My first time here. Was asked to pay an entrance fee to the restaurant, I did, then learned later from another customer that there's no entrance fee to access restaurant services. Total rip off! I do not recommend.

Had to wait for about an hour for a simple order of chips and sausages. ||Most items on the menu are not available||Quality of food is poor.||When asked what was causing the delay, the waiter responded rudely that we have to be patient.||Most staff are also wearing torn clothes which shows a poor image of the hotel||I would recommend that some one should go into thika town to get food and avoid this place

I have been staying at the Blue Post for many nights since April 2025 and during that period have noticed some impressive upgrades.||Most notably the Service has improved. Prompt and efficient restaurant and reception services and great quality food from Stephen the chief chef.||Overall we have seen that the General Manager, is Peter going out of his way to up lift this icon of Kenyan history and paving the way with new staff and training to secure a respectable and worthwhile future. Even the new reception staff are brilliant

The place is good, but the service is extremely slow. We stayed for 20 mins before a waiter talked to us and another 25 mins before our drinks were served. We ended up not ordering food coz it could have taken another 3 hours before we ate. We opted to drive to some other place where we could be served better.

A three star restaurant rating with a one star service experience. The waiters are extremely negligent and slow...you literally have to beg them to serve you. They are also kinda racist cause they serve white and Asian people before you smh🤦🏾‍♀️😂...But at least the food is good-ish. Overall disappointed with the experience. Had to go and see the animals and waterfalls to calm down. And don't even get me started on the music...the inhouse band if we can call it that. Loud and only sings Kikuyu songs...I have nothing against that but this is a tourist restaurant with people from all over the country and even the world...it should be diverse. The toilets are dirty, stinky, and not baby friendly at all. Honestly, the more I type the angrier I get so let me stop.

Disorganized payment system. The hotel charges Ksh 150 to view the waterfalls and another Ksh 150 for the animal park, or you can pay for each attraction individually. We opted to pay for the animal park only at the main entrance. However, upon arriving at the park gate, we were asked to pay again. This was confusing and disappointing, as we had been clearly told we could pay individually. The hotel needs to improve coordination and provide consistent information to avoid frustrating guests.

Eyecatching waterfalls and calming sound of falling water! Small but unique animal park.
