Blue Nile Resort Hotel

We had a very pleasant 2-day stay at this hotel. Our room was completely renovated and super clean, although slightly small. The staff very polite and tried to accommodate all our requests. What was really challenging was the restaurant… It took two hours to serve us, and please mind that we were almost the only guests…. The food though was tasty!

I enjoyed my stay at the Blue Nile. The rooms are simple but very comfortable and quiet. The staff are all friendly and willing to help. Situated right by the lake, it offers a great view especially in the evening. They have a number of meeting halls for the corporates. The meals consist of mostly local cuisine with a limited range of continental cuisine. The only missing piece is they do not have a swimming pool but that doesn't take away anything from the experience. I would definitely go back for their great hospitality.

The hotel was right on the lake with beautiful flowers and lush plantings. The patios over the lake were perfect for evening drinks. The view from the restaurant is spectacular. The staff were attentive and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good with omelets made to order.||||The rooms were not so great. They were small with a very small bathroom and a shower I could barely move around in to wash myself. The beds were more like cots and not full twin bed width. They did have soap and shampoo and travel toothbrush/paste and travel razor all in the bathroom. The towels felt like burlap.||||In summary - I would stay there again for the convenient location and nice views and only because I spent very little tie in the room itself.

Food was good, service was great! Rooms were average with very small showers and dates fixtures. The view was amazing from the property and we saw many wedding pictures being taken. The location is close to town and right on the lake. Overall a good stay!

Stayed for 5 nights, eventually had warm water on third day, just hot enough to take a shower, after reporting problem to reception and various visits from maintenance. I had a super deluxe room with bedroom and separate living room but unfortunately no balcony. Room was ok but shower cubicle very small. ||The main attraction of the hotel is its proximity to Lake Tana with an amazing variety of bird life to be seen. The restaurant is ok, small variety for breakfast, can be busy due to organised tour groups, freshly cooked eggs and omelettes are good. For dinner I always opted for a la carte rather than the buffet option, pastas were good, with friendly service and reasonable prices.

I recently stayed at the Blue Nile Hotel in Bahir Dar and had an excellent experience. The hotel is conveniently located near all of the city's major attractions. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the views of Lake Tana are breathtaking. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the management team is always willing to go above and beyond to make guests' stays memorable. I strongly recommend that anyone visiting Bahir Dar stay at this hotel.||||||||||

Have not checked out yet. Wonderful lake view if you get rooms with even numbers you face the lake and welcome the sun ad it rises. They have 2 bars a restaurant and s pizzeria.2 BIGGEST PROBLEM IS INTERNET CONNECTIVITY AND NOISY AIRCONS. The staff are wonderful and the rooms clean. Other restaurants are within walking distance and is safe to walk during the day. Have not heard of any problems from night walkers of late.

Stunning views of Lake Tana, and incredibly well maintained grounds that only add to the experience. Waking up to the sight of fishermen on the lake and chanting from nearby churches is really special. In terms of the facilities, there is definitely some updating needed (bathrooms are definitely tired). As others have noted, food options leave something to be desired. Staff are very kind
