Blue Sky Escapes

Visited Yunnan (Shangri La and Lijiang) through a Blue Sky Escapes customized private tour for me and my husband. We specified that we enjoy scenic mountains and scenery and enjoyed the itinerary and locations proposed. The tour didn’t follow the conventional tourist route but also included some scenic underrated places. Really enjoyed the company of our local guide Jon who can speak English well. We also like the hotels recommended as we prefer unconventional hotels - like the glamping place that was recommended and also some design centric hotels. Also one huge plus is NO BUCKET SHOPS which we really dislike in mass tour groups or local tours. Overall, made our China experience an enjoyable trip. Not a digit in a mass market tour but a private and exclusive tour.

Highly recommend Blue Sky to take care of your off the beaten track adventure trips ! We went to Nepal as a family with 3 kids 9-14. It was a great mix of culture , nature, food and adventure curated by Manda and Amber. We felt well taken care of. Thank you !

We just finished a 3-week trip to Japan that had been organised by Blue Sky Escapes. Our consultant Elaine did such a great job coordinating this incredible, memorable, once in a lifetime trip. Every aspect was flawlessly executed, and it all went without a hitch. The train and car transfers between the cities were seamless and took out all the stress of what would otherwise had been quite a complicated and time consuming set of transfers. All this left us free to just soak up the experience of being in Japan. The highlight Was a private tea ceremony that Blue Sky organised in a Kyoto shrine. What an incredible treat. Elaine and her colleague Marilyn put in so much hard work (and cheerfulness) in making this trip happen. We will be raving about it for quite some time to come.

Our honeymoon in South Africa was planned to an incredible level and was so well organised. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and experience. From Safari in Kruger to a beautiful nature reserve, we enjoyed every minute! Thank you for making such a memorable trip!

Just got back from an amazing 3 generations family trip to Yunnan (9 cities + towns combined) with our toddler. Manda helped plan the perfect itinerary and all the ground staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to all the things needed for elderly and toddler travel. Definitely a trip to remember and highly recommend this travel route and company !

I have used Blue Sky Escapes for 2 trips (Spain and South Africa), and Manda was our travel designer. I love that we can customize our travel experience and that Blue Sky suggests some interesting / different activities that we would probably never have heard of or tried! For Spain, they ensured we had great tour guides and seamless transportation (we travelled in a group of 15 that included seniors and young children) which really took the stress off thinking about that. For South Africa, they recommended very nice accommodation to suit our budget, guides and tours that enabled us to really understand the local culture and see the sights, and were able to be flexible with the itinerary and wet weather changes. She was able to anticipate our needs, keep us informed in a timely manner for any changes, as well as sent us reminders on what we needed to prepare for. Also liked the little touches like leaving us a note in our hotel room to welcome us. The app that Blue Sky Escapes uses is also very useful as it summarizes our daily itinerary, transfers and flight information, as well as other useful info we might need. The Alexandra Black and White tour was a great experience — and it definitely presented a side of Singapore that is rarely seen (or at least I rarely see). Our tour guide, Elaine, was very knowledgeable about Singapore’s history and about the architectural style of the B&W houses, and she was really enthusiastic to boot. It was unfortunate, though, that we could not enter the B&W houses due to COVID restrictions. Communication with the agency was clear and there were timely follow-ups; but again, due to COVID, it took awhile for the tour to be finalised.
