Stop #3 on my wife and I's Maine Ice Cream Trek. Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar is a quick service vibe type of place which is great. We had zero wait when we popped in but I can see it getting busy quick. I LOVE soft serve and they had additional flavors than the typical chocolate and vanilla so I had to try. I believe the flavor I got was coffee (if you're following our ice cream trek, you're probably over me saying that I got coffee lolol) and my wife got strawberry. Listen, we like what we like! Service was fast and efficient. and most importantly, the ice cream was smooooooooth and delicious! I would definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

Order the small, haha. We made the mistake of ordering a medium, which is basically an extra large everywhere else. Sooo much ice-cream, but it's soooo good. We go here once a week with my kid, and it's always a great treat. Great prices, and holy do you get a ton of ice cream for the price.

This is a walk up ice cream shop. You can get both soft serve and hand dip ice cream. I had the butter, pecan and caramel sea salt truffle. Both were excellent. We also tried the. Black raspberry, and blueberry ice cream. which were also really good. The hand dipped ice cream has a nice creamy texture and is not grainy. The teenagers working in the area were cutting up and ended up throwing a pen out the window at me by mistake and we were very apologetic but otherwise service was pretty quick even with quite a crowd building up.

We wanted the Maine Blueberry ice cream and boy did they deliver ! My friend got two scoops on a sugar cone and it was as big as her head, I got one scoop and it was more like three. It explained the price but it was worth every penny as that was THE best ice cream I’ve ever had … creamy and blueberry delish!! Also cute area out back to hang out and eat it !!

Stopped there a few times while visiting Bar Harbor. Ice cream always delicious. This place really gives you a generous amount of ice cream! My vwife and I tried several different flavors and styles and all were delicious! It's nice to have a place that really gives you your money's worth! Will definitely stop again when passing through.

We went here once but didn't realize it was cash only, so we came back the next day. Kinda stinks, I know there are some drawbacks to credit for small businesses but in this day and age it seems difficult to justify not accepting card. With that being said, this was my favorite of the ice cream places we visited. I got the smores flavor (one of my favorites in general, and it was great! They kind of forgot my wife's chocolate lover's but did get it out when notified. They seemed short staffed. The ice cream itself was creamy and soft. The portion sizes are great and the prices were not too bad given the quality of the ice cream and the sizes.

Open later than other ice cream shops with an outdoor windows or indoor seating. They have both soft serve and hard-scoop ice cream. I had a medium soft serve cone and the ice cream was nine inches off the top of the cone... can't imagine what a large would look like. Besides the good portion, friendly service.

Fantastic! Huge serving for the price. Great value. The hard serve ice cream is from Maine and very delicious. We tried the blueberry, toasted coconut and orange sherbet.

Great ice cream to wrap up the day but highly recommend you come prepared to wait for your delicious dessert as the staff is doing the best they can with serving all the different flavors in the homemade waffle cones that are prepared daily. Had the blueberry ice cream which was creamy, tart and refreshing while the rest of the family was in their treats after hiking around Cadillac Mountain in the summer sun.

After driving by a few times we stopped her for ice cream. Staff was super nice and quick. I ordered a small and was surprised by the size of the scoop! The blueberry was very good. They have a nice indoor space, but we sat outside in the outdoor seating since the weather was still nice!

They had really great ice cream, the toasted coconut was one of the best I've ever had. You can see the chunks and feel the texture. The portions were generous and the staff was helpful. They had tables to sit but was right next to the busy road, but that's as expected out there.

A great ice cream shoppe open until 9 pm and accepts cash only. They have hard and soft serve. We shared a flight and for $10 we were surprised how large the portions were! They had so many unique flavors, it was hard to choose. Of course, we had to try the blueberry and it was excellent. We also had Maine tracks black raspberry chip and chocolate. The portion was large enough to split three ways. They are open later than most ice cream shops, and at 8:45 the line was long, but service was fast and efficient and they closed promptly at 9.

Stopped in for ice cream after a day at Acadia NP. Saw great reviews for this place! Ice cream was great! Cute little dairy bar with a ton of ice cream flavors. I got blueberry and my husband got another flavor. The small cup was a lot of ice cream! Only reason for a 4 star was the restroom.

Realizing that we haven't had any ice cream on our trip yet, we dropped by Blueberry hill after dinner and ordered a small cup of blueberry ice cream. I was pleasantly surprised who big the portion size was for the cost ($5). The ice cream was creamy and I enjoyed the flavor.

If you're looking for some delicious blueberry ice cream or soft serve, this is a must try if you are in the area. It's creamy, frosty, and filled with blueberry flavor. They have other flavors if blueberry is not your jam but blueberry is definitely their standout flavor.

After spending most of the day hiking Cadillac Miuntain, this icecream was spectacular. It's probably very good anyway, as crowds coming for icecream lead me to believe. Service was prompt & friendly. Cute little icecream shop, will visit again!

This is an amazing ice cream shop with several wonderful flavors to choose from. Plenty of parking and places to sit and enjoy treats. We will definitely return. Beautiful area outside. Service was quick. Blueberry pie ice cream was the bomb - especially mixed with the toasted coconut.

What is a trip to Maine without blueberry ice cream?! This blueberry ice cream was everything I hoped for-with swirls of jam throughout each bite, and a creamy texture without being too sweet. My brother got their version of a McFlurry with Reese's Pieces and he loved it. They didn't have the blueberry soft serve when I went, which was sad, but it just gives me an excuse to come again!

Overpriced. Staff is rude and unattentive. The ice cream isn't THAT good to pay THAT much. We have tried a few times over the years but it is just a waste of time and money.

Delicious! Large portions and was so tasty I ate it all in one sitting and didn't mean to. I got the maple walnut , he had the toasted coconut and we both agree it was some of the best ice cream we've ever had

#1 Soft-serve Blackberry and Coffee Swirl. The combination of coffee and blackberry was delicious, both flavors complemented the other. Best bite/lick is when both flavors are in it. #2 Maine Black Bear. Sweet black raspberry swirls with vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered raspberry minis are just goodness in every bite. Extra points for being not too sweet.

WHAT AN AMAZING ROADSIDE ICE CREAM STAND! Top of the New England food list for me was something with blueberries and this knocked it out of the park. Ample serving for a reasonable price. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the weather while savoring one's treat. The ice cream was rich, not icy, and the blueberry flavor tasted very real versus manufactured. Service was friendly.

We were happy to see this ice cream shop open later than 8:30 on a Sunday. They were pretty busy and had a good size line going on. Hubby ordered a blueberry medium ice cream cone. My little one ordered a blueberry in a cup. They enjoyed it. Great ice cream and reasonably priced.

15/10 pumpkin ice cream is gas service is fire ambiance is superb and the single scoop was gargantuan def recommend.

We stopped by Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar for a post-hike treat on a Sunday evening. It was cash only, with no seating options - just a little window to order at. Unfortunately, they had run out of Blueberry Pie Ice Cream, so we settled for a Cherry Milkshake and Maple Walnut Ice Cream. Service was lukewarm but very quick. The Maple Walnut Ice Cream ended up being just okay, but we absolutely loved the Cherry Milkshake - so flavorful and tasty! Overall, a good experience.

The best ice cream in town. Casual drive in dairy treat bar. Excellent service and speedy. Try the black raspberry coffee twist you won't be disappointed!

This is hands down the BEST ice cream we've had so far in Maine and definitely the best Blueberry ice cream. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. They also service soft serve and offered 4 different flavors which you can mix and match. We all said we were too full after lunch but we all walked away with a cone and ate it to the last drop. Delicious. Wish we found this place earlier.

We were craving for ice cream and can't be happier to locate this small shop. Portion was very generous for seven bucks We tried to return the next day during evening business hours but it was closed for no reason, I would suggest you call before you plan your trip

I ordered a cherry cordial "Nor Eastah" (said to be like a DQ Blizzard by an employee). It was a cup of ice cream soup for $9. No bueno. My wife's chocolate soft-serve was good and not soup.

This is the spot to check out if you want heaping portions of Maine inspired ice cream! When we went we got wild blueberry, sea salt truffle caramel and vanilla blueberry oatmeal frozen yogurt, in waffle cone. The cones were delicious, as was the ice cream but the portions were almost too big! I think we all got one scoop and it was so big I couldn't finish mine. The blueberry was also quite sweet and could use something to cut through the sweetness. I liked the frozen yogurt which was not quite as sweet and was served like a regular ice cream but just didn't feel as heavy. I'm sure I'll be back but may have to share one portion between two people next time!

Came here during July. Got wild blueberry ice cream. Absolutely wonderful! Friendly staff. This place is cash only, but there's an atm in the gas station across the road if you're in a pinch. Well done!

The wild blueberry ice cream was unlike any ice cream I've ever had before. The blueberries are well incorporated and fresh tasting, and the ice cream itself has a creamy consistency and the perfect amount of sweetness. The blueberry soft serve was also pretty good, with a more mild blueberry flavor and a softer consistency (duh) than the ice cream. Definitely would come back for a larger scoop of the wild blueberry ice cream -- it's just too good!

Back again! The annual trip to Maine. Never complete unless we stop here for ice cream. Their "small" cone can feed 2 people. Seriously!! Yum.

Blueberry Hill had some of the best ice cream I've ever had in Maine, as well as in general. I didn't realize blueberries were a big thing in Maine until visiting and seeing how there's blueberry ice cream and pie everywhere. I got the blueberry ice cream in a waffle cone, and it did not disappoint! It was also really cheap for such a large amount of ice cream in a waffle cone. I wanted to try to the blueberry soft serve, but they didn't have that flavor. They have a lot of soft serve flavor options, too, which is pretty unique!

If you wanna try some really good ice cream in maine this is the place for you. The Ice Cream here is really good. The Service was really good. I recommend this place really good Ice cream.

The ice cream here was amazing! I had the blueberry soft serve in a cup. And you get so much ice cream when you order a small! This place was so, so good! I can't wait to come back here again!

Awesome blueberry custard!! Was so satisfying after a long day at the park. Great to find a local custard place. Service was quick and friendly. Lotta flavors but the original blueberry custard takes the cake.

We were wanting a bit of a sweet treat and this place hit the spot. Somewhat nondescript, but very delicious. The blueberry and sweet cream was especially good. The price didn't break the bank either. A wonderful find not too far from Acadia. If you need a sweet treat after a hard day of hiking, I would highly recommend.

Came here early September 2020 and im so glad we snuck in a visit before travelling back down to Portland. Their "smalls" consisted of a rather large stuffed scoop that would be considered a "large" back where I'm from (NYC). My bf and I got two smalls, with mine in a waffle cone and his in a sugar cone, and it came out to $7 and change! So cheap! Even though there were a few people ahead of me who ordered, they moved efficiently and I didn't wait long. Do yourself a favor and come here for a nice summer treat. You won't regret it! They have a lot of flavors to choose from and their size "small" will surely fill you up. Tip: bring cash, singles are appreciated.

Came here after finding out that where I wanted to go for ice cream was closed for good. This was an acceptable place, but definitely not too awesome. There were a couple of people waiting for their orders when we got there. There were six in our family, and it seemed that the staff was quite overwhelmed. It appeared there was only one counter girl, and one guy in the back making the orders. It was much too slow and after we gave our orders, it got really bad for the several cars that pulled in after us. The wait was much too long. The counter girl kept taking the orders for everyone in line, and the wait times just got that much longer for everyone. Another downer was that although several flavors of ice cream were marked off as sold out, there were at least three more that I had asked for which were, too, but not crossed off. So now I'm on my fourth choice of ice cream, and same with my other family members. Where Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar came through was that a "single" scoop was actually quite large for those who ordered a cone. My kid's sundae was tasty with all of the toppings, and my own blueberry shake which was not my first choice was not bad. But it did have me getting up in the middle of the night with stomach pains...too late at night on the dairy? Prices were reasonable, ice cream was tasty, service had much to be desired, and I think I need to find another, better place.

wowowow if I lived in town, I'd definitely be a regular here! I had to try their signature blueberry soft serve, topped with chocolate sprinkles on a cone. Soft serve is delicious, portions are large, and prices are reasonable -- what's not to like??!

This local ice creamery serves up tasty soft-serve and hand-scooped Maine ice cream. The wild blueberry was delicious. You can get toppings (such as hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, etc.), though we had ours just plain. Overall a tasty stop!

Nice little walk up ice cream shop with seating area. Lot of local flavors in addition to regular flavor. The portion of the waffle cone and ice cream is large and it is just a nice place to have dessert after a lobster dinner from nearby.

Def my favorite ice cream i've visited so far!! We got the vanilla soft serve ice cream. it was huge!!! and the flavor is sooo authentic, it was the original homemade vanilla flavor! super creamy and has a really consistent texture! highly recommend stopping by at this icrecream shop if you ever visit acadia!

We passed by this place multiple times on our way into Bar Harbor, so we were curious about it. My wife saw a sign that they offer blueberry-flavored soft-serve, and that was intriguing, so we decided to stop by before heading out of town. We split a small order of the blueberry soft-serve, and the first thing we were happy to observe is that they're generous with their portions for a good price! The small size was great for us both, and it tasted great! Next time we're in the area, I'm sure we would stop by for either more blueberry or to try other flavors!
