THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE NAMED: SEWAGE SANDS||Our two days at the Blue Sands Hotel were a total mess. The rooms were awful, and the staff treated us terribly. Do not stay here until they learn how to run a hotel and treat people with respect.||Day One: The Awful Smell and The Rude Manager|Our trip started with a ruined, sleepless night because of a terrible smell of human waste in our room from a broken pipe at the hotel. When the front desk opened at 9AM we spoke with the manager Mirela. Together we went to smell our room and she agreed it was bad, saying, "I’ve never smelled a room like this before, this is bad."|They moved us to a new room, but that was the least they could do. A simple room change is not enough for such a horrible start to our vacation. They didn't even say sorry or offer our money back. When we asked for a refund, Mirela was very rude and laughed at us, saying she had "done more than enough." She acted like she didn't care at all about our terrible night.||Day Two: Everything Broke|The new room was just as bad. It had many problems:|• The shower had no water pressure and no hot water.|• The fridge leaked water all over the floor.|• The air conditioner poured water down the wall, making a big puddle that soaked our luggage.|To top it all off, we were supposed to check out at noon. But starting at 11:00 AM, staff kept banging on our door and calling us to make us leave quickly.||Final Word|The Blue Sands Hotel is not just broken; it is managed by someone who is shockingly disrespectful, and Manager Mirela’s bad attitude showed us everything we needed to know. The whole experience was simply horrible.||Do not stay here. They have earned the name Sewage Sands.

Staying at Blue Sand was an unforgettable experience. The view alone is worth the trip—perched above Agali Beach, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramas of the sea that change beautifully throughout the day, from golden sunrise to glowing sunset.||The service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, blending warm Greek hospitality with genuine care and attention to detail. Every interaction felt personal, as if I were staying with friends rather than at a hotel.||The food was another highlight. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious, with local ingredients and flavors that gave me a true taste of Folegandros. Each meal felt thoughtful and satisfying, the perfect way to start or end a day by the water.||If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning views, exceptional service, and memorable dining, Blue Sand is the perfect choice.

No notes. This place from the location, the terrace, the huge breakfast, the room- it was all so so perfect. If we come back to Folegandros we will come here. Yes, more expensive than some other options but you will get what you paid for. They also give you umbrellas and chairs for the beach below since there is no organized rentals. The beach is literally a 2min walk down. There are 2-4 cafes and restaurants there but nothing else. Very quiet and tranquil. (we had on the ground floor with 2 chairs outside and it was very quiet)

Blue Sand hotel is a truly beautiful boutique hotel. We loved every minute we have spent in the hotel. Our room (number 109) was lovely designed with a gorgeous view. Very good breakfast. We will come back!!

Absolutely beautiful place located near the center of the island! They have thought of everything. The room was amazing , bed comfortable, great view of beach and mountains. They have chairs , towels and umbrellas for you to take to beach. The restaurant and bar on site was very good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Villa #1 which sits just above the main road and about a 5 minute drive from the main hotel. It is just outside of the main town of Chora. The villa was very private, had great views, and was beautifully designed and arranged. It had its own plunge pool which was perfect for cooling off. Sunrises were amazing. There was a few restaurants, market, and cafes just down the street. ||The staff was extremely accommodating picking us up at the port and provided a return transfer. We also took advantage of the private boat tour which is captained by the husband. Well worth it and got to see some hard to reach beaches.||Highly recommend renting an ATV as it is a great way to explore the island.||Would recommend and hope to be back.

By far the most special place we could have imagined for our honeymoon! Everyone was so welcoming, the location was spectacular, and the rooms were unbelievable. The breakfast that’s included every morning was 10/10. We can’t wait to return.
