We spent 2 days in Blue Bird Lame Placid. Overall, the hotel was excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The lobby and seating areas were beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. It’s within walking distance of downtown and about a 18-20 minute drive to Whiteface Mountain. The complimentary breakfast they offered in the mornings was great. There’s also a drink station available throughout the day with free tea and coffee. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The only improvement I would suggest for the hotel is better soundproofing in the rooms. Additionally, there were no wardrobe for hanging clothes or mirror in the room. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. When entering the lobby, it was warm and cozy vibes with a beautiful large fireplace and it was also decorated for Christmas. When checking in we had excellent customer service and I wish I had gotten the gentleman‘s name, but he was the operations manager. He did a great job at welcoming us to the location and explained how everything would work. There was breakfast served in the morning and at a cost we didn’t feel it was worth it, but we did not mind walking into town and grabbing a bite to eat there. That was the only complaint I would have about this hotel!! It exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed the lobby vibes with the fireplace and the free coffee and tea each day. The rooms were very clean and spacious and felt that they were a good price for everything you got. The location could not be beat and we did not need to use our car the entire weekend. We are already looking forward to staying here again and cannot wait to come back to bluebird Lake Placid. The staff location and room exceeded our expectations and could not recommend this hotel. Thank you, bluebird staff and hotel for making our trip very special. We will be back back.

Great location right at the end of town. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious and updated. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful. They even had a puzzle and games in the lobby. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Lake Placid.

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is amazing. It’s newly renovated and the rooms are clean and very pretty. There is a lot of common area to sit, it has all day coffee and tea, and excellent morning coffee. Our room had a great view of the lake and so did many of the common areas. There is no restaurant but you are so close to town it doesn’t matter. Ignore the negative reviews and book a stay, especially if you prefer a boutique type hotel to a full service resort

Without a doubt , one of the best stay. This place was so peaceful calm and cozy. The lobby was spacious with large windows facing the lake, had a sitting place which was beautifully set up again, they also had many sitting places with games to play, fire place to relax around and many more. The room was neat, cozy with views facing the lake , and it was so gorgeous as we visited lake placid at the peak time of fall 2024. As the lake view was so within our reach, we enjoyed sunrises in the morning from our room and then I realized why the lake was called mirror lake, water so still , morning mist around , and morning sun-rays made reflection of the place around in the lake look like a mirror, hence the name Mirror lake. The lotion, shampoo and body wash smelled so good and fresh. The best thing about this place is that it is like right in this cute lake placid town where everything was within walking distance. The staff was nice and they have suggested really good food places around. Also this place was like centre for so many things even to drive around. We have thoroughly enjoyed the stay and if ever back in lake placid undoubtedly we would rebook this place. Make sure that you book this place in advance during any peak season, we were lucky to book this place in advance for Wednesday and Thursday night stay, and when we thought to extend our stay the room rate was too expensive and the weekend crowd has hit the place making it pretty busy.

First time we’ve had the chance to stay with Lark at the Bluebird Lake Placid property and we will be planning our vacations around their locations. The rooms were very nicely done, the sheets were SO soft, staff accommodated any need, the lounge rooms were so comfortable. We will go back!

The staff is great and the location is excellent. We were supposed to have a "Lake View", but you would have to go out on the deck and crane your neck to try and get some sort of glimpse of the lake. Some door locks were broken, the deck floor was warped and overall the rooms seem to be in need of maintenance. The lobby is beautiful, cozy and has a great view.

Large cozy lobby that is great for group meals and meeting up. Rooms are sleek and nice, yet lack basic places to put things, which is tough during ski season when stuff is overflowing. Beds are mediocre, but very hot shower. My biggest complaint is the pool has been out of service for days with no signs of being fixed. This has really impacted plans for our family and we would have stayed elsewhere if we knew. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common issue at this hotel. Staff are not very helpful when you ask them about it.

Yelp
Warm and welcoming with updated rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice bar area with plenty of seating and morning coffee. Location is within walking distance to town with ample parking included. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Such a awesome hotel offering amenities such as spectacular views, convenient location and only walking distance to both Lake Mirror & the Olympic Museum. My hotel stay was rather pleasant. Hotel staff was polite, amenities were always being met and my room was always kept clean & rinsed with toiletries. Strongly recommend if you are seeking a warm stay That offers location convenience, modern amenities and provides a sense of quality.

Yelp
Rooms are deceptively smaller than pictured. No real amenities like pool, sauna or gym. Parking can be a challenge. On the positive side, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and it is perfect walking distance from downtown.

Yelp
Such a cute little hotel! Very modern/cozy design. Right on the end of Main Street so walking to everything was super easy. Didn't realize how dog friendly this hotel/town was! At the bar in the hotel another's couple dog was given a toy and treats! Coffee and tea is free with stay...will come back again!

Yelp
NOT ENOUGH PARKING FOR THE HOTEL GUESTS! Went for a hockey tournament and there was not enough parking for the guests staying in the hotel. When asked if they had over flow parking we were told we had to park in a lot about 1/2 mile away and needed to pay and move our cars by 8am.

Yelp
I am borderline between 3 and 4 stars. The hotel does not seem to be finished and I think once the bar and lounge areas are finished it might bring it to 4 stars. The rooms were very nice and clean and I had a lake view. The hotel design is nice and well thought out. Downsides. The staff was not warm and welcoming. No working elevator but I was helped with my bags. The lack of a small breakfast with the coffee was disappointing. The walkable distance to the shops and restaurants is a huge plus.
