A great week in the mountains! The cabin was cozy and comfortable for the 8 of us (adults). I have to admit, when we first rolled up we were concerned about space but looks are deceiving as there was plenty of room for all of us. One of the best attributes of the cabin is its location. It is only a few minutes to Wintergreen, Devil’s Backbone, Bold Rock, Blue Toad and a number of other wineries, breweries and distilleries. We never felt far away from anything. The views were also spectacular and the secluded nature of the house was an added bonus. Our hosts were also great and very attentive! If you want a mountain getaway I’d definitely recommend.

“This place is just 100% concentrated coziness,” said my wife upon entering this house, which was to serve as home base for a weekend getaway full of cycling, breweries, and relaxation. She was right - this place has all of the elements of an ideal mountain house: a grand family room, ample outdoor space with gas fire pit and picnic tables, a well equipped kitchen, and several spacious bedrooms spread across three levels, each within range of robust WiFi and equipped with Roku Smart TVs. The house is situated in a place that feels remote, allowing visitors to unplug and relax, but is still just 2 mins driving from top notch breweries, cideries, and wineries. And access to Shenandoah National Park’s “Skyline Drive” is only 20 minutes away. Many more local hikes are even closer. Everything nearby is laid out in the excellent guides prepared by the hosts, who clearly went to great lengths to outfit this property for their guests’ comfort. Thank you for hosting us! We hope to be back.

We spent our honeymoon here and it was absolutely picture perfect. We could not have had a better time if it was written out as a movie. The fire place and fire pit gives you the real cabin feel. The location is second to none. One minute from Devils Backbone brewery and three minutes from Bold Rock cidery. Unforgettable experience and will definitely return
