Yelp
During a food tour of Paris, my friend and I met a local hotel employee who gave us dinner recommendations. They were also very accommodating to us, as we did not have a reservation but they still fit us into their dining schedule, when many restaurants would have turned us away. I have to say that we were AMAZED with Blue Valentine's food and service. I loved every single bite. The menu is limited but you cannot go wrong if you want a delicious meal during your time in Paris. We loved loved loved every single bite. The waitresses were super helpful, my friend and I do not speak French that well and they helped us through the menu and explained every single dish to us. Go here and trust the chefs, try something new!! Make a reservation now!!

Yelp
Tested during an UYE, this place was a really great experience. Simon, the owner, explained us that he wanted a place mixing fancy cocktails and gourmet café cuisine. The new fashion in Paris and it's a real success. Cookers are Japanese and they put a bit of their style in the cuisine, very interesting! The menu is simple but efficient. I only took starters because it was part of the deal for the night but the quantity in the plate was too few for me (I'm a big eater!). If I go back there and eat a great quantity with starter + main course, it's a 5th star guaranteed!

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had in my life. Casual atmosphere and impeccable service. Hidden back in a residential neighborhood right off the main strip. Mostly locals eating when we were there. Some of the most perfectly executed dishes I've ever had in a relaxed neighborhood setting. Just a great experience over all. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Amazing place hidden in the many side streets of Paris. My first night here and the group and I decided to go to this place from a list of recommendations of a friend of a chef who works in the Paris area and this was fantastic. Service, food, everything about it was amazing. The group decided to do the tasting menu which consisted of 7 dishes. Here's the line up: 65 degree egg - I love egg dishes and this dish was special. Great start to the meal as it was balanced and actually set the tone for the meal. octopus fried in ink with a white bean sauce - that white bean sauce is done quite well with a depth of flavor that was great. Wiped up the entirety of this dish, it was that good. asparagus - executed well and was a solid dish as an in between for the incoming courses. swordfish with beets - the swordfish was moist and seasoned well. The beets added a nice texture with it as well. pork two ways - wonderful way to end the savory portion of the meal. succulent and juicy....mmmm mmmm good. chocolate mousse with a chocolate crumble bottom - chocolate is chocolate, if you like it then you'll love this dish. The crumble is what makes this dish special though. strawberries - this was masterfully done and tasted amazing. surprise in every bite and should be ordered to finish your night. One of the servers (Loic) is amazing. Witty and cheerful throughout the evening and help to explain dishes and even some french related social qualms that we needed as this was our first night in Paris. Overall a great place for food. Simplicity at it's finest both in look and feel, but the tastes of each dish of the meal is excellent. Do not miss this.

Yelp
The style and presentation at Blue Valentine is unsurpassed. Fine dining without pretentiousness! Reasonably priced. Great ambience. Amazing staff. Great music too. Wine selection is a little tricky because most bottles come only in magnums. Not sure the rationale for this part. We managed to sink a couple nonetheless. Cocktails are delicious though. I recommend giving it a try. Wonderful overall.

Yelp
I echo the other reviewers, Blue Valentine is a hidden gem. It's the best kind of hidden gem because it is 5 minutes from my house. Went there on a Friday night with some friends visiting town. It was quieter than usual, not a full house like I'm used to seeing. The food menu is limited: 3 choices on both the entrees and mains while the cocktail menu is vast. It's the kind of food/cocktail ration I like. It's always a challenge to find exciting non-meat dishes at French restaurants so this place is a great choice if you need to entertain pescatarians (not vegetarians though). We tried all the different entrees between us: tuna tataki, scallops in chestnut sauce and foie gras and I would say the seafood dishes surpassed the foie gras which was a little heavy handed. I had the monkfish as a main and didn't miss having the steak. As other reviewers mentioned, the service is very attentive. The Japanese influence is apparent in the gorgeous food presentation. The cocktails are inventive in the best sense and do not disappoint. Dessert is the star so leave some room. Again they don't stick to the overly sweet French classics. Highly recommended for a relaxed Paris gourmet experience.

Yelp
Very unique restaurant. The waiter translated the menu to us in English. The fish was wonderful. The squid was good. It is a non tourist area with Paris style

Yelp
Delicious fusion in a low key neighborhood. Beautifully arranged on the plate. Leave it to the Japanese/French kitchens to perfect the style and taste. Don't forget to order the yummy cocktails and a dessert.
