This place is like a giant BMW 4S store, which covers almost all the latest BMW vehicles, including Rolls-Royce and Mini, and you don't need to spend any money to enter this place. It's completely free. There are free game machines inside to experience. There are food and drinks. It's a good place to hang out, just like a shopping mall.

BMW Welt is a futuristic showroom of various vintage, regular and futuristic cars of BMW, Rolls Royce and Mini Cooper. The hall is filled with car information, rally cars, old vintage cars. There was a futuristic cafe inside where a robot will prepare and bring your preferred coffee and snacks. There is also a Bikers lounge on the first floor along with a cafe. There is a nice souvenir shop inside as well. The Welt is free to visit and easily accessible from the UBahn Olympiazentrum.

BMW Welt is an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in cars, design, or innovative architecture. The building itself is stunning — futuristic, sleek, and full of energy. Inside, the experience is just as impressive. You can get up close with the latest BMW models, including MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles, and there are interactive exhibits that explain the brand’s technology and vision for the future.

Google
Amazing place. BMWs are amazing cars and this place really does them justice. It was busy when I went, but I did go at lunchtime. But still very enjoyable. So much time and thought has gone into the displays. I really do recommend a visit!

Yelp
BMW World is located next to Olympic Park and and is a multi-story exhibition, delivery, adventure museum, and event venue. On my summer trip to Munich I stopped by in the evening as they are open late till midnight. On display they have the latest innovations in BMW cars, bikes, and SUVs. Also on display were Mini Coopers and Rolls Royce. I had no idea Rolls Royce had an EV, it sure is beautiful, but at over $450,000, way over my budget. :P Overall, this is a fun place to check out some really cool vehicles. And the best part is that it's completely FREE! It's conveniently located next to the subway station exit for Olympic Park.

Yelp
We stopped here to queue up for the BMW factory tour. The Welt is a multi-functioning customer experience space for car buyers, car/BMW aficionados and general tourists. They have different sections including cars from BMW (of course), but also other divisions such as Mini and Rolls Royce. Within the BMW brand, they have an excellent motorcycle display of recent model bikes that able to be sat on and interested with. They also had a concept section and a "M" (Motorsport) section as well. MUST SEE if you are even a small car enthusiast.

Yelp
Impressive stop to spend at least a half hour (and very likely more than that if you want to look closely at the cars). There are several cars on display here including BMWs, Rolls Royce, and Mini Coopers. There's also a cafe, free restrooms, Lego experience, shopping, and a museum. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Greg O.

Yelp
Nice if you like seeing the current models of BMW and Mini cars. Also has clean, and more importantly when traveling in Europe, free restrooms.

Yelp
I am not into cars at all, but BMW World is really cool and worth a visit if you're in Munich. It is free to enter, and there are lots of luxury cars on display. There is a cafe and gift shop inside. I didn't go to the BMW Museum, which you have to pay for, and I thought this place was great for someone who has no interest in cars like me just to look around and admire fancy cars.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
This is a free exhibit to see all the latest cars. They also have a few different interactive things to do. One is a video that you can put your face to while the other is 180 camera of you. There are locations to grab food as well. This is directly across from the BMW museum. When you exit the museum you can walk across the walkway.

Yelp
Despite the PCR routine during the pandemic, I had a great experience here while most of my questions were answered by the guy who has curly hair and speaks in traditional Mandarine. If you're a fan of BMW, you definitely have to come here for the newest and coolest models. during your trip in Munich. He did not only answer my question but explained more tech issues that were related to my questions. However, the reason I took one start off was because there was no one I could ask any questions during my first half hour tour.
google avatar

Marlon T.

Yelp
If you're a BMW fan, this spot is a must for you! Check out their hottest cars and gift shop to show your love of the brand. Please note the BMW Welt is pretty much a museum that showcases new new car concepts in a sleekly designed building. They also have some MINI Cooper displays. If you have time, it's a no-brainer to check this place out since it's free entrance! We actually didn't even go to the real museum since we thought this was cool enough and just wanted to get back to downtown Munich. It would've been awesome to go on the factory tour, but I think it's only open on weekdays and we were there on a weekend. Next time! I like how you can buy a BMW, it gets delivered it to the middle BMW Welt on a platform you must take an elevator to, then you can drive it out of the actual building.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an interesting approach to a dealership floor room. It's more like an open air exhibit that also has a cafe and slide. Highly recommend especially if you are in the market for a car. You are able to hop into some of the cars and it will allow you to see the models upfront and in person.......to include Rolls and Mini Coopers.
google avatar

Yelp
When I was here in 2012, I would have given this place 5 stars. Back then you could sit in all of the cars and motorcycles and they had shows with stunt drivers who rode the dirt bikes up and down the stairs. Now, most of the cars are locked and they stopped the stunt shows in 2016. On the positive side, they still have a reasonably-priced cafe and free WiFi. They are right next to the Olympia Zentrum U-Bahn station so it isn't out of the way if you go to visit the Olympic grounds and the memorial to the Israeli athletes who were killed there.
google avatar

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this was the coolest car dealership ever. --- --- --- After visiting the BMW museum, we were told that the Welt was still open for a few more hours. I mean, anytime a car dealership is open until midnight, that's pretty cool in itself, right? Much like the museum, the best part about the Welt is the amazing architecture of the building and the displays. The cars are all surrounded by really cool lighting that makes for an auto photographer's dream. Is car porn a thing? This is nothing like a typical dealership in the U.S. where the second you step foot on the property, you're hit up by an over-anxious sales person. I think they are used to people walking over from the museum who have no intention of purchasing a BMW. As a matter of fact, the only time someone spoke to us when we wanted to use the picture-taking machine they have setup by one of the really nice cars. Definitely worth the walk across the street once you're done with the museum - there are multiple cafes here too, in case starring at six figure cars all day works up your appetite.

Yelp
Being a big fan of BMW this was a treat to see. The massive, gorgeous, classy Welt displayed dozens of current and historic BMWs and BMW Motorrad bikes. Coffee shops, restaurants, gift shop, information and demonstrations on everything BMW! Experience the cool Double Cone building with a race car display, see the BMW i Electric evolution cars, and all the M sports cars anyone could salivate over! We missed the last factory tour of the day on our trip here, but enjoyed walking around the Welt, the outlying buildings and the BMW Museum. This is a MUST for any German car fan and BMW owner! So much fun, so much information, and so down-right cool for a car guy like me! Finally getting to Munich and the Welt was a bucket list item checked off!

Yelp
BMW Fans need to make this pilgrimage. It's part of the European delivery option but if you are in Munich, swing by and check out this and the BMW Museum. It's a super cool building with food and drink, small exhibitions, and of course BMW swag. They are building something new so pay attention in late fall 2019 I think. I would give it more than 4 stars but a couple things were not working when went. Like the driving simulator rig by the i cars. Still super cool. Especially at night.
google avatar

Tammy E.

Yelp
Really cool museum/car dealership space in a beautifully designed building. I have family friends who have purchased cars from here to drive around Europe before shipping the car overseas. This is a way for people to basically make an excuse to come to Germany, drive at break-neck speeds on the Audubon with their beautiful fast new car, and then get a huge discount on their purchase compared to purchasing one stateside. Their rollout schedule for vehicles is not unlike that of Tesla in California. People have scheduled appointments every hour or so to meet with a sales representative who teaches them all about the bells and whistles of the car before sending them off to explore. As for the rest of the museum, you can see BMW's role in aviation throughout history, as well as view their current motorcycles, sports cars, and sedans (many of which you won't find in the US). Like any dealership you are allowed to sit on/in any of these autos and enjoy photographs with them. In the gift shop they have neat odds and ends you can pick up for gifts for family and friends. All in all it is definitely something cool to check out and free! If you want to rent one of their super fast cars you can do that, too, for an hourly fee.

Yelp
As a former BMW owner and a fan of the brand I wanted to check this out while visiting Munich. According to TripAdvisor, BMW Welt (World) is better and cheaper than the BMW museum across the street. The building is architecturally interesting and looks cool. I was pleasantly surprised by BMW Welt. Yes, much of it is a showroom for BMWs, but I still enjoyed it, but don't just take my word for it. My wife, who is not into cars at all, even enjoyed herself here. I thought I would need to limit my visit to 30 minutes since this wasn't really her thing, but it turned out we were able to stay a lot longer. I liked seeing the cars. They had almost every model there for you to see and you could get in anything 5 series or smaller. Pretty cool! We both liked seeing the samples of different paint colors and interior decorations like wood or carbon fiber. I really liked seeing the i8, which looked extremely futuristic. My wife was especially impressed with the Rolls Royce exhibit. It was cool seeing the attention they pay to the smallest details. They had a similar exhibit on Mini Coopers. They had a good gift shop; I liked how you could actually buy things there without having to pay an arm and a leg. I got a shirt for €20 and a nice pen for €3-4. Much less than anything I ever bought from my local BMW dealer back home. This is all I saw of BMW World. There is a cafe where my wife had a snack while I looked around. You can also get a tour of the BMW plant which lasts around 2 hours. I didn't have time to do this, but will have to check it out if I make it here again. There are upper levels of BMW Welt that I didn't visit, but I think you can see BMW motorcycles up there. I'm not sure about this but I think you may also be able to arrange for a test drive of a BMW. So it's a cool place with lots to see and do and I would definitely recommend it if you are at all into cars.
google avatar

Katharine S.

Yelp
My favorite part of the BMW showroom was the Biker's Lounge (Lodge?). About fifteen contemporary motorcycles are displayed, and people are encouraged to pretend ride them. Perfect for anyone who has little interest in actually driving or riding on a motorcycle but who thinks the idea of doing so is fun! The cafe has a wide selection of bottled beverages and places to sit. Perfect for people who are thirsty after touring the museum and take a moment to plan the next excursion. It was neat to see all the Minis one can buy. I had no idea that the Mini Cooper was not the only model available. The AWD off-roady version that is both mini and not mini was comical to see.
google avatar

Lori N.

Yelp
So much fun! It's free to enter, there's lots to see, and if you're lucky you'll get a chance to ride in one of the cars! It opens until midnight so you have all day to chose a time to visit. BMW Welt is very close to the Olympic park, so if you're coming all the way out to this side of town, there's plenty to do besides BMW stuff. And the metro stop is the same for one of the Olympic park stops, so it's super convenient! We came here on a German holiday so it was very crowded, but the space was so large it didn't seem so bad. They had lots of BMW cars (old and new) that you could observe and some of them you can even sit inside. There was also a nice collection of Rolls Royces and Mini Coopers, also owned by BMW. The building itself is gorgeous and all the displays are beautifully done. Great lights, pictures, music. Whoever curated this place did an awesome job. If you care for a souvenir, there's a nice gift shop as well. I also liked that there was a cafe and clean restroom upstairs! Now my favorite part was getting a ride in the 1958 BMW Isetta! This tiny little 2 person car with a rear engine that opens from the front was my favorite car here. It's the cutest thing I had ever seen, I instantly fell in love with it. But at some point in the early afternoon we saw an employee driving it outside, so we followed and found out that they were offering free rides around the building in it! We just had to sign up to be contacted by our local BMW dealership to offer us car specials. No big deal, you can unsubscribe later. But we got a free 45 second spin around the block and it was totally awesome. The employee said they demo different cars on different days and at different times. So who knows, you may get lucky and get to ride in something cool, like this Isetta!

Yelp
If you love cars or not. This place is a must visit. Probably the best auto showroom I've been to. They even rent out performance BMW vehicles. And they have great food options too.
google avatar

Jacques D.

Yelp
We are staying by the Hauptbahnhof in München so we took the train to BMW Welt. Several months ago we made reservations for the full 2-hour tour of the BMW factory so we picked up our tickets at the ticket desk (located in the center of the bottom floor next to the café) and took the tour. It is an amazing tour but make sure to call ahead at least 4 weeks. The BMW Welt itself is a work of art. The structure is meant to look like the clouds from the outside, and inside it is modern and spacious. The cars are gorgeous, and many of them you can sit inside. And don't miss the gift shop. There are BMW items that can only be purchased there.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
This is pretty cool. Especially for the most part being free. I was intending on seeing and paying for the museum however, was very satisfied with what I've seen. This is pretty much an awesome car dealership. Allowing you to interact with things, games and give you the specifications you'd need or want to know. They offer lockers to stow your bag for free and have a small cafe. The restaurants were closed off for some reason. One sign saying it was only for a private circle. All and all a fun experience and I'd recommend it. Especially if you'd like to see the museum.
google avatar

Lucy W. H.

Yelp
Very crowded but fun. The architecture is stunning. Cars are beautiful. Warning, you will want to buy one. Arrived too late to test drive but some lucky drivers went round and round, spinning their wheels fast. That would give me a headache. Grabbed a panini and some mineral water to pick me up on a very hot day.
google avatar

Correy H.

Yelp
If you are a car-nut, no trip to Munich is complete without a visit to BMW Welt (World). Even if you don't want to spend the extra money for the museum or plant tour, you will definitely get your fill of German engineering by just sticking around the Welt. They pretty much have most of the most popular BMWs, plus Mini and Rolls Royce.
google avatar

Cathy C.

Yelp
This is the showroom part of the BMW complex. The newest models of the ultimate driving machine are here. There's an electric car you can test drive around the first floor. In the complex are the factory and the museum. There's a small portion for Mini and motorcycles. The top floor is a driving track where you can test drive your future purchase. So cool! Like I need more reason to love BMW. It has been the most reliable car I've ever owned and I plan on keeping it til it stops moving. So, a visit here was a must. They have models we don't have in the US. It's German car heaven! They have restaurants here and merchandise stores. They have bathrooms downstairs and there was a guy in the women's restroom that shocked the heck out of me - and he proceeded to use his cellphone. A guy in the women's restroom using a cellphone! Hello? They have free wifi.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Just like counterpart, BMW Museum, the BMW Welt has lots of things to see including the latest and greatest cars from BMW, and Rolls Royce. There's a gift shop and three cafés/restaurants in house. Best of all there's free Wi-Fi. If you're taking the tour, the meeting location is behind the information desk. If you're checking in to pick up your BMW, there's a VIP elevator that will take you to the top. If you go upstairs and take the bridge, you can go to the museum. It's best to visit the museum before the tour, as a tour is 2 1/4 hours long. If you parked downstairs, you can get your ticket validated if you eat at the restaurants.
google avatar

Burj S.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! That's all I have to say about this place! The main showroom is a piece of art in by itself'! The new concept and electric cars once they come to the States are going to be a very hard act to follow, just wish I had more time here but 45 mins is just not enough as we are with a tour group! Will definitely be back some day!
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
A huge showroom which has the full lineups of BMW cars and motorcycles, Mini, and Rolls Royce. This is where you take delivery if you participate in the BMW European Delivery program. Tip: Across the street is the BMW factory. Make sure you go online and check your hours as they are limited and may require pre-booking.
google avatar

Tony C.

Yelp
Wow, if you're a BMW owner/fan, then you must not miss this place. It's a must! Even if you're not buying a car, this is an awesome place to check out. You can look at all of the current models on display and check out the specs and pricing. This review is going to be based on a service that I used which is called BMW on Demand. What is that that you may ask? Well, it is just like it sounds. You can rent a BMW on demand for an hourly rate! Sounds too good to be true? Yes, it is true! We rented out an M3 competition package for a special daily rate of 3 hours pricing(€50/hour) for 5 hours. This is my favorite part of my vacation in Europe because me and a friend took the M3 out to Ammersee, which is a beautiful lake in the countryside to escape the crazy hustle and bustle of Munich(along with getting to run the car at some interesting speeds ;)). If you've always wanted to drive the Roundel in the Motherland for a reasonable rate, then you must not miss this place. No other way to do Munich IMO. Freude am Fahren!!
google avatar

Yelp
Cool cars and free admission. Not a lot of taxis around, we took Uber to and from the city center. There's a pedestrian bridge to the BMW museum across the street.

Yelp
I'm not usually enthusiastic about tours, as I feel like they're very hit or miss, depending on the guide, but boy, the BMW Welt tour guide was one of the best I've ever had! I can't recall his name, but it was something pretty German, and the amount of knowledge this guy possessed and his patience with our group of about 12 not exactly mature guys was amazing. We met him at the meeting point towards the front, were handed the audio systems, and off we went. He gave us the spiel about the history and design of the building, which is absolutely gorgeous, I must say! The fact that it's a sustainable building designed to keep heat in when needed, and expel hot air when necessary was mind-blowing. Now what really put the tour over the top was the fact we asked some not very common questions that were pretty difficult to answer, mainly about the construction of the Welt. How our guide responded after a few of these questions was so memorable, it was something along the lines of, "These are all very interesting questions, however, I'm just not able to answer them as I'm not the architect and I can only offer my own educated guesses. To get the answers would require you to ask the creator., which I am not." O_O All of our minds were blown by this answer because it just made so much damn sense (and kind of sounded straight out of The Matrix)! We then encouraged him to give his educated guesses, as this dude was just whip smart. Our guide also brought us up to the conference/events area with a beautiful outdoor deck, which he said he normally doesn't show, but since we were so interested in the design, he brought us up! I can't recommend this tour enough, especially coming from the boring BMW Museum tour!

Yelp
Free to enter and a bridge in here connects you to the BMW museum. This is the marketing hub of BMW in my opinion and all the latest BMW gear is on display. If you are a BMW, RR or Mini fan you will enjoy your visit here.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place to come to check out and test drive the latest car models. Customer services are exceptional. You can try out BMW, Mini, and Roll Royce cars.

Yelp
Did European Delivery on a 2015 M3 back in May, and the entire staff provided top-notch service for an awesome experience. Aside from delivery, this is literally one huge BMW Group marketing display, so you see everything from Minis, RRs, and BMWs (obviously). Pretty interesting to see all brands under one roof. The Premium Lounge on the 3rd floor is also pretty nice with refreshments and chairs to rest in between factory tours or before vehicle delivery. Would definitely come back here again when time comes to do another European Delivery.

Yelp
We parked underground! Right next to the Olympic Park and right off the main roads, it's ideal and affordable. As im not a car aficionado, it mattered not to me where we were, but my daughter actually dragged us around inside. We looked at all the cars, new and old, admired the structure inside. We had a blast. We didn't go all the way up but spent about an hour on the main floor. There are restrooms and a cafe in case it's hot outside and you need a break. It's a great location to walk around and admire!
google avatar

Margaret S.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I'm not a car person. I drive a Honda Fit everyday. However, even I walked away from this building both impressed .... and wanting to order a BMW on the spot. I especially enjoyed the Rolls Royce area, including the ceiling display (make sure to see the back of the display!). My husband and I spent about 90 minutes here, including the gift shop area. I wasn't feeling too well so I went to the small café for a quick drink. About 5 minutes after sitting down I realized I was missing about €45 in change. I went to the cashier and he already had it waiting for me. I could not believe his honesty and professionalism. Overall, a fun stop on the way out of München.

Yelp
Ok - I am admittedly a huge fan of BMW across the board. I loved them when they were in F1, and their DTM series is a lot of fun to watch. I also love their motorcycles as well as their cars, and am currently on my 5th "Bimmer". Some people cherish a trip to Legoland, but I would not consider a trip to München complete without stopping in at BMW Welt, especially as a pickup customer. Yup - I did a European Delivery again. I first tried this out in 2009, when I was utterly burned out and wanted to spend a couple of weeks blasting around on the Autobahn with my new 5-series. That turned out to be so amazing, that I decided to do it all over again for my new 6-series convertible, and knew that I had to have at least a month on the roads this time. The European Delivery program is a brilliant marketing ploy of BMW's - you get to spend a day touring the factory, visiting the museum, get a bite to eat in the exclusive customer-only lounge, and then get a red-carpet vehicle delivery experience right in the center of the BMW Welt where your car is rotating on a turntable like you're at an auto show while random tourists take pictures of you because you and your car are the star attraction. Oh - and you also get a fantastic discount on the car if you do European Delivery. Before getting to the customer area, I decided to wander around and see what was new. BMW have done a fantastic job of separating the brands under one roof so that each has its spotlight but doesn't encroach on the others. Rolls Royce stands brilliantly aloof and subtly lit while Mini has lots of cool little swag around each of the cars on display. BMW Motorrad overlooks everything across 2 eyries connected by a walkway over the main car display area. Pride of place though belongs to BMW vehicles down below. The electric i3 & i8 have their own area, the 7 series is prominently placed right by the front doors, and all the other models can easily be found with a little bit of walking, and there is much more detail than any dealership can spare the room for around the BMW Individual paints, leather options, and how unique you can make your vehicle. Oh - and be careful walking around, as BMW give rides in their mint-condition 1950s Isetta around the main hallway of the BMW Welt. The Isetta is unique - tiny, noisy, and just incredibly cute. Getting upstairs at my appointed time, I was quickly ushered through to my delivery coordinator. She sorted out my paperwork, got my insurance and drop-off information signed, and made sure that I understood how highway signs and laws worked in each of the countries I intended to traverse. I was then handed over to Alexandra, who would be introducing me to my new car. If you can, take the staircase down from the customer lounge to your vehicle, as at the landing you will see your new baby sitting right in front of you like it's the Auto Show at the Javits. Alexandra was great, running through all of my questions and showing me what was different on the 6 from the 5, and was quick to ask for help on the few occasions I stumped her with a question. After everything was done, she let me pull a "victory lap" around the mezzanine of the BMW Welt, where I rejoiced in letting the exhaust startle everyone in earshot. 2 important things to note if you're picking up. 1) BMW used to have a professional photographer to take your picture next to your new car. No longer, so be sure you have a camera or good camera phone if you want a little memory of this. 2) If you have another BMW, you can export your music and seat preferences onto a USB stick and your new car will have all your old comfortable settings in seconds. Of course, no visit here is complete without the exit through the gift shop. Any sort of paraphernalia that you could possibly want branded with the BMW or Mini logo (Rollers seem to be a bit more discreet) is for sale. You can even get the photo that you took picking up your new car laser-etched into a picture frame for posterity. In short, BMW Welt is a great way to spend the day as a "petrol head" together with a visit to the BMW Museum. If you're picking up a new car though, there is no better experience than coming to the BMW Welt as a customer. Freude am Fahren - found here.

Yelp
If you've never done a European delivery, this needs to go on your bucket list. You are given your specific appointment time. This is when you check in and get seated at a fabulous area with food and beverages and a view of the entire showroom. Once in a while you will see a spotlight on a car spinning around. The wait is so much like Christmas. You are given a tour of the museum and see exactly how each BMW is made. This experience lasts the entire day. You have your own representative to assist you with all your wants and needs. Eventually the spotlight goes on and you see your car spinning below you. It is the most beautiful thing to see the car you ordered spinning under the spotlight. You know you will be driving it on the autobahn soon. Today, you must learn everything about that shining new object. The autobahn must wait. This was my Christmas!

Yelp
Basically - this is a giant showroom. It's a gigantic building, lots of different versions of vehicles. A separate section for the high rollers picking up their cars The gift shop has everything and anything with a bwm or mini logo on it! You take the tour from this location - we didn't get to go on ours because the factory had issues. :(

Yelp
This was a really cool show room! From the outside, looking at the seer size of this building made me really excited to go inside. Being a Benz fan myself (sorry!) I was still very interested in seeing the new models that BMW is working on. Unfortunately we didn't plan this out well so we weren't able to get a tour of the Welt, Museum or Factory but you can look it up here (http://www.bmw-welt.com/en/visitor_information/guided_tours/welt.html). Note - free entrance here but it costs money for the museum (although plus side, museum has free wifi.)

Yelp
Great place for auto enthusiasts. The facilities are immaculate, set up in an easy to follow and chronological flow, and there's a cafe on site. I prefer the museum itself to the "experience" side of BMW world. The experience side has interactive displays but not enough polite tourists managing their time well when using. The museum can be information overload so don't expect to take in everything, but do walk through all the areas to absorb what you may not have know about BMW (aero engine makers for WWII, Mini Coopers in the family, etc.). Entry for BMW Welt (Experience) - None Entry for BMV Museum - about ten euros Check out: Cafe, secret pool down chairs throughout exhibits (hidden in walls and marked with a small icon), gift shop

Yelp
Pretty cool place; architecture is definitely unique. I didn't really read anything or interact with any of the exhibits, I just basically walked through. It's free to visit and check out their cars and such. Interesting and different from places you'd probably normally visit, so it's worth it to come check it out!

Yelp
Loved this place. You can customize your own BMW. They have Mini Coppers and Rolls Royce too. Free of charge and the architecture of the building is amazing. I saw a few people test driving cars which you can do inside the building. We sat on motorcycles and even played some video games. You can sit inside some of the cars here not to include the Rolls Royce.

Yelp
A fun place to spend an afternoon! It's a large showroom but there's so many other things like a race simulator, and bike show room on the top floor. Roll's Royce, Mini Cooper, and BMW everywhere. You can also take factory tours as well. This place was more fun than the BMW museum across the street. There are also people test driving the cars on the top floor as well as the ground floor outside.

Yelp
Really cool museum / BMW showroom in Munich with great exhibitions. We visited here on a very wet day in Munich. They're currently celebrating 40 years of the 3 series (1975 - 2015) and is well worth a visit this year to see that collection. I fell in love with a 1955 Isetta - just fabulous. Easy to get to on the ubahn (take the u3 to Olympiazentrum)

Yelp
Welt is pretty much one stop for everything BMW and Mini. The building is sleek and modern, but interior wise it is pretty much a fancied up BMW dealership with all the bells and whistles and than some. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, since they don't charge admission to visit this flagship dealership, where you can rent a BMW, either classic or the latest,; pick up your BMW here via European Delivery; watch someone do some basic stunt motorcycle riding; or even grab a meal. Now the coolest thing about Welt is their location, which is right across from BMW's headquarters, and their main production factory in Munich. This is your starting point for the guided factory production tour, which takes you through the production plant from start to finish. The tours are offered in English and in German and only during the weekdays. I would advise that you call ahead by phone to arrange the tour, which they won't do by email. The cost when I went it was about 8 Euro per person, which is pretty reasonable, since you get a 2.5 hour tour of the plant and you get to see a lot of things. The guide we had was really good and was able to give us a good background on how BMW manages their plant and what they do with their waste materials. We thought it was well worth the price of admission.

Yelp
A must see in Munich. Not expensive and you get to see lots of BMWs old and brand new.

Yelp
The BMW welt is a must see when you visit Munich, you can sit in any of the newest release cars for BMW, Mini, and Rolls Royce. It's a great place to visit with kids and it's free, you can look at not just cars but the motorcycle line as well, gift shop is large and has a very good selection of BMW/Mini products.

Yelp
This place really isn't anything more than a showroom for BMW's and Mini's, but it's still pretty cool. You can get in or on virtually all the vehicles so you can feel what it'd be like to drive them. They have a ton of motorcycles too so those were fun to play around on. The building is impressive and it was fun to spend an hour there. Take the Olympiapark stop on the train and take a nice walk through the park afterward.

Yelp
The BMW Factory Tour was among our more interesting German adventures. The factory here (accessed from BMW Welt) produces over 900 3-series vehicles every day... starting with plain rolls of steel and resulting in a performance car some hours later. On the factory tour, you get to see walk through all three of the main elements of building a car: the press, where steel is punched and welded to make the body, the paint shop, where said body gets something like 7 coats of paint and the assembly, where said painted body meets its motor, windshield, seats, etc. The tour took a bit over two hours and includes quite a bit of walking. My three boys really enjoyed it and are still talking about all the robots, though the younger two boys were pretty wiped out trying to keep up with our fast-walking tour-guide and the rest of the mostly-adult tour group. (Note: the website says only kids 7+ can go on the tour, but in person they let our 4 and 6 year olds go so long as we understood that there was a lot of walking, no bathrooms and no easy way to quit mid-tour.) I'd suggest making a reservation at least a couple weeks in advance if you're coming from abroad. We were able to get in with only 3 day's notice, but that was an 8am tour and even that was lucky.
