Once upon a time, these guys were good. They offered good introductory deals, and great customer service. I'm not sure what changed, but something shifted in a massive way. The customer service is abysmal - I just had an interaction with an agent where I had to ask him 4 times to just directly answer my question, because I needed to go and eat dinner with my family. But no, he just wanted to talk in circles (when he did choose to reply) and insisted he needed 'more details' to determine whether he was going to refund an unapproved bill. The "Further Details" he so desperately needed were just about my intentions to use Bluehost in the future. When I stated a resounding "NO", he informed me that there would be no refund. Well, when I initially asked for customer service to bill me only for a single month, I made it clear that this was a once off payment simply to recover the site to upload elsewhere. The CS agent ensured that auto-renew was on despite me telling him that this was a once off. And so that's why I needed to have the previously mentioned circular conversation with a different, but equally nonchalant customer service representative. If I could rate less than one star, I would.

The takeaway is the Bluehost migration team is incompetent, poorly trained and dishonest.Bluehost may want to rename themselves Blue Ghost. Shame on Bluehost for wasting my time, please do not hire Bluehost to migrate your website, they do not know what they are doing. Please refund my $149.99 for your failed website migration effort. I wanted to get my website out of Ipage because Ipage does not answer phone calls or do chat, so when something goes wrong with your website or you have a question, you pay money to them with no service. I decided to migrate my small business website, which is a digital business card to Bluehost. I have a simple website for my accounting and tax practice that just shows who I am, where I am and what I can do. I called Bluehost and got a gentleman from North Carolina right away who sold me on Bluehost performing the website migration. Now down the rabbit hole. Within a few hours I got an automated message from Bluehost saying there were a lot of errors with the migration, but there was no explanation as to what that meant. I followed up with the sales guy who connected me with technical support, in the Philippines, still with no one explaining what was going on. This started 9/23/25 and they gave up helping me 10/3/25. My website showed as a bunch of code on the worldwide web for all of the world to see. I called the Bluehost sales guy in North Carolina many times and left many messages leading up to 10/3/25. He stopped answering the phone and did not return my calls. This left me trying to get Bluehost technical support in the Philippines. What I discovered in the process is that Bluehost does not know how to fix the migration errors and at the same time blamed me the customer for not having up to date Themes and Plug Ins. After I requested my money back for the migration of $149.99, they said they would not refund the money. One later discovery when talking with the Bluehost staff in the Philippines is that the sales guy in North Carolina failed to let me know that my domain needed to be migrated as well from Ipage. This was after he had me turn off the auto renew for the domain in Ipage which was set to expire soon. Sloppy! I had Bluehost migrate my domain over from Ipage to Bluehost which was easy, but I discovered that 10/3/25. During the domain migration process Bluehost failed to inform me that my email would go down and that I needed to redirect my email through a new IP address. I spent another week and a half looking for a website developer locally in Baltimore where I live and operate my business and found a nice small local business who was able to go into my website history that is saved online and restore my website within 2 days. My website was finally up and running without strange code 10/17/25. Shame on Bluehost for wasting my time, please do not hire Bluehost to migrate your website, they do not know what they are doing. Please refund my $149.99 for your failed website migration effort. The take away is the Bluehost migration team is incompetent, poorly trained and dishonest.

I just decided to look for a new website hosting company and I selected Bluehost out of many available. They no only called me to assist me with any questions, they helped me with transferring my domain name and my website to their system On top of that their attitude to help me and professionalism is second to none. They were very friendly and nice. Yes, they are from Asia and I'm not surprise as they provide much better service that you can get from someone in the USA. Thank you so much Bluehost, I'm glad i made the change!

high end criminals, adding products to you chart I dont know where to start.... they add products to your account, and say its in your best interest... hallloo?? lol.... next, they sell or rehost your domain at network solution and charge you double. They violate EU law, all laws I know... After I sent them the EU laws and council... they where like ohh no we dont mean what we just wrote... then they keep tellin us a professional email is best for us we need it.. even we never used it.... UNCONFIGURED BUSINESS MAILBOX 2,49€ per month... just because its best for us... they violate every legal law i know. 🧾 EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) Article 22 explicitly bans pre-ticked boxes or auto-added paid services during online purchases. Customers must actively opt in to any additional paid service. Relying on opt-out (e.g., “you could have removed it”) is not legally valid. this i what they keep saying in the support.... hey you could have remvoed it... hahahhha we should remove a product we have not added. Talking to this criminals is bad for your mental health... they sold one domain to network solution (which is their company) we never know this or even ordered... its so crazy confusing this criminals...

I had a technical issue that required resolution and decided to reaching out to Bluehost via their chat service. Within a minute or two I was connected to Prashanth. He was very courteous and assured me that my issue was something that he could help me with. He was very knowledgeable and he walked me through in a very clear and step by step manner as to what I needed to do. He was very patient and ensured that the matter was resolved on my end and enquired if there was anything that required his assistance. I was very pleased with the service overall and would highly recommend them.
