"The building that now houses the Blue Note Napa has had a number of iterations over the years, most notably more than a century of life as the Napa Valley Opera House. Today the Blue Note occupies only the first floor; the club cultivates an intimate space that has become a great spot to see live music. Local, regional, national, and international acts book the space -- on any given night the performances might range from jazz to blues to folk and more. Blue Note also runs a full-service restaurant and bar, making it a destination for a romantic night on the town. Upstairs, a local winery has rebranded the main stage of the old Opera House as the JaM Cellars Ballroom; it is open periodically throughout the year for big-name concerts and events."

Great live music venue in downtown Napa! We got floor seats reserved here & it was well worth the great music, drinks & food! The venue is intimate & beautiful. There’s a bar & the service was excellent. We can’t wait to come back!

Love the Blue Note in Napa. Great food and awesome music venue. Really good service too. We saw Simon Phillips and Protocol. Fantastic show!

Our first time here. The place was intimate and cozy. The food was delicious, and the bathrooms were clean. We ordered using the QR code at the table. The servers were very friendly, refilled our water, and brought the food out in a timely manner. It was a minimum purchase of 2 food or drinks per person. We ordered the Mezze Platter, Margherita Flatbread, Warm Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Mail Tai, Apple Cobbler, and a Cappuccino. We were hungry, don't judge. 😄 (The pics didn't come out since it was dark).

Google
Intimate jazz club in beautiful downtown Napa. Our show tickets required a 2 drink minimum per person, or the purchase of meals - which, in my experience is typical for comedy clubs, jazz clubs, etc . Our table ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread, the salmon, the House burger & fries, and the Chili Shrimp. Prices of our meals ranged from $18 to $31. The food was plated nicely and was good- no complaints. We also attended the late show : (favorite guitarist- check out Mark Lettieri- you're welcome in advance)- we were also required to purchase food and drink for the 2nd show, so most of us opted for desserts- the desserts were just "all right". Would we return and enjoy the music, food, and atmosphere? Absolutely - and hope to soon !

AVOID!!! Showed up for an event and tried to buy tickets. The gentleman in the box office was kind trying everything and said it was up to the hostess. She already declined to seat us. I wasn’t expecting a local night discount: I am a local and have no idea what locals night is. I would pay $1000 for a seat. The hostess was rude and had no sense of hospitality. If the valley is going to thrive locals need to support locals. First visit to blue note and will certainly be the last. The staff (save the box off gentleman) should be embarrassed. My heart goes out to the business.

Went for Locals Night and had an amazing time! Free admission and a special priced menu made it even better. The band was fantastic, and both the host and our waitress were super friendly and attentive. 10/10 – definitely worth the visit!

Google
Easy parking on the adjoining streets and in close public parking lots. Had to walk up stairs to the intimate venue and not very many places to sit. Large dance floor and large bar to get beverages and snacks. Restroom easy access.

Google
The String Queens were amazing. Small and intimate venue but great acoustics. The ladies played wide array of songs. Definitely would recommend. Good, fast service too.

Yelp
Small, clean venue. 90% of seating is good. The band we heard was great. It's nice to sit and munch and drink to live music. The food: flat iron steak was decent, but had a weird green salsa on top? The salad on that plate was great. The cheesecake was terrible-odd, fluffy texture. Although I loved the berry sauce that was on top of it. We were charged $60 to cork our magnum. Go mainly for the music. The food is an afterthought.

Yelp
I came to Blue Note to see Norman Brown tonight (Friday). He became ill and rescheduled his show for March 31, 2025. I didn't check my email when it was sent that he wouldn't be performing. Oops. When I arrived, the host told me that I can stay and enjoy a complimentary show performed by saxophonist Jeff Ryan. Also, that I can choose to refund my ticket or use it to reschedule in March. Always looking for an adventure and listening to new music, I opted to stay. I'm so glad I did! Such a fun time I had at the show tonight! So much fun...that I didn't take any pictures. It was so nice to be in the present and vibe! :) I loved the decor and the blue ambient (and some purple at times) light throughout the place. The staff were nice. The food was pricey..but, hey, a girl's gotta eat! I ordered the soup of the day: broccoli cheddar, garlic Parmesan fries, and a limoncello spritz (basically spiked lemon water...really good!!) I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the fun time and good food! I will be back! :)

Yelp
First time coming and I'm glad we were able to enjoy an amazing artist like Jon b. Parking- the location does have street parking but i suggest the parking they recommend on 11th. It's close with plenty of parking! Staff- when we arrived it was easy they asked for name and say is right away. The servers were prompt with offering a physical menu in place of the qr and they were always ready to remove empty dishes with quick response to bringing out orders 5/5 Food- Bbq chicken pizza-the hot honey was the perfect touch and the edges were crisp! 5/5 Cesar with chicken- big enough to share with 2 people. The right amount to dressing and the hint of lemon was refreshing. The flavor was there only thing i noticed was it was difficult to eat with a fork based on how the lettuce was thin ribbons. 4/5 Garlic fries 5/5- can't go wrong with garlic fries The drinks I had 3 glasses of Merlot 5/5, i should have just ordered the bottle it was so good The in between the sheets- i thought would come in a regular glass but it's more girly and i didn't like the taste as much as the merlot. 3/5 My biggest takeaway is the space of the seating- Behind at the high bar i noticed they fit as many seats as possible and that includes being sat right behind a Pilar that blocks the view of the stage. Luckily we got there at 515 and were about to get the last decent seats so beware of your arrival time as it is first come first serve seating. The tables near the stage are way too clustered. Watching people try getting up or getting their orders was hard no one could move, they all looked pretty uncomfortable. The best seating would be the booths, the high bar or the back tables. I would visit again but i would sit at a booth sucks to have a booth it has to be 4 or more cause i would rather just have a booth for 2

Yelp
Omg how have I not known about this place?? This was the best Motown experience I've had in years!! Will definitely come back for another show! Great cocktails, tasty deserts (we didn't eat anything else), and the seating somehow they managed to smash everyone together without it feeling like it's too much. The wait staff pay close attention and never keep you waiting!

Yelp
While it was sometimes hard to get ahold of our server, the place was packed, so no worries. Amazing acoustics, interior design, and a great performance by Big Mountain! Garlic fries were also surprisingly tasty--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would come back!

Yelp
First time at the Blue Note, have been to a number of the Meritage concerts in the summer months. I was told by a number of people that the Blue Note was similar to Yoshi's in Oakland...it is not. It's a very small, small intimate venue; the staff does a phenomenal job with crowd management. We had dinner elsewhere and shared an app and dessert. The brussel sprouts were promising, but a bit too al dente so we couldn't finish them. The sauce and texture of the nuts added nice elements but were just too hard. The apple crumble was amazing, absolutely delish. If there are any accommodations that can be made, Malia is your girl. Very personable, service with a smile and solutions based.

Yelp
They overcharged me and ghosted me when I asked about a refund. Keep you eyes on your tab, you've been warnrd.

Yelp
This review is for Rick Braun back in September. I'm torn about writing this. Their is no question about the entertainment, seeing Rick Braun in person was well worth the price of the tickets. The venue is also no question, it is wonderful atmosphere, just look at the picture taken with smartphone. Up close and personal. The wait staff was very good and attentive. What would keep me from returning is the ticket service fee, which was $32.00, the two drink minimum with tip of $34.50 for a total of $66.50. For my tickets that was a 56% up charge for a one hour set. This was on a Saturday night and I was wondering why it wasn't a sell out, now I know. The ticket service charge and two drink minimum has gotten out of control. I think I've seen my last concert at the "Blue Note".

Yelp
I love this venue! There's plenty of parking around the area, and the space is small and intimate. Every seat is great! There's blue ambient lighting throughout. Everyone that works there is nice and customer service oriented. From the person at the door, to the bartender and wait staff. My husband and I came to see Digable Planets and the show was great! It's nice to spend time with your partner and even better when you both love music and have a chance to see an amazing show. About the food: Caesar salad with chicken - this was the best thing we ordered. Salad was well dressed seasoned, chicken is tender Garlic fries- on the greasier side but tasty Roasted cauliflower- wasn't roasted at all. No char. It was more like steamed. Our least favorite Sweet chili shrimp- I enjoyed the flavor a lot. My husband said it had too much batter.

Yelp
Customer service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Food 4/5 The customer service was professional and welcoming. We purchased 3rd party tickets and there was slight issue accessing the tickets. The Blue Note staff assisted us in taking care of everything right away. The servers were efficient and prompt, especially considering how packed the house was. Blue Note drinks were delicious and the food was good. The ambiance was dimly lit and swank which made for a nice and intimate setting to listen to awesome music. I REALLY like this place!

Yelp
Been a few times to the Blue Note live music venue on Main street. Always welcomed with a smile and treated with great energy which really help make the evening special. Only been on the first floor however I've heard there's an upstairs. It's got beautiful blue lighting and decor from the historic Napa Valley Opera House. They have very cool lineups, my favorites so far have been Chante Moore and Jon B but I'm partial to that 90s smooth R&B. I prefer the high bar top seating because it's right in the middle of the floor and you are eye height from the stage. Pricing is what you'd expect for an intimate live show and they require a 2 drink minimum. Haven't had a whole meal there but the garlic parmesan fries are a hit. Of course the negative is typical with most music venue, the space is so tight. They pack them in where you can't even raise your arms without brushing up against the person next to you (hope you like them)!

Kirsten Z.

Yelp
Love the venue for live music and the band and sound were great. Despite challenging conditions (dark room, tight spaces), the staff was efficient and friendly. However, the food and drinks were not good. The tzatziki was not tzatziki. The spanakopita was not spanakopita. The ceasar salad was overdressed and salty. And my blood orange margarita tasted like a glass of sugar water. I sent back the salad and the margarita and got a simple gin martini (which was fine) and called it dinner. Loved the show!

Yelp
Having won tickets to a Jazz Mafia performance at Blue Note Napa I can't comment on ticket prices but here's what I said once seated: "Wow, this place is way smaller than I envisioned" then "They've really got us packed in, eh?" "Packed in" is a bit of an understatement. Long rectangular tables sit perpendicular to the stage with seating on either side. When seated at these seats the back of your chair is no doubt touching that of the person behind you and to get in and out will require others in your row to do the same. But what this also means is that you're very close to the stage (possibly too close; my neck hurt from looking up). The most ideal seating is in a booth or back near the bar where direct site lines may exist. So I'd suggest you arrive early for the best of options. Orders are placed from your table via QR code and though I think I saw something about a 2-drink minimum it seemed not to be enforced. The folks beside me drank water and my party of two maxed out with 1 drink apiece. (Note: avoid the Basil Martini). The Blue Note also serves food. The sound was great, and ditto for the show which was, in this case, Prince-centric. I generally think of Napa after dark as a pretty sleepy place. Blue Note livens things up and is a great way to close out your evening.

Yelp
Cool locals night! We were walking by and saw the sign. Showed our id's and we were in a booth. The apps are solid. We had the roasted califlour (I know crazy!) it was great, tuna, and French fries (double dipped), all which I would order again. The country band was excellent, how fun on locals night!

Yelp
I attended the Blue Note Jazz Festival for three days and had a blast. This is the second year of this event. The atmosphere was beautiful and they had different food places and food trucks to choose from, However, they need more food choices that are healthier. They have have a few but not many. Many Porter potties restroom , but they need to be clean more. Security does not check stuff very good and what your are not able to bring into the event is not consistent daily. At the main stage they should of had bigger screens and turned on the middle screen during each person set. It was hard to see the artist and the small screen did not help. They need to have screens on the other regular stages too. They have a disability section that's pretty nice size, near main stage but they need to maybe add another section to the other stages too. Could add a mist section to cool people down when it's very hot. Not much shade out there. I met a few celebrities Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Was and they were very nice. You can't have your phone at the main stage area which I do not like. You can't video any of the concert. I will attend this event again, and I hope they get better with the few glitches they have. Overall, this trip was worth it. I have many memories with my friends. I will be back next year.

Yelp
Food was great. The music WOULD have been great, but the volume for the venue was absurdly loud. They played loud enough to fill a stadium. What kind of nonsense is this? The volume would do permanent damage to anyone's hearing. Just dumb and I'm a professional musician.
google avatar

Yelp
This is specifically about Blue Note's "Summer Sessions" at the Meritage Resort, not about the club. Where do I begin, what a terrible venue. Possibly the worst concert experience I have had in my life. First off, even with Silver Tickets you can't even see the stage, let alone the musicians they are so far off. People are constantly standing behind the sound booth and no one makes them sit down so I have no clue how the people in the Bronze section behind me even remotely saw the show. 1. Parking: This parking is a complete scam and I am making a formal complaint about it. $18.00 to park and we are sent to (and I'm not making this up) the parking lot of the Napa Branch of the Health and Human Services division. So I'm paying $18.00 for parking in a lot and building I paid for with my taxes. 2. Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms available TOTAL for at least 3,000 plus people. I'm talkling like 6 stalls max. The line is constantly 20+ people deep. 3. Sound: Muddled and atrocious sound. You would expect a high end resort to have some decent sound equipment but it could be the worst sound I've experienced. 4. Food: OK you expect your water bottle to be expensive, I actually joked to my wife wait til we see the $8.00 water... it was $9.00, for a bottle of water that cost them maybe, just maybe, 50 cents. 5. Rooms: We considered booking one of the terrace rooms and watching from the balcony (at least you could see the musicians without people standing in front of you). The rooms went from $250, $250 the 2 days before and the day of the concert they were $1000 then back down to $250. Every balcony was empty, no one was watching from a room. Having worked in Travel Marketing for 40 years I can say, hey Meritage, empty rooms make no revenue, quit overcharging when you could have a full house situation. This venue is now on my banned list. I don't care who comes to this place, I won't bother to see it. Blue Note, you don't do your reputation much when you don't sweat the details on concerts like this. There is not a chance in the world I would ever attend this venue again, I don't care who the band is, it's not worth having concerts at this place.

Yelp
This was our first time seeing a show here. Last year, we caught two of their summer shows at the Charles Krug Winery. This venue is small but appears to be well designed for the space. All seats are General Admission but priced by location in the restaurant. The trick is to arrive early for the best seats in the section that you paid for. We bought Premium Floor Table tickets, which put us at the four long tables that were perpendicular to the stage. We sat in the second seats from the stage which gave us great sightlines. Each pair of seats had a location number with a QR code that you could use your phone to place orders for food or beverages. I guess because we had arrived early, we were able to place our order directly with a server. The music was great. The servers were friendly and unobtrusive. After the show, I met Tom and Steve, a couple of laid back guys making sure that everything was running smoothly. We will definitely keep an eye on their event calendar for future shows!.

Yelp
This place is Great, its location in the heart of Napa, Extract, good acoustics, comfortable accommodation, all good sightlines, good menus with excellent service.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I visited this place last weekend to attend the Jazz concert. Absolutely loved our experience. The musicians are so good, great vibe, fun music and we loved the ambiance. The place is well decorated with ambient blue light making it very romantic and jazzy. Pun intended ;) I ordered the cosmo and loved it. The drinks are good We also ordered Brussels sprouts and flatbreads, they are yummy as well. Service is very quick and the hostess was attentive and answered all questions my friends had. Must visit if you are in Napa and looking for fun place to get drinks and enjoy the jazzy night.

Yelp
Everything was amazing here! Simple walk-up ticket purchase at a ridiculously reasonable price, best value in town for a giant beer and although they can't necessarily take credit for the talented musicians, massive kudos to Blue Note for excellent sound!! The stage setup, the engineer, the mix, all of it was perfect! We saw Sean Carscadden Trio, which was a quartet for the evening and they blew us away. Blue Note was one of the best experiences with the best value we've ever had in Napa!

Yelp
Attended a couple of concerts here so far and overall great experience. Cozy, intimate venue with small bites and good drinks. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Can't wait to see who else will be performing here in the near future!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a surprise date from my friend and I was sooo impressed! Although the wait outside in the cold was a bit long, once I reached the door and saw who the surprise performer was, I forgot how cold I was! Goapele?! One of my favorite singers from my high school days! There was plenty of seating and we had great seats! Right in the middle but not too up close. We got the menu and there were several cocktail drinks and appetizers. I got the Caesar salad, fries and a Moscow mule. The drinks were pretty stiff! Although the bar was slammed, the team was able to get our drinks and food out in a reasonable amount of time. Goapele was unforgettable! The crowd was chill. My friend and I had such an amazing time! 5/5!

Yelp
Came here to watch Stella Cole, a jazz artist and had the best time. Took my family and they all enjoyed it. The venue is small and very intimate. They have tables and booths so the tickets we purchased were for a large table for our family of 7 right next to the stage. Luckily it didn't block our view and we can see her side profile well. They offer drinks and food to order to enjoy with the show. And service was great and quick. Would love to come back to watch other shows in the future
google avatar

Yelp
Cool chill spot to watch shows and concerts. We seen smashing pumpkins here and it was amazing we were able to get really close to the stage. They have a full bar. Downtown Napa location with street parking.

Yelp
We visited on a Sunday afternoon to check out the Pacific Mambo Orchestra showcase their talents on stage. The blue glowing lighting filling the room and the walls covered in actual instruments made for the perfect decor and ambience in the venue. The musicians and vocalists gave off such a positive and energetic vibe. It was wonderful. And the musicianship was amazing, I can't even name all of the instruments, but they played so perfectly as an ensemble. They performed several hits, like Chaka Khan's Through the Fire and Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed, in their own unique style of jazz and mambo. And from all of their involvement with the crowd, it was obvious that they are all about familia! By the way, drinks are strong! And the show is 1.5 hours in duration. Customer service was excellent. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience here.

Yelp
JAZZ MUSIC - Hubby and I attended a summer session at the Meritage Resort through the Blue Note Napa! Chris Botti was awesome and he brought out 4 amazing guests! Great crowd! Great music and even better vibes !! We had an amazing time ! Very beautiful afternoon and highly appreciated! Food was served ...

Yelp
My friends and I were offered complimentary tickets to a comedy show here and I'm so glad we took them up on those tickets. I don't think we would have sought this place out otherwise. The venue is very cool inside, the seating is arranged in a way that you have a great view of the stage from anywhere, the drinks were really good and the service was also pretty good. Gareth Reynolds and Aurora Singh killed it and I'm definitely checking out some of their other stuff online.

Yelp
We attended Tash Sultana last week. My girlfriend was assaulted. They did nothing. We tried to contact them and no returned call. I was told by a security officer they we fear for themselves. Very scary and disappointing. Mai of the security team was trembling after speaking with the assailants. Think twice about attending their events at the Meritage.

Yelp
So nice to have live music back !! Booked tickets to see Euge Groove months ago for March unfortunately he apparently got sick and had to reschedule the date. Received an email with the new date and a follow up phone call. Fortunately the new date worked . So many positives to this venue : Located in beautiful downtown Napa Lots of nearby bars & restaurants Free nearby parking Organized check in - pre check vaccine status Easy check in and personal selection for seating Professional and quick table service Delicious bar food and cocktails Comfortable seating not a bad seat in the house Lots of great artists scheduled every weekend Definitely will return

Yelp
People from everywhere swarmed into the city, Napa Valley. This was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect, but we knew we had tickets for Raheem Devaughn. This venue reminded me of our Yoshi's in Jack London Square, it's very quaint and intimate. I ran into a little trouble trying to order a Hennessy Side Car. I didn't see it on the menu of cocktails online. Two different servers came over to our table at different times to bring food, I asked if I could order a cocktail? They both said they would send somebody, unfortunately they weren't old enough to take alcohol orders. A lady arrived from the bar to take my order, the Hennessy Side Car was outstanding. My friend ordered a glass of champagne, she enjoyed that with the fish tacos, she wasn't impressed with the cheesecake. When it was all said and done Raheem Devaughn sang all night, he gave us a really good show and our money's worth. Thank You Blue Note

Yelp
Came here last night to see Rachel & Vilray and despite a beautifully intimate evening of duets, the set was tarnished by the most unlikely of culprits. About halfway through the show the beer fridge condenser behind the bar sprang to life adding an unwelcome sputtering racket underneath the music. After 5 minutes and very frustrated i went to the bartender and asked if there was any way she could turn it off. She said no, but very graciously offered to reseat my party. Sadly there was no escaping this noise and our new table (while an upgrade) was still very much within earshot of the Heineken Express, which refused to leave the station for almost 20 minutes. I grew up in Greenwich Village, so my only other experience visiting Blue Note venues is with the original on West 3rd where I've had several memorable evenings and never one that reflected poorly on the Blue Note brand or label. Their Napa location, which sits on a literal backwater of the local river, now holds the distinction for changing all that. I would never go back to this club and encourage others to seek out alternative venues for their favorite performers. Both the bartender and manager stated that it was an established problem but that previous attempts to fix it had failed and besides "it was only really a problem when the music wasn't loud enough." The technical section of the venue's website boasts a listing of the room's Meyer sound system equipment easily worth over $80k. They might consider adding their back bar cooler to this page so patrons know what they're getting themselves into.

Yelp
What a nice venue for an intimate concert. We came here April 2022 and vaccination cards were still required. Luckily I did all my research before we went. There is close by free parking, which is always a plus. Doors open at 5:30 and we got there right after. The hostess was really pleasant and gave us some options for seating. My husband bought the seats closest to the stage, which I probably would've gotten the booths since they seem more comfortable and not too close. I didn't know who the artist was except that my husband was a huge fan. We were there to see Kaleo Wassman of Pepper (Hawaiian artist). All ordering is through a QR code and you just keep building so the tab can get quite hefty. I know ours did, but we had a great time. The server was really attentive and nice. Overall: -Food was not the best, but decent. 3/5 -Drinks were good. 5/5 -Ambiance 5/5 -Service 5/5 -Performance 5/5 We had a great time and hoping to come back to see another performance!

Yelp
I attended a concert here with a couple of friends. I like the venue. It's smaller than Yoshi's, but the seating (quality of chairs & tables) is nicer in my opinion. And the way the room is set up, there are no bad seats. The food was really good. I had the ribs & spinach dip. Note that the plates are small. I guess it's supposed to be tapas? (Or maybe they're just acting funny with the portions.) The drinks were good too. Our waitress was great. The other servers just coming and shoving plates at random people to figure out whose food it is was irritating. We don't know these people at this table, and you just passed their plate along to a bunch of random strangers to breathe on. They need a better system of delivering orders. Cute atmosphere in there and downtown Napa. During the daytime, downtown Napa is very tacky. At night, much better than I expected.

Yelp
Thenardier would be proud. They automatically give themselves a 30% tip when one orders food which is already seriously overpriced. Six chicken wings, fries, and two drinks cost over $100! Charge them for the lice, extra for the mice, 2% for looking on the mirror twice. The mandatory 30% is probably written in the lengthy contract one is supposed to read on one's phone when trying to order food in the dark. What a bunch of scum bags.

Yelp
My first live concert since the start of the pandemic ended up being a success! My friend and I saw hip hop violinist Damien Escobar this past summer and it was an excellent show. The performance was held outside at Charles Krug Winery. This was my first time ever attending a concert through Blue Note and I felt that the venue was setup nicely. There was plenty of parking space available and the check-in process was easy. My friend booked our tickets through Ticketmaster and they were verified upon arrival. The Ticketmaster fees are always overkill, but that's no fault of Blue Note. Luckily the cheapest seats in the house still afforded us a nice view and great sound. Each section is first come, first serve. My friend came early to snag our seats, so we had a great view of the stage. All of the tables were socially distanced which made for a safe and comfortable time. They had food and alcohol available for purchase, but I had just eaten a wonderful meal at Farmstead. My friend had a drink to which she said was pricey. I've just always come to expect this when going to any type of event. No outside food or drink is allowed in the venue. All in all, this was a good first-time experience with Blue Note and Charles Krug Winery is a beautiful venue. I think that once things get back to normal, I would love to see a show at Blue Note's actual venue in downtown Napa. Until then, I'd be happy to attend another concert at their venue with Charles Krug Winery.

Yelp
I attended the jazz festival at Silverado Country Club. I was very impressed by the music, food and overall atmosphere. Napa is becoming a great destination for all genres of music. This festival was one of the best. I got to see Mary J Blige in my own backyard. The food, drinks, traffic, etc was done very well. I appreciate our community becoming more inclusive. Blue Note is always the best at bringing music and people together. I can't wait to attend this event next year.

Yelp
Beautiful ambience, clean, light setting is perfect. The tables and chairs in the main front stage are situated perfectly without causing colliding with each other. The back side of the stage where me and my friend sitting it's too tight. Chairs are too closed on each other to even move our shoulders. The food services and waiters needed more experience. Our waitress was not proactive to our needs. I have to asked different waitress to get services(simple tasks like water and drinks) and yet expect us to pay tips (18% or more). The performance was amazing and beautiful.

Yelp
I'm always looking for something new and fun to do for date night with hubby and the Blue Note did not disappoint. We had a great time at this small and intimate venue. I was pleasantly surprised with the seating especially when considering it is a very small venue. Our drink and food orders came out very quickly and the waitress was really friendly. Since this venue is downtown Napa we decided to stop by Housely before the show for a glass of wine which was nice. When we were done the venue is actually within walking distance so there wasn't a need a move the car. Tons of restaurants nearby which is also nice

Yelp
We'd never heard of sax player Richard Elliott. Got front row tickets and wow!! We were blown away with how great he and his band were! The service at Blue Note was really first rate, and the appetizers we shared were fantastic. I signed up for their mailing list, and hopefully we can find another show that we want to see there soon. Really a first rate venue.

Yelp
This is a Must! EVERYONE who works here is SO SO SO kind! The venue is intimate where there is not a bad seat in the entire place! We saw Morgan James. We even paid extra for the intimate meet and greet. It was such a memorable event. We will DEFINITELY RETURN

Yelp
The entire staff was incredibly friendly & personable -we were super impressed. Although cocktail prices were a tad pricey, they were superbly crafted. Leilani was our server and took very good care of us. Blue Note is a classy jazz club & I have enjoyed each concert I've attended here.

Yelp
Went for local talent night. A horrible and offensive "comedian" opened the show (supposed to be music), and apparently the staff didn't know who he was...but they didn't bother to stop him until a patron complained. Food was served to us from a tray that had dirty dishes on it...pretty sure that is a health code violation.

Yelp
The food was good, but the service....second to none!!! We have a great experience each time we go, but for some reason the service was exceptional for the early Keiko Matsui concert.

Yelp
I went to a show here for the first time recently. I waited in line nearly an hour early to try and snag a table for two. When it was finally time to head inside and pick our seats, however, the worker escorting us said there were no tables for two. We then instead chose to sit at a communal table right in front of the stage. On the way to the restroom (which could use some major updating btw), I saw a few tables for two. They were all the way off to the side, though (it's longer side to side than it is from front to back), so I'm satisfied with where we ended up sitting. Coming in I was afraid it would be tightly-packed after seeing pictures and reading reviews. I ended up having someone sitting right next to me but I did not feel squished in at all (I was at the front end of the table with plenty of space to my left I will say), and no one sat next to my sister who was sitting across from me. There's a two-drink minimum; I got regular bottled water for a few bucks each. We ended up getting 3 drinks between us and weren't asked to order another one. Service was a bit robotic and cold (I could tell our server has done this a million times and not wanting to deal with people lol). Also, she was pushing for us to use our card for whatever reason but we were able to pay by cash. Our particular show lasted an hour, and we headed to dinner after just down the street. We found street parking just about right across from the venue and parked there all afternoon since it was a Sunday. Really intimate venue with plenty of food options nearby. I would definitely come here for another show.

Yelp
We were given tickets from our hotel to see a few concerts which was a nice complementary with the a two drink minimum. The band that was playing that night was amazing but the food was over priced as fries were 9 dollars and came in a cone severing. I ordered the double stack slider burger (26) for the kids. The honey chicken entree which was about (32 or something) was too salty and I had to send it back. The chef agreed that it was the brine that the chickens was marinated in was salty and the waitress apologized. The fingerling potatoes were ok but I couldn't eat it with the chicken due to the overwhelming salt content. I replaced it with a chicken caesar salad (18) plus additional for the chicken and I requested a different chicken. I was told it wouldn't be from the same batch. The chicken again was so salty omg!! The chef is definitely a little heavy handed. The ambiance was nice as it lit up blue inside and created a nice atmosphere with the music. The wine selection swere ok. This place the night I went was kid friendly with the kiddos being over 13 so my two teen sons were able to come and have a great time. I will return but may eat before I come and just enjoy the drinks. Nonalcoholic beverages range from 4-5 bucks and wine about (18) a glass and up depending on what you get and bottles of various prices which were to be expected. We ordered a bottle of Moscato from a brand I hadn't heard of but it was good. I definitely recommend this place but not so sure of the food. The food I heard is always different so it may better for someone else. I would check it out!!!! 4 stars for the music and about 3 for the food.
