The stay at bnb 122 was ultimately nice. It felt very cozy and home-like. The room was exactly as described, small but very near and tidy! The host was very caring and attentive. And the breakfast was amazing. I even got vegan options without having asked for it beforehand! Definitely recommended!

Dea has created a beautiful and characterful place to stay. The rooms are simple, but charming, and the garden is amazing! I was so impressed by the delicious and varied breakfasts provided each morning. I highly recommend staying here!

I stayed for a couple of nights in late March (spontaneous bikepacking trip), value for money at this time was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the fantastic copious breakfast, sat in the sun in the gardens (even at soon after 8am at this time of year !), with a perfectly unobstructed view of virtually the whole lake. Dea is very welcoming and accommodating and I really felt at home here. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being a couple of kms from the restaurants etc, but appreciates great views and great value for money.

The biggest asset of this place is of course its magnificent location: built against the mountain you have a superb view on Lago Maggiore from the upper terrace. The room was small and simple, but clean and comfortable. The kitchen and living room are shared by the owner, and provides to all your needs (as long as you don't expect big luxury). Make yourself a wonderful breakfast, take it outside on the terrace and enjoy the view!

We really enjoyed our stay at BNB122. It's location is decent and it has a lovely homely atmosphere. Dea (the owner) was incredibly helpful and really went out of her way to help us and make us feel welcome. You can use the kitchen and other facilities too (which we found handy as Switzerland is so expensive!). She gave us ideas for our stay, restaurant recommendations and even set us up with free bus passes which were really helpful. The view from the hammocks at the top of the garden is truly magnificent.||||If we had one criticism it's that you have to park about a 10 minute walk away up a hill and you have to walk along a very busy coastal road to get there. It's not a major inconvenience though.||||This place certainly is quirky and full of character. A great base to explore the Swiss part of Lake Maggiore.

We felt so lucky to be here and experience a little slice of life in Ascona. Dea, our host, was unbelievably kind and so thoughtful in creating a home away from home. The place is spotless and filled with loving touches that show a well-travelled life full of color, history, and connectedness. Our room was sprawling and comfortable, and Dea suggested and amazing 1/2 hour drive to Lavertezzo that will blow your mind, and an intimate grotto for dinner that was such a memorable experience. Dea is so flexible in that you can have breakfast whenever you want and you have the use of common spaces with sweet little touches like a vintage fridge stocked with wine, beer and water (with an honesty jar to support supply), and a bowl full of nail polish at the cocktail table (painted toes at the beach!). Just so thoughtful! Please note that it is located on a busy little stretch of coastal road. That's why the location is wonderful and your views over wine or breakfast are superb. But you will hear the cars. Dea was nice enough to supply really good earplugs (again, so thoughtful!) and I definitely needed them. I'm guessing that our room (fronting the house) got the majority of this sound, and that this isn't such a big issue in other rooms, so if you are concerned about it, I'm certain if you let her know this when booking Dea will advise. We felt so lucky to be here and we cannot thank Dea enough! Wonderful!

The special way in which this bnb is run, offers guests the possibility to share the living space and use the kitchen if they want. The owner, a lady called Dea, is doing her best to accommodate guests in her house. This means you have to put up with her and other guests. Breakfast is to help yourself from the kitchen. I had a simple but cosy small room in the back of the house with a separate entrance and a bathroom to share with people staying in the room next door. The price is ok given the fact that you are in Switzerland. The view from the terrace on the lake Maggiore is great, especially when the sun is shining. However there is also traffic right in front of you, a road alongside the lake and leading to Italy. It probably wasn't there or much used when the house was built in the twenties.

We stayed at BnB 122 for two nights in August and were very happy to find the B&B was exactly as we expected. To our surprise we had even been upgraded to the blue room which had a wonderful view of lake maggiore and included a large ensuite bathroom. We also had our own private door onto the balcony which again had a wonderful view of the lake. Dea was the perfect host and showed us where we could help ourselves to beer and wine (leaving a donation of our choosing). We could help ourselves to breakfast in the morning, which mainly consisted of cereal, toast, meat, yogurts, juice, coffee and tea. The B&B is quirky and inviting and you generally get a very respectful vibe which was exactly what we wanted. Given the price, you really couldn't ask for more. Thank you Dea for a lovely stay!
