s just that incredible!

Drive from Kingston to Ocho Rios on the relatively new T3 Toll Highway through the mountains and it was smooth sailing through the mountains all the way!

Away from the hustle and bustle of life and into pure nature. Scenic views at every turn. Indigenous plants only unique to Jamaica. Temp was 11c, didn't sweat once while there. Water was Ice cold if you ask me. The trail was long, arduous, hard on the knees and feet. Reaching the peak was worth it. Very satisfying and breathtaking. Major Letdown: GARBAGE along the trails and at cabin. Very disheartening to see just beauty being disregarded like that.

Marvellous sceneries and challenging uphill hike. All in one. To bad the linking roads aren’t in well condition sometimes completely inaccessible.

We enjoyed the mountains so much, it’s as if you can touch them. Breath in the Fresh and clean air. Majestic water falls crystal waters. Bicycles rides and Jamaican food are very well worth the trip.

A place like no other in the world-with the perfect scenery and amazing views-to get away from it all. There is also a spot called the Blue Mountain Cafe-that offers the infamous and Signature Coffee and one that will set the mood right-as you embark on a beautiful journey. Enjoy! I know that I did certainly did.
