I miss the old Bluff View District! It's really gone downhill since Michael left. The new renovations to Rembrandt's leave it feeling cold and impersonal, just like any other coffee shop (if not for the patio, they would not have such a good business), and the menu has been severely limited. Back Inn closed and with it took a good restaurant, leaving only Tony's with its overcooked pasta and noisy, boring atmosphere. I miss the wine tastings; they were the best part of the Bluff. I've given it 2 stars only for the art; they do a fabulous job with the sculpture garden and other pieces scattered throughout the Bluff, and the Gallery is still very good. Except for the art, no real reason to go here anymore. I miss the old Bluff View District.

I was in Chattanooga for 3 days and I stopped by BVAD every day! Rembrandt Coffee is a great way to start the day with tasty food and coffee. Nice sculpture garden and great views of the TN River and Walnut St Bridge. This is only a 1.5 block, art district but it has a unique, European vibe. There is limited parking for free, 2 hours.

This is a lovely area with shops and cafés and an amazing sculpture garden. It's a great place to picnic or walk around with a cup of coffee and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings.

What a beautiful way to experience downtown Chattanooga! The art was interesting, eclectic, and well placed. easy to walk, but it is hard to find parking... be patient. It's worth it.

Google
Beautiful old world style place to walk, sightsee, eat, look at art, shop, have a coffee, see a beautiful river, catch a sunset (or sunrise), and stay a night, ...and the view of Chattanooga's bridges.. wow! The list goes on & on. One of my favorite places in Chattanooga. Whether you are a visitor or a local, ya gotta experience it. Lovely.

Google
We have enjoyed the Bluff View Art District for many years. Great food at four restaurants. The sculpture garden is free and really worth a quick walk. Also two art museums are adjacent. Parking can be limited at times

Google
Beautiful overlook and great area to be outside ans see sculptures and the river. A very active butterfly garden. Good things to eat like Tony's and Rembrandts. Nice for some fresh air and walking around.

Nice place to visit on a Sunday. I sort of wished there had been some artisans working there on a nice, beautiful day. Not the best accessability for wheel chairs.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place! The Bluff View Art District is located in a historic neighborhood of Chattanooga, TN, and is noted to be dedicated to the horticultural, visual, and culinary arts. We loved seeing the beautiful architecture of the older buildings, some of which had an old European feel. The old Bluff View Bakery building looked like something magical you may have seen cross the screen of a Harry Potter film. This district was a lovely way to spend an afternoon strolling around the downtown area with our small dog. It has restaurants, cafes, mezzanines, patios, beautiful winding paths, and views of the Tennessee River. This is a more relaxed area of downtown Chattanooga for sure. Depending on when you visit, parking can be limited and difficult to find. Free parking is offered for customers and can be found throughout the district on High St., East Second St. and Spring St. Parking is also available in the middle of the district between Rembrandt's Coffee House and Tony's Pasta Shop. Additional parking can be found at the southern end of the district behind the Bluff View Bakery. In all, visit the Bluff View Art District - you won't regret it!

Yelp
Wonderful view and vibe. Landscape is beautiful and kept tidy, and there is a well-lit path for late evening/early morning strolls. 5/5 recommend

Yelp
So lovely! Don't miss it. I think it's the best part of Chattanooga. Park the car and just wander. If you see water or the end of a street, just walk to it and you'll discover hidden art, sculptures, beautiful walkways, short staircases...you might even see bakers doing their magic in the pastry kitchen. Stop at Rembrandts coffee and sit/ relax under the trellis. Head over to the art museum area and see more sculptures there. Admire the architecture of 3 buildings of the museum. Keep walking and you'll head towards a pedestrian bridge. Keep going, explore and marvel!

Yelp
This is an area in downtown Chattanooga that has art, bed & breakfasts, and gardens. The city is made up of a microcosm of various compartmentalized zones. We took a pretty sweet walk here. We wanted to see what this particular area was all about. There is so much rich history in our city. There was not much going on, as most businesses are still closed in this part of the city. We did take a walk through their lovely gardens, of which I've attached pics. There were many fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and herbs proliferating a large area of space. Highly recommend not to come during the hottest part of the day in summer. We were there around 2pm on a steamy summer day. A beautiful area with more to explore at a later date.

Yelp
Small, but pleasant block with a coffee shop, 2 restaurants, nice art gallery, inn, and interesting outdoor sculpture garden. Near the Hunter Art Museum.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in the downtown Chattanooga area. Lots of great public art and art installations all in a nicky walkable area. Located partially on the Riverfront area, so much to see! Be sure to check out many of the cool shops, and restaurants along the way. Easily a nice afternoon or evening out in the town. Oh! Also great puppy watching too! Chattanoogains love their dogs!

Yelp
There are a 100 reasons to love Chattanooga. This location is at least 10 of them all by itself. So close to downtown yet just far enough away that an uninformed tourist would completely miss out on it. It requires a visit not just multiple times because of all it offers (art shops, coffee shop, fine dining, bakery, etc), but also because it should be experienced during the day, at night, and in multiple seasons. The outdoor art and seating, the views of the river, and feeling of a village within a major city all make this beautiful place to get away. You are right next to the Hunter Museum of Art as well. Oh, planning to visit soon? They have their own Bed & Breakfast. Yeah, it's just that amazing. So hurry and see it for yourself soon. *Insider's Tip -This is a good place to park for the Hunter Museum and Walking Bridge, as both are less than a 5 minute walk way. -Bike rentals are at the entrance of the District, in case you feel walking is too slow paced.

Yelp
Bluff View Art District sits atop a hill overlooking the Tennessee River. It is definitely scenic, with some cool businesses clustered in the same area. There is a central parking lot that connects all of the businesses. There are some art galleries, a sculpture garden, a few cafes/restaurants and the bakery. Each building is kind of a work of art in itself. The buildings all look very historic yet well kept. The architecture is interesting and unique for sure. Although it's a small area there's some great places to visit. It's only a few minutes drive from the aquarium and the central area of downtown. I would definitely come back as it seems to be a gem of Chattanooga!

Yelp
This is a great area for not only seeing art but also for walking, biking, and eating. In this area, you can see beautiful views of downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee River, and the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge. For your convenience, there is a parking lot near the Bluff View Bakery. I stopped in the bakery and bought a loaf of their delicious Cranberry Walnut Boule and was able to munch on it while I walked. Also in this area is a walking/biking path. Across the street from the bakery is the River Gallery Sculpture garden which is worth taking a stroll through. Just up the hill and around the corner is the Back Inn Cafe. Stop in and have dinner and enjoy views of the Tennessee River

Yelp
How absolutely gorgeous! I needed to kill an hour before going to Back Inn Cafe for an early dinner so I decided to walk around the area and see what I could see. My first stop was the beautiful sculpture garden near the river and I strolled to each one and studied them. I next went over to the Bluff View Overlook over the river where there's a plaque telling the history of Chattanooga Island and how there used to be a pulley system between the mainland and the Island. I didn't go into the museums, art gallery, or the other shops but just checking out the outdoor art was enough for me to take in, like a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Everyone should go check it out.

Yelp
Not much here to see at all... drove around it and not much to do so just drove past it, didn't get out of car. I guess it has nice views of the bridges and water.

Yelp
This is kind of a Arts and Entertainment category I think. It is mostly outside where you have a sculpture garden, a paved walking trail with outdoor art, Bluff View Inn which is a bed a breakfast and a River Gallery. Down the trail, which goes through it, you can walk your dog or go jogging. Bluff View art district. It is sort of a beautiful small spot not including the walking trail.

Yelp
Such a beautiful area with artwork, a sculpture garden, restaurants, coffee house, amazing views of the river and so much more. It's right near the Hunter Museum as well, lending to that artistic feel. There is a bocce ball court, the most beautiful one I've ever seen. The whole area has a European feel to it. It's sort of hidden, but yet, right in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. There are so many things to explore and discover there. It really is a jewel in the crown of downtown. Not to be missed.

Yelp
What a charming, weird, surprising, TINY art district. As far as I can tell, there's only one way in and out (easy to pass right by it), and everything in it is charming: 2 museums, an outdoor sculpture garden, a coffee shop, a bakery, and Italian restaurant, an art gallery, etc. It is TINY, but it's worth exploring! A very unique place in the heart of Chattanooga!

Yelp
It's not just an art district, it's a beautiful art district. The bluff is such a beautiful area for art! I love that the family that owns this area puts such an emphasis on art, not just in the gardens, but in the square, the watery and alleys as well. I absolutely love everything about this area!

Yelp
This is the most charming and relaxing part of the city. It's like checking out of this world and into a soothing dimension. It's a corner of the city filled just filled with galleries, sculptures, interesting dining, and even more interesting people. I always leave this area feeling like I've just had hours of therapy, a brain massage or have just soaked in a mental spa. It's my favorite place to just get some fresh air and exercise.

Yelp
One of my favorite parts of Chattanooga. Wonderful art and sculpture all along your walk, as well as wonderful art galleries, high quality eateries, museums and coffee shops. When I first met my fiancée our first date was spent perusing this area (his first time seeing it, but definitely not mine) and I have to say, this is THE. PRIME. SPOT. for dates, whether it's first time butterflies or a long term comfortable relationship, there's just something very romantic and scenic about this area. I highly recommend and hope to make the journey back home soon for a weekend of shopping for art in this district soon.

Yelp
Wonderful free parking on the side street if you want to walk on the Riverwalk. Love having a coffee at Rembrandt's afterward.

Yelp
Very cool little area. Plenty of parking! Great view of the river, cool statues in the garden.
