A fantastic experience for our honeymoon. We are so glad we chose Blue Waters. We went during off season (September) so can only imagine how beautiful and lively the hotel is during peak season. We had fantastic service, particularly from Nathaneale at the pool bar, Alex the bartender, the brilliant meal staff Takeshi, Daniela, and Sheddy! Woody the cook also made us feel really welcome on the island, Nichole the manager was fantastic. And I must recommend a massage from Shanna - it was out of this world! It was an incredible experience, and we missed it when we left. The rooms are beautiful and very romantic, the pools are so clean. - and they do a great job managing wildlife and bugs. The food is honestly such high standard, clean and well presented. Great portions and you get great value for your money in the quality. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with relaxing atmosphere and a cold flannel and a gorgeous refreshing cocktail. Then you are taken to your room in a buggy and it is all very seamless. The beaches are genuinely private and you don’t have people selling you anything- they do have services such as jet ski you can do but they are so relaxed and you go to them! This was a complete polar opposite to the experience we had on the other side of the island, this is real luxury and we wish we never left. We will never forget this place and we hope to visit again some day.

Just came back from Blue Waters in Antigua and honestly… what a vibe. The whole resort feels super chilled and peaceful, like you’ve wandered into a little Caribbean hideaway where everything is taken care of. The beaches are calm, the gardens look straight out of a postcard, and there’s always a quiet spot to just switch off.||The staff deserve their own shoutout — genuinely friendly, always smiling, and somehow always appear right when you need something. The rooms are clean, comfy, and have that “wake up and breathe” ocean feel.||My favourite part? Breakfast at The Palm and sunset dinners at The Cove. Great food without trying too hard. The spa also surprised me — actually therapeutic, not just a token resort spa.||If you’re looking for a place to decompress, tan, sip, nap, swim, repeat… Blue Waters is exactly that place. I’d go back tomorrow.

My mother and I just traveled to Antigua for a week and were lucky enough to be able to stay at the Blue Waters Resort and Spa. This is a lovely resort with so much to offer, the rooms were beautifully maintained, the food and drinks are top notch for an all-inclusive. But what really made this a special trip was the staff. Checking in with KAREN was so seamless and she was always there to ask if we were ok and how were doing, a truly five star concierge service. Every day at breakfast, I was greeted by DERAH, SPARKEL, and KINA, which brought a smile to my face and made be feel so relaxed. They always wrapped up a to-go breakfast for my mom and it was just so nice to see people so genuinely happy to be there and help their guests. TRAMINE by the pool was an absolute pleasure - when I tell you the sweetest person I met and her drinks were amazing. Also, a special thanks to EMMANUEL to taking us all over the resort about 50 times in the buggy. Truly a great experience, we will be back! I will only add 1 note - it was difficult for a disabled person to get around the resort to some degree - consider a pathway directly down to the beach and to the pool area and definitely to each restaurant.

We were not guests of the hotel but visited one evening from another resort for dinner for my partner's birthday. All of the staff who served us, both in the bar and the restaurant were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails were great and the Caribbean barbecue at the Reef Restaurant was delicious - the ribs in particular were amazing! The ambience sitting out over the water with a live band playing made for the perfect birthday meal, and the complimentary cake for my partner was a special touch. Would definitely love to return on our next visit to Antigua!

The staff at this resort are some of the most hospitable, helpful, engaging, and friendliest people I have ever met in my travels. Kevin, Nicole, Karen, Derah, Sparkle, Emmanuel and several others were always attentive and quick to ensure all our needs were met. I especially want to thank the unsung heroes we never saw like the nighttime turn down service room attendants who made sure we often returned to our cozy Luxury Suite with a romantic ambiance. The Reef infinity pool was my absolute favorite place to spend time overlooking the water, listening to the waves, and watching the pelicans dive for food which never got old. We completely understand that island-wide prices are indicative of our current economy, tariffs, and the cost to import food to Caribbean islands, while also ensuring that hospitality staff are compensated for their expertise in ensuring guests' vacation experiences are seamless and stress-free; therefore, the 14% island-wide Antigua Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) is assessed on all hotel stays on the island, not just at Blue Waters Resort and Spa. When tourists decide to visit this island destination, this should be clear. Tourists should do their due diligence to understand where they are visiting and the incurred costs involved so it is not a surprise once on the island. This is where working closely with a certified and well-qualified travel advisor/ professional can help prepare tourists for these nuances and knowing what to research and convey pre-trip. The mandatory minimum 10% service fee goes to all staff, seen and unseen, for their combined efforts to service the entire hotel. This should not be a complaint given that in the US, 18% and higher are the norm for tips and are now included in credit card machines for services we once would have never thought to tip for, and not even close to the level of attentive service received on this island, and at this resort, both of which fully recognize that tourism drives their economy and repeat visitors sustains the islands' economic lifespan. Many tropical destinations have added tourist levy fees environmental fees, sustainability fees, etc. It is helpful to know that for a resort to be plastic free, it is not an inexpensive commitment. These tropical destinations do not have the recycling infrastructure, facilities, staff, or budget to manage the inordinate amounts of trash left behind by tourists. Research this same problem in Venice, Italy, and the tourist tax assessed to daytrippers off cruise ships who descend upon the city in tens of thousands while leaving behind incalculable tons of trash at the expense of the city to cover. However, this tourism tax doesn't stop tourists from visiting Venice and it shouldn't stop tourists from visiting Antigua. I do, however, wish that some of the current tourism tax dollars went into improving the Antigan road system leading to their resorts as that does not make for a fun driving experience for tourists arriving or departing as airport transfers are anong the first and last impressions to be made to visitors. Nevertheless, I highly recommend visiting this island nation with the understanding that it is not like the more familiar, all-inclusive destinations. And, if it was based on service alone, I would put Blue Waters Resort and Spa up against any other five star property and let them win you over with their epic service and water views! #BlueWatersHotel #BlueWatersResort #VisitAntigua #Antigua #Caribbean #Travel

It’s my first time to make a review for a resort, this one has always been my favorite every time I went there. Room services are swift and time manageable for your needs. Room dining always arrive within 30 mins after placing order. Managers can response immediately if there’s injury or any issues. Even if you’re not looking for a stay, just dining, you’ll be able to find out how friendly and professional the staff are! Food is always good, activities around the island is supportive of your vacation planning! Overall, 10/10!

Stayed here with family over the half term break. External areas are very nice and well maintained. Whilst the beaches are a little small there are 3no' of them on site so always plenty of room to spread out. Nice pool and decked area with good quality sunbeds. Staff ratio to guests is quite high and you get a very friendly Caribbean welcome. ||Rooms are solid rather than spectacular but most have sea views which is nice. The non motorised watersports all included is great. Two areas let the hotel down for me. Whilst the pool restaurant was quite nice for lunch, I found both The Palm and Cove restaurants distinctly average in terms of food quality and way over-priced.||The hotel caters it mostly for all inclusive but not moving outside of the hotel is not for us, so we were on B&B. The pricing strategy for food and drink is a bit out of kilter with the rest of the island and overtime the hotel will suffer because of this. Everything is priced in US Dollars, whereas everywhere else we visited save for one place (The Hut) was priced in ECD which works out a bit cheaper. However it excludes not only a 10% service charge which is consistent across the island but also 17.5% tax which isn't. ||A Carib beer costs 11USD but when you add the service charge and taxes on it comes out at 14USD. By way of comparison, the only other place we visited that charged in USD was The Hut at Little Jumby. A carib beer there costs 9 USD however that price already includes the 17.5% tax. You are therefore paying an extra 4 dollars for a simple beer against one of the other top venues on the island. The same applies to food in the restaurant. You will regularly pay between 42-50 USD for a main course and then have to have 27% added onto your price.||We ate at some lovely places including Casa Roots, Bar None and Le Bistro with the first run by a French Chef so you can expect quality. These places are significantly cheaper for much better quality than Blue Waters in terms of food and drink. Whilst the hotel has a number of good points, the pricing of food and drink if not reviewed will prevent many from returning in my view as you can get much better value elsewhere.

We first visited Blue Waters Resort & Spa in June 2018 (stayed in a Cove Suite) and returned in August 2025 for a 1 week stay at Blue Waters’ Rock Cottage - a spectacular private 5 bedroom compound located on its own rocky point, with absolutely everything you could want: incredible ocean views, 2 private swimming pools, a private dock with direct access to a secluded cove and beach, and all with close, easy access to all of Blue Waters’ other beaches, restaurants and amenities. Blue Waters’ service throughout was always warm and friendly - from the moment we arrived, we were treated like we were home with family. Nicole was wonderful and looked after every detail for our stay and that was true of everyone at Blue Waters.||We enjoyed 2 separate days out on the ocean in one of the resort’s two private boat charters, 1 an unforgettable all-day trip over to Barbuda to enjoy Pink Sand Beach, Princess Diana Beach and snorkeling off Spanish Point. August is low season and we enjoyed those sites on Barbuda all to ourselves - miles of incredible turquoise waters, soft sand beaches and incredible, unspoiled natural beauty. Saw incredible sea life - swam and snorkeled with turtles, stingrays, fish all around … saw a 5’ or 6’ tiger shark right up at the boat … an unforgettable experience. ||Food and service at each of The Cove, The Palms and The Reef restaurants were wonderful; Pelican Bar and nightly live music was magic to end each day. And the August weather for us was absolutely perfect all week long. ||Thank you for a wonderful stay, our return to Rock Cottage in 2026 is already booked, this time with our entire family. See you soon.
