Stayed in one of the condos through VRBO. Had a place right on the beach facing the ocean and it was wonderful. The resort has a pool (not useful in December weather) but another heated pool (very nice in December!) as week as a hot tub/jacuzzi that was wonderful in the chilly weather!! Clean, well maintained, good security presence, super location. We had a great Christmas getaway!

Google
In 2025, I stayed here for a week during spring vacation and absolutely loved it! I am from Ny, so I know how Ny pizza taste and I felt like home. At the pools, I met a new friend and I spent the whole week playing with him. The rooms were decently big and such a cozy condo. I hope to be coming back for spring vacation in 2026🤞🤞🤞Would definitely would recommend staying here. 10/10

Google
We.stayed in 1506. Let me tell you, this place is awesome! I never knew Oceanview was just as or more beautiful than Ocean front! Everything was great! The Pizzeria downstairs!Chris the very nice security guard! Everything! We'll definitely be back!

We got married on sept 6 25. Mrs Lori was amazing she was a very big help with everything from day one until the day of. She helped me and the girls get ready she helped set up it was a fair price for what she did. I am very happy with how everything turned out

Jennifer K.

Google
The resort is nice, there was no staff that was around besides checking in. The parking like most places here is spread out. The room is ok its dated, the beds were too high off the ground for me. Im 5ft tall. The room is located on the 15th floor so vertigo kicked in everytime we went out on the deck. The room was clean, the bathroom is small, the couch is very uncomfortable to sit on. We did have everything we needed to stay there. For the price it is worth it. Very convenient to everything.

Google
I had a wedding ceremony and reception at the Bluewater Resort - Lori Regan was my wedding coordinator and did an amazing job. I used services including the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, decorations and coordinating. Prices were very reasonable and I was able to have flexibility in the planning and how I wanted everything to be - including my own catering. Lori helped me with everything including my dress and kept everyone on a schedule. I would highly recommend working with her as she made my wedding less stressful and beautiful.

Two downfalls: 1) condo we stayed in was two bedroom and the ocean view room has 2 queen beds and the other room had 1 queen bed. Our young adult son (22yr) and daughter (19yr) refused to sleep in the 1 queen bed so that meant they got the ocean front room with the master bath and balcony. 2) the loading / unloading zone from the main road was U-shaped and the bedroom we were in (with 1 queen bed) faced that U-shaped zone & the road. A lot of road noise (loud cars, emergency vehicles, etc) would echo at night Pools were great. Great beach access. Lido Deck bar was delicious. Lots of luggage carts and grocery carts to haul groceries to your condo

Moriah K.

Google
There is no hot water, the bathroom door did not shut (room 702), and the pull-out couch bed was uncomfortable. The pool is also small and isn't deep. Other than that, it had a great view and easy access to the beach.

Yelp
I stayed here late September and just realized I didn't do a review for Yelp , but I did do one for VRBO which is who I rented through. I rented V207B , a studio in the Villas across the street. I stayed here because I was looking at buying one of these in the future , but the 1 bedroom in either this building or Villas 2 , not the main building. I really liked staying here a lot. The main building has lots of stuff you can use too while staying here. The pool that goes inside and out is heated and I really liked that one. I did use the lazy river in front of the villa one day , it's small but nice to float around in. The day I was checking out the Shriner's had a parade and I was able to watch part of it from the balcony till I had to leave and watched the rest from the street. It was a 2 hour long parade ! The place was clean and I didn't see one bug. It is also convenient to get to the back parking lot from Kings Hwy you just go down 20th Ave South. Some may not like this older area , but I didn't have any problems. The beach is a short walk across the street. The NY Pizza inside the main building was very good and has a bar also. I also used the dry sauna one day. Their is also a small convenience store within walking distance. I stayed here 2 nights and 3 nights in a nice condo in Cherry Grove. Even though the one in Cherry Grove was newer and larger , I liked staying here better and I slept better in this bed which was softer which most people like a firmer bed , but not me. I want to buy one of these with a view of the park across the street and the ocean in about 3 years. Only thing I wish they had included 1 or 2 Keurig coffee pods. I read some bad reviews of some of the condos in the main building , but again these are individually owned not a regular hotel , so depending on the owner the maintenance of the unit , furniture , cleanliness if done by owner or an outside company will vary. I wouldn't rent any place that is through Elliot Realty due to their high cleaning fees and other charges and I've read so many complaints about their places they manage. It's a shame because when I was a kid we used them back in the 70's and 80's for our beach houses we rented in Cherry Grove.

Yelp
A great place to stay in Myrtle Beach. Each condo is individually owned, so each person may have a different experience based on who they booked with. So look into this first! We booked from Airbnb with someone who had great reviews. It's a self service check-in. RIGHT on the ocean, and a good distance from the busyness of the boardwalk. I think every room has a view of the ocean too which is awesome!
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
Beautiful location.. rooms are a bit dated but very clean, amazing water views. Very friendly staff too

JB C.

Yelp
The ocean views are amazing! The restaurant has great food. The outdoor tiki bar is wonderful. You are literally just steps from the beach. Security is very tight at The Blue Water, but it keeps everyone safe.

Yelp
Unit #811-I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for a couple years now for work-this is the first time I have been so disappointed with a room I rented. I paid $1600 for this room and it was a nightmare from beginning to end. My advice is if you want to rent this room, ask for video of the actual unit before you throw your money away. See actual pictures

Henry L.

Yelp
Great location and great potential, but our experience fell short of our expectations. When we arrived at our condo at Villa I, well first off we didn't know our condo was in Villa I, we were directed to the main resort and it took us 30 minutes to find we were across the street-due to false advertising. When we finally got to our rooms, we found dirty towels in the hamper and my socks were filthy after walking shoeless once in the condo. We began to question the cleanliness (see photos). Our rental coordinator was totally useless, everything written our rental guidelines was wrong or totally missing. It's a nice location with good amenities-but the lack of cleanliness and sloppy management are huge turn-offs!

Yelp
The WORST hotel EVER! RUN! RUN AWAY! Room had bugs on bed and floors; mold, mildew, pink soap scum in shower; hairdryer hanger attachment torn off wall; red stains on couch; dirty floors; old coffee in coffee pot; 1-1/2 inch thick ice buildup in mini fridge; no security latch locks or peep hole on door; smelled like stale booze; rude front desk people; don't help with bags- or anything else. Front desk staff never once apologized for the filth. Once I was transferred to a new room, under protest of front desk staff, male person pounding - POUNDING - on the door at 10:40 pm claiming to be housekeeping. I didn't order/call for housekeeping. Shady, shady shit!

Yelp
Apparently this resort has units managed by the resort as well as units owned by private owners. There are also full time owners here (we had one next door to us that were very nice and provided a lot of local information.) We rented a unit here from a private owner and had not issues whatsoever. (look on homeaway.com for these). The unit was clean and comfortable and met all of our needs. Elevators were fast and they have several luggage carts available for checkins/check outs. Although security didn't seem to be an issue during our visit, we DID see security guards on duty patrolling the grounds at various times throughout the day and night. 20 steps or so from the beach! Seriously, this building is RIGHT on the beach. We took advantage of both the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs and they were clean and seemed well maintained. The parking lot for this resort is actually across the street but that was not an issue for us. Cafe in the main building is open at 7 AM for breakfast and they have the best pancakes I had for the whole week we were there.

Donna C.

Yelp
Extremely dirty condo. Rug in den was disgusting. Spent money buying cleaning supplies and a new rug so our 2yr old could play in the floor. Had to clean all surfaces and mop. Not enough linens. Furniture was stained and nasty. Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Beach is not handicapped accessible. Horrible place
google avatar

J.A. F.

Yelp
Our room was beautiful and spotless. Our view was amazing. That's about all I can say on a positive note. After a day, we were calling it "Eastern State Penitentiary" and the security guy was dubbed "Warden". Don't you dare do anything fun! It will surely be against one of their many, many rules (which they enjoy reminding you about at every opportunity). It was kinda stressful! Not a relaxing vacation despite the high price. Would not recommend.

Bill W.

Yelp
Love the Bluewater Resort. All the units are individually owned, but some units are definitely better than others. We especially love Bill & Phyllis' 3 oceanfront 1 bedroom condos. The are nicely decorated and have been recently renovated with new stainless steel appliances, kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, furniture, beds, smart tvs and Keurig coffee makers.

Yelp
I am now home & suffering from bed bugs that I believe I got from the mattress on the bed closest to the wall in room 1207. Despite a beautiful view of the ocean with zero privacy, the room was nice but not extravagant. After 30 minutes of trying to connect to the WiFi, I lifted up the device & was horrified to see how filthy & nasty it was. * yuck * As I scratch these bites & apply alcohol to my skin.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I've read all the reviews and everything. I look into it and it might have been bad but as I understand it's all been renovated it's all new the owners have fixed the issues. Also they are really pretty nice I've had one on one conversation with them. As I'm typing this right now I'm in my villa and it's great for the money. It's clean and everything. It is a bit small but for sleeping and eating and showering it's plenty room for 4-6 people. Your at the beach you should be doing stuff not sitting in your room. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars because it's all non smoking and the balcony is pretty small.

Karen V.

Yelp
What a STUNNING view! Our family totally enjoyed our visit to Myrtle Beach/Bluewater...we stayed in unit 1303. We read the other reviews and was pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated this unit was because we stayed in this unit last year...we checked on Zillow and discovered it was sold in April of 2017, so we are assuming the new owners did all the renovations & upgrades...it has a brand new couch, and stove and we were very comfortable. Great location...rode our bikes to the grocery store... enjoyed the pools and hot tubs...they were cleaned everyday. We will surely stay in this unit again next year. No complaints!

Yelp
We chose this resort for our end of summer last minute getaway. We selected it based on location (far enough away from the boardwalk area for less traffic) and price (this was an spur of the moment non-budgeted vacation). I read several negative reviews prior to booking and the common thread was bad experiences from private owners and budget travel sites. It seemed that those who booked through the resort were much more satisfied. These condos are still privately owned, however managed and turned around by the management team onsite. This is who we booked through and were very happy. We arrived at 1pm and our condo was already ready. The staff was very professional and welcoming. Why 3 stars is listed below: Pros: the condo was very clean upon arrival, with exception of filthy tv remotes that looked like they had been laying behind a refrigerator for 5 years. We stayed in condo 201 which had a 42" tv in the living room and a 42" tv in the bedroom- a nice touch. The condo was well decorated and painted in warm and inviting colors. There was an electric fireplace heater in the living room that could be turned on without heat which added a nice touch In the evenings. The balcony featured a very nice table and chair combo which was very comfortable. Being on floor 2, the view of the ocean from The balcony was up close and personal- very nice! The condo featured a newer full size fridge, a Keurig coffee machine, a basic toaster, an electric coil style oven and a basic array of eating utensils/plates. Being at the corner of the building, this unit had no outside traffic. The property has security onsite and they constantly patrol every floor and the parking areas. Cons: the unit is small. My family of 3 felt a little cramped. The walls and ceilings show the buildings age. There were visible patches and different Shades of paint on the walls. There were holes in the walls on the balcony and just overall heavy wear and tear. The unit has two AC units- one wall unit in the bedroom and one in the living room. The outside portion of the Ac was 50% blocked by a storage box and the inside vents were 80% blocked by a large box built into the wall which came all the way down to the ac vents where they should be able to freely blow upward. The entire condo with the exception of the bedroom stayed very warm at all times. No matter what temp we set the living room to, the unit would only run for 3 or 4 minutes at a time and shut off. The only cool area in the living room was the end of the couch next to the vents. The bed is very old and makes a lot of banging/rattling sounds getting in and out of it. There were two corners of the bed frame which stuck out into the walkway from the outside entrance to the kitchen which constantly banged and scraped our shins. We ended up Having to set back packs on the corners that we had to step over but it was better than hitting our shins. The bed room closet does not have a door and the blinds to the outside do not have a curtain. The bed room felt very basic and not very comfortable. The light pouring in from The hallway outside at night lit the entire room up all night. If I woke up in the middle of the night I thought it was daytime. Parking is not available On the main property. Parking is across the street where there are a few spots but if they are full then parking is in the garage behind that property- quite a walk when it's raining- I can say from experience. The website advertised a pool side tiki bar. There was an area for that but it was closed up and no evidence of plans to reopen. There is a sad looking restaurant on-site but was never very busy. Also if you ordered a drink there, you are not allowed to take it to the pool area or back to your condo. The condo does not have a washer or drier but there are 3 washers and 7 driers in the lobby area. A small load of wash is 1.50 and the drier can handle two wash loads for the same price. There is no daily room Service and if you book through the resort they will keep your towels replaced for you but you have to pack them up and bring them to the lobby. I felt weird standing in the reception area in line with People checking in and a hamper full of dirty towels. Overall, for the price we paid we were very happy with the product received. The visit was not a bad one and cheaper than many along the strip. I do believe that the resort made every effort to make this a great place- kudos to them. If this place is in the price range you are looking to spend then it's worth a stay. I do suggest you book through the resort to guarantee the best service. If you are accustomed to a staying at a newer, larger facility and paying close to twice as much for your stay, then do not expect this place to meet your expectations. It's perfect at the current price point but it's no Hilton.

Yelp
Absolutely love the resort. It's beautiful and affordable. It has all amenities and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again.

Christine M.

Yelp
If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. After driving 10 plus hours from NYC we arrive to a filthy and unsafe room. The door looked like it was kicked in. The floors were filthy, the beds were damp, the microwave was rotted, a used bikini liner stuck to the wall, hair everywhere etc the list goes on. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
google avatar

Jerrin H.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying the restaurant here is amazing and has a wonderful happy hour! We went through this as an airbnb and a lot of my complaint comes from her and her "several complexes here" and she didn't have time to help me figure out the door code. This isn't a direct reflection of the place but definitely was off putting since she apparently own roughly 25 rooms in this place. The pools were nice but definitely not the cleanest. The view of the ocean is great. The building is VERY loud and you can hear everyone around you breathe. Immediate parking is limited. We never really got that nice beach salt water smell, just smelled marijuana the entire time but honestly the whole area smelled like it, but this resort constantly reeked of it. It does have direct beach access. My main advice is to look somewhere else if going through airbnb or to book more direct through the resort because you will enjoy your stay better.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't. Do. It. Okay I started this review a year ago and am just getting around to finishing it. The fucked-up part is I can remember it so vividly--let's call it PTSD. This place is right on the beach, yes, but it's a dump. I wore flip flops in the shower. There was every kind of hair floating in the pool--actually there were hair BALLS. The sign outside said "lowest price in Myrtle." That should be the biggest red flag ever. I feel like a huge bitch doing this because my friend took me here for my birthday. But whatever, I'm a huge bitch then. Besides I think I paid you back by sitting through your amateur night strip club performance totally sober.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
The resort was clean, 5 swimming pools, lazy river, 3 hot tubs, and easy access to the beach. Security was on top of everything from watching the kids in the pools, informing everyone of bad weather coming, and helping with everything else. Everyone that works there were pleasant and helpful. Room 1201 was booked through VRBO and felt like home with an awesome beach view. Resort is located closely to the boardwalk, beach, stores, restaurants, and a short drive to broadway at the beach.

Yelp
I will NEVER stay at this resort again!!!! It was clean and the staff was nice. However, the in room dryer did not dry the clothes. It turned on and tumbled but no heat. Called the front desk and it NEVER got fixed! The temperature in the room was a constant 77 degrees despite what the A/C was set on. Finally the dishwasher ran for an entire day and never stopped washing the dishes! Stayed 2 nights and I'll never do it again. All of this on top of other guests setting off fireworks at 10 pm I have not slept in 2 nights!

Brooke W.

Yelp
Unit 402 - the owner lied about damaged items and tried charging for them after we left. However, she didn't notify us of any issues until it was PAST TIME for us to be able to review her property and you have to wait to be reviewed before you can review the property owner and it has to be within 14 days. Today is day 16 since we've been gone and she just now reviewed us. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Trying to get extra money by lying and saying people damaged towels and sheets when that did not happen at all. Renters BEWARE

Melissa L.

Yelp
I rented a room through Elliot Realty from Friday-Sunday for bike week. Check in was at 3 but unfortunately we werent able to get in our room until after 5pm. When we entered the room I noticed the beds werent made. Sheets where in the floor of the master bedroom, we had no wash clothes or towels, the fan over the table was so nasty I wouldnt cut it on because I didnt wont to eat dust, the livingroom nor kitchen had been cleaned, the place was horrible. I called Phillip at Elliot Realty and he seemed like it was a inconvenience for me to be calling him letting him know the room conditions. I asked him to contact housekeeping about wash cloths and towels but we never gotten any that night. We had to leave and go to a store to buy wash cloths and towels. I called again the next morning and they told me the work order had been put in for my room. So me and my group left and came back around 3pm and no one had been to clean the room or leave wash cloths or towels. When I called this time a lady answered the phone and said the work order had been completed which it hadnt, so I told her no one had been she told me she would call me back and she did about 10 minutes later and said the housekeepers where on their way. So when the house keepers got to our room it was a whole family with like a 5yr old girl with them. They were there all of 10 minutes didnt clean half of what was dirty but on the bright side they did leave us wash cloths and towels. The only thing I can say was nice was the view. If I had to rate the services I would only give them a 1 star and thats for the view.

Yelp
We did not stay in the resort area, we stayed in a unit owned by a realtor. This unit was needing a lot of TLC! As for the amenities, the pools were nice, the beach access was great, the resort staff was friendly. Downfalls: no sprinkler systems, restaurant was closed, outside bar area was closed and laundromat detergent dispenser was out of order. The laundromat in pool area was the nicest!

Yelp
We booked this condo number 1206 through homeaway.com. The website was a bit deceiving compared to what we actually got when we arrived. The owner of the condo was very helpful and had everything ready for us when we arrived. According to the description on the website this condo slept 6. It was a one bedroom with two full size beds and a queen size pull out couch the one downfall that we noticed right away was that the only entrance to this condo was in through the bedroom. There were two adults and two teenage girls staying here for a week, became very crowded with just the 4 of us. The kitchen and the deck in this condo were much smaller than it was made to appear online as well. Also, when looking online at this particular room it made it seem like the view from the balcony was directly in front of the ocean, but that was not the case. This was more of a corner angle so you saw most of the parking lot from this location. We did still have a nice view of the ocean, but it was just not what was expected from described online. The website also said the condo/resort had several swimming pools, hot tubs, a lazy river, a game room, a restaurant, and a bar. We immediately learned that the restaurant closed by 2 p.m. each day, the bar was never open, we searched and searched through the whole Resort for a game room for the girls to use, we were eventually told that there was no game room at all. After about 3 days we learned that there were actually two different buildings to this Resort, one across the street from the other when they advertise this Resort online it made the person renting under the assumption that everything was in one location but it was not. A few of the swimming pools, and The Lazy River were across the street at 1 Resort and most everything else was at a different Resort. We were fortunate that we had nice weather during our whole stay here or we would have been more disappointed, because with two teenage girls on a rainy day would have made for a long day with nothing for them to do on site. The main reason we rented this condo was because we were under the impression there was a game room, and several pools so that they would have options to choose from if it did rain, or we chose to stay in one evening. I would rent from this Resort again, I would just make sure that I ask more questions about a particular condo before going and renting. This location is within walking distance to almost everything on this end of the beach, which was nice.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This place was truly amazing perfect spot, clean, the staff is incredible. My little one got very sick the second day we were there. They offered to help in anyway they could. Two days before we were to leave we had A small problem in our room and they were quick to fix it and they ended up putting us in a cottage which we did not have to pay for so we could be comfortable with the baby and they offered a free night the next night. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I stayed at the blue water resort last weekend for the 1st time. The resort are condos with kitchen and separate seating area. The hotel in right on the beach and the ocean view rooms are a really good view. the resort offers a fire work show during the summer on Wednesdays and if your like me who love a good show this is the place for you. The cleaning staff does not come every day they kind of just let you live in and handle things on your own. if you need towels you can ask down stairs. they have something going on almost every night there and a on site restaurant that I never ate at. Overall the experience was Ok I've stayed at better locations so the rating is just Ok for me. Oh yeah the gym sucks I basically worked out on the beach
google avatar

Lucinda L.

Yelp
I visited the Blue Water Resort in 2012 and had a great time. The pools were clean. The rooms were serviced well and the heated pool was wonderful. I planned to retern in 2013. When I called for reservations this summer, I learned that the price of off season rooms had gone up from 55.00 a night to 134.00 a night. Well, ok. I really had loved the place, so I paid the amount- up front and rented the same room. BIG MISTAKE. Turns out, management had changed. I checked in to a bathroom of stained towels. And dirty washcloths tossed behind the bathroom door. When I called someone to pick them up and bring new linens, the staff wouldn't touch them unless I found a plastic bag to put them in. They weren't my dirty linens- I didn't want to touch them either- I just wanted then gone. STRIKE ONE. Then I went down to the heated pool I enjoyed so much. No heat turned on, even though it was advertised. STRIKE TWO. And the pools looked disgusting. Green mold growing up the edges. The hot tub looked like a breeding ground for algae. And this was an open house week for the resort- they had balloons all over the place because they were trying to sell condos. YUCK. But we soldiered through. Spending as much time as possible out of the room. Though they advertised that housekeeping would come every other day, they did not change the linens once. They did knock on the door once, when we were there. The housekeeper informed me that I needed to move everything off the bed before she could change the linens- everything consisting of a magazine, a book, a bag and my daughters back pack. I told her we would be out of the room in an hour, could she return? She didn't. Ever. Finally, the morning came for check out. I was certain that management would want to hear about these issues. So as I returned the pass, I asked to speak to the manager. As it happened she was sitting right there at the desk. I proceeded to tell her my story. She did not get up. She said she was sorry about my experience, but had no control over it. STRIKE THREE. There are too many wonderful options in Myrtle Beach to waste your time with this dump. Especially since they are clearly cutting costs in a major way. Did I mention that my daughter woke up with bug bites down her leg? Don't touch this place.

Belen G.

Yelp
We rented the condo from a owner on another site. The staff is very friendly and you see them cleaning as early as 7 am. The pools are very maintained and they have a "lazy river" across the street. ( don't expect a nice lazy river its basically a circle). There is security guards patrolling the area and making sure you wear the pool wrist bands. The doors lock at 11 and you need a access key to get in. There is parking out front but there is only 10 spots so you will probably have to go across the street to the garage to park and it always seemed to have spots. The condo had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, both were extremely uncomfortable and need updating. Condo had a nice small kitchen and a great view of the beach from the balcony. There is a small restaurant downstairs and the service is the worst part. There was one girl serving all the tables and she did not want to be there, luckily the manager/owner was helping her out and she was very nice. Its a little expensive for the quality of the food but its right downstairs so it was convenient. There is also a bar outfront next to the beach and they have great drinks. The "resort" itself gets 5/5, its close to the beach and has everything you need. The condo a 3/5 due to it needing updating. Overall it did meet our family needs and the price was good.

Yelp
Blue water resort was great! The room was clean when we got there and the staff was friendly. It had a great view of the ocean and the pools were clean. The hot tubs were very clean too. Our bed and couch were comfortable. The elevator was right across from our room. There was good wifi too. I liked the room and how it was decorated. Our only complaints are there was some roaches in the room, it smelled a little funky and the breakfast wasn't free. Other then that, it was great!

Yelp
This place is AWFUL! First I booked a room that claimed to sleep 6 with 5 people coming The room has 1 bed and one pullout couch! That's it! Well I was told they had to move some people around yesterday and that's likely why I'm in the room I'm in ! Ummm I paid to sleep 5! Then I looked for the lazy river that I saw ... it's at the hotel behind and is super tiny! There is a fake leather chair in my room that is peeling. There is a funky smell in the room ! The screen door does not slide AND the AC does not work in the living room area. Then my oceanfront room has an amazing view of a stucco wall. This room does not have an open balcony ! These are individually owned so some can be on the owner however they are managed by a company and the outdated and stink may be due to the owner however the wrong size room is the management !

Yelp
Just an update... Apparently it was our fault that the maid didn't clean the room. Word of warning, maid service is every other day, so either you bring your own towels or you have to wash their towels. They only give you enough towels for 1 night and there aren't enough for all guests. Again that's our fault?

Yelp
The owner of the condo from vrbo was very rude and told us what slobs the previous occupants were. He let us know as we were checking in he was putting bug traps up. Cockroaches, sirens going off outside and a run down dump.

Yelp
management should not rent units when there are jackhammers going from 9AM to 5PM. This happened on 12/28/2017 and 12/29/2017. The noise is too loud to sleep or even talk. As with most of these reviews, nothing will be done, but if someone reads this before booking a unit here they will avoid a bad experience.

Yelp
Bluewater resort is a Great place. However, there is a bar on the ocean side of the resort that always play's loud music. The music doesn't bother you until it goes all day long, and very late at night. The music is supposed to stop at 10pm on the week days, and 11pm on the weekends. They go at least a half hour later of their time. You are barely able to keep a conversation on your deck. You will call to complain, and they don't inforce the rules. They will tell explain to the bar about the complaint but never do a thing about it. I just recommend if you like a nice quiet resort, this isn't the place for you and you're family.

Yelp
I didn't want to give the place Any stars I checked in the place Thursday night Oct 15 2025 around 8:30pm and the office was closed no one was there to help me check in I had to call a number that was left on the door to get a code them get a key from a box and check myself in .Once I got to the room it was horrible the beds were old and not made the room had a bad smell I called the after hours # and was told it would take 2 hours for me to get the room cleaned and that they were unsure if they had any other rooms open. My room number was 816 I booked this room thru Festiva Travel /E Tour and Travel and they are the worst I will never use them again they are based out of Florida. I never even Sat down in the room I was on the phone finding a place to stay I am still waiting for a call back from the after hour emergency person for Festiva to return any of my calls.I would not recommend this place to anyone PLEASE Don't Stay at the Blue Water Resort in Myrtle Beach it's not a clean place

Yelp
First, let me start off by saying the realty company I booked through was less than helpful. They didn't even tell us what to do when we arrived at the resort and only gave us 1 access card. Secondly, when we arrived at the resort the lady I asked for help @ the front desk was overly rude. Once we were in the room, first impression wasn't bad... then we started paying attention to details. The comforters on the bed looked like someone had puked on them and the mattress covers were stained, ripped, and obviously old. The bathroom could've been cleaner along with the microwave. There was leftover food stuck to the dining table and a yellow glob of stuff on the wall in the bedroom. Once we were settled, the kids (11, 13, 15) were in love with the balcony. As they were coming in and out of the door, the cover to the air conditioner fell off. We were unable to fix this. The next day after we had gone to the grocery store, we noticed the refrigerator wasn't cooling... I had to call the realty company and they put in a work order. Thankfully, it was fixed within a couple hours. The balcony has no privacy and people were "doing the deed" in the pool 1 night. There was a man that committed suicide from the top of the building and the building is too loud. One morning maintenance was working on something and the noise could be heard all over the building. The people in the room next to us smoke and are super loud. Their kids scream in the hallway @ 8:30 in the morning and they are constantly slamming their door... it is so loud and there is no privacy! I will not stay in this resort again!

Yelp
Great & affordable family resort. Centrally located. On the beach with 3 pools, 2 SPA's, sauna, racquet court, etc. Restaurants & amusements within walking distance!

Yelp
I booked a different unit when I arrived I was told there was a maintenance issue in the unit I booked and was given 1002A instead. When I went to the unit it was filthy! I was greeted by greasy, dusty dresser tops, table tops and counters. The sheets and shower curtains in the master bedroom/ath were stained. After I complained they sent Charmaine to clean the room it took her 3 1/2 hours to clean the unit. The dirt collected when she swept was unbelievable. The master bedroom had one bed that sunk in the middle and the other was stained hard and flat. The table and chairs were old dirty and badly stained and the couch had definitely seen better days. The kitchen didn't have a pot big enough to boil spaghetti and no spatula just to name a few. The balcony furniture consisted of dirty white plastic chairs and two old wrought iron tables with peeling paint. The worse accommodations I have ever stayed in. I would never go back. I checked daily for another resort but it was mustang week and everything was booked. Don't waste your money.
