Blue Room Restaurant & Ice Cream

We came for dinner and it was relatively quiet. The menu is extensive and has lots of vegetarian options. The food was excellent, really tasty and the portions were very big. It might be a little more expensive than other places, but the side of the dishes makes up for it, and the staff are friendly. Recommend.

Very good food and customer service. Vanessa was our waiter and made sure we were happy. She remembered I don’t like strawberry sauce and made sure with the chef did not add it ordered the breakfast sandwich made with mandazi and the crepes.

When I walked through Old Mombasa on Sunday with a guide, I was told that the Blue Room is one of the oldest restaurants in town, supposedly founded in 1951. I went there for lunch, and today it feels more like a modern bar and cafeteria with an international menu. I enjoyed the coconut chicken. Definitely a good spot in bubbling downtown Mombasa.

Went in for breakfast The architecture is impressive and calming The breakfast options were numerous and varied enough for different tastes The pastries were fluffy and filling while the chicken lollipop stickers were savoury and enjoyable.

The restaurant has extremely warm stuff members. They are fast in their services and the place offers really nice food (freshly cooked on order). The price ranges from mid to high but the food portions make you see the worth for your money. Although the restaurant is busy it is not noisy. I really enjoyed the ambience. It is an ideal place to grab a bite with your loved ones while in town. On top of that, they have clean restrooms which i really appreciate

Came for the poussin. Was more like a tandoori chicken so not to the mark. Good service and I enjoyed the ambience.

At the centre of Mombasa town and yet gives you a very cool atmosphere and space to have your meals. It is really nice and amazing for solo dates, group dates, or more. Quite spacious too, therefore providing a cool atmosphere. It is good for kids and family. They have a menu that cuts across, and their food is great. Amazing service from the waiters and waitresses, clean and organised. Suitable location for packing or getting a cab.
