Blue Reef Cottages- 5 Star Luxury Accommodation

Back to Blue Reef Cottages for our sixth visit to Harris. The cottage is even more comfortable than I remember. The views are still amazing and we so enjoyed our week here. In sun or rain this is a beautifully presented cottage. Perfect for us - my husband had a desk to work at (yes we are supposed to be on holiday) and I could sit and gaze at the views when we weren't out exploring our favourite places. Wonderful welcome hamper with Bollinger was the perfect start to our week on Harris. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything. has been thought of including a picnic rucksack so we could take a bottle of wine and cheese and biscuits for a picnic one evening on Luskentyre beach. Wanted to go to these islands, saw this accommodation and just fell in love with it, ok it was needed to be booked two years before we travelled but u can totally see why it’s in demand,, absolutely perfect place to spend our holiday and wedding Anniversary too, cannot fault anything about it, even the weather was lovely for us.

we had to postpone our trip a year because of covid 19 travel restrictions in 2020. Rhoda was great and helped us reschedule. Blue Reef Cottages are even better than the pictures. It was well worth the wait and we finally arrived. We spent 11 nights here and look forward to returning. The cottage is exactly as portrayed in the description. Very clean and up to date. There was not one thing we could think of that should be added or changed. Along with the amazing cottage comes the amazing view. We walked down to the beach every evening. A beautiful peaceful place that we hope to return to soon. Thank you Rhoda for sharing your place with all of us.

We stayed for a week in September and loved this beautiful place, the sea views are stunning and the accommodation is luxurious and provides everything you could ask for. The surrounding beaches and scenery are fabulous to explore with Luskentyre beach being our favourite, it must be amongst the most amazing beaches anywhere in the world. We had been looking forward to staying at Blue Reef Cottages since we booked 18 months ago. We arrived in glorious sunshine and it was amazing. Rhoda the owner was there to welcome us and explain a few details about the cottage. It is in a spectacular location overlooking the beautiful Scarista beach. Inside, the owners have thought of everything from the welcome pack of fresh local produce to the lovely homely feel around cottage. It is 5 star luxury with views to match. We had a fantastic week here and cannot wait to return to Blue Reef Cottages.

I came up with the crazy idea to come to Harris in January as part of my 40th celebrations and found Blue Reef Cottages online. The cottage was luxurious, the bed one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and the view to die for. Rhoda is also lovely and friendly and welcoming. ||||We had the upset of having to leave 24hrs early because of the weather but hope to return. Beautiful beautiful place. Highly recommend the pizzas from Lorna’s Larder which is only about 10 mins away!

Stunning cottage in a stunning location, with a great host. The view from this cottage (Taigh Iain) was breathtaking when the sun was out and pretty damn amazing when it wasn’t. The cottage has everything you could need (including loads of maps and mountain bikes). It is a lovely place to relax or a great base to explore the stunning beaches and the hills in the area. Rhoda and Neil are top hosts who make sure everything is in order without crowding you.

This location is simply stunning, and the cottages do it justice. On sunny days, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer delightful panoramic views of Ceapabhal, Taransay and the North Harris Mountains: on rainy days, the views are as spectacular, as you enjoy a grandstand view of the weather arriving from the North Atlantic.||||On a sunny day, you can sit outside and relax; on a wide day, there are always the sauna and whirlpool bath. It is an amazingly relaxing location that we love, and the owners are always available to advise on the locality, including whether the local scallop diver has been able to harvest or the langoustine and lobster fishermen able to collect their pots.||||This is a great location: we love walking (and eating) our way around the islands, but golf, kayaking, sea swimming are all possible nearby.||||We have already booked to return.
