Nada Bauer works at Blue Mercury in Georgetown and specifically markets Sisley products. She is a magician. Her makeup talents are extraordinary and highly sensitive to each client and his or her needs. I am not overstating to say that she has provided me with a makeup routine that is simple and has me looking better than ever. It suits me, and I feel confident applying it. I have watched her work with clients who just walk in looking for a specific product and her suggestions are game changing for that person. People leave so contented and pleased. She is a true find. I owe her so much. Thank you, Nada

I have a trial sized cleanser that I really like and saw that it was sold on the Bluemercury website and figured since I was in the area I would just check to see if it was sold in store before I order it online. Well I went in to check and I asked the employees in the front and I got a pretty passive answer. They said it wasn't sold there or in any of the locations in the area for that matter, and I'm like okay...but they just went in about how they don't have it after they initially said so. They kind of made me feel stupid for asking. They eventually said they could order it for me and ship it to my house but after the uncomfortable interaction, I just kept declining and left immediately. I don't think they liked that lol. I've never shopped at a Bluemercury before and I don't think I will in the future. Guess I'll just shop directly from the brand I'm trying to get!

I called and because you can’t order online for in store pick up and I had a large order that needed to be picked up. Gillian was SUPER helpful walked the store coiling up my items by hand, packed and and took my card info over the phone and tossed in a ton of goodies and then I got it picked up on my way home 10/10 customer service. She was a great and made my transaction smooth.

I always get my makeup done at Blue Mercury. I have a special occasion this evening so I booked my appointment 2 weeks ago. I arrived on time for my appointment + the makeup artist was still working on another client. I waited another prepped my face. When she was finished with the other client she asked me if I was ready and I said I was ready a while ago because I came on time and I'm parked in an area where I only have an hour to park. She did not apologize. Looked a bit pissed and I decided to leave. It's supposed to be a happy occasion and when you're late, one could at least apologize and try to be friendly.

I just wanted to share an exceptional experience with Roxanne and Danielle at the Blue Mercury store in Georgetown. My daughter and I were celebrating her 16th birthday. My daughter loves makeup, but is at the age of questioning her beauty. Both Roxanne and Danielle took her and gently instructed her on how to use certain products, but more importantly they constantly fawned over how beautiful she is naturally. My daughter left the store feeling more confident in makeup and in her self-worth. I cannot say enough about these two and I am on my way now from my home in Delaware for a stay in D.C. and purposely did not order from Blue Mercury online, so that I could order from the Georgetown store. Update: Upon returning to Georgetown, I was treated like family and assisted by Moon who answered all the questions I had about my own skin care. She made me feel like a queen. Everyone is amazing and will keep us coming to this store. I never felt pressured to purchase anything and I never felt ignored in this store. Even when they are with other clients, they greet potential clients entering the store and are ever present for assistance. Thank you Danielle, Moon and Roxanne for the amazing experiences.

Happy customer - greeted nicely upon entry (i missed her name, tall lady with glasses and curly hair). Tameya also helped me with my purchase and very happy with the other products she recommended.

Laughing because the reviews are absolutely accurate. The manager belittled me from trying to use the bathroom they just allowed my husband to use, and almost boasted that they did that out of good faith. Rather than explaining that it was a private bathroom, which I am okay about, she choices to speak in a rude tone and pretend she didn’t know she was being rude when I confronted her. If she is that tone deaf, she shouldn’t be in customer service sector. Also, I agree with all the other comments: manager was talking to other staff the whole time and only interacted when she didn’t want the associate to open a sample for us. Save your time. Go to Sephora or buy online.

Google
The customer service at this branch is beyond terrible. They have so much attitude. They have this snobby attitude acting like that they're better than everyone and they're really rude. Every time I go in to purchase something, I regret it and most of the time just decide to leave just so I don't have to deal with the disrespect. Also, they're really disorganized - they're either in your face or suddenly unavailable when you do actually need their help.

Yelp
This was legitimately the worst customer service I've ever experienced. First, the staff in the store treated me like I was shoplifting - when I was looking at the sunscreen near the window, the lady appeared and was like "here, let me hold it for you at the counter" to the product I was holding onto. She recommended a cheaper option like she thought I couldn't afford the CE ferulic acid, which was kind of insulting. And last but not least, when I mentioned I didn't have a bluemercury account, she said "really? Never?" It was so judgmental! I got no recommendations on the product at all since it was my first time buying it, no one even asked. And then to top it off they misspelled my email so now I don't have a receipt! Awesome time. I spent the entire time seething after I got out of the store. I will not be taking my money there and will rather buy from the website direct than face this judgmental customer service. Sephora does a way better job and glossier next door was some of the kindest customer service I've received.

Yelp
Aryn was the kindest. This store is pleasant and the staff is incredible. Highly recommend m61 brand

Yelp
i have passed this place maybe 1000 times and never thought of going in until a yelp elite event beckoned me yonder. Wow, is all i can say! the staff was so helpful and kind! I was so impressed with their knowledge and how friendly they are. Also the store itself is super bright and well organized (really a happy reprieve from the chaos that is the georgetown sephora a block away). I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I came out here for a Yelp event and had a pretty good time! I was able to walk around and browse the wide variety of products this place offers. I found a ton of great skin care products, as well as hair care products. They were quite generous with the samples available too. Multiple employees asked me if I needed help, which I thought was nice. So far, I've tried the Klorane dry shampoo and I absolutely love it. It might be my favorite dry shampoo. Looking forward to coming by here again when I feel like splurging on skin care

Yelp
Ridiculous. Shitty service and no samples given... I thought blue mercury prided itself on providing samples.... and good customer service. Never going back... this is a good way to lose my business. Sephora is right next door and that's where I'll head. I'll be returning my item to the union station shop. This is bs... unless of course they have an issue with brown women walking in to make purchases ... notice the typical millennial white women in the store were given way more attention. Atrocious! In the mean time Sephora was far more welcoming. Hell with you blue mercury... no more buying my products from you. Ugh 01/17/19 Nothing's changed.... standoffish don't know much about their products and don't seem to care if you're a customer or not. Get it together blue mercury. Sephora next door, on the other hand, were happy to see me

Yelp
Bluemercury SUCKS: they will cancel your orders WITHOUT any notification during times when they offer special gifts or any savings. They deduct the funds from your credit card only to CANCEL the order withOUT telling you, then you discover weeks later that the money is still taken from your credit card. When you contact customer service via chat, the rep named Sage just disappears and closes the chat without answering questions. Unacceptable.
google avatar

Yelp
I like visiting the store but their online service is horrible. Do not order online. The gift cards dont work and they dont respond on time.

Yelp
Ordered an on line vitablast c serum from mercuryblue. Received package quickly but was disappointed once I opened the bottle. The color of this serum was a brownish- orange color and had a peculiar smell. (metal coffee smell). Called the number on my receipt and was told to ship it back or return to local Bluemercury store. Went to Marlton store and the clerk called a number and said I need to ship it back they would not exchange it since I ordered it on line during a promotion!! Asked to speak to the person who she just talked with since I was told I could return to local store but she gave some baloney about that what returns said and would not let me talk to returns. Asked to speak with manager and and was told to come back in 2 hours. Ended up going to ups and returning. Not worth the $$, time, and inconvenience!! I'll stick with ultra and sephora.

Yelp
Walked into this store and the customer service was terrible. No one said hello or anything. Only 1 customer in the store with 3 to 4 other employees. Will not shop here and definitely will not come back. Had a very bad experience.

Yelp
The store manager Jennifer is amazing! She is the sweetest and extremely knowledgeable, she knew exactly how to help me! If you ever need anyone who can answer ALL of your skin care related questions and slay your makeup, Jennifer is who I recommend! The store has a great atmosphere and I felt very welcome when I came in to shop. If you ever need help, never hesitate to ask the ladies certainly have your back :)!

Yelp
I made the trip to the Bethesda store to buy a bronzer. They were able to look up the make and color and I made the purchase. when I returned, I discovered that that the salesperson had put the wrong product in my bag. I called to tell them about it within 18 hours. Their response - I should mail it back to them. Really? NO. I will return it and everything else I purchased and stop buying from them. No customer service and negligent sales staff. Yes, I should have looked but I had to get to my car before my meter ran out.

Yelp
Obviously the customer service at Blue Mercury has deteriorated. I went to Blue Mercury on a Sunday at 3:00pm and the store was closed. Evidently they have to close the store when the clerks want to have breaks and evidently, even tho the store opens at 12noon on Sunday, the clerks wanted to have lunch at 3:00pm so the store was closed during this time. I waited for over 30 minutes and when they opened the store they were sulking and so self-involved it was clear that they didn't care at all how they treated me. Their lack of professionalism and customer service was appalling. I was planning on purchasing several skincare products but I was so insulted by how I was treated that I left and will not return.

Yelp
One of the workers greeted my bf & I, gave us recommendations and then disappeared when we were standing at the register. She came out a few minutes later with FACE cream dollops on her face. She claims she was washing her face and then left for a few more minutes to finish applying her face cream, all while she saw my bf & i waiting at the cashier to check out.. Extremely unprofessional. Go to sephora or a department store since all the products they sell in this store can be bought anywhere else.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night. Taking a lovely walk down the Main st. Low and behold, there was Bluemercury! Cute little boutique but big top brand name beauty & cosmetic items. La Mer, Jo Malone, Trish Mcevoy & more. The customer service was outstanding, super friendly, very informative, and provided a lot of guidance without being too pushy on the sales. They were so helpful and they have this MEGA Sale right before the holidays. Will definitely come back here!! The sale is a presale the first weekend of December. Pay now, receive later. It's SO worth it!! When else can you get LA MER on sale?? Just loved their store, thanks a million, love your products & love your service!!

Yelp
This review is for the Bazilian wax with Melissa. She is the best! She is fast and very thorough, making sure your area is completely clean of any strays. I actually went and got waxed in Bethesda and it was an epic fail, it was a shame to pay good money only to look down and not be completely hairless. Ask for Melissa in Georgetown!!

Yelp
Why anyone with good sense, time or money would shop here is beyond me. Their customer service is horrible. The sales staff spends more time chatting among themselves than assisting customers and they seem to only be marginally aware of their products and offerings. As someone who spends a good deal of money on skincare, fragrance and overall health and beauty, I now would never recommend Bluemercury to a client or friend. You never know who's coming into your store, especially in G'Town and who they may work for. With Sephora right next door, you all may want to take a few pointers on customer service from them. I drove 30 minutes out of my way, up Wisconsin Avenue, pass another Bluemercury to get the LaMer product I needed from Neiman's. Stellar service. You ladies could learn a thing or two from the kids next door.

Yelp
Love this shop/GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I came in with a specific product in mind and asked one of the clerks if she had any personal experience with it. The manager/owner/apparent person running the show was on her way out the door (like purse in hand, done for the day) but stopped when she heard my question and proceeded to give me EXCELLENT personalized service. She ended up talking me into a different brand that she said was better quality yet less expensive! Talk about actually looking out for the customer! She also gave me a ton of samples after asking detailed question about my skincare routine and needs. It was just so great and refreshing that she went out of her way to be so friendly. I ended up with a great product, better than the one I walked in searching for. More than that, I was post-gym and wearing really gross gym clothes and she STILL lavished me with attention and great service. I had just been completely ignored for the first time at Sephora ten minutes prior to going to Bluemercuty, something that definitely doesn't happen when I stop in wearing full office attire. THANK YOU!

Yelp
This is one of the places I go to purchase skin products. I do find the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. My suggestion before you go here, know what you want and ask the prices for the products the staff is showing you. Prime example, I wanted some skin lotion and the staff tries to sell me a $134.00 bottle of skin lotion. Now please, unless it is going to get up and serve me breakfast in the morning after a massage, no way!! 3.0 stars:-)!!

Yelp
I pretty much never bother with expensive skin creams and for makeup, Sephora next door is a better stocked playground. So why do I bother going to Bluemercury? The perfumes, of course. And candles to a lesser extent. But the day I pay $50 for a candle will be the day I stop thinking about how many bellinis $50 can buy me. Or shoes. Or friends. Anyways, Bluemercury has a small selection compared to a full-fledged department store but what they do stock is the harder to find niche lines, so fair trade off. If I want to know what the new L'Artisan Parfumeur, Diptyque (fragrance or candle), Serge Lutens, or Acqua di Parma smells like, I'll pop over here for a sniff. They also have the full range of Fresh fragrances, Tocca, and Creeds. The salespeople are generally friendly and ready to help, but just how much help they can be varies. A really trendy looking guy seemed to know his way around the fragrances, but on a recent visit, the saleslady who helped me was fairly clueless. Oh well. At least no matter how (un)knowledgeable they are, they're happy to let you spray and sniff, rinse and repeat at your leisure.

Yelp
My sister recommended this place to me for the waxing. I specifically asked for Melissa who is a godsend! She's quick and efficient and very personable. The waxing area is located in the back of the store and fairly quiet. Plenty of magazines in the waiting area and the rooms are small, clean and I noticed that Melissa did throw out each tongue depressor with every use. It was about $70 for the wax and I will be definitely going back here!

Yelp
I read some great stuff about Bluemercury about their spa treatments, so I decided to give it a try. The staff were really nice, however, the facial that I received was rather disappointing. I didn't feel like the treatment really took care of my concerns. I probably wouldn't recommend their facial to anyone nor would I return.

Yelp
This was The Worst experience I have ever had at any Blue Mercury, I usually shop at The wonderful one on Phillys Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square unfortunately colleagues and I were in Georgetown and decided to stop in! I left without buying a thing due to the HORRIBLE customer service by a pompous, wanna be snob sales associate named JANUARY (as cold as her name) very rude, disrespectful and lacks personality! One thing I dont understand is why miserable people work in customer service...January sucks all the air out of that place with her coldness and snobbish disposition.. I went to Sephora and enjoyed dropping my money where I was valued as a customer and a human being!

Yelp
Lousy service, unskilled staff and highly unprofessional, if my memory serves me correctly a women by the name of Emma I think she was a manger. How did she become one I don't highly unknowledgeable with the products. I will never shop at any Blue Mercury ever. I'll stick to Sephora !!!!! Only chose one star because it wasn't anything lower. How about 0 stars

Yelp
This is where my friends get me birthday gifts, like special lotions, soaps and perfumes. For example, they have Molton Brown products from the UK. [Try MB liquid hand soaps, like "Naran Ji": they last for months, so worth the price.] You can get high-end cosmetics as well: have seen local TV celebrities shopping here for their make-up. They have special deals and "make-over" days with renowned cosmetologists. Perhaps my favorite indulgence is their line of Tocca products: body washes, lotions, and - yes - laundry perfume. [My favorites are "Stella" and "Cleopatra".] And, since my birthday is coming up in a few weeks, my friends will be getting reminder calls... ;)

Jeaneen F.

Yelp
Just left Bluemercury and was so happy with my overall experience. Jennifer was awesome!! She explained the products she was suggesting, how to best use them and provided samples of others that would compliment my routine. She will be my go to in the future!!

Yelp
Heard about this store from family and friends who live in Georgetown for their unique makeup and awsome facial treatments. Decided to explore the area and find the store. Store stands out on its street and inside was even prettier! Everything was in its perfect place with samples to try, staff was friendly and informative about my skin. They even gave me a little makeover to freshen me up!! There were sooo many products that ive never heard of! I bought a few of the fresh sugar lip treatments, facial scrub, BM's M-61 line and even some male products for my dad by Jack Black! I saw they had spa treatments so i read up on them and heard they have a stellar reputation so i decided to try it out a few weeks later. I love facials but am very particular about who touches my face. I made a day out of it and got a purifying facial, brow wax and hot stone massage. IT FELT AMAZING! I love getting pampered and enjoy every minute of it! Definaly returning and heard BM is a chain with locations in a few areas likes NYC! cant wait to visit

Saunya C.

Yelp
I had a very pampering experience at the Yelp event. This was my very first time at Bluemercury and I definitely plan to return. Tanya, the NARS expert was very knowledgeable about the products.

Maddie D.

Yelp
I wish I could give this store 0 stars. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE. I placed an order over a month ago and never received my order. After contacting customer report and NEVER receiving a response they moved the status of my complaint to resolved - it is still not resolved. Then I waited on the phone for over an hour to speak to a customer service agent and was immediately disconnected when they finally took my call. Lastly, I contacted them through the chat on their website. They said they can't find my order (I can literally post screenshots of it right now) and were very rude. I was so frustrated I finally gave up and realized that they are just going to steal my money and I will never received the products I actually paid for.

Gina M.

Yelp
I had a visit to Georgetown and had to visit Bluemercury when I was there! Such a great experience! The customer service was amazing! Everybody there was so nice and I felt like I was being invited into someone's warm home. My favorite brand (Chanel) was there and I got to come home with some amazing samples! I'll definitely be going back on my next visit. Jennifer, the store manager, is so knowledgeable and helpful and she will definitely go above and beyond in providing you with anything you need. Love this store!

Karen D.

Yelp
I placed an order for a large bottle of Jo Malone perfume. I know that Jo Malone perfumes should be packaged in their signature cream boxes. When my perfume arrived, it was not in the cream box but rather wrapped in paper inside the shipping box. After contacting Bluemercury customer service I was told that "that is how they ship them". So if you're looking for purchasing a gift of a Jo Malone perfume (and perhaps other brands they sell), I would shop elsewhere.

Jennie D.

Yelp
Love this place. All the best brands and the sales staff are knowledgeable and give samples generously

Yelp
This beauty store is 2 doors down from Sephora, (where they have a rewards program.....Blue Mercury does not). Good selection of house and bath fragrances, but limited on makeup choices. The store is clean and set up for great makeup presentations, but with the limited selection of makeup brands, I'd head to Sephora.

Katy M.

Yelp
DON'T DO IT. Go to sephora instead...or literally anywhere else. Terrible experience with their customer service department after their system overcharged me for an online order. Horrible company.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Blue Mercury sucks. Ordered a $250 gift card to be delivered via Email on a Wednesday. They were given the correct email to deliver it and can't get it right. Now Saturday and I'm on my 3rd customer service rep all of whom "need to speak to my manager and they'll contact you". Nothing. Now this one says they'll get back to me within a week. What a brutal operation they are. A joke. Don't order from them.

Michele L.

Yelp
Great products, but horrible customer service. I walked in today and two people who were standing there not doing anything. They couldn't consult or help me try different shades of eyeshadow or lipstick. Isn't being able to consult with someone part of a beauty store? Really disappointing as I used to really like this store.

Heidi C.

Yelp
Blue Mercury has a new rewards program which I found confusing and the e-mails were going to spam on my computer. I was one day late in trying to redeem a $25.00 reward after spending $700 just the month before. I spoke to the local manager and wrote to BM Customer Services, and they both basically said "too bad for you- your mistake." There is no customer loyalty with this company- I will be buying my Holiday beauty gifts elsewhere. I buy Trish McEvoy products and their direct website can have great deals and Holiday discounts- avoid Blue Mercury if you can!

Yelp
I'm not the kind of woman who normally shops at stores like this. I'm more au natural. But, I was told by a friend this store has some phenomenal products for the "older woman". Upon entering, I was met by a friendly young woman. She was quite helpful, and very knowledgable about the products. When I mentioned the cost of some, she was quick to tell me LEGITIMATE reasons as to why the costs were so elevated. Vanity is one thing Americans will pay for, time and time again. After a good 30 minute browsing/educational tour, I was ready to check out. The young lady walked me to the sales counter, and began ringing up my shop. She was friendly, polite, and very accomplished in her role. As she was reaching the bottom of my basket, a woman came over and interrupted. She asked the young lady to go in the back to do inventory, and tried taking over. I asked to speak to the manager, as I found this a VERY rude action. When she informed me she IS the manager, I told her "no thank you", and left. Because of Roxy, I shall ONLY visit stores this rude, impetuous "manager" is not!

Daphne H.

Yelp
Loved Bluemercury at first. Ordered a lot of products from them. Then I noticed the free 2 day shipping started taking longer than 2 days. The "free" gifts started being unavailable. Topped off by terrible customer service, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Jasmine M.

Yelp
The store manager is absolutely amazing and so kind. Helped me find the perfect products! I had a very pleasant time and wonderful skincare selection.

Karen S.

Yelp
Do not shop at Blue Mercury online! (1) Their website is not user friendly - I wanted to search for an item & I could never find it unless I searched through all of the products of that brand. (2) Twice I have tried to add a 'free treat' to my bag and by the time I finished entering my credit card #, the item is no longer available (3) Customer service reps are useless. The are trained to say 'I'm sorry to hear that' & 'Is there anything else I can do?' - which is a joke because they sound insincere & they can't/won't do anything to help. (4) I have left at least 3 voicemails for Marla Beck (202-342-9800 ext. 201) & I'm still waiting for a response, which will never come. (5) For a luxury goods company, they have no idea how to treat luxury clients. I don't see Blue Mercury surviving more than a year if they continue on this way - horrible customer service, bad website, clueless to what can make or break a luxury brand. Maybe this Harvard grad should spend less time wearing her product development hat and more time wearing her CEO hat. (thecut.com/October 2018).

Yelp
Hmmm....gone are the days..... I used to love all the Blue Mercury's and thought that what set them apart was that their sales personnel were also basically makeup artists, who could offer endless color matching and suggestions. I visited Gtown store recently and found that line of service kind of indifferent. Had better advice at their big neighbor next door. I also miss their cash register checkout. The whole wandering sales associate with a credit card reader to me lacks the satisfying experience of checking out with a flourish, having your merchandise beautifully packaged in a bag, handed over with a smile etc. It felt rushed and insignificant. Basically, shopping is emotional and when I drop as much money as one can at Blue Mercury I would like the whole experience to feel elegant. I do love their product line, but would basically try the product myself at any store's makeup counter, and order online from BM (and get all the sample goodies) than bother checking in at this particular store.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped in very late one Saturday. The consultant that helped us was amazing. My daughter bought Chantecaille liquid foundation. She has a serious skin disorder and needed appreciable assistance. She got the guidance and direction needed and she's enormously pleased with the results. Thank you for exceptional, kind service.

Yelp
CARLA IS A++ for a brazilian wax. I moved to DC about a month ago but have been visiting the area for a couple years now. I have become a big fan of bluemercury, as I am very interested in skin and beauty products. However, I didn't come to bluemercury for products today. I was in dire need of a brazilian, and since I just moved here, it can be a bit daunting to find a place/person you trust, does a good job, and is sanitary at the same time. I knew bluemercury had some spa services in their properties, so I typed bluemercury into yelp. Immediately I read about Melissa who was given five stars by everyone who rated her. I called bluemercury, Georgetown, for an appointment today specifically with Melissa, but she wasn't in. Instead, I was seen by Carla. I am SO happy Melissa wasn't in because I had the opportunity to meet Carla--she was extremely hospitable, welcoming, and she made me feel immediately comfortable with her. I felt like I had been going to her for years--she was that natural of a person. We had great conversation--which is always really important when getting a brazilian... could be a bit awkward, and I felt extremely comfortable with her. Not only was Carla a great person, but she was extremely talented. My brazilian took only ten minutes, it was practically painless, and she was very professional. Also, most importantly to me, she was extremely sanitary. She threw away the stick every time she dipped it into wax--never double-dipped. I know that seems like an obvious thing to do, but you would be surprised (unless you have witnessed it yourself) how many estheticians re-use them. She has only been with bluemercury for a month now, so I wanted to make her known to the yelp community. She is five stars plus in my opinion. GREAT FIND!!!

Breonna T.

Yelp
Blue Mercury is the cutest shop if your looking for a all in one. The brands they offer are exactly what I look for when I go shopping and on top of that they are also a full service spa!! The setting completely changes once you enter the spa and it's so relaxing. My esthetician was Kai and because of her this will be my new spot whenever I'm in town. She was super helpful when it came to product knowledge and understanding of what I needed and not being too pushy like I saw some of the other girls, it felt like shopping with a friend. My service was pleasant & efficient and met all of my waxing needs. ( we all know seeing someone new for our lady parts is hit or miss) So if your in Georgetown and have some time on your hands, I highly recommend stopping by blue mercury & seeing Kai you won't be disappointed!

Annie D.

Yelp
I suggest going here for waxing with Melissa, not for Blue Mercury or for a spa experience. Melissa is the best--she is fast and efficient and always does an excellent job with brows, brazilians and facials. Melissa's spa room is always very clean and organized and , most importantly, she doesn't double dip into the pot of wax! The Blue Mercury desk can be a tad disorganized and I've had a few scheduling glitches. I would recommend calling on the day of to confirm your appointment.

Patrick C.

Yelp
I was referred to Lance by a friend. It was a good facial and relaxing. He made recommendations on products to help my maintain my skin, but didn't pressure me buy products like many other spas.

K V.

Yelp
This is probably the best metro-accessible spot in DC I've found to look for perfumes. I'm most impressed by the fact that they have most of the Serge Lutens line, but they also carry Diptyque, Tocca and others. I generally prefer the hands-off approach to sales they use here, particularly if I know I'll be in several times trying out different scents before buying. But it's a small store, so help is never hard to find and if you ask questions, they're generally pretty familiar with the products. So recently they were out of the scent I was looking for, but they were able to offer suggestions for alternative sandalwood fragrances in the other lines they carry (without going over to their computer and looking it up).

Yelp
Bluemercury has some great products in stock. I personally only shop there for the Diptyque candles, which i believe is the largest in the area. They have a wide selection of trendy lines in the beauty world and the shop is small and cute; however....the staff seems a bit out of it. Every time I walk in, they ignore me until i ask a question. Plus, I was there 3 times in one month and no one remembered me? It's not H&M people, at least pretend you care about who walks in!

Yelp
Melissa can get a Brazilian done in about five minutes with minimal pain--she was recently featured in Lucky magazine, and for good reason! She is also good at eyebrows.
