This a really cool little place with a lot of history. The food here is great. It is done buffet style but it is real southern style food. There is a main area that is main course items, a salad bar and dessert bar. It is nestled in a cute little town and is a great place to go for a day trip. It is a 20 dollars well spent for the food. It is an old home that has multiple dinning areas in each room and section of the house. It is a family friendly relaxing envrinment. You feel as if you are having a meal with friends and family. I did not get too many pictures as is not to be rude and inconsiderate. There is also a gift shop next to the restaurant as well. If you choose to go here you will not be disappointed if you like southern food.

Nice place to come for a classic southern buffet lunch. Price includes salad bar, 10+ vegetables, 4 entrees and a half a dozen desserts. Fabulous service and setting in an Antebellum mansion. Only issue was having to pay for drink’s on top of a $22 per person brunch.

If you love southern style food, you will love the Blue Willow Inn. The food is buffet style but you still have waitstaff attending to your needs. We always love to eat here. I have the older version cookbook that was given to me at Christmas like 20 years ago. I still have it. I have dog eared pages and used it so much the binding broke down. I went to office store and had it re-binded. Love their recipes.

Great tasting food. Great customer service. The desserts are just like Grandma's! It's a little out of the way, but well worth the drive. Very casual, despite the pictures online making it look formal. I did expect a little more of a selection, but they made up for it with great taste! The pricing was on point. I almost felt like I robbed them! LOL!

This was our 1st visit and will not be our last. After wanting to dine at the Blue Willow for many years, we finally made reservations. Was a bit hesitant going Valentine's Day lunch buffet, but the staff had everything under control. People were seated on time. All the servers made sure fresh plates were dropped off for buffet and beverages were refilled. We did not notice any table crowding, as mentioned by another reviewer. All the trays were refilled with food; food was hot. Especially enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. They even made pink heart-shaped biscuits. All the desserts were tasty. As to dress code, we saw everything from business dress to camo (that's sad). NOTE: To all the negative reviewers, give them another chance. Everyone has an off day now and then.

The dishes were not clean. The food was good although the chocolate cake was a little dry. There is a time set for seating.

The food was very good this time! I actually enjoyed the baked and fried chicken this time! Both were seasoned well and not overcooked. Vegetables and desserts were good too

If you have not tried the Blue Willow... What are you waiting for? Everyone in the Atlanta metro area should go there at least once. If you liked Mary Mac's (when Mary was there), you are going to love the Blue Willow. All your Southern comfort foods are there on the buffet.

Yelp
Looks like we are confusing the Restaurant with the Gift Shop. Most of the reviews that are see are not for the Gift Shop but rather for the Restaurant and therefore are not relevant. Give shop focuses on things local and sell the Blue Willow Inn Cook Book which I have bought multiple copies of. Some on line but most I person. Friendly staff and they are very helpful Strongly recommend that if you go to the restaurant, take a few minutes and visit the gift shop as well. Not physically connected to the Gift Shop but the Gift Shop is just off the back parking lot

Yelp
I was here 20 yrs ago with my then boyfriend. We are now a couple. It's the best place to eat. The gift shop is outstanding. So many things to choose from.

Yelp
Wow Golden Corral would have been a better option and a lot less money!!! $26 + drink for that??!! I'm shocked this place is still in business

Yelp
The food is terrible and terribly expensive. The building is nasty. The staff seemed fake. It felt like a bad ride at six flags where everyone was disappointed but afraid to say it.

Yelp
Hooray for the Blue Willow Inn Restaurant! I am visiting my family in and around the Atlanta area and have wanted nothing but sweet tea and southern food to eat. Well, mommy did it again by setting up a tiny little "reunion luncheon" with some of my great aunts--it was a "blue haired ladies day out" at the Blue Willow Inn...my mom said she hadn't felt so young in years next to all these old women...funny. We arrived a little after most of the others, but that was okay as they were relaxing in these beautiful rocking chairs that lined the front of the old southern plantation home that has since been turned into an Inn and Restaurant with a fantastic Gift Shop. We greeted everyone and proceeded to our table. We had two servers greet us with HUGE southern smiles broadcast upon both their faces. They offered us sweet tea--as much as we could drink--and flat ware, lots of plates and napkins so that we could enjoy ourselves at any of the massive buffet tables set up throughout the large foyer. WOW! Here I go... Now, to be honest, I am not a lover of the buffet style dinning. I feel like the only thing that ever truly gets accomplished at these places is a larger waistline...but I am on vacation, so YOLO! I started with some dumplings, some really good dumplings. I moved over to the mac n cheese area, yep, I am getting that too. Next I spotted some fried green tomatoes...oh yes, I will be grabbing those too. Then the collards, then the cornbread, then the fried chicken, then the...OMG, my plate is really full. So I went to the table to work on what I had. Pretty soon, I heard one of my great aunts talking about cabbage...help me save some room--I LOVE CABBAGE! I got a clean plate and headed in for more. Do you see why normally I am not a fan of buffet dinning? Yep, no self control! But it was ALL SO GOOD!!! After all of that, it was dessert time. Double WOW!!! There was peach cobbler, banana pudding, coconut cake, pound cake, the list goes on and on. I feel like the chef here doesn't want me in that tiny little NYE dress...it's okay, I will starve tomorrow...lol I grabbed up LOTS of dessert and thought, "I will get another sweet tea once I get back to the table to wash this all down with," but guess what? When I arrived the server had already filled my tea, brought more napkins, cleared the dishes and was chopping it up with some of the old ladies at the table. Excellent service! I asked the girl if the only clientele here were elderly, and she replied, "Yes ma'am, all old ladies and a few old men." Apparently this is why they add the tip into each plate, and for about $20 they deserve more of a tip than the tiny 10% that is added. My mommy gave more, a lot more, to make up for the older ladies we were dining with--one who actually complained about the tip being added--see, that's why they have to do it. I really loved the food at Blue Willow Inn, I enjoyed the Gift Shop and truly had a wonderful time visiting with my extended family members. Thank you Blue Willow Inn for making it so perfect. Southern Hospitality at It's Best!! Still catching up on my Thanksgiving reviews....thank you for being patient. This was before that awful foot surgery...I am just happy I could visit my fam and teach them about yelp. Stephani Smiles for Blue Willow Inn ;)

Yelp
True blue southern food , intimate setting. I recommend this spot highly. The food was wonderful! My visit was Saturday evening. The service was perfect! I ate too much to try the desserts. I definitely want to go back.

Yelp
Southern hospitality and the best of southern cuisine! Collard greens, the real McCoy mac-n-cheese, the best fried chicken south of the Mason Dixon line! Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes with chutney. The endless dessert bar. Endless biscuits and cornbread. Sweet tea that will make you smile!

Greg R.

Yelp
Veggies are good. Fried chicken overrated. The price for the quality is average at best. The coconut cake for dessert is excellent. Peach cobbler is slightly below average. Service was excellent. If you're in the area, go ahead and stop. Don't make a special trip.

Brandon H.

Yelp
Took my grandmom here for her bday. She loved it!! The whole family loved it. The all you can eat soul food is a dream come true. This is real soul food not like Golden Corral. The food is amazing and service is too. I'm make a trip to eat here again. It was worth every single dime!!

Yelp
I had the opportunity to stop in the gift shop before having dinner at the end. Judy demonstrated extraordinary kindness. For me, she is the personification of southern hospitality!

Yelp
Great food .... HOWEVER - We had booked a large party for a rehearsal dinner from 6pm-8pm. We were in the middle of the speeches around 7:45 and the lady running the place throws open the door to our room and yells "Where's the ring leader?" and proceeds to tell us that we have to leave as she has "a hall full of people". We remind her that we had booked the room until 8pm, but she didn't seem to care as she orders the staff to start re-stocking the room for the next patrons. We had to cut our time short due to the noise of the staff - really did not appreciate the rudeness of the lady interrupting our dinner to kick us out.

Yelp
Chochtkes galore! Fun southern country home type stuff. A great place to go after the buffet food coma.

Hugh C.

Yelp
The one gift I wanted to get was a sign that that said "Redneck Welcome Mat: GO AWAY"

Shealy S.

Yelp
The food at Blue Willow is very delicious. Customer service is good also. The food is always fresh and hot. It is the ideal place for a scrumptious Sunday meal. The deserts are good also. To me, the peach cobbler is the best!

K. Alynn R.

Yelp
We invited another family with us with an idea that the food and ambience would be decent. Buffet was messy as the staff did not bother to at least wipe the droppings from the buffet line. Salad bar sits right in the window where the sun heats up the vegetables, cooks bursting out of the kitchen relaying to each other what needed to be replenished. The only thing we liked was the chutney, peach cobbler, and fried green tomatoes. I agree with another review to make it a quick stop, but not as a special trip.

Yelp
Saw a flyer advertising they have a "Low Country Boil" and Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday Nites. I wanted to treat my buddy from New Orleans to some of his homecooking in GA. Got to restaurant, looking for the crawfish, gumbo, and all the new Orleans fare, nothing!!! They had some fried catfish & hushpuppies, stuffed crab, and some breaded shrimp that was not prepared right. We had to ask for the Prime Rib and the server did not know what medium well or well done means. I was highly disappointed. Staff was friendly, which convinced me to stay.

Yelp
As visitors from the north, our friends shared southern hospitality and food with us from charming Blue Willow Inn. The atmosphere was delightful and food was delicious! We would recommend it to others to enjoy the same as us!
